강 거더교의 수직보강재 응답을 이용한 주행차량의 특성 추정 (Identification of Running Vehicle Properties by Vertical Stiffener Response of Steel Girder Bridge)

  • The BWIM(Bridge Weigh-In-Motion) is a technology to identify vehicle properties, such as weight, speed, axle spacing and running lane, passing over a bridge by using dynamic response of bridge member. Such information will be used for assessing durability and establishing a maintenance strategy of roadway structures. In this paper, as a first step for developing BWIM system, analytical and experimental studies were conducted in order to verify whether the response of vertical stiffener in steel girder bridge can be used to identify vehicle properties running on the bridge. It was known from this study that such vehicle information could be estimated reasonably by using strain time history curve of a vertical stiffener due to running vehicles. It is because the effect of each axle-load of vehicle appears definitely in the curve. However, as the magnitude of strain of vertical stiffener is effected by running pattern of vehicles, further study is necessary to reduce error when estimating vehicle weight.

  • If water flows through a narrow passage into a medium that keeps the equilibrium of temperature, it causes small temperature difference and makes a temperature anomaly. The seepage or leakage often observed at old dams is a representative example of bringing about a temperature anomaly. Therefore, temperature measurements have been regarded as one of excellent methods that can detect the situation of seepage or leakage. However, because existing temperature measurement methods are based on a single sensor, the application of the method to the whole structure is nearly not possible in technical and economical phases. This paper introduces a temperature monitoring system using a thermal sensor cable that is comprised of addressable thermal sensors connected in parallel at many positions within a single cable. Through various laboratory and field experiments, it has been proved that the temperature monitoring technique can give an useful information about permeability of a medium or connectivity of fractures which have been regarded as difficult problems.

Revisiting Prediction Tools for Daylight Adequacy and Its Potential Improvement

  • Purpose: This study questioned the efficiency of daylight factor as a daylight adequacy and investigated a method of how to complement its weakness by considering a direct sunlight component under a clear sky condition. Method: The Snowdon visitor centre cafe was chosen as a case study building and various techniques such as BRE formula, BRE sky protractor, Pilkington dot diagram and mock-upscale model under the artificial sky simulator were used to analyse and compare daylight factor values. An analysis of direct sunlight component under the clear sky condition was carried out by Climate Consultant 5.5, sun path diagram, and the artificial sky simulator. Result: The result of daylight factor analysis differed by the adopted techniques and it was also contradictory to the results on a direct sunlight penetration. The result not only showed the limitation of daylight factor as a metric but also suggested an improvement by combining it with direct sunlight analysis. The techniques used in this study had a merit of being applied in the early design stage and thus be beneficial to many design professions in order for early daylight performance analysis.

전면벽체의 강성이 Soil Nailing 시스템의 전체안정성에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Facing Stiffness on Global Stability. of Soil Nailing Systems)

  • In Korea, there are recently many attempts to expand a temporary soil nailing system into a permanent soil nailing system since the first construction in 1993. In the downtown area, it is important that the relaxation of the ground is minimized in the ground excavation works. Due to these problems, soil nailing systems are often used the flexible facing such as shotcrete rather than the rigid facing such as SCW, CIP, and jet grout types in Korea. The soil nailing systems with rigid facings are used greatly however it is insufficient researches for design and analysis of soil nailing systems with rigid facings. In this study, various laboratory model tests are carried out to examining the influence the rigidity of facings on the global safety of soil nailing system, failure loads, displacement behaviour, axial force acting on the nails, and distribution of earth pressure. Also, the parametric studies are carried out for the typical section of soil nailed walls according to thickness of concrete facings and internal friction angle of soil using the numerical technique as shear strength reduction technique.

BWIM방법을 이용한 차량 정보 추정시 정밀도 향상 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Accuracy Improvement for Estimation of Vehicle Information Using BWIM Methodology)

  • Dynamic strain history curve measured in the field is influenced by various factors such as vehicle type, speed, noise, temperature and running location etc.. Because such curve is used for vehicle weight estimation methodology suggested by Moses, exact strain history curve is the most important thing for exact estimation of vehicle weight. In this paper, effect of such factors mentioned above is investigated on the measured strain history curves, and results of weight estimation of vehicles are discussed quantitatively. From this study, it was known that temperature effect contained in the strain history curve measured for long time in-site gives the biggest effect on result of weight estimation and it can be removed by using the mode value. Furthermore, gross vehicle weight can be estimated within 5% error corresponding to A class of the European classification if effects of temperature and noise are removed and vehicle properties such as speed, axle arrangement and running location are considered properly.

