  • 지난 97년 6월 한국생산기술연구원 연구원 창업1호로 출발한 EnE시스템㈜(대표 유제인)는 국내 최초로 빙축열시스템을 국산화한 회사로 기록되고 있다. ''빙축열 시스템용 결빙용기''에 대해 특허를 소유하고 있는 이 회사는 이와 같은 공로를 인정받아 IR52장영실상(Ice-Bon빙축열 냉방시스템)을 받았고 98년 11월에는 과학기술부로부터 국산신기술(KT마크)로 인정받기에 이르렀다. 지난 3월에는 ESCO로 등록하여 빙축열시스템과 자체 개발한 고조도반사갓을 중심으로 ESCO사업을 활발하게 펼치고 있는 중이다.

Crystallinity Determination by X-ray Diffraction and Infrared Spectroscopy in Cordierite Composition (코디어라이트 조성에 있어서 X-선 회절분석과 적외선 분광분석을 이용한 결정화도 측정)

  • 결정화 유리에서의 결정화도 측정, 혹은 소결체에서의 잔류 유리량을 측정할 때 가장 유용한 방법을 찾아내기 위하여 현재까지 보고되어 있는 방법중에서 Ohlberg와 Benedetti의 XRD를 이용한 방법과 IR을 이용한 Hirose의 방법을 선정하여 코디어라이트 조성의 유리와 β-코디어라이트의 혼합물에 대하여 결정화도를 측정하였다. 이들 측정 방법중에서 Ohlberg의 방법은 표준시료가 준비되었을 경우 약 5%의 오차를 보였으며, Benedetti의 방법은 Ohlberg의 방법보다 큰 오차를 보였지만 표준시료를 필요로 하지 않았다. Hirose의 방법은 적은 결정화도 범위에서만 적용가능한 방법인 것으로 보여졌다.

  • Amorphous carbon nitride thin films have been deposited on silicon (100) by reactive magnetron sputtering method. The basic depositon parameters varied were the r.f. power(up to 250 W), the deposition pressure in the reactor(up to 100 mtorr) and Ar:$N_2$ gas ratio. FT-IR and X-ray photoelectron spectra showed the presence of different carbon-nitrogen bonds in the films. The surface topography of the films was studied by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and atomic force microscopy(AFM).

  • Four excellent halogen-free biphosphonate flame retardants (EBDMP, EBDEP, MBDMP, MBDEP) were synthesized through polycondensation and Arbuzov rearrangement reactions without using any solvents. The products were characterized by ESI-MS, FT-IR and $^1H$ NMR. The application of EBDEP in polyurethane soft foam was studied and the results illustrated its excellent flame-proofing properties.

  • In order to improve the water resistance, we synthesized waterborne polyurethane by using polyester polyol, poly(propylene carbonate) (PPC), 4,4'-dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate ($H_{12}MDI$), and dimethylolpropionic acid (DMPA). The properties of the synthesized waterborne polyurethane using poly(propylene carbonate) (WPUP) were evaluated by FT-IR, $^1H-NMR$, GPC, DSC, TGA, and UTM. The mechanical properties increased while the adhesion properties decreased with the increase in the amount of PPC. The highest water resistance was shown when the ratio of polyester polyol to PPC was 9:1.

  • Recently, nanoporous low-k materials using porogen (pore generating material) template method have gained much attraction due to the feasible advantage of dielectric constant decrease with the increase of porogen content, which is burning out and making air void by thermal curing. In nanoporous thin films, further, control of pore size and its distribution is very important to retain suitable thermal, mechanical and electrical properties. In this study, nanoporous low-k films were prepared with MTMS-BTMSE copolymer and porogen. The effect of interaction of copolymer matrix and porogen on pore size and distribution was comparatively to investigate with molecular structure and end functional group. The characterization of nanoporous thin film prepared was also performed using various techniques including NMR, GPC, Ellipsometer, FE-SEM, TGA, and FT-IR.

