Background : Interleukin-18 (IL-18) is one of the principal inducers of interferon-${\gamma}$ (IFN-${\gamma}$) in lymphocytes. Materials and Methods : The effect of IL-18 on the expression of chemokine IP-10(CXCL10) mRNA in C57BL/6 mouse peritoneal macrophages was studied by using Northern blot analysis, enzyme linked immunosobent assay and electrophoretic mobility shift assay. Results : IL-18 was determined to exert no direct effect on the expression of IP-10(CXCL10) mRNA. However, IL-18 pretreatment was determined to play a cooperative role in the synergistic induction of LPS-induced IP-10(CXCL10) mRNA expression. The effect associated with IL-18 pretreatment with regard to the synergistic induction of LPS-induced IP-10 (CXCL10) mRNA expression was detected after 16 hr of IL-18 pretreatment, administered prior to LPS stimulation. The pattern of NF-${\kappa}B$ binding activity during IL-18 pretreatment with LPS stimulation was found to coincide with the expression of IP-10(CXCL10) mRNA. Conclusion : Although IL-18 alone exerts no direct effect on the expression of chemokine IP-10(CXCL10), a definite period of IL-18 pretreatment induces the synergistic expression of LPS-induced IP-10(CXCL10) mRNA. NF-${\kappa}B$ activation is a component of this synergistic effect of IL-18 pretreatment. These results provide useful information, which may facilitate the elucidation of the action mechanisms underlying IL-18 effect on the expression of IP-10(CXCL10) mRNA.

Packet processing speed of routers as well as transmission speed of physical links gives a great effect on IP packet transfer rate in Internet. The router forwards a packet after determining the next hop to the packet's destination. IP address lookup is a main design issue for high performance routers. In this paper, we propose a partitioned compressed-trie for speeding-up IP address lookup algorithms based on tie data structure by exploiting path compression. In the ,proposed scheme, IP prefixes are divided into several compressed-tries and lookup is performed on only one partitioned compressed-trie. Memory access time for IP address lookup is lessen due to compression technique and memory required for maintaining partition does not increased.

Rapid surge in date quantity lead to increase in storage demand from corporate. The existing SAN with fiber channel is being changed to IP-based SAN environment due to installment and maintenance cost. But the IP-based network still have some similar security problems as existing TCP/IP network. Also, for the security reasons of storage traffic, data are encrypted, but with the existing system, data larger than 10G can't be handled. To address security and speed issue, this paper proposes to a structure applied to IP SAN environment with Parallel Structure Word-based FSR (PS-WFSR) as hardware.

The non-ELR-containing CXC chemokines Mig and IP-10 have been shown to function as chemotactic cytokines for activated T lymphocytes. In this study, we examined the potential involvement of Mig and IP-10 in antimycobacterial response of mice immunized or infected with M. bovis BCG. The accumulation of Mig and IP-10 mRNA in resident peritoneal monocytes ($RPM{\Phi}$) was slightly reduced by stimulation with vBCG, and the degree was greater for 24 hr culture even though IFN-${\gamma}$ was added. Expression of Mig, IP-10, and IFN-${\gamma}$ in 24 hr delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) response was stronger in vBCG-immune mice than in the non-immune. The increase of DTH measured by foot-pad thickness appears to be clearly related to the levels of chemokines Mig and IP10 messages and those of IFN-${\gamma}$ and IL-12. Stimulation with vBCG for 2 days decreased or completely dropped the levels of Mig message in non-immune or immune splenocytes, respectively, whereas IP-10 message was slightly decreased in 2 days culture. Moreover, messages for IL-12 (p40) showed similar kinetics for Mig. The levels of Mig and IP-10 mRNA during the course of infection with BCG were not readily changed in lungs, livers, and spleens from BCG-infected mice. Although there was no obvious changes of Mig and IP-10 messages in the target organs during infection process, we found that the infection progressed over the first 3 wk before being contained by the emerging immune response suggested from detectable amount of IFN-${\gamma}$ mRNA around this time. In view of selectivity of chemokines Mig and IP-10 for activated T cells, these data suggest that chemokine Mig and IP-10, especially in collaboration with IL-12 and IFN-${\gamma}$, may playa role as T cell recruiters in immune response against mycobacterial infection.

