인조 스웨이드의 handle 및 질감에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Handle and Texture of Artificial Suede)

  • A range of suede-like samples were collected including woven fabric type, nonwoven fabric type, and natural suede(sheep). The surface textures of these suede-like fabrics are rather diverse and different from the plain filament type fabrics since there are a lot of fine surface free fiber ends. Physical and mechanical measurements were carried using the KES equipments. Based on the Kawabata-Niwa translational equation, primary hand values and THV were calculated. Uniaxial tensile tests were performed. Using glossmeter, the reflectance pattern was analyzed at different incidence and receiving angles. In order to capture the surface images of the specimens, a CCD camera and frame grabber connected to a PC were employed. The reflectance uniformity of the images was measured with line-profile analysis and standard deviation values of the profile of the images were calculated. After the multiscale wavelet transfermation, correlation among the transformed image was analyzed at each scale. The reflectance uniformity of the natural suede was better than that of nonwoven type suede, while that of woven type suede was the last among the selected three samples(natural suede, nonwoven type, woven type). The correlation analysis among images has shown the possibility of using the wavelet transformation of the images as one of the measures to detect similarities among the textured specimens.

  • 과표본화된 이산 웨이브렛 변환은 입력 데이터보다 더 많은 양의 부대역 데이터들이 생성되지만 기존의 웨이브렛 변환의 이동 불변 불만족의 단점을 극복할 수 있다. 비분리 표본화를 기반으로 하는 이산 웨이브렛 변환은 이동 불변의 특징의 만족과 방향 선택성 등에서 더 많은 부대역 영상을 통하지만 더 효율적이다. 본 논문에서는 보다 많은 부대역 영상을 생성하는 2차원 영상처리 과표본화 된 웨이브렛 변환의 효율적인 처리를 가능하게 하여 디지털 영상의 품질 향상 및 잡음제거 응용 분야에 적용시킬 수 있음을 제안하였다.

3차원 Volume PIV의 개발 (Development of 3-D Volume PIV)

  • A Process of 3-D Particle image velocimetry, called here, as '3-D volume PIV' was developed for the full-field measurement of 3-D complex flows. The present method includes the coordinate transformation from image to camera, calibration of camera by a calibrator based on the collinear equation, stereo matching of particles by the approximation of the epipolar lines, accurate calculation of 3-D particle positions, identification of velocity vectors by 3-D cross-correlation equation, removal of error vectors by a statistical method followed by a continuity equation criterior, and finally 3-D animation as the post processing. In principle, as two frame images only are necessary for the single instantaneous analysis 3-D flow field, more effective vectors are obtainable contrary to the previous multi-frame vector algorithm. An Experimental system was also used for the application of the proposed method. Three analog CCD camera and a Halogen lamp illumination were adopted to capture the wake flow behind a bluff obstacle. Among 200 effective particle s in two consecutive frames, 170 vectors were obtained averagely in the present study.

생체인식을 위한 홍채영상의 특징 추출 (A Feature Extraction Method in Iris Image for Biometrics)

  • 홍채 인식은 판별인자가 지문에 비해 매우 높은 정확도를 갖는다. 홍채의 주름을 주파수로 바꾸는 과정을 통해 짧은 시간 내에 인식 가능하며 살아있는 사람의 흥채는 미세한 떨림이 있기 때문에 도용이 거의 불가능하다. 하지만 홍채의 영상은 시간이 지나 인체의 변화에 따라 홍채가 변화될 경우 기존의 흥채를 이용한 신원 확인시스템은 오인식할 수 있다는 문제점이 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 신원확인 시스템에서 생체 인식을 위한 RIAA(Renewable Iris Authentication Algorithm) 알고리즘을 제안하고 구현하였다. 이 알고리즘은 신원 확인을 위한 홍채 인식 방법에 관한 것으로서, 홍채를 일정층상의 측면에서 단층 촬영할 때 나타나는 등고선 즉, 돌출 혹은 침강 면의 경계선을 근거로 홍채코드를 생성하여 원본과 비교하게 함으로서 개인의 신원을 확인하도록 하는 홍채 인식방법에 관한 것이다.

  • Transformation of molecular film occurs only usually in air-water interface, 2 dimensions domain's growth and crash are achieved. Formation that prevent when gas phase state and liquid phase state measure but Could know organic matter that molecules form equal and stable film when molecules were not distributed evenly. and accumulated in solid state only.

