플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 의사윤곽 개선에 관한 연구 (The Study for Improvement of False Contour in the Plasma Display Panel)

  • Plasma display panels normally utilize the binary coded light emission scheme for gray scale expression. Subsequently, this expression method makes dynamic false contours. We propose the "E3DSM(enhanced 3-dimension scattering method)" that improved existing 3-d scattering method and the "HAM(histogram analysis method)" that is decided the driving schemes and subfield selections with histograms of images. Simulation results show the improving image quality.

  • It is important factor; understand definition and concept, grasp application method and property about transparency for expression of skin in design of retail space. This research do target; clarify the feature of transparency for expression of skin in modern retail space, and it is based in these viewpoint that analyze the feature through an experiment of image estimation(SD method) into object to modern retail space that express transparency of skin.

제품디자인에서 PCCS 색체계를 적용한 색채표현 -남성용 자전거 헬멧 제품을 중심으로- (Color Expression in Produce Design applying PCCS Color System -Focusing on Male Bike Helmet Products-)

  • 본 연구는 국내에서 유통되고 있는 100 여종의 남성용 헬멧 제품을 대상으로 색채표현에 관한 고찰을 위해 구매 선호도가 높은 제품을 대상으로 색채의 이미지 스케일, PCCS 색체계를 적용한 색채분석, 그리고 제품 구매결정시 색채의 영향력을 고찰하였다. 연구대상이 되는 헬멧 제품은 자전거 탑승시에 사용되고 있는 남성용 헬멧으로 헬멧의 종류를 구분하지 않고 국내에서 유통되고 있는 전제품으로 설정하였다. 국내에서 유통 중인 남성용 헬멧에 대하여 일괄적으로 색채에 따라 이미지 스케일을 4영역(Soft, Hard, Dynamic, Static)으로 고찰하였으며, 또한 설문조사 결과 구매 빈도수가 상위 10위내의 제품이 갖는 색채의 이미지 스케일을 분석하였다. 그리고 이들 제품에 대하여 각각 PCCS 색체계에 의한 분석을 실시하였다. 마지막으로 실증분석으로 헬멧 제품 구입시 색채가 구매결정에 미치는 영향력을 분석하기 위해 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사는 서울지역 S 대리점에 소속된 18개 자전거 동호회에 가입된 20~50대 남성을 대상으로 실시하였고, 수집된 설문의 총 자료수는 422개 파악되었으나 내용이 불충분한 8개를 제외한 414개를 최종 자료로 사용하였다. 결론을 크게 3부문으로 나눌 수 있다.

패션 일러스트레이션에 나타난 판타스틱 신체의 표현 분석 (The Expression of Fantastic Body in Fashion Illustration)

  • These days, the fantastic in opposition to classic beauty becomes a genre of creative body expression. The purpose of this study was to analyze the expressive characteristics of body types and meanings in recent fantastic fashion illustration. The method of this study was to analyze recent documentaries, fashion books, internet web site and so forth. The results were as follows: In literatures, pictures and movies, the category of the fantastic body's expressive types were classified as dominant mutant based on SF, multi body or fragment body by disruption, heterogeneous compound based on myth, personified humanoid and non substance in supernatural boundary. The dominant mutant based on SF was expressed image morphing, composition of machine image with body and modern metamorphosis of classic SF body. It means propensity to post-feminism and reservation of meaning analysis based on human unconsciousness. The multi body or fragment body by disruption in fashion illustration was expressed distorted composition of same body pictures, replacement of different bodies, deconstruction and partial omission of body and composition of meaning or non meaning images. It means permanence of self and basic narcissism. The heterogeneous compound based on myth was expressed general composition or optical illusion of various and aggressive animal motive. It means reinterpretation of original myth, metaphor of basic femme fatale, pursuit of permanence and sign of primitive mind in unconsciousness. The personified humanoid was expressed real human body description of mannequin or ball joint doll and anthropomorphism of robot image. It means representative satisfaction and nostalgia of childhood. The non substance in supernatural boundary was expressed grotesque description of ghost, zombie, vampire, angel, fairy, using of symbolic red, black color and non body. It means human's basic desire about immortality and taboo. Through the result of these study, the expression of fantastic body in fashion illustration will expend expressive method and we will understand human and cultural codes of today.