MURO - Mangpo high school Unmanned Robotic Observatory

  • We introduce the characteristics and performance of the 0.25m telescope at Mangpo high school Unmanned Robotic Observatory (MURO) which was established in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeongi-do, KOREA in 2015 January. MURO system included Astrohaven 2.1m non-rotation fiberglass clamshell dome, Paramount MEII mount, Takahashi CCA 0.25m wide field telescope, FLI PL 16803 4K CCD with 7-positions filter wheel system, all sky camera and point grey wide field camera, IR 4 chanel heat sensor camera for security, DAVIS realtime weather cast, and power controled by ARS system. All control softwares are from off-the-shelf products based on Windows 7 OS to be easily operated and maintained. We expect to perform variety of science programs ranging from supernovae follow-up observation to narrow band imaging survey as well as science class activities at Mangpo high school.

Metal Complexes of Enrofloxacin Part I: Preparation, Spectroscopic, Thermal Analyses Studies and Antimicrobial Evaluation

  • The interaction of titanium (IV), yttrium (III), zirconium (IV), palladium (II) and cerium (IV) with deprotonated enrofloxacin leads to the formation of the neutral or cationic mononuclear complexes. The isolated solid complexes have been characterized with physicochemical and spectroscopic techniques and thermogravimeteric analyses. The spectroscopic data indicate that the enrofloxacin ligand is on the deprotonated mode acting as bidentate ligand coordinated to the metal ions through the ketone oxygen and a carboxylato oxygen and the metal ions completed the coordination number with water molecules. The thermal decomposition mechanisms proposed for enrofloxacin and their metal complexes were discussed. The activation energies, $E^*$, enthalpies, ${\Delta}H^*$, entropies, ${\Delta}S^*$ and Gibbs free energies, ${\Delta}G^*$, of the thermal decomposition reactions have been derived from thermogravimetric (TG) and differential thermogravimetric (DTG) curves, using Coats-Redfern (CR) and Horowitz-Metzeger (HM) methods. The antimicrobial activity has been evaluated against six different microorganisms.

유도결합 플라즈마 화학 기상 증착법을 이용한 cubic boron nitride 박막 증착에 관한 연구

  • cubic boron nitride(cubic BN)는 기계적, 전기적, 광학적, 열적으로 우수한 특성 때문에 다양한 분야에 응용 가능한 재료로, 수 십년 동안 연구되어 오고 있다. 그러나 아직까지 막내 cubic BN이 차지하는 함량과 접착력의 저조 때문에 실제로 응용되기에는 무리가 있다. 많은 이들이 이 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 노력하고 있다. Cubic BN의 생성 매카니즘에 관해서는 여러 모델들이 제시되고 있으나 아직까지 정론화된 것은 없다. 대표적인 모델들로는 스퍼터 모델, 스트레스 모델, 서브플렌테이션 모델 등이 있다. 그러나 BN 막내의 구조가 hexagal BN과 cubic BN이 혼합되어 있는 구조라는 것과 cubic BN이 형성되기 위해서는 이온 충돌 에너지가 필요하다는 점은 모든 모델들에서 일반적으로 취하고 있다. 본 연구에서는, 유도 결합 플라즈마 화학 기상 증착법을 이용해 cubic BN 박막을 증착하였다. 소스 가스로는 BCl$_3$, $N_2$, H$_2$, Ar를 사용하였다. 기판에 가해지는 R.F. 바이어스가 박막내 cubic BN의 함량에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지에 대해 연구하였다. cubic BN 상의 확인은 FT-IR 장비로 분석하였고, 막내 조성은 AES로, 박막의 두께는 FE-SEM으로 확인하였다.

INVESTIGATING THE PULSAR WIND NEBULA 3C 58 USING EMISSION MODELS

  • We present IR flux density measurements, models of the broadband SED, and results of SED modeling for the Pulsar Wind Nebula (PWN) 3C 58. We find that the Herschel flux density seems to be slightly lower than suggested by interpolation of previous measurements in nearby wavebands, implying that there may be multiple electron populations in 3C 58. We model the SED using a simple stationary one-zone and a more realistic time-evolving multi-zone scenario. The latter includes variations of flow properties in the PWN (injected energy, magnetic field, and bulk speed), radiative energy losses, adiabatic expansion, and diffusion, similar to previous PWN models. From the modeling, we find that a PWN age of 2900-5400 yrs is preferred and that there may be excess emission at ${\sim}10^{11}Hz$. The latter may imply multiple populations of electrons in the PWN.
