컴퓨터그래픽스를 이용한 사실적인 3D 인물 일러스트레이션의 표현 (Realistic 3-dimensional using computer graphics Expression of Human illustrations)

  • 사람의 얼굴은 정체성의 시각적 상징이다. 사람마다 각기 다른 얼굴 모습은 타인과 구별할 수 있도록 하는 중요한 역할을 하면서 개인의 정체성과 직결된다. 역사적으로 볼 때 얼굴에 대한 시대적 인식의 변화와 함께 표현매체와 커뮤니케이션매체가 다양해지고 발전함에 따라 얼굴을 표현하는 것에도 많은 변화가 있었다. 그러나 지금처럼 얼굴에 대한 사람들의 관심과 주목이 컸던 적이 없었다. 기술적으로는 컴퓨터그래픽스의 등장으로 얼굴표현의 새로운 전기를 맞이하게 되었다. 특히 시각 이미지들이 디지털형태로 제작, 저장, 전송할 수 있게 되어 시간적, 공간적제약이 없어지면서 시각이미지정보는 커뮤니케이션에서 그 비중이 전보다 더 커지고 있다. 그 중에서 디지털로 만들어진 얼굴 이미지는 그 활용도가 점차 확대되고 있다. 이에 따라 컴퓨터그래픽스를 이용한 얼굴의 3d (3-dimensional) 표현은 수년전부터 얼굴 각 부분의 형태와 텍스추어 맵 등 각 요소들을 필요할 때 마치 퍼즐 조각처럼 조립해서 전문적인 기술이 없이도 손쉽게 표현할 수 있게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 3d 얼굴표현의 제작단계별 내용을 연구하고 그 결과를 바탕으로 케이스 스터디에서 시각화함으로써 3d 전문가가 아닌 일반 시각디자이너들이 3d 형태의 얼굴을 효과적으로 표현하는 방법을 연구한다.

  • 현대 산업사회의 급속적인 발달로 인한 경제적, 물질적 풍요로움은 다양한 문화산업의 발달은 물론, 뷰티산업의 발전을 가져다주었다. 이처럼 뷰티산업은 TV, 광고, 패션잡지, 영화 등의 대중매체의 성장과 더불어 새로운 뷰티 트렌드를 빠르게 대중에게 확대, 형성해 가고 있다. 메이크업 또한 뷰티 트렌드와 함께 지속적으로 변화하고 다양한 표현기법의 활용으로 그 예술적 영역이 더욱 확대되고 있다. 이는 곧 메이크업 일러스트레이션에도 영향을 주어 그 역할이 점차 강조되어 현대 문화의 상황 속에서 대중과의 커뮤니케이션이라는 해석이 확대되면서 새로운 예술의 개념으로 인식되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 뷰티 산업과 대중간의 '유행정보 교환'이라는 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있는 메이크업 일러스트레이션의 다양한 이미지 표현 방법을 분석하여 예술적 가치를 높이고자 하였다. 또한 컴퓨터 그래픽을 활용한 메이크업 일러스트레이션을 제작하여 앞으로의 창작, 연구 활동에 유용한 자료가 되기를 기대한다.

티셔츠 디자인에 대한 분석 (An Analysis on T-shirts Design)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze characteristics of effective expression on T-shirts pattern by peirce's semiotic theory. The methods of this study was to analyze 721 T-shirts patterns in designer's collection from 2000 to 2004. The results of this study were as follows: First of all, iconic expression showed high frequency after 2000. Characteristics of effective expression were as follows: In geometric expression, repetition was presented as a symbolic sign by regular proportion and rule of dot, line, plane, irregularity, mixture of irregular dot, line, plane. Mixed expression was presented as a iconic and symbolic sign by collage, mixture of dot, line, plane, icon and letter. In iconic expression, simplification of iconic sigrl was presented as a iconic sign by simplification of form, color, texture, realistic expression using digital as a iconic sign, and symbolic face, body as a symbolic sign. Pop art's expression was presented as a iconic sign by a cartoon and commercial character and illusion was presented as a iconic sign. In letter's expression, brand logo was presented as a symbolic sign by transformation of letter's design, a symbolic sign of numeral by transformation of size, thickness, form, color. Symbolic message phrase was presented by slogan, fashion trend, brand image, descriptive indication message as a index sign by using icon or singleness. In conclusion, characteristics of effective expression on T-shirts pattern will present not only the theoretical foundation to raise the value added, but also the information about beauty sense of times, political and social value.