IP-Internet Telephony Service has not vet been achieved that of operating an IP-PBX service and a consumer Internet telephone services using VoIP technologies. In this paper, i suggest that the technologies of the VoIP Secure Gateway have connecting and securing for IP-Internet Telephony Service which makes If telephony protocols, firewall VPN tunneling, using Application Level Gateway, connection of the VoIP Secure Gateway. I suggest of telecommunication technologies that are enables an enterprise If-PBX service to interoperate with a consumer IP telephony service through a firewall. Also, I have proposed the solutions of security problems which was the security for VoIP Secure Gateway.
This paper proposes an implementation of a hardware module for transmitting MPEG-2 TS data over the internet protocol (IP)-based network. This implementation consists of two modules; one is an encapsulation module which bridges between n TS packets, where $1\;{\leq}\;n\;{\leq}\;7$, and an IP packets, the other is a packet conversion module which extracts an DSM-CC PS packet from consecutive TS packets and then reconstructing an IP packet. So, these IP packets are carried over 150 megabits per second. Although overall work flow of the proposed DeMUX is based on the reference design of ALTERA, the DeMUX is enhanced by modifying it and performs more functions by adding a packet conversion module. The DeMUX is described by Verilog-HDL (hardware description language) and shows the faithful functionality and throughput through the simulation.
Interferon-${\gamma}$-inducible protein 10 (IP-10), also known as chemokine C-X-C motif ligand (CXCL) 10, is closely associated with antiviral immunity and the progression of chronic hepatitis B (CHB). However, the value of baseline serological and histological IP-10 expression levels in predicting the efficacy of the antiviral response to nucleoside/nucleotide analogues (NAs) is still unknown. In our research, intrahepatic and peripheral IP-10 expression levels were systemically examined before and after treatment with entecavir (ETV). Baseline serological and histological IP-10 expression levels were significantly increased in patients with CHB, particularly in patients with higher degrees of liver inflammation and liver fibrosis. Moreover, higher baseline intrahepatic IP-10 levels indicated better prognoses in patients with CHB after entecavir therapy. The baseline IP-10 level was also positively associated with several clinical parameters, including baseline levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA, and hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), and with the decrease in HBsAg levels after treatment. In addition, monocyte-derived IP-10 was expressed at higher levels in patients with CHB than in patients with liver cirrhosis (LC) and healthy controls (HC). According to the results of our in vitro experiments, IP-10 directly promoted hepatocyte apoptosis. Based on these findings, baseline serological and histological IP-10 levels might predict CHB severity and the decrease in HBsAg levels after entecavir therapy.

Wireless mesh networks (WMNs) have been increasingly applied in private and public networks during the last decade. In a different context, voice over IP (VoIP) has emerged as a new technology for making voice calls around the world over IP networks and is replacing traditional telecommunication systems. The popularity of the two technologies motivated the deployment of VoIP over WMNs. However, VoIP over WMNs suffers from inefficient bandwidth utilization because of two reasons: i) attaching 40-byte RTP/UDP/IP header to a small VoIP payload (e.g., 10 bytes) and ii) 841 μs delay overhead of each packet in WMNs. Among several solutions, VoIP packet multiplexing is the most prominent one. This technique combines several VoIP packets in one header. In this study, we will survey all the VoIP multiplexing methods over WMNs. This study provides a clear understanding of the VoIP bandwidth utilization problem over WMNs, discusses the general approaches in which packet multiplexing methods could be performed, provides a detailed study of present multiplexing techniques, shows the aspects that hinder the VoIP multiplexing methods, discusses the factors affected by VoIP multiplexing schemes, shows the merits and demerits of different multiplexing approaches, provides guidelines for designing a new improved multiplexing technique, and provides directions for future research. This study contributes by providing guidance for designing a suitable and robust method to multiplex VoIP packets over WMNs.

In this paper, Transmission performance over MANET(Mobile Ad-hoc Networks) under DDoS Intrusions is evaluated. Intrusion counterplan requirement, which have to be used for MANET under DDoS intrusions, is suggested through this evaluation. VoIP simulator based on NS-2 network simulator is used for performance measurement. MOS, network delay, packet loss rate and call connection rate is measured with this simulation. Finally, requirement of intrusion continuing time shorter then 10 seconds is suggested for VoIP service over MANETs under DDoS intrusions.

Recently VoIP has provided voice(both wired and wireless from IP-based) as well as the transmission of multimedia information. VoIP used All-IP type, Gateway type, mVoIP etc. Wired and wireless VoIP has security vulnerabilities that VoIP call control signals, illegal eavesdropping, service misuse attacks, denial of service attack, as well as wireless vulnerabilities etc. from WiFi Zone. Therefore, the analysis of security vulnerabilities in wired and wireless VoIP and hacking incidents on security measures for research and study is needed. In this paper, VoIP (All-IP type, and for Gateway type) for system and network scanning, and, IP Phone to get the information and analysis of the vulnerability. All-IP type and Gateway type discovered about the vulnerability of VoIP hacking attacks (Denial of Service attacks, VoIP spam attacks) is carried out. And that is a real VoIP system installed and operated in the field of security measures through research and analysis is proposed.
