저속충격시험을 이용한 고체추진제의 동적 응력-변형률 특성 연구 (Study on the Dynamic Stress-Strain Behavior of Solid Propellant Using Low-Velocity Impact Test)

  • 본 연구에서는 고체추진제의 동적 응력-변형률 특성을 고찰하기 위하여 저속충격시험을 수행하였다. 저속충격시험 시 충격체(Impactor)의 하중, 변위를 측정하여 고체추진제의 동적 거동을 확인하였다. 3점 굽힘 형태의 저속충격시험을 수행하였고, 이때 발생하는 국소변위와 길이가 짧고 두께가 두꺼운 고체추진제 시편의 전단 변위를 보상하여 순수 굽힘변위를 계산하였다. 보상된 변위와 측정된 하중을 사용하여 응력과 변형률을 계산하였고 응력-변형률 곡선으로부터 고체추진제의 동적 물성을 획득하여 이를 정적 굽힘 물성과 비교하였다. 운용 환경에 따른 온도별 고체추진제의 동적 물성을 획득하기 위해 상온, 고온, 저온에서 실험을 수행하고 결과를 비교분석하였다.

골프 드라이버 스윙시 볼의 종류에 따른 비거리분석 (A Comparative Study of Flight Distance in Golf Swing, After the Driver Shot)

  • This study is examine and analysis of the most flying and run distance during swing three times with six balls between two amateurs and pro-golfers in golf field in Sungnam airport. During down swing, kinetics variances are velocity of club-head and balls, vertical angular velocity. this scientic data present amateur golfers with recognition of long flying distances for golf balls. Through this study, the conclusions are as follows. 1. Before impact the balls, The club-head velocity of amateur golfers and pro-golfers show 33.34 - 39.53m/s, 39.04 - 42.82m/s respectively during the down swing. But The club-head velocity, flight and Run distances comparative $K_1$ amateur golfer with the pro-golfer are similar. 2. After impact the balls, The balls velocity if amateur golfers show 53.04 - 61.57m/s, The pro-golfers show 62.32 - 63.4m/s respectively during the down swing. In case of $K_3$,$K_4$, After the impact balls velocity comparative The RA brand with other brand are similar, Flight and Run distance are difference. 3. After impact the balls, The balls velocity are difference to other brand but The long flight and Run distance arrange RA, BIG, TITL. 4. In the vertical flight angle of the ball after impact, amateur golfer showed 16.75 - $18.73^{\circ}$. The pro-golfer showed 15.03 - $16.04^{\circ}$. In the vertical flight angle of the balls ideal $12-13^{\circ}$, The long flight and Run distance approach In the vertical flight angle the balls $12-13^{\circ}$.

고속충격을 받는 CFRP 복합재료의 잔류강도 예측 (Prediction of Residual Strength of CFRP Subjected to High Velocity Impact)

  • The purpose of this research is to propose a model for the prediction of residual strength. For this purpose, two-paremeter model based on Caprino's is developed and formulated by the ratio of indentation due to impact and normalized residual strength. The damage zone is considered only as an indentation. Impact tests are carried out on laminated composites by steel balls. Test material is carbon/epoxy laminate. The specimens are composed of $[{\pm}45^{\circ}/0^{\circ}/90^{\circ}]_2$ and $[\pm}45^{\circ}]_4$ stacking sequence and have $0.75^T{\times}0.26^W{\times}100^L(mm) dimension. A proposed model shows a good correlation with the experimental results And failure mechanism due to high impact velocity is discussed on CFRP laminates to examine the initiation and development of damage by fractography and ultrasonic image ststem. The effect of the unidirectional ply position on the residual strength is considered here.

Behaviour of GFRP composite plate under ballistic impact: experimental and FE analyses

  • In this paper, experimental as well as numerical analysis of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) laminated composite has been presented under ballistic impact with varying projectile nose shapes (conical, ogival and spherical) and incidence velocities. The experimental impact tests on GFRP composite plate reinforced with woven glass fiber ($0^{\circ}/90^{\circ}$)s are performed by using pneumatic gun. A three dimensional finite element model is developed in AUTODYN hydro code to validate the experimental results and to study the ballistic perforation characteristic of the target with different parametric variations. The influence of projectile nose shapes, plate thickness and incidence velocity on the variation of residual velocity, ballistic limit, contact force-time histories, energy absorption, damage pattern and damage area in the composite target have been studied. The material characterization of GFRP composite is carried out as required for the progressive damage analysis of composite. The numerical results from the present FE model in terms of residual velocity, absorbed energy, damage pattern and damage area are having close agreement with the results from the experimental impact tests.