기계업종 중소기업의 생산성향상을 위한 외적지원효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of External Support for Productivity Improvement of SMEs in Machinery Industry)

  • It is also difficult for SMEs to pursue their own innovation activities due to their limited resources and capabilities. There are various government support policies for small and medium enterprises to enhance the competitiveness of the nation by improving sustainability management based on productivity improvement of SMEs. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that are important for the external support by the government and the related organizations in the machinery industry participating in the industrial innovation movement and identify the appropriate measures within and outside the organization. The results of this study are as follows: First, the higher the innovation commitment quality of the SMEs in the machinery industry, the more positive the non - financial performance. Second, the higher the quality of support from the headquarter, which has comprehensive responsibility for external support, the more positive the non - financial performance of participating companies. Third, it was concluded that the role quality of the consultant did not significantly affect the non - financial performance of participating companies in the machinery industry. Fourth, as the financial performance of the firm is better, the financial performance is also positively improved.

Efficiency assessment of L-profiles and pipe fore-poling pre-support systems in difficult geological conditions: a case study

  • Tunneling is one of the challenging tasks in civil engineering because it involves a variety of decision making and engineering judgment based on knowledge and experience. One of the challenges is to construct tunnels in risky areas under shallow overburden. In order to prevent the collapse of ceilings and walls of a large tunnels, in such conditions, either a sequential excavation method (SEM) or ground reinforcing method, or a combination of both, can be utilized. This research deals with the numerical modeling of L-profiles and pipe fore-poling pre-support systems in the adit tunnel in northwestern Iran. The first part of the adit tunnel has been drilled in alluvial material with very weak geotechnical parameters. Despite applying an SEM in constructing this tunnel, analyzing the results of numerical modeling done using FLAC3D, as well as observations during drilling, indicate the tunnel instability. To improve operational safety and to prevent collapse, pre-support systems, including pipe fore-poling and L-profiles were designed and implemented. The results of the numerical modeling coupled with monitoring during operation, as well as the results of instrumentation, indicate the efficacy of both these methods in tunnel collapse prevention. Moreover, the results of modeling using FLAC3D and SECTION BUILDER suggest a double angle with equal legs ($2L100{\times}100{\times}10mm$) in both box profile and tee array as an alternative section to pipe fore-poling system while neither $L80{\times}80{\times}8mm$ nor $2L80{\times}80{\times}8mm$ can sustain the axial and shear stresses exerted on pipe fore-poling system.

온라인수출지원 사업에서 컨설턴트의 역량과 서비스품질이 사업성과에 미치는 영향 (A study on the effect of consultants' competency and service quality on performance in Untact online export support business)

  • 산업 환경의 급격한 변화는 수출중소기업에게 위기와 기회를 제공하고 있다. 본 연구는 중소기업의 역할변화에 대응한 해외마케팅지원 사업, 특히 온라인마케팅 지원의 효과적인 수행요인 중 컨설팅관련 사항을 중심으로 연구하였다. 온라인 수출지원 사업 참여기업에 대한 설문조사를 기반으로 진행한연구결과, 컨설턴트의 역량과서비스품질이 모두 지원사업의 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치고 지원사업의 만족도가 기업성과에 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 만족도는 일부 유의한 매개효과를 나타냈다. 변화하는 수출환경하에서 지원사업의 성과달성을 위해서는 컨설턴트의 역량과 서비스품질이 함께 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구는 수출지원사업의 개선에 필요한 실체적 요인의 판단기준을 제시하고 있고 추후 요인별로 역량강화 방안에 대한 추가연구가 함께 이루어져야할 것이다.

