농촌전통 테마마을의 경관구성요소에 대한 도시주민의 이미지평가 (Evaluation of the City Residents' Images on the Landscape Elements of the Rural Traditional Theme Village)

  • This study analyzes the images of city residents on the landscape elements of the rural theme villages. The results of analysis bring the following conclusions. 1) Important factor of rural landscape with worth preserving is natural landscape such as dense forests, trees and creek. 2) Natural landscape such as forests and trees is evaluated high in image-assessment as well. However, it is evaluated low in the image of "Diversity", therefore, various species of trees need to be preserved. 3) In the future, people who spent their life only in the city would be the main stream of Green-tourism, and their structure of image-assessment needs to be reorganized.

  • This study analyzes the behaviors and images of city residents on the six Gyeongsangbuk-do rural theme villages. The results of analysis bring the following conclusions. 1) Behaviors of city residents are related with the images on rural villages. In addition, the better the image is, the higher their behaviors' needs. 2) Behaviors' needs become higher on the village as the image on 'Scale type' becomes better. 3) Especially, in case of Gimcheon and Gyeongju, we find a strong relationship between the images of 'Scale type' and 'Magnificent type' and behaviors; these villages should raise the scale and standard of villages by certain point.

파주출판문화정보산업단지의 이용후평가 (A Study on the Post Occupancy Evaluation of PAJU Book City)

  • PAJU Book City Plan was designed to integrate two concepts of "Publishing Productive City" and "Ecological City" with the goal of "bringing of human being and nature together". This research on the post occupancy evaluation on PAJU Book City has two aims; One is to define how people, mainly working there rather than living, recognize the city and the other is to identify the problems resulted from the first phase of planning process and to suggest feasible solutions at the same time. It would be desirable that the outcome of this research should be used as data sources to improve the second phase of the plan. The evaluation criteria were created by the pre-survey on the basis of previous researches and "Pa Ju publishing city architectural design guide book (1999)". With those criteria, on-site questionnaire was conducted among people who work in PAJU Book City and stratified sampling was used for the proper sampling. The result is as follows; the visual-aesthetic criteria had positive response, which also closely related to a city satisfaction. Considering this result, construction type, circumferential environment of the building and a place of building form were found appropriate. The evaluation on the physical-ecological criteria was relatively low. Respondents were unsatisfied with green space and required better ecological waterway and more roadside tree. As green space was given a lot of weight in satisfaction survey, more green urban areas should be planned in the next phase. The evaluation on the social-behavior criteria got the lowest score. Particularly, the accessibility and convenient facilities were remarkably low. Nonetheless, the self-conceit about PAJU Book City was highly evaluated and played a crucial role in a city satisfaction. In order to achieve the goal, physical beauty, characteristics as a publication city as well as an ecologically sustainable city should be main agenda in the second phase of Paju Book City Plan. Consequently, it is important to strike a balance between the external environment and image media in order that PAJU Book City should be re-born as a culture city.

  • In Korea, most of the historic city became a deteriorated area with low-rise settlement. It is revaluated as a s great potential in spite of slum clearance and redevelopment for a long while after 1970s. A great achievement for low rise multi family housing, in spite of these social change, is not easy to find the cases and social commonness. In the view points, this article deals a ideal model in historic areas, and the model should be get the understanding from the people, because acceptance from people is the beginning for making historic housing areas. The facade model for evaluation prepared as three types, and responses for the models processed by AHP(Analysis Hierarchy Process).

텍스트마이닝 기반의 효율적인 장소 브랜드 이미지 강도 측정 방법 (An Efficient Estimation of Place Brand Image Power Based on Text Mining Technology)

  • 장소 브랜딩은 특정 장소에 대한 의미 부여를 통해 장소성의 정체성 및 공동가치를 생성하며 가치 창출을 하는데 중요한 활동이며, 장소 브랜드에 대한 이미지 파악을 통해 이루어진다. 이에 마케팅, 건축학, 도시건설학 등 여러 분야에서는 인상적인 장소 브랜드의 이미지를 구축하기 위하여 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 하지만 설문조사를 포함한 대면조사 방법은 대부분 주관적인 작업이며 측정에 많은 인력 또는 고도의 전문 인력이 소요되어 고비용을 발생시키므로 보다 객관적이면서도 비용효과적인 브랜드 이미지 조사 방법이 필요하다. 이에 본 논문은 텍스트마이닝을 통하여 장소 브랜드의 이미지 강도를 객관적이고 저비용으로 얻는 방법을 찾는 것을 목적으로 한다. 제안하는 방법은 장소 브랜드 이미지를 구성하고 있는 요인과 그 키워드들을 관련 웹문서에서 추출하며, 추출된 정보를 통해 특정 장소의 브랜드 이미지 강도를 측정하는 방법이다. 성능은 안홀트 방법에서 평가에 사용하는 전세계 50개 도시 이미지 인덱스 순위와의 일치도로 검증하였다. 성능 비교를 위해 임의로 순위를 매기는 방법, 안홀트의 설문방식대로 일반인이 평가하는 방법, 본 논문의 방법을 사용하되 안홀트의 방법으로 학습한 것으로 유의한 것으로 추정되는 평가 항목만을 반영하는 방법과 비교하였다. 그 결과 제안된 방법론은 정확성, 비용효율성, 적시성, 확장성, 그리고 신뢰성 측면에서 우수함을 보일 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제안한 방법론은 안홀트 방식에 상호 보완적으로 사용될 수 있을 것이다. 향후에는 장소 브랜드 이미지를 형성하는 속성 별로 등장횟수를 계산 한 후에 장소 브랜드에 대한 태도, 연상, 그리고 브랜드 자산과의 인과관계를 자동으로 파악할 수 있는 부분까지 구현하고 실증적 실험을 할 예정이다.

