  • This study was for applying web based street fashion design analysis system(web-SFAS), which was designed in preceding research and realized, to a practical use. Web-SFAS was developed to analyze data fast, accurately, conveniently, and to provide them to related fields by using Information Technology (IT) in fashion design industry. By inputting, sorting and analyzing actual image data into this system, it purposes to check if it needs to be corrected and to verify its operation and application. This study was collected in 2004 s/s 177 points image data and survey results input to the system This system analyzed the results as follow ; First, in all four areas of S/S, many people wear soft materials and plain T-shirts on top and tough material and plain jeans on the bottom. Second, In the case of dresses, in many areas people wear tough fabric plain A-line, one-piece dresses but in Hapsung-dong, many people wear geometrical figures. Third, fashion image, most people wear a sportive casual style with semi casual in a close second. Therefore, web-SFAS can be useful system analyzing for the trendy apparel type, design, material, color, image and variable in demography through street fashion image data.

  • In the past, the image processing system is independently implemented and has a limit in its application to a degree of simple display. The scope of present image processing system is diversely extended in its application owing to the development of image processing It chips. In this paper, we implement the image processing system operated independently without PC by converting analogue image signals into digital signals. In the proposed image processing system, we extract the motion parameters from analogue image signals and generate the virtual movement to Simulator. Also we analysis the image control algorithm and operate Simulator by extracting motion parameters.

  • This pc-vision system digitizes/displays 512*512*8 bit pixel image in real time and is capable of the various image processing. This system provides a versatile solution to those users pursuing high performance image processing system compatible with the VME bus, and is general purpose imaging system giving the optimal efficiency for machine vision, medical use and various task. In this paper, Image processing technique has classified image enhancement and image analysis in order to design and implement the pc-vision system. In order to improve processing speed, This system unilizing ROI processing performs point operation, local operation and global operation as well as common arithmetic/logic operation in real time.

  • High resolution synthetic aperture radar image could be sensitive to the various parameters of the payload, platform, and ground system. In this paper, a parameter based SAR simulator is presented for two-dimensional image formation and image quality analysis. Functional modules are implemented by Matalb code and GUI for the flexibility and expandability. Main function of this simulator includes the SAR input signal generation, range-doppler algorithm(RDA) based SAR image formation, and the SAR image quality analysis which is relevant to the SAR system design parameters. This simulator can effectively be used for the SAR image quality performance evaluation, which can be applicable to the airborne as well as spaceborne SAR system design and analysis.

  • All image data acquisition systems for example the digital camera and digital camcorder, use the image sensor to convert the image data (light) into electronic data. These image sensors are used in satellite camera for high quality and resolution image data. There are two kinds of image sensors, the one is the CCD (charge coupled device) detector sensor and the other is the CMOS (complementary metal-oxide semiconductor) image sensor. The CCD sensor control system has more complex than the CMOS sensor control system. For the high quality image data on CCD sensor, the precise timing control signal and the several voltage sources are needed in the control system. In this paper, the comparison of the CCD with CMOS sensor, the CCD sensor characteristic, and the control system will be described.

The fast image encryption algorithm based on substitution and diffusion

  • A fast image encryption system based on substitution and diffusion was proposed, which includes one covering process, one substitution process and two diffusion processes. At first, Chen's chaotic system together with an external 256-bit long secret key was used to generate the key streams for image encryption, in which the initial values of Chen's chaotic system were regarded as the public key. Then the plain image was masked by the covering process. After that the resulting image was substituted with the disturbed S-Box of AES. Finally, the substituted image was diffused twice with the add-modulo operations as the core to obtain the cipher image. Simulation analysis and comparison results with AES and some existing image cryptosystems show that the proposed image cryptosystem possesses the merits of fast encryption/decryption speed, good statistical characteristics, strong sensitivity and etc., and can be used as a candidate system of network security communication.

PCB Defects Detection using Connected Component Classification (연결 성분 분류를 이용한 PCB 결함 검출)

  • This paper proposes computer visual inspection algorithms for PCB defects which are found in a manufacturing process. The proposed method can detect open circuit and short circuit on bare PCB without using any reference images. It performs adaptive threshold processing for the ROI (Region of Interest) of a target image, median filtering to remove noises, and then analyzes connected components of the binary image. In this paper, the connected components of circuit pattern are defined as 6 types. The proposed method classifies the connected components of the target image into 6 types, and determines an unclassified component as a defect of the circuit. The analysis of the original target image detects open circuits, while the analysis of the complement image finds short circuits. The machine vision inspection system is implemented using C language in an embedded Linux system for a high-speed real-time image processing. Experiment results show that the proposed algorithms are quite successful.

  • The research study was conducted for development of the advanced image analysis service system based on deep learning. CNN(Convolutional Neural Network) is built in this system to extract learning data collected from Google and Instagram. The service gets a place image of Jeju as an input and provides relevant location information of it based on its own learning data. Accuracy improvement plans are applied throughout this study. In conclusion, the implemented system shows about 79.2 of prediction accuracy. When the system has plenty of learning data, it is expected to predict various places more accurately.

  • The purpose of this research is to enhance document recognition system which is essential for developing full-text retrieval system of the document image data stored in the digital library of a public institution. To achieve this purpose, the main tasks of this research are: 1) analyzing the document image data and then developing its image preprocessing technology and document structure analysis one, 2) building its specialized knowledge base consisting of document layout and property, character model and word dictionary, respectively. In addition, developing the management tool of this knowledge base, the document recognition system is able to handle the various types of the document image data. Currently, we developed the prototype system of document recognition which is combined with the specialized knowledge base and the library of document structure analysis, respectively, adapted for the document image data housed in National Archives of Korea. With the results of this research, we plan to build up the test-bed and estimate the performance of document recognition system to maximize the utilization of full-text retrieval system.

An Onboard Image Processing System for Road Images (도로교통 영상처리를 위한 고속 영상처리시스템의 하드웨어 구현)

  • A computer vision system applied to an intelligent safety vehicle has been required to be worked on a small sized real time special purposed hardware not on a general purposed computer. In addition, the system should have a high reliability even under the adverse road traffic environment. This paper presents a design and an implementation of an onboard hardware system taking into account for high speed image processing to analyze a road traffic scene. The system is mainly composed of two parts: an early processing module of FPGA and a postprocessing module of DSP. The early processing module is designed to extract several image primitives such as the intensity of a gray level image and edge attributes in a real-time Especially, the module is optimized for the Sobel edge operation. The postprocessing module of DSP utilizes the image features from the early processing module for making image understanding or image analysis of a road traffic scene. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated by an experiment of a lane-related information extraction. The experiment shows the successful results of image processing speed of twenty-five frames of 320$\times$240 pixels per second.