반복 점진적 방법에 의한 2차원 단백질 분리 영상의 반점 정합 (An Iterative Spot Matching for 2-Dimensional Protein Separation Images)

  • 2 Dimensional Gel Electrophoresis(2DGE) is an essentialmethodology for analysis on the expression of various proteins. For example, information for the location, mass, expression, size and shape of the proteins obtained by 2DGE can be used for diagnosis, prognosis and biological progress by comparison of patients with the normal persons. Protein spot matching for this purpose is comparative analysis of protein expression pattern for the 2DGE images generated under different conditions. However, visual analysis of protein spots which are more than several hundreds included in a 2DGE image requires long time and heavy effort. Furthermore, geometrical distortion makes the spot matching for the same protein harder. In this paper, an iterative algorithm is introduced for more efficient spot matching. Proposed method is first performing global matching step, which reduces the geometrical difference between the landmarks and the spot to be matched. Thus, movement for a spot is defined by a weighted sum of the movement of the landmark spots. Weight for the summation is defined by the inverse of the distance from the spots to the landmarks. This movement is iteratively performed until the total sum of the difference between the corresponding landmarks is larger than a pre-selected value. Due to local distortion generally occurred in 2DGE images, there are many regions in whichmany spot pairs are miss-matched. In the second stage, the same spot matching algorithm is applied to such local regions with the additional landmarks for those regions. In other words, the same method is applied with the expanded landmark set to which additional landmarks are added. Our proposed algorithm for spot matching empirically proved reliable analysis of protein separation image by producing higher accuracy.

패션 컬렉션과 예술에 나타난 허무주의 표현 분석 (Analysis of Expressions on Nietzsche's Nihilism in Fashion Collection & Arts)

  • Based on a concept of Nietzschean nihilism, this study aimed at interpreting the nihilism in arts and its expressions, also analyzing the modern fashion collection from the same angle. The research was centered on arts after 1980, when post-modern formal destruction expanded in earnest and on the fashion collection after the 20th century, easily accessible to data. Particularly, it set 1994 nihilism collection by Alexander McQueen, a representative nihilist fashion designer as a starting point. Nietzsche mentioned that true arts may be achieved when Apollonian characteristics including a bodily sensory system and an idealization process and Dionysian characteristics including every human feeling are integrated. Besides, he emphasized the importance of an artist being represented as an image of ${\ddot{U}}bermensch$. The ${\ddot{U}}bermensch$ image, reflected in arts and artistic nihilism, represents themes of violence/death, realistic/unrealistic expressions, human body/inhuman aversion materials and the transmutation of a form. Fashion collection expressions, owing to the special characteristic of the show form unlike other arts, were segmented as a realistic ${\ddot{U}}bermensch$ image using a model in a theme, expression, material and form. The theme of violence/death was divided into the death of human and a society. Human life/death was expressed as destruction of human weakness and self-identity, sexual objectification and violence, and social death as destruction and conflict of a class, nation, culture and nature. As for the expression, it was divided into the realistic expression of the primitive/natural and directing of an unrealistic atmosphere using a show.

가브리엘 샤넬과 요지 야마모토의 무채색 복식에 나타난 디자인 특성과 패션 이미지 연구 (A Study on the Fashion Design Characteristics & Fashion Image of Gabrielle Chanel & Yohji Yamamoto)

  • The orientalism in fashion is believed to develop from the eclectic notion of oriental and occidental fashion. By studying on Gabrielle Chanel's clothing that is usually used by neutral colors and on Yohji Yamamoto's clothing that characterizes clothes in neutral colors, the purpose of this study is to seek ways for remaking Korean traditional clothing into a new modern one to gain a world reputation in terms of clothes. Therefore the study is for exploring the characteristics on the factors of fashion design such as color, line and textile materials with works of Gabrielle Chanel, a famous designer in Western world who has made a black color a popular one for people and works of Yohji Yamamoto, an well-known fashion designer of the East using neutral colors. This study analyzed, from the 2004 S/S to the 2006 F/W, the collection of works published in style.com through the works of Gabrielle Chanel, Yohji Yamamoto, and through the analysis of the visual target. A total of 527 images are used in this paper. Elements of fashion design analysis are lines, colors, and materials. The study reached the conclusion as follows after analyzing the characteristics on clothing with neutral colors of Gabrielle Chanel and Yohji Yamamoto. In case of aesthetic characteristics on the design of Gabrielle Channel, it has expression of feminist, sensual, modern and luxury. It is considered that Gabrielle Channel has a luxury image using a neutral color. Also using simple sleeveless in black and tweed structure, the garments have mixed with neutral colors. Fashion design characteristics on the design of Yohji Yamamoto classified into sensual, modern, ascetic expression. Therefore the design has a simple expression of using a black color. Yohji Yamamoto is a designer who pursues unstructured design by using various neutral colors such as black, gray and white based on the oriental sentiment.

