In this paper, we studied a method of wirelessly checking up the POD for captive flight tests which is performed during the development of guided weapons systems. The wireless power transfer module, the power distribution device, and the battery pack were designed to wirelessly power the captive flight test POD, and the communication device was designed to enable wireless communication between the POD and the check-up device. The communication device was designed to enable WiFi, IR communication, and laser diode communication, so that various communication methods could be tested. Through the performance test, it was confirmed that power was stably supplied to the captive flight test POD, and the wireless communication performance was verified by measuring the delay time and error rate. As a result, by using our system the POD check-up for the captive flight test was performed wirelessly and the data of the captive equipment could be obtained effectively.

In this paper, the performance of ultra-wideband (UWB) single input multiple output (SIMO) systems to achieve high data rate communications is studied in dense multipath environments. The effects of spatial and temporal diversities on the performance of multi-user time-hopping UWB systems using binary pulse position modulation (2PPM) are analyzed. The reduced-complexity Rake receivers based on the selective combining (called SRake) and partial combining (called PRake) are considered. The theoretical and simulation results show that the BER performance of the UWB system can be enhanced as the number of array elements and/or Rake fingers increases. Moreover, we observe that SRake is more effective for the IR-UWB systems to achieve a good BER performance, as compared with PRake.

인터넷의 활용이 보편화 됨에 따라 정보의 양은 급격히 늘어나고 있다. 이에 취업을 희망하는 구직자의 경우 IR 로부터 원하는 정보를 검색하기 위해 과거보다 더 많은 시간과 노력이 필요하게 되었다. 이에 본 논문에서는 TF(Term Frequency)기법을 통해 문서를 추출하고 추출된 문서의 Doc_ID 빈도수를 기준으로 한 내용기반과 군집기법을 혼합한 하이브리드 검색 시스템을 제안한다. 구직자들이 클릭한 취업정보들의 링크번호들을 K-means 알고리즘을 이용하여 군집화를 한다. 생성된 군집들은 각기 하나의 문서로 가정하고, 기존 문서과 더불어 검색 주제와 연관성을 갖고 있는 문서들을 동적비율로 검색 랭킹 하는 방식이다. 기존의 IR 기술과의 비교 실험을 통해 성능을 평가하였다. 실험결과 본 논문에서 제안한 방법이 기존의 방법보다 우수함을 확인할 수 있었다

차량용 애드혹 네트워크 (VANET: Vehicular Ad-hoc Network)는 차량으로 구성된 모바일 애드혹 네트워크로서 기간망의 도움 없이 차량 간 통신을 가능하게 한다. VANET에서 차량 노드는 네트워크의 일원으로 참여하면서 에너지와 자원을 사용한다. 지금까지 VANET에서 질의처리시간과 통신 과부하를 줄이기 위하여 데이터 복제와 협력 캐슁이 연구되어 왔다. 또한 VANET에서 협력 캐슁 기법 관련 연구는 주로 약한 일관성에 중점을 두고 있다. 이 논문에서는 VANET에서 엄격한 데이터 일관성을 유지하면서 효율적인 캐쉬 관리가 가능한 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 강한 데이터 일관성을 유지하면서 질의 지연과 통신 과부하를 줄일 수 있도록 IR (Invalidation Report)을 방송하는 스케줄링 기법을 제안한다. 성능 평가는 제안한 기법이 질의 지연과 통신 과부하에서 강점을 가지고 있음을 보여준다.

전투기는 적의 공대공 위협에 대응하기 위해 탐색기(seeker)가 탑재된 유도탄을 운용한다. 단거리 유도탄(SRM; short range missile)은 주로 IR 탐색기를 탑재하고 시계 거리 밖의 표적에 대응하는 중거리 유도탄(MRM; medium range missile)은 대개 RF 탐색기를 장착한다. 중거리 유도탄은 발사되더라도 탐색기의 탐지범위에 도달할 때까지 탐식기가 작동하지 않으며 항공기에 탑재된 레이다로 중거리 유도탄을 일정 거리만큼 유도해야 한다. 이런 유도 방식을 MDL (missile data link)이라 하며, 유도탄의 통신 방식에 따라 단방향 방식과 양방향 방식이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 두 가지 통신 방식에 따른 MDL과 이를 위한 레이다, 임무컴퓨터 및 유도탄 간의 연동에 대해 논하고자 한다.