공벽 유지장치를 이용한 미고결 충적층의 수리특성 평가 (Using a Borehole Stability Device for Hydraulic Testing in Unconsolidated Alluvium)

  • 충적 대수층의 수리지질특성 시험을 위한 충적층 공벽 유지장치를 개발하여 변수위법 투수시험(Falling Head Test) 및 순간 충격시험(Slug Test)을 수행하였다. 모래, 자갈을 비롯한 실트층이 주를 이루는 국내 충적층 수리시험은 시험구간의 공벽유지와 시험 중 토사층의 공벽붕괴가 지속적으로 발생하여 투수시험과 순간충격시험 등의 수리시험 수행에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 개공율이 안정적인 필터가 장착된 공벽 유지장치를 시험공에 삽입하여 시험구간 공벽붕괴를 최소화하고 시험시 정확한 단위면적의 산출로 토사층에서의 수리시험 신뢰성을 증대하고자 하였다. 연구결과 기존의 변수위법 투수시험에 의한 투수계수는 8.82 × 10−5m/sec로 산출되었으며, 동일한 지층, 심도, 시간적인 조건에서 상기 공벽 유지장치 설치 후 투수시험 결과는 4.00 × 10−4m/sec로 나타나 최대 4.5배 가량의 투수계수 증가현상을 보인다. 이는 시추굴진 중 발생된 세립질의 슬라임이 투수시험 시 시험구간에 피복 또는 충전되어 토사층의 투수성을 저하시키고 시험구간 형성과정에서 최초 원기둥 형태의 시험공벽이 점진적인 붕괴로 인해 토사로 충전되고 시험구간 면적감소에 기인한 현상으로 판단된다. 본 연구는 미고결 충적층의 공벽 유지장치를 현장에 적용하여 시험구간 굴진 시 발생되는 점착력이 낮은 모래, 자갈층의 공벽붕괴에 따른 시험면적 변화가 투수성에 미치는 영향을 평가한 연구로써, 충적 대수층 수리특성 평가의 신뢰성 및 적용성 개선을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

컨설턴트의 역량이 서비스 품질을 통해 조직성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 조직 창의성과 혁신성 중심으로 (A study on the Effect of consultants' competency on Organizational performance through service quality: focusing on organizational creativity and innovation)

  • 본 연구는 경영 컨설턴트의 역량(개인능력, 전문성)과 컨설팅 서비스 품질(신뢰성, 확신성)이 조직의 창의성과 혁신성에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 연구대상은 컨설팅을 받은 경험이 있는 기업을 대상으로 실시하였으며, 조사한 62개 기업( 80명)의 표본자료를 SPSS 25.0와 Smart PLS 2.0을 활용, 통계를 바탕으로 처리하여 빈도 분석과 신뢰성, 타당성 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 컨설턴트 역량의 개인 능력과 전문성은 컨설팅 서비스 품질의 신뢰성과 확신성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.001). 둘째, 컨설팅 서비스 품질의 신뢰성과 확신성 또한 조직성과 부분의 창의성과 혁신성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것이 검증되었다(p<0.001, p<0.05). 단, 서비스 품질의 신뢰성은 조직성과 부분의 창의성에 미치는 영향을 미미한 것 나타났다. 셋째, 기업의 조직성과 부분에서 조직의 창의성은 조직의 혁신성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있어(p<0.001) 궁극적으로는 조직의 창의성과 혁신성은 기업의 경영성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다고 할 수 있다. 종합하면, 경영 컨설팅의 경우 컨설턴트의 역량 및 제공되는 서비스의 품질에 따라 기업의 조직내 창의성과 혁신성에 긍정적인 영향을 주고 결과적으로는 기업의 경영성과 향상에 기여하기 때문에 컨설팅 현장에서 활동하고 있는 컨설턴트는 개인의 능력 및 전문성, 제공되는 서비스 품질 향상을 위해 노력하고, 기업의 조직내 창의성과 혁신성이 내재될 수 있도록 장기적이고 지속적인 전략을 구축하여 기업의 경영성과를 극대화할 수 있도록 하여야 한다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 바탕으로 이론적, 실무적 시사점을 제공하여 중소기업 컨설팅의 품질을 높이고 4차 산업혁명 시대에 혁신이 요구되는 중소기업들의 성장에 기여하고자 한다.
