Analysis of calmodulin binding property of IQ motifs of IQGAP1 (IQGAP1내에 존재하는 IQ 부위들의 CaM 결합 특성 분석)

  • IQ motif-containing GTPase-activating protein 1 (IQGAP1), which is a well-known $Ca^{2+}$-independent calmodulin (CaM) binding protein, is involved in various cellular functions such as cell proliferation and cell migration. IQGAP1 has four repeated IQ motifs, which are crucial for CaM binding. It has been shown that all four IQ motifs of IQGAP1 can bind to $Ca^{2+}$/CaM, while the third and fourth IQ motifs of IQGAP1 can bind to apoCaM. However, it has not been clear whether the CaM binding of IQ motifs of IQGAP1 was mediated directly or indirectly. In this study, we examined whether the binding between CaM and each IQ motif of IQGAP1 was direct in vitro. As a result, we found that IQ1 motif has a weak $Ca^{2+}$-dependent CaM binding. In contrast, IQ3 has a $Ca^{2+}$-dependent CaM binding. All other motifs have no significant CaM binding. We also found that IQ(2.7-3) and IQ(3.5-4.4) have CaM binding capacity. This finding indicates that IQ motifs of IQGAP1 plays a dynamic role via different motif interactions with $Ca^{2+}$/CaM or proCaM.

  • This study involves the test of constructs for measuring the web site user expectation, perceived performance regarding IQ, expectation congruency, and satisfaction about influence overall satisfaction. The findings can be summarized as follows. First, Web-IQ expectation appeared to have a positive effect on Web-IQ perceived performance by expectation congruency and a positive effect on perceived performance by assimilation effect. Second, Web-IQ expectation did bot appear to have a negative effect on Web-IQ expectation congruency. Although that was rejected, it differs from established researches. Some prior Web-IQ expectations that approach to congruency after one's post Web-IQ expectation. Third, Web-IQ perceived performance appeared to have a positive effect on Web-IQ expectation congruency. Fourth, result that analyze about effect that congruency gets to Web-IQ satisfaction although Web-IQ expectation appeared to have a positive effect on overall satisfaction.

Characterization for calmodulin binding activity of IQ motifs on the IQGAP3 (IQGAP3에 존재하는 IQ 부위의 칼모듈린 결합 특성)

The IQGAP3 similar to IQGAP1 has four repeated IQ motifs, which are crucial for CaM binding. It has been recently shown that all four IQ motifs of the IQGAP1 could bind to CaM, while not clear the binding of four IQ motifs of the IQGAP3. In this study, we examined the binding between CaM and each IQ motif of IQGAP3. As a result, we found that IQ2 and IQ3, but not IQ1 and IQ4, have a $Ca^{2+}$-independent CaM binding activity. We also found that IQ(3.5-4.4) on the IQGAP3 has $Ca^{2+}$-dependent CaM binding activity as similar with that of IQGAP1. This finding indicates that IQ motifs of the IQGAP3 plays a dynamic role via different interaction of IQ motifs with $Ca^{2+}$/CaM or apoCaM.

  • DSPs used at motor control are usually fixed point processor. They need scaling because they cannot excute floating point calculation. Scaling for floating point calculation makes the DSP's speed down, complex coding and etc. Therefore the IQ math is adopted. IQ math makes the fixed point processor possible to calculate the floating point math. In addition, IQ math can reduce memory usage and be more faster than that without IQ math. It seems that IQ math is appropriate in motor position control. In comparison of the position calculation between the IQ math, math function and the sine table, the method using IQ math is superior than other methods.

ON THE APSIDAL MOTION OF IQ PERSEI (IQ Persei의 근성점 운동)

  • CCD observations of times of minimum light of IQ Per with apsidal motion were made in VR bandpasses for four nights from November to December, 2002. From the observations four times of minimum light were determined. All times of minimum light collected from literatures, including ours, were analyzed to determine the apsidal motion parameters of IQ per. The sidereal and apsidal motion periods were calculated to be $0.^{s}035$ and $0.^{y}2$ slightly longer than those of Degirmenci (1997), respectively. The apsidal motion parameters of IQ Per derived in this paper show good agreement with Degirmenci's values. Our results support his internal density constant of $k_{2obs}$ = 0.0038 for IQ Per and 5 % accuracy of agreement between the observed and modelled values of the apsidal motion constant.