  • 가상스튜디오에서 보다 현실감 있는 영상을 제작하기 위해서는 전경화면의 객체와 컴퓨터그래픽으로 지원하는 가상 배경화면간의 동기화를 정확히 실현하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문은 TV 카메라(실사 카메라)에 대한 추적 영상좌표를 이용하여 동기화에 필요한 카메라 파라메타의 추출방법을 제안한다. 추적 영상에 대한 역투시 방정식과 실사 카메라에 대한 기존좌표와 추정좌표간의 3-D 변환 식으로부터 카메라 파라메타 추출 식을 유도하고, 유도된 식을 이용하여 추출한 파라메타와 실사 카메라에 적용한 파라메타 간의 일치정도를 비교하여 제안한 방법에 대한 타당성을 보인다.

  • 색은 칼라 모니터 상에서 삼원색에 대한 수치를 조합하여 나타내는 RGB칼라모델과 명도, 색도, 채도항의 IHS 칼라모델, CMY칼라모델, YIQ 칼라모델 등을 이용하여 나타낼 수 있다. IHS칼라모델은 RGB칼라모델보다 사용자가 색을 수학적으로 평가하여 쉽게 조정할 수 있는 이점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 Landsat TM의 밴드 3,2,1을 조합한 인공위성 영상과 스캐닝한 지도영상을 IHS 변환과 명도 조정 기법을 이용하여 색분해를 통한 재합성을 실시하므로서 천연색 지도 영상을 제작할 수 있었다. 그리고 인공위성영상과 지도영상을 합성할 때 발생하는 문제점과 그 해결방안을 제시하였다.

  • This paper describes techniques of camera calibration and artificial landmarks detection for the automatic charging of a mobile robot, equipped with a fish-eye camera in the direction of its operation for movement or surveillance purposes. For its identification from the surrounding environments, three landmarks employed with infrared LEDs, were installed at the charging station. When the robot reaches a certain point, a signal is sent to the LEDs for activation, which allows the robot to easily detect the landmarks using its vision camera. To eliminate the effects of the outside light interference during the process, a difference image was generated by comparing the two images taken when the LEDs are on and off respectively. A fish-eye lens was used for the vision camera of the robot but the wide-angle lens resulted in a significant image distortion. The radial lens distortion was corrected after linear perspective projection transformation based on the pin-hole model. In the experiment, the designed system showed sensing accuracy of ${\pm}10$ mm in position and ${\pm}1^{\circ}$ in orientation at the distance of 550 mm.

Block Based Blind & Secure Gray Image Watermarking Technique Based on Discrete Wavelet Transform and Singular Value Decomposition

  • In this paper block based blind secure gray image watermarking scheme based on discrete wavelet transform and singular value decomposition is proposed. In devising the proposed scheme, security is given high importance along with other two requirements: robustness and imperceptibility. The use of discrete wavelet transform not only improves robustness but the selection of bands with high tolerance towards noise caused an improvement in terms of imperceptibility. The robustness further improved due to the involvement of singular vectors along with singular values in watermark embedding and extraction process. Finally, to achieve security, the selected DWT band is decomposed into smaller blocks and random blocks are chosen for modification. Furthermore, the elements of left and right singular vectors of selected blocks are chosen based on their dependence upon each other for watermark embedding. Various experiments using different images as host and watermark were conducted to examine and validate the proposed technique. Additionally, the proposed technique is tested against various attacks like compression, affine transformation, cropping, translation, X shearing, scaling, Y shearing, filtering, blurring, different kinds of noises, histogram equalization, rotation, etc. Lastly, the proposed technique is compared with state-of-the-art watermarking techniques and their comparison shows significant improvement of proposed scheme over existing techniques.

  • Shape description and its corresponding matching algorithm is one of the main concerns in MPEG-7. In this paper, a new method is proposed for shape registration of 2D objects for MPEG-7 Shapes are recognized using the Hu statistical moments in frequency domain. The Hu moments are moment-based descriptors of planar shapes, which are invariant under general translation, rotational, scaling, and reflection transformation. The image is transformed into frequency domain using Fourier Transform. Annular and radial wedge distributions fur the power spectra are extracted. Different statistical features (Hu moments) are found f3r the power spectrum of each selected transformed individual feature. The Euclidean distance of the extracted moment descriptors of the features are found with respect to the shapes in the database. The minimum Euclidean distance is the candidate for the matched shape. The simulation results are performed on the test shapes of MPEG-7.
