  • This study intends to develop a pulse discharge device to strengthen the pushing power by expanding the cavity of the anchor settlement to form a spheric root for the purpose of constructing the economical and stable anchor. and, a series of field test were carried out in order to check applicability of machines of pulse powered underreamed anchors. Through the experiments, the electrical characteristics of the pulse power equipment had been identified it and the dynamic pressure generated from the subsequent change had been measured. Here, the measured dynamic pressure is the cavity expansion pressure to impact on the ground around the anchor settlement. Since this pressure has effects of cavity expansion and bored surface hardening with dynamic hardening effects on the anchor settlement, it is expected that it will largely contribute the increase of pushing power with a strong frictional resistance.

  • After being enforced web board game enforcement ordinance, the majority manufacturer of sales that had been operating a web board game was greatly reduced. This restriction is true and that it had a significant impact in preventing exchange and gambling resistance, abnormal use has occurred to still bypass. Therefore, in this study, you can either leave a note of the 'Web Board' sunset enforcement ordinance, and how the debate any changes are necessary and alternative dimension approach, especially we try to study an unusual user patterns that utilize the game system of responsibility as an alternative.

  • The use of non-bearing lightweight wall has increased recently due to the increase of high-rise buildings and supply of long-life housing. Lightweight wall has advantages such as reducing the self-weight of the building, convenience in installation, and shortening construction period, however, must have a sufficient strength to external force. This study standardized the stiffness (static horizontal load resistance) test method for lightweight walls by using the actual impact load obtained through the load analysis test conducted in the previous studies. The size of specimen was set up as height 2.4m and width 3.0m. Test apparatus and test methods were referred to BS 5234-2:1992. However, the loading level applied to the specimen was divided into 3 steps (3000N, 1000N, 500N) that can be applied selectively depending on the purpose of the wall. The deformation characteristics according to the same loading level were vary depending on the specimen's type, and the evaluation criteria for functional damage may vary depending on the material, method of construction, and purpose of wall. Therefore, we did not suggest unified evaluation criteria of the stiffness to the test results.

  • a-Si solar cell has relatively dominant drift current when compared with crystalline solar cell due to the high internal electric field. Such drift current make an impact on the PV module in the local shading. In this paper, the a-Si PV module output characteristics of shading effects was approached in terms of process condition, because of the different deposition layer of thin film lead to rising the resistance. We suggested design condition to ensure the long-term durability of the module with regard to the degradation factors such as hot spot by analyzing the module specification. The result shows a remarkable difference on module uniformity for each shading position. In addition, the unbalanced power loss due to power mismatch of each module could intensify the degradation.

  • In this paper, the blast resisting performance of partially reinforced CFT columns was compared with the normal CFT columns to evaluate the effect of reinforcing with steel plates. Autodyn which is a specialized hydro-code for analysis of explosion and impact was used to simulate the structural behavior of the CFT columns under the blast loadings. The interaction between concrete and surrounding steel plates was modeled with friction and join option to represent the realistic damage of columns. According to the analysis, the partially reinforced CFT column showed enhanced blast resisting performance than the normal CFT columns. Also the improvement of blast resisting performance was depended on the height of reinforcing steel plates.

  • The significant reduction of the image quality caused by the magnetic field of samples is a major problem affecting the application of SEM (scanning electron microscopy) in the analysis of electronic devices. The main reason for this is that the electron trajectory is deflected by the Lorentz force. The usual solution to this problem is degaussing the sample at high temperatures. However, due to the poor heat resistance of some electronic components, it is imperative to find a method that can reduce the impact of magnetic field on the image quality and is straightforward and easy to operate without destroying the sample. In this paper, the influence of different magnetic field directions on the imaging quality was discussed by combining the experiment and software simulation. The principle of the method was studied, and the best observation direction was obtained.

  • Polypropylene short fiber (PP)-clay particulate-epoxy ternary composites were prepared by reinforcing PP short fiber and clay particles in the range of 0.1 phr to 0.7 phr into epoxy resin. Prepared hybrid composites were characterized for their mechanical, thermal and flame retardant properties. The obtained results indicated an increase in impact resistance, tensile strength, flexural strength and Young's modulus to an extent (up to 0.5 phr clay and 0.5 phr PP short fiber) and then decreases as the reinforcing phases are further increased. The thermal stability of these materials are found to increase up to 0.2 phr clay and 0.2 phr PP addition, beyond which it is decreased. Addition of clay is found to have the negative effect on epoxy-PP short fiber composites, which is evident from the comparison of mechanical and thermal properties of epoxy-0.5 phr PP short fiber composite and epoxy-0.5 phr PP short fiber-0.5 phr clay composite hybrid. UL-94 tests conducted on the composite hybrids have showed a reduction in the burning rate. Morphological observations indicated a greater fiber pull with the addition of clay. The performed tests in the present study indicated that materials under investigation have promising applications in construction, agriculture and decorative purposes.

  • Gray mold (Botrytis cinerea) is one of the most common diseases of strawberries (Fragaria${\times}$ananassa Duchesne) worldwide. Although many chemical fungicides are used for controlling the growth of B. cinerea, the risk of the fungus developing chemical resistance together with consumer demand for reducing the use of chemical fungicides have necessitated an alternative method to control this pathogen. Various naturally occurring microbes aggressively attack plant pathogens and benefit plants by suppressing diseases; these microbes are referred to as biocontrol agents. However, screening of potent biocontrol agents is essential for their further development and commercialization. In this study, 24 strains of yeast with antagonistic ability against gray mold were isolated, and the antifungal activity of the volatile and diffusible metabolites was evaluated. Putative mechanisms of action associated with the biocontrol capacity of yeast strains against B. cinerea were studied through in vitro and in vivo assays. The volatile organic compounds produced by the Galactomyces candidum JYC1146 could be useful in the biological control of plant pathogens and therefore are potential alternative fungicides with low environmental impact.

  • After open -ended model pipe pile, which was composed of inner tube and outer tube was driven by different installation methods, degradation in open -ended pipe pile capacity was studied during simulated horizontal seismic shaking, which was modeled by records of actual earthquake. Drgradation in ultimate capacity of open -ended pipe pile during simulated earthquake was about 20% in impact pile and was approached up to about 40% in vibratal pile. Most of degradation in ultimate pile capacity was occured in the outer shaft surface and degradations in outer skin friction, toe resistance of steel, and plugging force were about 80%, 10%, 10%, respectively. out of ultimate pile capacity. It appeared that this trend did not depend upon the different installation methods of pile.

  • In order to investigate the characteristics of penatration and the effect of surface treatment in A15052-H34, Al5082-Hl31 and titanium alloy laminates which were treated by anodizing and PVD(Physical Vapor Desposition) method, ballistic tests were conducted. Thickness of surface membrane in A15052-H34, Al5082-Hl31, were $25{\mu}m$ and that of titanium $0.9{\mu}m$ respectively. Surface hardness test was conducted using micro Vicker's hardness tester. Resistance to penetration is determined by the protection ballistic limit(V50), a statistical velocity with $50\%$ probability for complete penetration. Fracture behaviors and ballistic tolerance, described by penetration modes, are observed from the results of V50 test and Projectile Through Plate(PTP) test at velocities greater than protection ballistic limit, respectively. Present experimental results derived from this research help to optimize laminate impact behavior by varing the laminate thickness and surface treated materials.
