  • Except the collision avoidance performance related to the rapid lane change, the 4WS vehicle has better dynamic stability and handling performance than the conventional 2WS vehicle which has close relation with the driver's safety, a 4WS conrol method with the effect of steering wheel angular velocity is proposed based on the fact that the driver steers abruptly the steering wheel to avoid the collision. And the effects of the proposed 4WS control method are investigated on the dynamic stability and handling performance by using the ISO lane change test code.

  • 본 논문은 건축물 내장재로 사용되는 폴리우레탄폼 및 스티로폼의 연소특성에 관하여 연구하였다. 연소특성 평가를 위하여 폴리우레탄폼 및 스티로폼을 대상으로 연소실험을 수행하였으며, 건축용 내장재 사용의 적합성 평가를 위하여 콘칼로리미터법을 이용한 열방출률 및 연기밀도를 측정 분석하였다. 연소특성 실험 결과, 일반 재질의 폴리우레탄폼은 착화와 동시에 급속히 연소되는 특성을 나타내었으며, 난연 처리된 폴리우레탄폼은 착화와 동시에 자체적으로 소화되는 특성을 나타내었다. 스티로폼은 착화 이후 서서히 연소 확대되며, 이후에는 가장 격렬히 연소되는 특성을 나타내었다. 방출률 및 연기밀도는 한국산업규격 KS F ISO 5660-1 및 국제해사기구의 FTP Code를 만족하지 못하는 것으로 평가되었으며, 이러한 결과로 볼 때, 폴리우레탄폼 및 스티로폼은 건축용 내장재로 사용하기 부적합한 것으로 판단된다.

  • 정보교환용 한글부호계는 훈민정음창제원리와 ISO 2022 권고안이 그 바탕이 되어야 현행의 모든 한글 부호계가 가진 문제의 해결이 가능하다. 한글 부호계는 정음 28자를 기본 체계로하여 연서법, 병서법, 부서법, 성음법등에 의한 전환을 통하여 다양한 소리를 표기할 수 있도록 규정하고 있다. 그리고 한글 옛글자를 포함한 모든 한국어 정보처리가 가능하도록 부호계가 제정되어야 하고 두벌식 낱자형에서 자음의 이중성으로 인한 부담을 개선한 세벌식 낱자형 부호계를 제안하고 궁극적으로 정보교환용 한글부호계의 개선도 꾀한다.

A Study on Cutting Tool Selection Techniques for Rough and Finish Turning Operations (선삭가공에서 황삭 및 정삭용 절삭공구선정방법에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents a development of computer aided cutting tool selection techniques for rough and finish turning operations. The developed system,. which is one of important activities for computer aided operation planning, firstly implements operation sequencing. Then, from relations of the size of machined area, recommended finishing allowance and maximum depth of cut, a main machining method is selected, a number of cut is calculated, cutting tools including toolholders and inserts are selected, and values for cutting parameters are determined. A cutting tool selection procedure is proposed for toolholders and inserts of ISO code in rough cutting, and some important parameters such as holder style, tool approach angle, tool function and its direction are described in detail. In order to demonstrate the validity of the system a case study is performed.

  • RFID 시스템에서 소형화 추세 및 배터리 사용에 따라 태그 및 리더의 전송 전력을 최소화할 수 있는 저전력 설계가 반드시 필요하다. 또한 리더와 Tag는 무선으로 통신을 수행하며, 동시에 Tag는 이동성을 가지므로 에러율이 유선방식에 비해 상당히 높다. 그러나 현재 ISO표준에서는 에러발생시 MAC계층에서 단지 CRC체크 후 재전송을 하는 방식으로 에너지 효율성 및 전송효율이 떨어진다. 본 논문에서는 이 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해서 유통 물류 등에 사용되는 900MHz대역의 RFID시스템에서 에너지 소모 최소화와 신뢰성을 보장할 수 있는 방법으로 Hybrid ARQ를 제안한다. 기존의 Hybrid ARQ를 개선시켜 에너지 효율성을 고려한 최적패킷 길이를 사용하고, 에너지 소모가 적은 BCH Code를 채택한다. 성능 분석 및 시뮬레이션 결과, 제안하는 Hybrid ARQ 방식이 기존의 전송방식보다 에너지 효율성 및 신뢰성을 향상시킴을 보여준다.

  • An upgraded algorithm that in proves the performance of existing interfacing software for parsing HL7 messages is introduced. It incorporates stack operations on objects to guarantee segment order while parsing messages. This object-oriented design greatly facilitates the complicated process of validating, parsing, and creating HL7 messages in the clinical setting. The new interface engine can manage all HL7 messages corresponding to admission and registration, discharge and transfer, laboratory results, clinical images, and clinical reports. The international version of this engine, currently under development, will be tested in Asian countries using standard character code such as Unicode (ISO 10646).

A Study of Barrier Insertion Loss Near a High Rise Building (고층 건물에 인접한 방음벽의 삽입손실에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper performance of the noise barrier which is 53 m long and 6m high, and is located between the high rise apartment and road, is studied by using experimental and analytic method. The insertion loss is measured by using the direct method in accordance with the ISO code, while theoretical prediction is based on Muradali and Fyfe's method (Applied Acoustics, Vol. 53, 49~75, 1998). In addition to the diffraction at the top of the barrier, the waves are reflected infinite times between the building and the barrier, which is equivalent to replacing the building by the infinite series of the image receiver points. In two-dimensional study, the prediction of the insertion loss results in significantly overestimated values compared with the measurement. However three-dimensional analysis shows reasonable agreements, where traffic noise is assumed as incoherent line source and the length of the source is larger than that of the barrier.

Partial Safety Factor of Offshore Wind Turbine Pile Foundation in West-South Mainland Sea (서남해안 해상풍력단지 말뚝기초의 부분안전계수)

  • This paper is aimed to suggest a site specific partial safety factor of offshore wind turbine (OWT) pile foundation design for the offshore wind turbine complex at a West-South mainland sea in Korea. International offshore wind design standards such as IEC, GL, DNV, API, ISO and EUROCODE were compared with each partial safety factor and resistance factor. Soil uncertainty analysis using a large number of soil data sampled was carried out, and their results were adapted to estimate partial safety factor of OWT pile foundation through reliability analyses. The representative partial safety factor has been estimated as 1.3. When a proposed partial factor is willing to use to other sites, it is recommended that further studies on code calibration are required to validate their accuracy using more site characterization data.

  • Illegal game players' hacking and propagation of malignant code in online game exposes privacy of online game customers. So, online game companies have to support the standardized systems and operations of customers' privacies. Since online game companies implement authentication of information protection, which focuses on assets or physical, systemic security, they need a more professional system that is related to protection of individual privacy. We analyzed the individual information protection system, which includes ISO27001, ISMS of KISA, GMITS, ePrivacy, online game privacy protection guide, and BS10012. Using the suggested systems, we proposed the systemic tools that measure the level of individual information protection, which includes process and check items of each phase.

  • In this study, an improved aluminum alloy (6082-T6) was used to develop a unique model of an aluminum ladder for usage in offshore plant. The structural strength design was carried out in accordance with international standards such as ISO, NORSOK Austria Standard. Load combination was performed to satisfy all conditions. The structural safety of the designed model was verified using SACS, an analysis program for offshore plants based on the Finite elements method. The analysis results confirmed that both stress and deflection were satisfied within the acceptance criteria. The developed model can be applied used in various fields in the near future as it meets all the necessary criteria and is lightweight and has improved productivity.
