Design and Implementation of ONVIF Video Analytics Service for a Smart IP Network camera (Smart IP 네트워크 카메라의 비디오 내용 분석 서비스 설계 및 구현)

  • ONVIF is becoming a de factor standard specification for supporting interoperability among network video products, which also supports a specification for video analytics service. A smart IP network camera is an IP network supporting video analytics. In this paper, we present our efforts in integrating ONVIF Video Analytics Service into our currently developing smart IP network camera(SS IPNC; Soongsil Smart IP Network Camera). SSIPNC supports object detection, tracking, classification, and event detection with proprietary configuration protocol and meta data formats. SSIPNC is based on TI' IPNC ONVIF implementation which supports ONVI Core specification, and several ONVIF services such as device service, imaging service and media service, but not video analytics service.

No-reference Measurement of Blocking Artifacts to Assess the Quality of IP Based Video Service (IP 기반 비디오 서비스의 화질 측정을 위한 비참조 블록 열화 측정 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose a new method of blocky artifacts measurement for IP based video service. In order to assess the quality of IP based video service, we classify degradation into blocking artifacts by network error or by transmission error. in order to assess blocking artifacts based on No-reference, we estimate blocky artifacts from network errors and image compression by calculating amount of difference between target block and neighbor blocks and error concealment algorithm in a video receiver. To ensure accuracy of proposed method, we compare our result to MOS data using SSCQE method. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is better than a conventional method by around 1.3.

  • In this letter, we propose a new quality measurement method to identify the causes of video quality degradation for IP-based video services. This degradation mainly results from network performance issues and video compression. The proposed algorithm identifies the causes based on statistical feature values from blocky block distribution in degraded IP-based videos. We found that the sensitivity and specificity of the proposed algorithm are 93.63% and 91.99%, respectively, in comparison with real error types and subjective test data.

  • This paper used OPNET to simulate video streaming service a test IP network and MPLS network with the traffic shaping that have with CQ_ LLQ algorithm, LSP of fixed bandwidth, policy of limitation users and measures parameters such as delay, throughput, packet loss. To verify the performance of video streaming service in IP network and MPLS network, two scenario that have same topology and traffic source. One is the simulation for best-effort service in pure IP network. The other is the simulation for QoS-enabled service in MPLS Network. Based on simulation result, the MPLS network with CQ_ LLQ algorithm and fixed LSP show advantage of the video streaming service QoS, specially delay and packet loss

  • 3-Screen service means that one video contents is operated on 3 different terminals(smart-phone, IP-TV, internet PC) with same service browser. In this paper, we developed 3-Screen video service system based on imbedded web browser. We evaluated and analysed of developed 3-Screen service system through Agribusiness video service offering test environment on the LG U+ network. As a result of tests, it showed that 3-Screen video service was well performed in each 3-Screen service terminals. The result of this paper will be utilized in various application developments for the 3-Screen video service in the future.

  • The elevator system combines various convergence technologies with the development of ICT technology. Emergency call devices which are safety related devices is applied as an obligation of the elevator and those scope also varies. In this paper, we propose an integrated model that overcomes the limitations of existing voice emergency call devices and efficiently manages and manages video call based service structures in VoIP based on wired and wireless environments. This method effectively manages and operates various lift data and video records in the elevator between the manager, the server and the user. And also It is possible to secure the quality of video call in VoIP and cloud service environment and increase the reliability of safety management and enhance various service environment by creating an integrated structure utilizing various data and additional services in the elevator.

  • This paper describes a IPv6 trial service provided by LG DACOM and discusses about the output of trial service. MIC has urged public organizations to introduce IPv6 technology into their network. As one of propelling policies, MIC and NIA launched some IPv6 trial project. LG DACOM, MIC's agent in doing IPv6 trial project, has selected three public organizations in order to deploy IPv6 based VoIP trial service. KMA, KISITI and MND gave out their different service requirements. In achieve this project we developed IPv6 supported voice IP phone, video IP phone, media gateway and IP-PBX. Furthermore, two KMA provincial offices adopted trial IP phone as working phone and replaced legacy PBX with IP-PBX. At the same time, public organizations introduced IPv6 technology into their local networks.

  • Multimedia service based on interactivity, personalization, multiple channels and community distinguishes IPTV from incumbent TV. But data encoding/decoding time and image frame processing should be considered in digital TV versus analog device. Especially channel zapping time is one of the most important parameters for the service quality of IPTV. This paper proposes the mechanism for decreasing the channel zapping time with multiple decoder and image frame processing. We also implemented the multi-group video community service system using IP multicasting function supporting interactive learning service.

  • In this paper, we propose a scheme that applies to the VoIP application based on H.323 protocol to enhance the bandwidth efficiency. We multiplex the audio and video stream. In this scheme, audio frame is carried with video stream. And we applies not only multiplexing but also (in header compressing to the real audio/video stream to increase the bandwidth efficiency. With the multiplexing and RTP header compressing, we gain the bandwidth efficiency. In the finite network environment, We can assign bandwidth to other users who want to use other service. and other VoIP users. If we can apply the real time network situation to the our VoIP application, we can get more efficient performance.
