It was analyzed that playfulness had the greatest positive effect, followed by informativity, empathy, and reliability. Among the characteristics of online collaboration tools, it was found that the reliability and security of system quality and informativity of content quality had an effect on the effort expectancy. It was analyzed that informativity has the greatest influence, followed by security and reliability. Conclusion: This study is meaningful in that it examines the perspectives of users and learners, who can be said to be the end customers of online collaboration tools. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that not only platform operators that provide online collaborative tools, but also providers that use online collaboration tools will have a significant impact on the development of edutech and infrastructure in the educational environment.
The advent of Web2.0 has believed to be the solution against many barriers in information sharing, especially wiki. Information sharing and collaboration are realized voluntarily and unselfishly with wiki. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the benefits and challenges of using wiki as a project management method in an IT/IS project. Wiki-based project management could provide project managers and members with expert knowledge collaboration for better project results. In the research model, we used TMS(Transactive Memory System) theory to define the relation of collaboration and performance of project members. Based on a survey among project members, the interactions between wiki characteristics and performance are examined in an IS project environment. Using Smart PLS 2.0, the data was analyzed to define the interactions by the structural equation modeling. From the empirical data, the mediated effect of expert knowledge collaboration is supported. We also derive the implications of wiki-based method. It is expected to bring new possibilities of Project management performance.
Introduction of ICE(Integrated Collaboration Environment) has a great effect on corporate performance. In particular, it is expected that information sharing and collaboration among transaction partners will be an important factor which mediates ICE and its performance. Under such a background, this research intends to identify the influence of ICE by manufacturing industry on corporate performance through role of the parameter of information sharing and collaboration. The result of this research may be summed up as follows: ICE promotes information sharing and collaboration among enterprises, it accelerates integration of supply chain network among enterprises and cooperation. In particular, ICE has a great effect on information sharing. And information sharing has a direct effect on collaboration and performance. However, when we classify corporate performance into the "performance due to introduction", which is direct performance, and the "overall performance", which is indirect performance, the result of this research is as follows: information sharing has a great effect on the performance due to introduction, but does not have a meaningful effect on indirect performance. On the other hand, collaboration does not have any effect on the performance due to introduction, but has a meaningful effect on the overall performance, which is indirect performance. It is necessary to study and analyze additional this result in future.
An attractive user interface (UI) design with a clear user experience (UX) is the key for the success of applications. Therefore software development projects require very close collaboration between SI developers and front-end service developers. However, methodologies for software development only exist with inadequate development processes or work standards for collaboration. This survey derived 13 risk factors in developing UI/UX from 113 risk factors of IT projects through a questionnaire and factor analysis and proposed a collaboration-based UI/UX development model that can eliminate or mitigate six risks with high weights and reliability. To extract risk factors with high reliability, factor and reliability were analyzed to extract 13 major risks, and based on the expert opinions and the results of correlation analysis, UI/UX development stages were classified into planning, design, and implementation. The causal relationships between risks were verified through regression analysis. This study is the first to expertly analyze major risks based on collaboration in UI/UX development and derive a theoretical basis that can be used in project risk management. These findings are expected to provide a basis for research on development methodologies for higher levels of front-end services and to construct rational collaboration systems between SI practitioners and front-end service providers.
The purpose of this study was to analyze on the aesthetic collaboration appeared on the modernism arts and Haute Couture designers in the 20th century as the necessity of analyzing on the pure meaning of collaboration which is a talking point associated with culture of the 21st century. The study was performed by means of documentary method. The results are as follows; First, it was analyzed that the collaboration in the pure meaning of the first half of the 20th century had partial common points which was stated as Art Inspiration in the arts collaboration out of the 21st century collaboration. Secondly, the Haute Couture designers(Paul Poiret, Gabriell Chanel, Madeleine Vionnet and Elsa Schiaparelli) have common point that they involved into the artworking through active exchange with many artists from diversified fields in the 20th century. Especially, the characteristics of the collaboration in the forms, materials and color of their works were appeared visually. When the collaboration in the first half of 20th century was regarded entirely as mental matter of manifestation of pure aesthetics, in can be said that the big difference was mostly the maximization of mutual interest between collaborator and collaboratee in the 21st century collaboration.
The collaboration among academia, industry, and public research sector gains importance in these days. This is essential for implement competent regional and national innovation systems. There have been many governmental programs for activating collaboration among innovation actors. Most policy programs for collaboration have aimed at increasing S&T and innovation potential and constructing S&T infrastructure. However, Korea has not produced a sufficient level of collaboration, especially on regional level. Most policy programs could not reach regions and many regions have no enough innovation actors. In order to activate R&D collaboration, therefore, we suggest that Korean S&T community should build and implement "collaborative research centers" all over the regions. This concept is very new approach, especially because it focuses on collaboration among regional innovation actors. In this paper, we discuss a concept, type, and execution strategy of collaboration research centers. We expect that these centers will play an important role in implementing successful regional innovation systems, as they will link regional innovation actors very closely.
Purpose With the advent of the 4th Industrial Revolution, related technologies such as IoT, big data, and artificial intelligence technologies are developing through not only specific companies but also a number of unspecified developers called open collaboration. For this reason, it is important to understand the nature of the collaboration that leads to successful open collaboration. Design/methodology/approach We focused the relationship between the collaboration characteristics and collaboration performance of developers who participating in open source software development, which is a representative open collaboration. Specifically, we create the country-specific network and draw the individual developers characteristics from the network such as collaboration scope and collaboration intensity. We compare and analyze the characteristics of developers across countries and explore whether there are differences between indicators. We develop a Web crawler for GitHub, a representative OSSD development site, and collected data of developers who located at China, Japan, Korea, the United States, and Canada. Findings China showed the characteristics of cooperation suitable for the form of weak tie theory, and consistent results were not drawn from other countries. This study confirmed the necessity of exploratory research on collaboration characteristics by country considering that there are differences in open collaboration characteristics or software development environments by country.

Web-based virtual collaboration is increasingly gaining popularity in almost every area in our society due to the fact that it can bridge the gap imposed by time and geographical constraints. However, in medical field, such collaboration has been less popular than other fields. Some of the reasons were timeliness, security, and preciseness of the information they are dealing with. In this paper, we are proposing a web-based distributed medical collaboration system called Virtual Collaboration System for Medicine (VCSM) for medical doctors that meet the needs. The proposed system consists of two parts - multimedia presentation and recordable virtual collaboration. The former supports synchronized multimedia presentation using Synchronous Multimedia Integration Language (SMIL.) It allows synchronization of the contents of a PowerPoint presentation file and a video file. The presentation may be provided to the participants before the discussion begins. Next, in the virtual collaboration stage, participants can use text along with associated symbols during the discussion over the presented medical images. The symbols such as arrows or polygons can be set or removed dynamically to represent areas of interest in digital images using so called layered architecture that separates image layer from annotation layer. XML files are used to record participants' opinions along with the symbols over some particular images
