Development of a Silver-care Curriculum for an aging society (고령화사회에 부응하는 실버케어 교육 과정의 개발)

  • Since our country is rapidly progressing from an aging society to an advanced age society, it already puts in effect basic old-age pension system, hurries training human resources like care-giver, and has ahead offering the aged long-term care insurance. But our country still needs to develop a systematic curriculum in order to train professionals that can fundamentally deal with an aging society problems. In this paper, therefore, we describe the development of a curriculum for training silver-care professionals improving qualities of old person life in order to suit to an aged society and prepare for an advanced age society. It includes a network model of a silver-care curriculum based on subject classifications according to fields and levels.

A Study on Designing an Undergraduate Curriculum in Digital Forensics per Stages for Developing Human Resource (디지털 포렌식 인력 양성을 위한 단계별 대학 교과과정 설계에 관한 연구)

  • It is a current situation that a large number of physical and financial damages are increasing due to the growth of intellectual cyber crime and unexpected Internet incidents year by year. In the large scale security incidents, digital forensics techniques for computer crime investigations are essential to secure a place in the field. However, qualified digital forensics investigators who complete with digital security technology are practically insufficient in domestic. In this paper, as one of developing human resources plans regarding to scientific investigation of Internet security incidents, an undergraduate curriculum per stage in digital forensics was proposed. For the effective curriculum per stage, the interviews, group discussion on focused group of existing digital forensics investigators and related research were performed to select curriculum, and then the level of difficulty and practical suitability on each subject designed were analyzed through survey and interview to current investigators and security professionals. After collating the survey, the digital forensic curriculum per level was designed to highly adaptable workforce for the future for working and positive suggestions and proposals are addressed.

Derivation of HRD Policy Direction in the Field of Green Technology Using AHP Methodology (AHP방법론을 이용한 녹색기술 인력정책 방향성 도출)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive HRD programs for the government's priorities and HRD policy direction in the field of green technology to create green jobs. AHP methodology was employed by looking into "green job creation and HRD programs" announced by government. The empirical results showed that the most important one among 37 HRD programs was green education and research capacity building in engineering college and graduate school. And fostering green social enterprise, green education and research through university-research collaboration, green workers transition training, strategic partnership for green job are presented in order in terms of the importance. It suggested green creativity(0.384), green Industry growth (0.277), s정ustainable development (0.125), green technology spill-over effect (0.089), a global collaboration (0.084 ), and green cultural diffusion (0.042) as a green technology and HRD policy direction.

  • The recent plant order of oversea in domestic engineering and Construction Companies have been growing since 2003. In 2006, the total order came out 2.54 billion dollar. And in a quarter of 2007, the Ministry of Commerce announced that total order already came out 900 million dollar. They expect that the plant industry in the global market will be grown more in near future. However, even though there is growing plant businesses in oversea specially focused on the Middle East area, the domestic large engineering and Construction Company now face up the shortage of specialty manpower. Moreover, the domestic small and medium enterprises have same problems as large companies have. The plant construction industry is expanding rapidly, but the supply of specialty manpower can not follow its growing business. Also, most new supplied manpower is the person who graduated recently and received the degree in the different civil engineering track other than the plant major track, they are required to be re-educated. So, it is unable to deploy in short time. Also, there is shortage of manpower in the Construction Management financing division. Consequently, this project will study the efficient method of training for specialty manpower, provide the solutions.

An Analysis on Training Curriculum for Educating Information Security Experts (정보보안 전문인력 양성을 위한 교육과정 분석)

  • Nowadays due to the development of IT, hacking has become a major issue and importance of information system security is rapidly increasing. This research focuses on problems of training system security experts within Korea by analysing university's management information system curriculum and proposes an alternative way to solve this problem. The result of this research is the following. First, reformation of university's curriculum for successfully training system security experts is crucial. Second, theories that was learned in university courses need to be coherent to the actual work that the system security experts do in the field. Lastly, advanced IT countries like the US and Japan have already made standards on training system auditors and reinforced it with laws. Therefore Korea should establish a formal standard system like the other IT industry advanced countries.