소형 쿼드콥터 드론의 제작이 다양화되고, 고속 처리가 가능한 MCU의 보급으로 인해 FC에 멀티 센서가 장착되면서, 단순 동작이 아닌 특수 목적의 동작을 수행할 수 있는 소형 드론이 구현되었다. 드론에 장착된 FC 안의 IMU를 통하여 호버링과 자세제어 그리고 위치 이동 제어를 할 수 있었으나, 복잡구조를 갖는 폐쇄된 건물 안에서 GPS 연결과 영상통신이 불가능한 경우는 제어가 쉽지 않다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 공간에서 고저 변화가 있는 장애물을 만났을 경우, Lucas-Kanade 방법을 이용한 optical flow와 IR 센서를 이용하여 스스로 장애물을 넘어서 자율 비행을 수행하는 방법을 제안하였다. 실험을 통하여 안정적인 호버링 동작과 폐쇄 공간의 복잡구조를 대신하는 계단에서, 드론의 고저 비행은 주변의 외적 영향에 의한 허용 오차 10[cm] 이내로 98%의 성공률을 보이며 오르고 내리는 신뢰성 있는 자율 비행이 이루어지는 것을 확인하였다.

This paper describes a monocular PSD-based motion capture sensor to employ with commercial video game systems such as Microsoft's XBOX and Sony's Playstation II. The system includes a PSD(Position Sensitive Detector) and active infrared (IR) LED markers that are placed on the object to be tracked. The micro-controller calculates the 3D position of the markers using only the measured intensity and the 2D position on the PSD. A series of experiments were performed to evaluate the performance of our prototype system. From the experimental results we see that the proposed system has the advantages of the compact size, the low cost, the easy installation, and the high frame rates to be suitable for high speed motion tracking in games.

일반적인 정보검색 시스템은 중앙 집중식의 서버/클라이언트 방식을 사용한다. 이 방식은 서버 집중방식으로 시스템의 부하가 가중될 경우 추가적인 자원 확보에 어려움을 가진다. P2P(Peer-to-Peer) 기술은 이러한 중앙 서버의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 제안된 것이다. JXTA 플랫폼은 P2P 서비스를 제공하기 위한 오픈 소스 프로젝트로서 본 논문은 정보검색 시스템의 부하가 늘어날 경우 유연한 자원 확보를 위해 JXTA 플랫폼 기반의 JXIR(Jxta Information Retrieval) 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

본 논문은 TFT 칼라 터치 LCD(liquid crystal display)를 사용한 홈 자동화 원격 제어 시스템 개발을 제안한다. 이 혁신적이고 인간공학적인 디자인, LCD와 하드웨어 버튼의 올바른 조합을 가지고 원격 제어하며 또한 이것의 산업 선도적 기술을 홈 엔터테인먼트의 최첨단 부분을 수요자에게 공급한다. 일시적 사용자를 위한 원격제어는 다양하고 자유로운 매크로와 적외선 명령어를 가지고 자동적으로 프로그래밍 되어졌다. 라디오 주파수 명령은 50-100인치 정도의 벽 및 문을 통하여 조작되어진다. 편집기는 수많은 브랜드의 AV 관련 제품들에 대한 IR 코드에 맞게 방대한 라이브러리를 포함한다. 이 데이터베이스는 매달 새 장치 포함하여 지속적으로 추가된다. 라이브 업 데이트를 지원함으로 최신 버젼의 소프트웨어를 유지할 수 있다. 소프트웨어 제거 및 설치하는 것을 대신하여 인터넷에서 소프트웨어를 다운로드 및 업 데이트를 할 수 있다.

Quorum sensing is a process of cell-to-cell communication in which bacteria produce autoinducers as signaling molecules to sense cell density and coordinate gene expression. In the present study, a LuxI-type synthase, AnoI, and a LuxR-type regulator, AnoR, were identified in Acinetobacter nosocomialis, an important nosocomial pathogen, by sequence analysis of the bacterial genome. We found that N-(3-hydroxy-dodecanoyl)- _L -homoserine lactone (OH-dDHL) is a quorum-sensing signal in A. nosocomialis. The anoI gene deletion was responsible for the impairment in the production of OH-dDHL. The expression of anoI was almost abolished in the anoR mutant. These results indicate that AnoI is essential for the production of OH-dDHL in A. nosocomialis, and its expression is positively regulated by AnoR. Moreover, the anoR mutant exhibited deficiency in biofilm formation. In particular, motility of the anoR mutant was consistently and significantly abolished compared with that of the wild type. The deficiency in the biofilm formation and motility of the anoR mutant was significantly restored by a functional anoR, indicating that AnoR plays important roles in the biofilm formation and motility. Furthermore, the present study showed that virstatin exerts its effects on the reduction of biofilm formation and motility by inhibiting the expression of anoR. Consequently, the combined results suggest that AnoIR is a quorum-sensing system that plays important roles in the biofilm formation and motility of A. nosocomialis, and virstatin is an inhibitor of the expression of anoR.
