Obesity is characterized by a state of chronic low-grade inflammation and insulin resistance, which are aggravated by the interaction between hypertrophic adipocytes and macrophages. In this study, we investigated the effects of tangeretin on inflammatory changes and glucose uptake in a coculture of hypertrophic adipocytes and macrophages. Tangeretin decreased nitric oxide production and the expression of interleukin (IL)-6, $IL-1{\beta}$, tumor necrosis $factor-{\alpha}$, inducible nitric oxide synthase, and cyclooxygenase-2 in a coculture of 3T3-L1 adipocytes and RAW 264.7 cells. Tangeretin also increased glucose uptake in the coculture system, but did not affect the phosphorylation of insulin receptor substrate (IRS) and Akt. These results suggest that tangeretin improves insulin resistance by attenuating obesity-induced inflammation in adipose tissue.

ERP is the general trend of industrial information system and many companies are introducing strategically to strengthen the competitive power. This paper analyzes the efficiency of introducing companies of ERP system using DEA model. We also suggest the introducing of ERP system which can be benchmarked based on analyzed information. We evaluate the CCR, BCC efficiency and RTS of 38 introducing companies of ERP system. The result shows that three enterprises whose values of CCR efficiency are 1, and seven enterprises whose values of BCC efficiency are 1. RTS indicates IRS of 22 companies. DRS of 2 companies and CRS of 4 companies.

An endemic endangered species, Aster altaicus var. uchiyamae (Danyang aster) B2015-0044, is cultivated at the Shingu Botanical Garden, which serves as the ex situ conservation institution for this species. In this work, we sequenced the chloroplast genome of A. altaicus var. uchiyamae B2015-0044. We found that the chloroplast (cp) genome of B2015-0044 was 152,457 base pairs(bps) in size: 84,247 bps of large single copy regions(LSC), 25,007 bps of inverted repeats(IRs), and 18,196 bps of small single copy regions. The B2015-0044 cp genome contains 79 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 4 RNA genes, 29 tRNA genes, and 3 pseudogenes. These results were identical to a previously reported cp genome (Park et al., 2017), except for two sites in introns and three in intergenic spacer (IGS) regions. For the intronic differences, we found that clpP.i1 had a 1-bp small simple repeat (SSR) (T) and petD.i had a 3-bp SSR (ATT). We found 1-bp SSRs in the IGSs of trnT_ggu~psbD and psbZ~trnG_gcc, C and A, respectively. The IGS of(ndhF)~rpl32 had a SNP. Based on our results, the cp genome of the A. altaicus var. uchiyamae can be classified into two genotypes, [C]¹-[A]¹²-[T]¹²-[ATT]⁴-C and [C]²-[A]¹¹-[T]¹¹-[ATT]²-A.

Home Meal Replacement (HMR) products are ready-to-eat or pre-cooked food products that are consumed at daily home. HMR market has grown rapidly due to societal changes: increases in female social activities, silver population, and one-person households. Consumption channels of HMR can be classified into take-out, delivery, and retail. In Korean HMR market, retail sector is largely growing, but companies are focusing their business on the home delivery sector. Moreover, franchise companies are expanding their areal coverage in the HMR market based on their multi-unit strategy. However, more research on the HMR market is needed as existing studies are limited in conceptualization, classification, and processed food from malls or home-shopping channels. Therefore, we conducted the efficiency analysis on Gukseonsaeng, one of franchises that applied the take-out channel, using DEA method. According to the research on 29 franchisees of Gukseonsaeng, 77.9% of input appeared inefficient for technical efficiency, while 53.3% of input appeared inefficient for scale efficiency. Thus, we found that franchises of Gukseonsaeng are structured in increasing returns to scale (IRS), so enhancing efficiency by expanding scales need to be implemented.

Purpose: The long-term efficacy and safety of infliximab (IFX) in children with ulcerative colitis (UC) have not been well-evaluated. Here, we reviewed the long-term durability and safety of IFX in our single center pediatric cohort with UC. Methods: This retrospective study included 20 children with UC who were administered IFX. Results: For induction, 5 mg/kg IFX was administered at weeks 0, 2, and 6, followed by every 8 weeks for maintenance. The dose and interval of IFX were adjusted depending on clinical decisions. Corticosteroid (CS)-free remission without dose escalation (DE) occurred in 30% and 25% of patients at weeks 30 and 54, respectively. Patients who achieved CS-free remission without DE at week 30 sustained long-term IFX treatment without colectomy. However, one-third of the patients discontinued IFX treatment because of a primary nonresponse, and one-third experienced secondary loss of response (sLOR). IFX durability was higher in patients administered IFX plus azathioprine for >6 months. Four of five patients with very early onset UC had a primary nonresponse. Infusion reactions (IRs) occurred in 10 patients, resulting in discontinuation of IFX in four of these patients. No severe opportunistic infections occurred, except in one patient who developed acute focal bacterial nephritis. Three patients developed psoriasis-like lesions. Conclusion: IFX is relatively safe and effective for children with UC. Clinical remission at week 30 was associated with long-term durability of colectomy-free IFX treatment. However, approximately two-thirds of the patients were unable to continue IFX therapy because of primary nonresponse, sLOR, IRs, and other side effects.