  • This paper proposes an efficient estimation and compensation scheme of IQ imbalance for OFDM-based WLAN systems in the presence of symbol timing error. Since the conventional scheme assumes perfect time synchronization, the criterion of the scheme used to derive the estimation of IQ imbalance is inadequate in the presence of the symbol timing error and the system performance is seriously degraded. New criterion and compensation scheme considering the effect of symbol timing error are proposed. With the proposed scheme, the IQ imbalance can be almost perfectly eliminated in the presence of symbol timing error. The bit error rate performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated by the simulation. In case of 54 Mbps transmission mode in IEEE 802.11a system, the proposed scheme achieves a SNR gain of 4.3dB at $BER=2{\cdot}10^{-3}$. The proposed compensation algorithm of IQ imbalance is implemented using Verilog HDL and verified. The proposed IQ imbalance compensator is composed of 74K logic gates and 6K bits memory from the synthesis result using 0.18um CMOS technology.

Additional Diversity Gain in OFDM Systems under the Influence of IQ Imbalances (IQ 불균형에 의하여 왜곡된 OFDM 시스템에서의 다이버시티 이득 획득 기법)

  • In this paper, we analyze the IQ(In-phase/Quadrature) imbalance effects at both transmitter and receiver side of OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) and show that IQ imbalance is the parameter to improve the performance using ML and OSIC scheme. Especially, we can archive the diversity gain due to the IQ imbalance in multipath fading environment. In addition, new preamble format is proposed, which enable estimation of the channel and IQ imbalance parameters to maximize the diversity gain. Significant performance improvement is achieved by using the ML(Maximum Likelihood)and OSIC(Ordered Successive Interference Cancellation) with compensation compared to a standard receiver with no compensation for IQ imbalance and proposed channel estimation scheme achieves the better performance improvement than conventional.

  • In this paper, a novel IQ modulator that precisely controls the magnitude and phase of input signals is proposed. The proposed IQ modulator consists of low phase deviation attenuators, a splitter, and a combiner. In order to overcome the phase deviation characteristics found in conventional attenuators, a novel phase compensation technique has been adopted and mathematically analyzed. Linear vector arrays along the center point with large magnitude output signal variations in a full $360^{\circ}$ phase control are achieved on a polar plane by the proposed IQ modulator.

  • In thesis we applied the short or open reflection type for IQ vector modulator The open or short type is operated even exception of other redundancy circuit. Generally IQ vector modulator uses MESFET in performing reflection open or short, then minus voltage which is having complex structure is required to operate MESFET via IQ signal. However BJT can be substituted for MESFET, BJT is improved characteristics like as cutoff frequency, electron mobility and so on. We used BJT in IQ vector modulator which is compatible with TTL level in I,Q digital signal, and attached AGC function. We got the result of operations within ${\pm}$ 1$^{\circ}$ phase and ${\pm}$ 0.6 dB amplitude Variation With full range of 20 dB and Variation of ${\pm}$ 6$^{\circ}$ Phase and ${\pm}$ 0.5 dB amplitude Versus full temperature range.

Joint Estimation and Compensation for Frequency Selective IQ Imbalance in OFDM Systems (OFDM 시스템에서의 주파수 선택적 IQ 불균형의 추정 및 보상)

  • Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) systems utilizing direct conversion receiver suffer from frequency selective (FS) and frequency independent (FI) phase and gain imbalances caused by imperfect local oscillator and low pass filter. In this paper, we analyze the impacts of the transmit/receive IQ imbalances on the system and propose the estimation and compensation schemes for those imbalances. The preamble signals coded by Alamouti scheme in the frequency domain could be used in the estimation of relatively large IQ imbalances with FS and FI characteristics and the estimation results are used for the compensation of distortions caused by the FI and FS IQ imbalances. The optimal maximum likelihood (ML) receiver or suboptimal ordered successive interference cancallation (OSIC) receiver utilizing the estimation results show symbol error rate (SER) performance improvement compared to zero-forcing (ZF) technique due to diversity gain inherent in the frequency domain IQ imbalances combined with the frequency selective channels.