Study of the Linkage of the Education System to foster Manpower of Culture Contents (문화콘텐츠 인력양성을 위한 교육시스템의 연동에 관한 연구)

  • The values of material civilizations that dominated the last century have been replaced with invisible values such as knowledge, information, and culture. The central axis of the world economy is also rapidly shifting from a capital and labor-intensive industry to a knowledge-based industry of software and contents. From the perspective of the industrialization of culture as multinational corporations and dominance and subordination relationships between cultures thereof, and crisis of cultural identity, the issues of support and fostering a culture industry arise. These have become major issues of concern in deciding national policies. In response to this trend, new departments related to culture contents in various universities have been established for fostering manpower in the field and the government policy to foster related human resources. However, actual results have not been currently achieved, despite the increase in quantity. This is due to the fact that the walls between culture contents departments were too high and thus education and fostering excellent human resources have not been properly conducted. It is also due to the obscure direction of education and a deficiency in the system. To cope with these problems, a systematic manpower-fostering education program should be developed through enhancement of the understanding of culture contents via linking education programs with detailed major fields of study. Accordingly, this study aims to identify changes in the current culture contents industry at home and abroad according to digitalization for fostering manpower of culture contents required in a rapidly changing environment of the culture contents industry. Then, it will review what influence has been made on the education system through the identification of personnel types through work flow charts and contents delivery modes following integration, as well as a desirable method to construct culture contents. Therefore, this study is a preliminary study on the means of fostering core personnel in the culture contents industry through linkage with the education system.

  • This study aims to derive implications on current problems in the nursing manpower management in Korea through the comparison with the nursing workforce and employmentrent in the United States and Japan. There are various issues in nursing policy, such as nursing shortage, quality of the nursing service, and the increased cost of management due to the high turnover rate of nursing staffs and it is urgent to seek various policy measures to resolve this. Although nursing shortage is a commom problem in the world, the U.S. and Japan were higher rate of employment than Korea in nursing staffs, which implicates the importance of the legislation of mandatory minimum staffing ratios, the establishment of policies such as the fees and charge policy and the nursing work environments. For quality nursing care and patient safety through the stable workforce of qualified nursing staffs, administrative mechanisms that support adequate nurse staffing and promote positive work conditions are needed, for which the improvement of legal system is required.

  • Although GIS technology has been developed rapidly, the education system for GIS technology and its utilization has not been well facilitated in our society. Consequently, the economic value in GIS application system is not estimated properly in the public sector. On the other hand, industries currently suffer lack of technocrats or researchers to develop GIS. In addition, the demand for GIS education on its concept and know-how has increased drastically as GIS analytic technology has come to be applied to more varified fields. Under these circumstances, this study researched and analyzed the current state of GIS education in the public, private and academic sectors in Korea. Furthermore, it recommended improving the educational environment for GIS experts training based on the results of the questionnaire used in the survey. Most of all, the national investment should be conducted systematically in order to improve quality of education in the public, private and academic sectors.

  • Most animation films running on cinema or TV are based on 3D images. Domestically, a lot of 3D animations are produced, and the number of 3D animation films are on the annual rise. Many human resources relating to animation participate in a variety of domestic and foreign animation projects of domestic producers. In the animation participate in a variety resources are of more importance. As a result, many university make the effort to raise human resources for 3D animation. In this paper, we will look into the curriculum of 3D animation. In particular, based on the questionnaire survey in which domestic 3D animation producers participated, this study analyzed the survey results and tried to discuss how to rise human resources for creative 3D animation in university. It is aimed at suggesting the directions of raising human resources for 3D animation in proper 3D animation education and of their contributions to the development of the domestic 3D animation industry.