  • Large-scaled apartment housing complex at outskirts of downtown which has direct influence on urban view concentrated on improving the space outside the complex like spatial composition of individual plan design, but neglected the contribution of urban view. However, as people's orientation toward urban areas was changed to quality from quantity, concerns on urban view have been gradually increased and planning of apartment housing has been extended to complex with view contributing to urban people as a factor composing the city in resident centered spatial composition. This study is therefore to examine the characteristics of view components of 13 apartment housing complexes at Sangmu District in Gwangju Metropolitan City and their influences on evaluating view image.

장소를 인식하는 이미지 평가항목에 대한 중요도 분석 (Importance Analysis of Image Evaluation Items that Recognize Places)

  • Purpose: This place, which is currently becoming an issue due to historical preservation and landscape protection, is also a place where urban residents around Taereung actually visit often. Thus, this study aims to analyze the importance of the evaluating factors in creating a relatable image of the city. Methods: Evaluation items were selected by reviewing related books and research literatures and reassessing the reviewed items through an expert group interview (FGI). For the selected evaluation items, the relative importance of the evaluation items for the place image was analyzed by applying the hierarchical analysis technique (AHP) to each user group. Result: A place becomes a memory in people's experiences and time, and it has the image and identity of the region where those experiences and memories are found again as a space called "place". The method of analyzing the importance of evaluation items between place images used in this study quantified the factors recognized as abstract images and identified the degree of influence between elements, but has limitation in that it targeted specific places. However, the analysis method on the place image recognition suggests the use of itemized variables for characteristics between place images, so future research on the identity of other place images can be conducted together. Also, the evaluation method of the image that recognizes the place has an objective meaning in that it can measure the image of the place quantitatively. In the future, it can be applied in creating an image forming factor or urban identity for place recognition in many regions

  • 도시의 발전정책에 대한 주민의 인식과 평가태도는 정책의 성공여부에 커다란 영향을 미치기 때문에 지역정책의 수립에 중요한 변수로 작용한다. 본 연구는 역사.문화적으로 전남 동부지역의 중심지로 성장해 왔고, 오늘날에는 광양만권의 중심도시로 기능하고 있는 순천시를 사례로 도시발전정책에 대한 지역주민의 인식태도를 고찰한 것이다. 도시발전정책에 대한 시민들의 인식태도를 파악하기 위하여 정주환경과 삶의 질, 도시발전정책의 문제점, 그리고 장기적인 방향에 대한 내용을 중심으로 설문지 조사법을 이용하여 자료를 수집.분석하였다. 순천시민들은 순천시의 삶의 질에 대해 비교적 만족하고 있고, 지역경제의 활성화와 문화.여가시설을 비롯한 생활편익시설의 확충에 많은 관심을 가지고 있다. 순천시 도시발전의 미래상에 대해서는 긍정적으로 인식하고 있으나 장차 교육과 문화기능의 강화를 중점을 두고 시정을 추진해야 한다고 평가하였다. 따라서 순천시가 광양만권에서 중심도시로 기능하기 위해서는 주민의 요구를 수렴한 새로운 유형의 도시발전정책의 수립과 시행이 필요한 것으로 밝혀졌다.

공공예술의 기본 특성에 따른 이용자 만족도 영향요인 연구-공항 공공예술을 중심으로 (Research on The Influencing Factors of User Satisfaction Based on Basic Characteristics of Public Art-A Case Study of Airport Public Art)

  • With the sustainable development and transformation of the city, public art as a business card of the famous city of culture has become a hot topic of research. The intervention of public art in public space not only brings users a sense of space experience, but also becomes a unique carrier of urban and rural image making. Although there is much research on the classification, aesthetics and function of public art, there is few quantitative research on user satisfaction. This paper takes the basic features of airport public art as a research object and the basic features of airport public art as the theoretical basis to study the impact of the basic characteristics of airport public art on user satisfaction. Research methods were based on questionnaire data of 247 people, in which models and hypotheses were tested using SPSS 21.0 software, based on the induction and extraction of nine influential factors in the basic characteristics of public art. The study found that public interpretation, media patterns, color perception, modeling form, place perception, city image and memory have significant positive effects on user satisfaction. The sharedness of public art, cognition and communication in public culture and spatial relations do not affect satisfaction. Conclusion, inspiration and prospect provide suggestions for designers and reference data and theoretical support for public art evaluation.

Investigation of Necessary Items for Garden Events to Revitalize Urban Communities

  • This study is based on the premise that a garden space is a place that not only requires physical labor but also encourages conversation in the gardening group. We suggest the use of urban gardens as a place to revitalize local communities by promoting people to participate in various event programs. Through the theoretical study, we set the requirements that can be applied to "urban garden events". We developed measurement items and scales to be used as variables of each construction concept. Our survey was conducted on adults aged 19 and above who visited the 8th Korean Urban Agriculture Expo. Out of total 310 copies of the distributed questionnaire, only 298 effective samples were used in the empirical analysis. We can assume that people want to revitalize local communities based on the fact that 71 (23.8%) participants said they thought the purpose of the event is to achieve unity among residents. Throughout analysis, 15 of the necessary items were confirmed and classified into two factors: image of event (Factor 1) and evaluation item (Factor 2). As a result of verifying the relationship between educational level for Factor 1, age was significant in five items and education level was significant in six items. For Factor 2, four items were effective in relation to education level, while significant results were not found in relation to age. These results are expected to be significant if the intellectual curiosity of the residents is satisfied and the demand base of the urban garden events according to the characteristics of city people is expanded. Based on this study, it is necessary to conduct research on the use of urban gardens as an event with social functions as well as various programs that can be carried out in gardens to build and revitalize the community.
