  • Recently a rapidly changing business environment, business strong ability and operating an integrated information system is actively made. However, the result of the success factors affecting the overall project, but a study to analyze the project's success is not enough. In this study, the project implementation and operation of the critical success factors that can occur in the analysis of research and practice leading to the combination of variables derived from empirical studies find and isolate the success factors were over. Present study came from existing projects that can be the integrated system, representation factors affecting the implementation and operation of business processes in order to analyze the elements and procedures, performance capabilities of the organization, consultants and professionals involved with other related variables were analyzed by injecting. In this study, the consultants and experts showed that the variables are very significant rather than the organization's ability to perform business processes and procedures. This study will give a guideline as future success factors for building an integrated system of professional experiences.

  • Korean local governments have been planning for u-City construction with great efforts. Such efforts are needed in order to reflect the urban characteristics of each city, to promote local economic growth, and to have a sustainable operation model. Thus it is critical at an earlier stage to set a strategic direction based on urban environment analysis, which will lead to a feasible implementation of u-City. This paper derives issues and suggests improvement methods based on a case study on the USPs (u-City Strategy Planning's) of ten local governments. It is expected that the improvement methods will greatly reduce risks involved in u-City construction and contribute to better provided local-specific u-services.

  • Recently, Modeling and Simulation, which have been received attention in various in dustries such as national defence, eduction and entertainment, have been researched, and related applications have been developed actively. Especially, it is focused on the to chnology of a virtual reality and a virtual simulation which represents the implementation technology for the simulation education related to the e-Learning industry. However, a solution is needed to fulfill the lack of technology and research about standardize d data elements which could be applied to virtual simulation technologies in common. Therefore, this article suggests the virtual simulation data elements to increase the educational effect of a virtual simulation and interoperability of data among LMS through reference to korean and international standards and the result of related area analysis. In other words, this article aims to define the expression of data element and to propose the guideline elements in the virtual simulation scope.

  • EIA has been introduced as a tool for environment protection into promulgation of the Environment Preservation Act in 1977, which replaced the Pollution Control Act in Korea. EIA system has been improved with the enlargement of project type, public participation, guideline improvement, and regulatory development. Recently, Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA) Act will have an important role for sustainable development. This article deals with regulatory development, implementation order, EIA project type, and EIS preparation guidelines by Act promulgated and amended, also it explains comparison analysis of Environmental Policy Act and Environment Impact Assessment Act Major results are summarized in the table.

The epidemiology and present status of chronic hepatitis B in Korean children (한국 소아 B형 간염의 역학과 현황)

  • Korea is now classified as an area of intermediate endemicity for hepatitis B virus (HBV), due to the implementation of universal HBV vaccination and national preventive programs for HBV infection. A national program of HBV vaccination was launched in Korea in 1988 for school-going children and was listed on a vaccination guideline in 1991. In 1995, universal vaccination for newborn infants was started for the prevention of perinatal HBV transmission. The prevalence of HBsAg among Korean middle school students has shown marked decreased from 3.2% in the late 1990s to 0.44% in 2007. HBsAg positivity in preschool children was 0.9% in 1995, decreased to 0.2% in 2007 by national prevention program of hepatitis B vertical transmission, launched in 2002. Vaccine failure rate of HBV immunoprophylaxis is 4.2% by this program. The infected children should be monitored per 6-12 months interval. Lamivudine and interferon are approved therapies for children with chronic hepatitis B in immune-clearance phase in Korea.

  • Response surface methodology (RSM) is a useful collection of experimentation techniques for developing, improving, and optimizing products and processes. When we are to estimate second-order regression model and optimize quality characteristic by RSM, central composite designs and Box-Behnken designs are widely in use. However, in developing cutting-edge products, it is very crucial to reduce the time of experimentation as much as possible. In this paper small-sized second-order designs are introduced and their estimation abilities are compared in terms of D-optimality, A-optimality, and variance of regression coefficients, ease of experimentation, number of experiments. Then we present a guideline of using specific designs for specific experimentation circumstances. The result of this study will be beneficial to experimenters who face experiments which are expensive, difficult, or time-consuming.

  • This paper presents a fundamental study to establish a standardization system of the Construction Continuous Acquisition and Life-cycle Support(CALS). States of standardization in the Construction CALS were reviewed to find some defects in developing CALS system in construction industry. It is analyzed that three of major parts were needed to put up a standardization system for the Construction CALS. Firstly, the range of Construction CALS standardization is set up by identifying of Construction CALS and defining the standard and standardization. Secondly, the strategy to enable more effective implementation of Construction CALS standardization and the relationship of the concerned system presented can be used for establishing the Construction CALS standardization system. In addition, the spread and application device is proposed for using Construction CALS standards at public institutions and construction related companies. Conclusively, a classification system of the Construction CALS standards was proposed and some objects to be standardized were presented in the classification system. What were studied in this paper will provide the primary information and guidance to develop a guideline for standardization of the Construction CALS.

  • This study focus on the revitalization of green tourism by the agricultural landscape conservation policy. Today, agricultural landuse for food production is restricted by agricultural products import. In this context, agricultural land use policy should be paradigm shift to the consumers needs which accelerates the green tourism in the rural areas. This research screen the agricultural landscape conservation policy of Japan' system and construct the new policy implementation for agricultural landscape conservation in Korea. For this purpose, agricultural landscape guideline and support system should be established in line with the revitalization of green tourism and agricultural income diversification in the rural areas.

  • After 2000 year, cremation rate have increased constantly as public concepts change, while grave area where occupy over 1% of South Korea territory also increase steadily. The purpose of this study is to establish the foundation of maintenance and implementation of temporary burial system introduced in 2011 through research on the actual condition. In this paper, improvement of guideline for the study area and prototype of across the board burial mound survey are offered through carry out research on the five case study area. In addition effective way for nationwide project also is suggested.

  • A Safety Case is an railway organization's formal arrangement, through the provision of policies, resources and processes, to ensure the safety of its work activity within safety management system. An effective system helps the organization to identify and manage risks effectively. It allows an organization to demonstrate its capability in achieving its safety objectives and in meeting regulatory requirements. The purpose of this research is to give how to the risk assessments are described within Railway Safety Cases can be prepared and maintained to meet the criteria specified by the upcoming railway regulations. Through this research, we propose the elements of safety management system that include arrangements for the ongoing identification of hazards, assessment of risks and the implementation of necessary control measures.
