  • Several studies have investigated the success of ASP(Application Service Provider) from various perspectives. This study, thus, investigated factors affecting ASP effectiveness in various literature relevant ASP and outsourcing. By applying the basic ideas of the IS success model, this study proposes a research model of the factors affecting the success of ASP, in term of internal factors(Top Management Involvement, User Participation, IS Maturity) and external factors(Transaction Reliability, Service Reliability, System Trust Security). The proposed model is expected to help both researchers and practitioners extend their understanding of the success factors of the ASP effectiveness.

  • This study proposes a method to improve network security systems based on critical success factors for systems development. To accomplish the research objective, the study analyzes required functions of network security systems and reviews existing methods to improve network security systems. Based on the analyses and literature review, critical success factors for development of network security systems are identified and a new method to improve network security systems based on the critical success factors is proposed. The proposed method to improve network security systems is based on utilizing multi-core processors. A prototype is developed and validated. This study will provide a good case in the network security area where research incorporating both engineering and management disciplines lacks.

  • The purpose of the current study is to identify the critical success factors of information systems in small-and-medium-sized firms in general, and also to investigate any differences of those critical success factors between two different industries: the electronic and textile industries. To accomplish this purpose, we collected and analyzed 115 and 108 questionnaires from the electronic and textile industries respectively. From the results of statistical analysis, critical success factors of small-and-medium-sized companies in general were obtained, and critical success factors from two industries were compared and the differences were able to be identified. The results of the analysis of the questionnaires are as follows: 1) The organizational characteristics of the electronic industry showed some differences from those of the textile industry; 2) Small-and-medium-sized companies in the electronic industry appeared to have some differences from companies in the textile industry in terms of critical success factors of information systems. Such factors as education and training, quality level of software, capability of users, business processes, standardization of data management, level of organization, user involvement, support of top management were significantly different between two industries.

  • This study empirically examined the effects of data warehousing methodology on the success of data warehousing. Research model and two hypotheses were set up to identify the relationships among two types of data warehousing methodology(top-down/bottom-up, dw configuration) and success based on the investigations of such theories as data warehousing, data warehousing methodology, IS success and so forth. And the survey instrument(questionnaire) was developed to collect data. Ultimately 183 questionnaires from 61 korean firms were collected. Findings showed that two types of data warehousing methodology affect significant effect on the success of data warehousing.

  • Factors influencing the success or failure of information systems9IS) have been discussed in many literes. However, little thertical development or empirical research has examined effectiveness of information systems in health center. This study evaluates several model that contribute to IS success in bealth center. In this study, we propose a process model that exhibits several variables influence one after another. These can be classified into six different dimensions. These inclube system aspect, invidual effect. The system aspect is classified by system quality, information quality and service quality. On individual and organizational aspect, this study uses computer self-efficacy and support of top management. The results of this study are as follows: according to multiple regression analysis of user satisfaction, information quality and support of top management are statistically significant influence on user satisfaction. System quality and service quality are a partially significant influence on user satisfaction. Hypothesis 5, proposing that computer self-efficacy would relate positively to user satisfaction, ws not supported by the questionnaire results. Based on these results, information quality and support of top management are very important variables for IS success.

  • In recent studies, there has been much interest in the relationship between customer partnership and its effect on CRM success. Yet, there is little empirical work on it. This study empirically examines the relationship between customer partnership and CRM success in Korean companies. The findings indicate that the success of the relational systems(information technology and education/reward) is significantly related to trust to customer and customer partnership. The study also provides empirical evidence that trust and customer partnership is positively related to the new CRM success and the traditional CRM success.

  • Although many employees in the logistics/small package express companies are using mobile information systems. there is little research on the individual impacts of adopting mobile information systems in the distribution area. Therefore, this study attempts to develop the research model to evaluate individual impacts on using mobile information systems which are frequently utilized in logistics and small package express companies. In order to propose the research model, we attempt to incorporate technology acceptance model and IS success model to evaluate individual impacts on using mobile information systems. To verify the research model, we collected 225 data from staffs who have mobile IT system in distribution and logistics area. We also verified the validity and reliability by using SEM(structural equation modeling). As a results, we found that system use, cognitive judgement and attitude can be the key variables to improve individual impacts by using mobile information system. We further found that perceived usefulness can be ere of the Imp factors to improve the individual impacts. Based on out findings, we can understand that this research model can provide a deeper understanding of individual impacts of mobile information systems.

  • Many e-Learning companies are incorporated for the last five years, but most of them are failed or merged by the other company. The main reasons are the absence of competitive strategies and recognition of critical success factors. There are many researches on the critical success factors of Information System (IS) and Electronic Commerce (EC) . We derived e-Learning success factors from the previous IS and EC researches. We classified the success factors into five dimensions, (1) contents management, (2) learner management, (3) business strategy, (4) organizational support and ability, (5) learning management system (LMS), and each dimension has 9 or more success factors measurement items. We surveyed the perceived importance of the success factors from the manager of South Korea e-Learning firms. The paper categorized the items into two or more factors for each dimension by the exploratory factor analysis. Finally, we conducted one-way ANOVA for each success factors by the business model. As a result, there is different importance level for each success factors by the business model. We concluded that each e-Learning company needs different strategies to their business model.