홀로그램을 활용한 콘텐츠의 표현특성 및 요소에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Expressional Characteristics and Elements of Contents Using Hologram)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 홀로그램 기반 콘텐츠의 이미지 표현요소의 시각적 특성을 규명함으로써 효과적으로 홀로그램을 활용할 수 있는 방안을 모색해 보는데 있다. 이에 홀로그램 특성과 활용 사례를 분석하고 홀로그램을 이용한 콘텐츠의 효율적인 표현방법에 대해 연구하고자 한다. 연구방법으로는 홀로그램 기술과 관련된 문헌조사 및 선행연구를 통하여 홀로그램의 이론적 배경에 대해 고찰하고, 기존 홀로그램 기반 콘텐츠의 사례를 조사 분석하여 이를 바탕으로 홀로그램의 시각적 특성과 응용할 수 있는 표현요소를 도출하였다. 홀로그램은 프린팅, 광고, 문화재 복원, 전시, 공연 등에서 광범위하게 활용되고 있고 홀로그램 기반 콘텐츠 표현의 특성은 가상과 실제의 융합, 상호작용, 현실 공간의 시각적 확장으로 나타나며 기존에는 시각적 표현이 어려웠던 장면들의 연출이 가능하게 되어 관객의 흥미와 몰입감을 높여준다.

Comparison of Plasma Proteome Expression between the Young and Mature Adult Pigs

  • Here, we present an approach of blood plasma proteome profiling and their comparisons between the young and the adult pigs as prerequisite for the identification of bio-markers related to the health conditions, growth performance and meat quality. To profile the proteome in porcine plasma, blood samples were collected from 19 young piglets and 20 adult male barrows and the plasma was retrieved. Then, protein profiling was initiated using one and two-dimensional electrophoresis. Proteins were spotted and then identified by MALDI-TOF-TOF and LC-MS-MS. In the results, more than thirty-six and twenty eight protein spots were selected in young piglets and adult pigs, respectively and twenty three proteins were identified. The proteome profile images were compared between those ones using Image Master Version 7.0. The image of expressed proteome showed that most of proteins from plasma of young piglet separated clearly and concentrated in 2DE display compared to ones from adult. Image analysis in detail was carried out to look for the specific proteins related to age progression. It demonstrated that the characteristics of proteome expression could be distinct to their age stages. Further investigations needed to proceed to understand the age dependent change of protein conformation and biological meaning of those differences in proteome expression between young and mature adult pigs.

비선형 매니폴드 학습을 이용한 얼굴 이미지 합성 (Face Image Synthesis using Nonlinear Manifold Learning)

  • 얼굴 구성 요소 각각에 대한 파라미터로부터 특정한 포즈나 표정을 갖는 얼굴 이미지를 합성하는 방법을 제안한다 이러한 파라미터화는 얼굴 이미지의 표현과 저장, 전송을 효과적으로 수행할 수 있도록 한다. 그러나 얼굴 이미지의 변화는 고차원의 이미지 공간에서 복잡한 비선형 매니폴드를 구성하기 때문에 파라미터화 하는 것이 쉽지 않다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해, 얼굴 이미지에 대한 표현방법으로 LLE (Locally Linear Embedding) 알고리즘을 사용한다. LLE 알고리즘은 얼굴 이미지들 사이의 관계를 유지하면서 저차원의 특징 공간으로 투사된 매니폴드를 더욱 부드럽고 연속적으로 만들어준다. 그 다음, 특징공간에서 특정한 포즈나 표정 파라미터에 해당하는 포인트를 추정하기 위해 snake 모델을 적용한다. 마지막으로, 추정된 특징 값의 주변에 있는 여러 장의 얼굴 이미지들의 가중치 평균을 구해 합성된 결과이미지를 만든다 실험결과를 통해 제안된 방법을 이용하면 겹침 현상이 적고 포즈나 표정에 대한 파라미터의 변화와 일치하는 이미지를 합성한다는 것을 보인다.