Study on Flow and Symbolism of Elvis Aaron Presley Fashion

  • Cultural sensation by appearance of Elvis Aaron Presley is thought to have been greatly influenced by spread of popular culture beginning to form with the development of mess media in USA that was changed rapidly after the war, changing aspect of popular music in U.S.A through the media development and teenager culture of USA that has rapidly emerged. Elvis intended to change into 'music to be seen' deviating from 'music to be simply listened to' with expressing the conversion of sexual consciousness, defiance to older generation and a sense of value on wealth, and the like, and also suggested a new culture and style to the young people at that time. Flow of Elvis's fashion may be categorized into the classifications such as the fashion in the period. First, Formative period(before 1954) distinguished by pimp look and sideburns with tough image and wild clothes. Second, Establishment period(1954-57) may be categorized into the hot rockabilly style which showed a glittering fashion by brilliant and colorful costumes, the cool rockabilly style which changed him to a fashionable star of modem image(1958-60). Third, re-heyday(after 1968) where a brilliant and bold decoration was displayed. In Elvis fashion, the masculine sensualism, defiance to main value and expression of luxury and consuming culture, etc. are included as a unique aesthetic consciousness. 'Expression of masculine sensualism' represented the sensualism through sexual objectification of men's body by men's sexual ostentation which was prohibited. 'Defiance to main value' means that attempts of non-mainstream image for social class are expressed with an exercise of power by young people through the public. Although the Elvis look has fanned an anti-culture, it was expressed and accepted as having a normally capitalistic appearance. In addition, it being thought of as the standard, symbolizing a success and a wealth through the presentation of image which accepted this material benefit, we may classify this into 'expression of luxury and consuming culture'.

타나카 잇코(Tanaka Ikko) 산케이칸세이노(산경관세능(産經觀世能)) 포스터의 인상과 표현경향에 관한 연구 (A study on the impression and expression tendency of the sankei kanseino poster by Ikko Tanaka)

  • 본 연구는 타나카 잇코(Tanaka Ikko)씨의 작품을 통해 일반적으로 우리가 알고 있는 그의 작품 경향이 실제로 인상평가를 통해서 나타난 결과와 그로 인한 표현경향을 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이번에 평가 대상으로 선정한 포스터는 일본의 그래픽 디자이너 타나카 잇코(Tanaka Ikko)씨의 작품중 산케이신문사 주최의 칸세이노(관세능(觀世能)) 포스터 시리즈 중 9점을 선정했다. 샘플의 선정 이유는 지극히 구조적인 성격이 강하며 비교적 단순한 구조로 이루어져 있다고 판단했기 때문이다. 인자분석을 실시한 결과 3개의 인자로 일반적으로 타나카 잇코(Tanaka Ikko)씨의 포스터 작품을 설명할 수 있는 대표적인 인자로 사용가능한 결과를 얻었다. 군집분석에서 인상이 나뉜 3그룹별 포스터의 표현경향을 고찰해 보면 먼저 제1그룹의 경우는 전통적 소재를 활용하여 동양적 이미지가 강하다. 제2그룹의 경우는 기하학적 도형을 심플하게 배치하여 모던한 이미지가 강하다. 제3그룹의 경우는 전통적 소재를 모던한 이미지로 표현했다. 이상의 결과를 통해 타나카 잇코씨(Tanaka Ikko)의 작품 경향은 $\ulcorner$일본의 전통적 이미지를 현대적으로 발전시켰다$\lrcorner$ 고 요약할 수 있다.

한국 독립운동가의 상징적 이미지를 반영한 컴퓨터 기계자수 가방디자인 개발 (The Development of Bag Design using Computer Mechanic Embroidery on the Symbolic Image of Korean Independence Activist)

  • This study aims to develop a mechanic embroidery bag design that reflects the symbolic image of Korean independence activists who sacrificed for the country so that today's Korea can exist. As a research method, the theoretical consideration and image collection of independence activists were conducted through a literature review and visits to the memorial halls of six independence activists. The bag design was developed using mechanic embroidery textile of 12 motifs manufactured in previous studies through the computer mechanic embroidery sewing machine, and the types were limited to totes, Boston, clutches, baskets, shoppers, hover bags, and hat boxes. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was found that the dense light and shade and delicate color expression of each motif design were the most important and achieved through the proper selection and utilization of embroidery yarn according to the mechanic embroidery expression technique for developing in-depth textile materials. Second, unlike in the past, when machine embroidery was difficult to handle, the spread of embroidery CAD and computer machine embroidery sewing machines made it easier for individuals to develop embroidery products. Third, this study once again emphasized the symbolism of Korean independence activists who sacrificed for the nation to exist at a time when it needs to be recognized due to the lack of fashion and diversity in cultural products containing historical and cultural meaning and values of the country. This study was able to develop computer machine embroidery textiles and various bag designs using various mechanic embroidery expression techniques that can highlight the symbolic image of each motif.