  • The impact of a long-rod penetrator into oblique plates with combined obliquity and yaw is investigated. The study was done using a newly developed three dimensional dynamic and impact analysis code, which uses the explicit finite element method. Through the comparison of simulation result with experimental result and other code's result, the adaptability and accuracy of the developed code is evaluated under the complex situation in which yaw angle and oblique angle exist simultaneously. As a result of comparison, it has found that deformed shape, residual length and velocity, rotational velocity of long-rod show good agreement with experimental data. Through this study, the applicability and accuracy of the code as a metallic armour system design tool is verified.

  • Recently, composite material which has much excellent mechanical characteristics has been applied in many industries. However, it has a brittle characteristic under impact event. Especially, its invisible characteristics of the damaged area has been the motivation of many engineers investigation, and the nonlinearity of the impact mechanism is one of the main reason to assume the damaged area too simple. The damage mechanism of the composite laminated plate subjected to low velocity impact using ABAQUS/Standard & user subroutine was presented here.

Study on the response of circular thin plate under low velocity impact

  • In this paper, forming of fully clamped circular plate by using low velocity impact system has been investigated. This system consists of liquid shock tube and gravity drop hammer. A series of test on mild steel and aluminum alloy plates has been done. The effect of varying both impact load and the plate material on the deflection are described. This paper also presents a simple model to prediction of mid-point deflection of circular plate by using input-output experimental data. In this way, singular value decomposition (SVD) method is used in conjunction with dimensionless number incorporated in such complex process. The results of obtained model have very good agreement with experimental data and it provides a way of studying and understanding the plastic deformation of impact loads.

Impact Damage Behavior in Filament Wound Composite Pressure Vessel

  • The goals of the paper are to understand the impact damage behavior and identify the effect of surface protective materials on impact resistance in filament wound composite pressure vessels. For these, a series of low velocity impact tests was performed on specimens cutting from the full scale pressure vessel by the instrumented impact testing machine. The specimens are classified into two types, which are with and without surface protective material. The visualization for impact damage by two different impactors is made by metallurgical microscope. Based on the impact force history and damage, the impact resistance parameters were employed,rod its validity in identifying the damage resistance of filament wound composite pressure vessel was reviewed. As the results, the impact resistance of the filament wound composites and its dependency on the surface protective material were evaluated quantitatively

탄소/에폭시 복합재 적층판과 강판의 저속충격 거동에 관한 비교 연구 (Comparative Study on Low-velocity Impact Behavior of Graphite/Epoxy Composite laminate and Steel Plate)

  • 본 연구에서는 탄소/에폭시 복합재 적층판과 강철평판의 저속충격 거동에 관한 비교 연구를 수행하였다. 각각의 평판의 해석을 위한 판의 충격거동의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 Karas 모델을 사용하여 해석 검증을 하였다. 충격거동 비교연구를 위한 모델은 Karas 모델과 동일한 두께의 강철평판을 모사하였고, 같은 두께의 복합재 적층판을 모사하기 위하여 $[0/90/45/-45/-45/45/90/0]_{8S}$ 적층각을 이용하여 모델링 하였다. 각각의 판에 대한 저속충격 거동을 비교하기 위해 일정한 속도로 낙하하는 충격체 무게별 해석과 일정한 무게를 가진 충격체의 속도변화에 따른 해석 결과를 비교 연구하였다. 연구결과 복합재 적층판과 강철평판의 물성치로 인하여 접촉하중과 판의 변위에서는 결과값의 차이를 보였으나 복합재 적층판의 경우가 판의 유연한 특성으로 충격완화 효과가 보였으며 강철평판 보다 무게비와 충격손상에 대한 우수성을 확인하여 볼 수 있었다.

탑승자 안전지수에 영향을 주는 데이터 처리과정과 수치절차 (Data Processing and Numerical Procedures Influencing on Occupant Risk Indices)

  • 차량방호 안전시설에 대한 성능의 검증은 충돌시험의 가속도와 각속도 데이터를 사용하여 산정한 탑승자 안전지수를 평가하여 이루어진다. 탑승자 안전지수로는 THIV(Theoretical Head Impact Velocity), PHD(Post-impact Head Deceleration), ASI(Acceleration Severity Index), OIV(Occupant Impact Velocity)와 ORA(Occupant Ridedown Acceleration)가 있다. 탑승자 안전지수 계산에 상이한 데이터 처리과정과 수치절차의 적용이 가능하기 때문에 동일한 시험 데이터에 대하여 다양한 탑승자 안전지수값이 결정될 수 있어서 혼란이 초래되고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 다양한 상세절차와 데이터 처리과정이 탑승자 안전지수에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 지침에 제시된 계측시간간격을 사용하여 차량충돌시험이 수행된다면 보간법과 수치적분방법은 THIV와 OIV 값에 영향을 크게 미치지 않았다. 그리고 PHD에 대한 10msec 이동평균방법과 데이터 처리과정의 영점보정은 탑승자 안전지수에 상당한 영향을 미치기 때문에 이에 관한 구체적인 방법이 지침에 규정되어야 한다.
