  • Competition is now moving from between companies to between networked enterprises(NE). It's difficult to evaluate the outcome of NE because formalization of collaboration among partners is difficult. This paper introduces a performance-management model focusing on collaboration in NE. The model is an integration of BSC and EFQM model, but it is different from conventional researches as it links performance management with strategic management based on a comprehensive framework of collaboration. Theoretical and empirical researches are further required to validate the model. Studying cases of several Korean NEs, we have obtained some findings for further research and application.

  • Construction productivity is a key factor for efficiency evaluation of construction work process, project performance measurement, and basic data of work plan in construction industry. However, although construction productivity is important in construction industry, gathering methodology and analyzing methodology of productivity data are not well-organized therefore productivity data is not utilized in the construction industry The purpose of this study is to develop productivity prediction system using data mining technology based on activities and to suggest frameworks about productivity data collection, accumulation.

  • Although an insurance criterion for reliance is unified, the difference in evaluation mechanism in every country is already ambiguity. In other words, the aspect of objectivity would be a little because it is true that the vulnerability evaluation include evaluator, scenario and tools (TSVES) applying in test, depth and scope of evaluation. But evaluation results can be difference in accordance with each evaluation elements. By using TSVES to evaluating network security vulnerability, first, we expected the evaluation results is impartiality, objectivity, repeatability, reproducibility, appropriateness and soundness of results. Second, it could be transferred manual ways into automation ways, and then expected easiness and safety of extension and modification in a quality of products as well as a dramatical reduction of waste of time and energy.

  • This paper suggests a way of estimating the value of interclass equity improvement by railway operations. Equity is understood in this paper in the context of a mobility gap between classes. The value of the reduced mobility gap by railway operations is interpreted as an increase of social equity. In particular, the unit value of equity improvement by rail services is quantified based on the amount of fare reduction through public service obligations. The difference in the surplus calculation between elastic and inelastic demands relative to the reduction is also discussed. The result of this study is expected to be helpful of performing more cautious appraisal for rail investment schemes.

  • The main purpose of this study is the comprehensive review of the compensation system that affects the employee's job satisfaction and turnover intention. This study is mainly designed to review previous studies of the impact of compensation system, and suggest meaningful implications in relation to firm's performance. It is clarified that compensation is positively related to firm's performance, and the perceived equity mediates the relationship between compensation and performance. It is suggested that an empirical research should be done based on the formulated propositions of this research.

  • Nonlinearity and anisotropy of soil should be considered for the exact prediction of deformation before the failure state. In this study, a new constitutive model is developed in which the nonlinearity of soil is formulated by Ramberg-Osgood equation and the soil anisotropy is implemented by the cross-anisotropic elasticity. Nonlinear anisotropic model and other models for comparison are used to analyze the simple boundary value problems and the circular footing problem. In the results, the anisotropic ratio of elastic modulus is a key value for the bulk modulus of soil, the coeffcient of earth pressure at rest, and the slope of effective stress paths. Furthermore, it is found that the nonlinearity of soil considering the in-situ stresses has the great influence on the magnitude of settlements.

  • This is an experimental study which is designed to identify the joint relationship between communication density and centrality as independent factors to team performance, discovering how they would jointly affect work team performance. Specially different from existing studies, separating team performance into team efficiency and team effectiveness, we identified differential influences to the two independent factors. Findings suggest a competing relationship between communication density and centrality. A framework was proposed to help managers understand the joint effect of density and centrality on performance. Work team has high communication density and low centrality is "Innovating", which is likely to have a great extent of ideas, knowledge and information sharing, and reach high effectiveness. Team with high centrality and low density is characterized as "centralized". Such communication structure may reduce diversity of perspectives and accelerate team decision making. When both density and centrality are low, the team is "Autonomous". To increase external validity, other factors such as leadership, organizational climate influencing on team performance should be reflected in the future research.

  • One of the most controversial issues in contemporary research of creativity, whether a person"s creativity is domain-specific or domain-general, was investigated with 109 second grade children in the present study. The purposes of this study sere to empirically examine (1) the relationships among children's creative performances measured by three product-based assessments (story-telling, collage-making, and math word problems) in three domains, and (2) the relationships between children's general creative thinking sills, measured by two divergent thinking tests, and children's creative performances. The findings of this study support the position that creative ability in young children is rather (but not absolutely0 domain-specific. Children exhibited a range of creative ability across different domains rather than a uniform creative ability in diverse domains, indicating there is considerable intra-individual variation in creative ability by domain. Divergent thinking measures did not have great power in predicting creative performance in at least two of three, if not all, domains assessed in the study. It is implied from the study that it is not possible to reliably predict a child"s creative ability in one domain based on his/her creative ability in other domains or his/her overall divergent thinking ability. Implication of the study in connection with educational practices for gifted children is discussed.

  • The performance measurement has been taken with the transformation concept of production, which is considered to be a major cause of existing problems. In order to improving productivity, it is argued that the performance measurement based on Lean Construction is necessary. This study suggests new performance measurement indicators based on work flow ; Reliability, Effectiveness, Efficiency.

  • Education for an organization is implemented to improve the organizational and each individual's performance. However, the actual results are not as expected. Accordingly, this study is committed to investigate the education related factors that have impact on the organizational performance, which is defined by the trainee's organizational commitment and work performance. Based on the acquired knowledge, we suggest things to consider when designing corporate training for performance creation. First, it is investigated whether the task value and job relevance(educational content characteristics) and the degree of support for education within the company(organizational characteristics) affect learning-transfer of trainees. After that, the causal relationship from the learning-transfer to organizational commitment and work performance(organizational effectiveness) is analyzed. In this overall process, the effect of on-/off-line education is analyzed and compared. As a result, it is found that the task value, the job relevance, and organizational compensation have a significant impact on the learning-transfer, and the learning-transfer has impact on organization commitment and work performance. In addition, the moderating effect of the on-/off- education is identified. This study is conducted only with franchise enterprises and as a future study, a more general sampling is required to extend this work.