  • 지상파TV를 중심으로 꾸준히 제작, 성장해온 국내 유아동 애니메이션은 오락적 가치에 교육적 가치를 더함으로서, 국내 애니메이션 산업의 핵심 콘텐츠로서 자리를 잡았다고 할 수 있으며, 특히 캐릭터는 유아동 애니메이션의 핵심적 시각요소로서 다양한 역할을 담당하고 있다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 이처럼 중요한 역할을 하는 캐릭터의 표현소재에 대한 분석연구이다. 이를 위해 캐릭터에 적용된 표현소재의 세부유형을 분류할 수 있는 기준툴을 확립하여, 현재 EBS에서 방영되고 있는 애니메이션 작품들의 캐릭터들을 선정, 이를 기준툴에 적용하고 그 결과를 분석하는 일련의 과정을 통하여, 표현소재에 따른 캐릭터 융합유형의 현황 파악과 함께, 유아동을 대상으로 하는 캐릭터 제작 시, 활용할 수 있는 또 다른 디자인 창작지표를 제시하는 것에 연구의 목적과 의의가 있다.

패션일러스트레이션에서의 포토몽타주 표현방법과 효과 (A Photomontage Expression and an Effect in Fashion Illustration)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a photomontage expression in order to express a characteristic personality and creativity of artists of effectively in fashion illustration. The results of this study were as follows : 1) Because of a fashion and a human body were the major subjects in fashion illustration, human body transformation and composition between a human body and heterogeneous objects by photomontage appeared with a lot of works. 2) Photomontage appeared with a parody in a truth recurrence differ from a visual art, a parody seemed to be a humor with recurrence image of the original and it appeared with the general public image and it is effective in message delivery. 3) It was a stopped screen. but photomontage was expressed through overlapping and reiteration was characteristic, and it appeared with movement. a direction, a speed and rhythm effectively. 4) One screen of general chapter was only to express limited meaning, but after screen of a lot of chapter, it was able to express that was borrowed and reconstructive with a lot of contents or different contents are more than before. 5) It is changed, and composited images have a multiple point of time, and it extend a space-time limit, visual limit and an expression enabled a multidimensional space-time. Moreover, photomontage neglects unique sincerity and fact of a photo by development and utilization of computer graphic. and it can get a screen effect to spread in the virtual world as abstraction and hyper-reality. Therefore, if various photomontage expression apply to fashion illustration works, it can overcome a limit of a visual expression. and it is able to become an important way for expanding a filed of expression and enhancement of a practical function gradually in fashion illustration

사용자 참여설계를 통한 교실공간계획에 관한 연구 - 인천광역시 학교공간 혁신사업 사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Classroom Space Planning through User Participation Design - Focusing on the case of School Space Innovation Project in Incheon -)

  • This study is aimed at presenting an efficient management plan of user participatory design in a situation where the School Space Innovation Project is in progress. 2 schools that were the targets of the Incheon School Space Innovation Project in 2019 were selected for this, and features such as the physical environment of that classroom, classroom usage plan, and the stepwise outcome of the user participatory design workshop were contemplated. Especially the workshop outcome was compared and analyzed quantitatively, focusing on the actual master plan and zoning plan, in order to identify the feature that opinions of various users are reflected on the actual plan. As a result, the following conclusion could be reached. Firstly, it was confirmed that the expression about the user preferential space influences the classroom usage plan of that classroom. Vague expressions about the whole space held a large majority of the objects for the linguistic expression of the preferential space. The expression mode as limited as the expression of the actions that users want to carry out in the space. On the other hand, when the usage purpose of the classroom was definite, it was confirmed that the demand for furniture·facility is relatively high. Secondly, according to the analysis of zoning for each function, it seems that the stereotype, which is arranged on the basis of the chalkboard at the front of existing classrooms, was applied in the case of the learning zone. However, in cases of other functions, a tendency was identified that the user carries out an image description that reflects the physical features of the space. Sufficient preparation will need to precede for the efficient management of the user participatory design workshop and the acceptance of various opinions. It seems that especially the classroom usage plan, number of workshops, consultation of each step, and the education about the space expression mode affect the master plan.

공간이미지와 감성어휘에 따른 마감재 표현방법 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on Expressive Methods of Finishing Materials for Space Image and Emotional Vocabulary)

  • The purpose of this study is to focus on living rooms that are preferred as a place for changing space image to the maximum and to find a method how finishing materials are expressed by selecting space with mix & match of many images. The study methods are as follows. First, understand the expressive trend of space images through the precedent studies and magazines, and examine its relationship with finishing materials. Second, select space images based on the contents understood earlier and extract adjective words that represent each space image through an expert survey. Third, find the cases where space images are expressed based on the extracted words and analyze expression methods of finishing materials. The results of the study are as follows. First, it was confirmed that recent space images are actively expressed through finishing materials. Second, space images selected through data related to the trend were classified as modern+natural, modern+traditional, modern+retro, classic+natural, classic+humor, and futurism+natural and 4 adjective words for each space image were extracted. Third, expressive elements of finishing materials were extracted as 'material'. 'texture', 'color', and 'pattern' through the precedent studies. Fourth, expressive methods of finishing materials for each space image could be suggested by analyzing the examples that show mix & match based on the contents extracted earlier. Lastly, it is expected to find various methods that lead space image into finishing materials by evaluating responses and changes in visual perception of residents according to expression of finishing materials based on this study.