This study examines financial performance of nonprofit performing arts organizations to provide concrete suggestions and improve their financial performance so that they can build strategies to continue organizational activities. This study investigates empirical data of IRS 990 tax form of top 73 US orchestras and analyzed GLS pannel. Dependent variables are measured as contributions and ticket sales, and independent variables are measured as economic environment, cultural capital, orchestra characters, government grants, and social capital. Based on the finding from the research, determination of contribution outcomes is positively affected by state employment and orchestra's internal characteristics including age, size and conductor's US nationality, government grants, and volunteer. Ticket sales are affected by employment, education level, orchestra's resources, government grants, and volunteer. However, a size of cultural market negatively influences on financial outcomes and cultural capital doesn't influence on results. Interesting finding is a relationship between volunteers and organizations is vital of their fiscal achievement. This is significant in empirical analysis on nonprofit performing arts organizations from an economic view point, and will contribute on organizations to improve their strategic plan to sustain a business.

High energy photons and mechanical energy produced by the process of star formation result in copious FIR molecular and atomic lines, which are important coolants of the system. Photons thermally or mechanically induced could dissociate water in the dense envelope to change relative abundances among the species O, OH, and H2O. Here we analyze OH emission lines toward embedded young stellar objects (YSOs) observed as part of the Herschel open time key program, 'Dust, Ice, and Gas In Time (DIGIT)' in order to study the physical conditions of associated gas and the energy budget loaded on the OH line emission. According to our analysis of the Herschel/PACS spectra, OH emission peaks at the central spaxel in most of sources, but several sources show spatially extended emission structures. In the extended emission sources, the distribution of OH emission is correlated with that of [OI] emission and extended along the outflow directions. Considering the diversity of source properties, ratios between detected OH lines are relatively constant among sources. In addition, each OH line has strong correlation with bolometric luminosity. For detail analyses with rotation diagram and non-LTE LVG model, we present the results from GSS30-IRS1 and Elias29.

High resolution panchromatic satellite images collected by sensors such as IRS-1C/D and KOMPSAT-1 have a spatial resolution of approximately 6 ${\times}$ 6 ㎡, making them very attractive for urban applications. However, the spectral information present in these images is very limited. In order to overcome this limitation, an object-oriented classification approach is used to identify basic land cover types in urban areas. Before an image can be classified it is segmented at different aggregation levels using a multiresolution segmentation approach. In the course of this segmentation various statistical as well as topological information is collected for each segment. Based on this information it is possible to classify image objects and to arrive at much better results than by looking only at single pixels. Using an image recorded by KOMPSAT-1 over the City of Vienna a land cover classification was carried out for two areas. One was used to set up the rules for the different land cover types. The second subset was classified based on these rules, only adjusting some of the functions governing the classification process.

Methanol ($CH_3OH$) is a key species in the formation of complex organic molecules. We report the first detection of solid $CH_3OH$ in a line of sight toward the Galactic center (GC) region, based on L-band spectra taken with the Subaru telescope, aided by L'-band imaging data and moderate-resolution spectra from NASA/IRTF. It is found toward a background star, ~8000 AU in projected distance from a newly discovered massive young stellar object (YSO). This YSO also exhibits a strong $CO_2$ ice absorption band at ${\sim}15{\mu}m$ in Spitzer/IRS data, which has a prominent long-wavelength wing. It confirms that a high $CH_3OH$ abundance is responsible for the broad $15{\mu}m$ $CO_2$ ice absorption towards massive YSOs in the GC. Clearly, $CH_3OH$ formation in ices is efficient in the GC region, as it is in star-forming regions in the Galactic disk. We discuss implications of our result on the astrochemical processes in the hostile GC molecular clouds.

본 논문에서는 관계형 데이타베이스인 오라클과 IRS중 하나인 BRS를 사용하여 XML 저장관리 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. XML저장관리 시스템의 내용 검색과 인덱스 추출을 위해 BRS 검색 시스템을 사용하였으며, XML 문서, 구조정보, DTD, 이미지 등을 저장하기 위해 오라클을 사용하였다. 본 논문에서 구현한 저장관리 시스템은 질의 처리기, 검색결과생성기, XML 객체관리자, XML 인덱스 관리자, 구조검색엔진 등으로 구성된다. 구현된 XML 저장관리 시스템은 XML 문서에 대한 내용검색뿐만 아니라 구조적 특징 또는 대트리뷰트에 기반한 검색을 효율적으로 제공한다. 구현한 저장관리 시스템은 문서 저장 시간, 문서 추출 시간, 내용 검색 시긴 등에 대해서 분할 모델 저장관리 시스템과 비교한다.
