Packet loss, jitter, and delay in the Internet are caused mainly by the shortage of network bandwidth. It is due to queuing and routing process in the intermediate nodes of the packet network. In the Internet whose bandwidth is changing very rapidly in time depending on the number of users and data traffic, controlling the peak transmission bit-rate of a VoIP. system depending on the channel condition could be very helpful for making use of the available network bandwidth. Adapting packet size to the channel condition can reduce packet loss to improve the speech quality. It has been shown in [1] that a VoIP system with an AMR speech codec provides better speech quality than VoIP systems with fixed rate speech codecs. With the adaptive codec mode assignment. algorithm proposed in [1], in this paper, we performed the voice transmission experiments using the wireless LAN through the real Internet environment. Experimental results are analyzed and discussed with our findings.

Many kinds of communication systems will be co-existed in the next generation communication environment. Location management will be one of the most important strategies in the future communication network. Whether the user gets the service in any kind of communication system, it is required to know the location of the user properly and manages this location information efficiently. In this paper, mobile IP and WCDMA systems are considered as next generation communication systems. We improve the performance of communication in heterogeneous networks adjusting the conventional region-based location management strategy in homogeneous network. This strategy can be adjusted dynamically to the communication system on the basis of packet-to-mobility ratio (PMR) in mobile IP system or call-to-mobility ratio (CMR) in WCDMA system, lots of different system parameters, and movement pattern of the user. This can be also based on the performance analysis with considering signaling cost and database access cost.

본 논문에서는 GPRS망으로 이동한 이동 ISP 가입자가 GPRS망을 접속하여 무선 인터넷 서비스를 받을 때 필요한 홈 ISP망의 동적 내 주소할당에 대한 문제점을 살펴보고 그 해결 방안으로 홈 ISP망 내 특수(specific) DHCP Relay를 개발하여 운영하는 방법을 제시했다. 실제 GPRS core network testbed와 ISP망을 구축하고 특수 DHCP Relay를 개발해서 GPRS망으로 이동한 이동 ISP 가입자에게 홈 ISP망의 동적 IP 주소 할당을 과정과 결과를 시뮬레이션을 통해 확인하였다.

LonWorks/IP 가상 디바이스 네트워크(VDN) 상의 전달지연은 실시간 분산제어 시스템의 성능과 안정성을 악화시킨다. LonWorks/IP VDN은 LonWorks 디바이스 네트워크와 IP( 데이터) 네트워크와의 통합네트워크이다. LonWorks/IP VDN 상에서의 서보제어를 수행할 경우 시간지연은 확률적인 특성을 강하게 나타낸다. 산업현장에 대한 예지보전을 위한 실시간 분산제어 환경에서 즉각적인 응답은 필수불가결한 요소이다. 그러므로 네트워킹 된 분산제어시스템의 안정성을 보장하고 성능을 개선하기 위해서는 시간에 따라 가변적인 불확실한 시간지연을 보상할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 출력 되먹임 루프에 적절한 필터와 외란관측기를 이용한 제어기를 제안한다. 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 제안된 제어기의 성능과 안정성이 Smith 예측기 기반의 내부모델제어기 (IMC)의 제어결과와 비교 제시된다. 제안된 제어기는 IMC 보다 안정성과 추종성능을 상당히 개선시킬 수 있으며 외란과 잡음에 강인한 특성을 갖는 것을 보인다. 그러므로 제안된 제어기는 가변적인 시간지연을 갖는 LonWorks/IP VDN 상에서 예지보전을 위한 실시간 분산제어에 매우 적합하다.

본 논문에서는 인터넷 기반 전송기술인 TCP/IP 네트워크의 한 분야인 AoIP(Audio over Internet Protocol)를 기반으로 한 음향전송시스템을 구현하기 위하여 최근 들어 연구하고 있는 다양한 음향전송 시스템들을 탐구하여 가장 효율적으로 구현이 가능한 전송방법을 채택하여 AoIP기반 음향전송시스템의 설계와 구현을 하였다. 구현된 시스템은 소규모의 구내 방송시스템을 비롯하여 대규모의 분산 네트워크가 필요한 다양한 프로페셔널 음향 시스템에 적용 할 수 있으며, 향후 다양한 분야에 응용하여 자동으로 음향신호를 전송하는 시스템으로의 확장 가능성을 제시하였다.

Web-based virtual machine/manufacturing system (VMS) utilizes Virtual Device Network (VDN.) VDN inevitably involves the implementation of Distributed Monitoring and Control Networks (DMCN). In general, one needs to integrate device (control) network and IP network to realize DMCN over IP network or internet, which can be viewed as a VDN. In this study, LonWorks networking technology is used fer device network and the transmission characteristics of LonWorks/IP-based VDN is investigated. A method to minimize the transmission delay in the LonWorks/IP networks is also suggested.

This study analyzed the offshore plant industry and related regulations such as ISO, IEC, and Norsok Standards to develop an integrated network management system (INMS) capable of both on-site and remote management and configuration of IP-based network equipment in offshore plants. The INMS was designed based on actual specifications and POS plans, and a plan of management was verified through an offshore plant engineering company. Various modules such as PAGA interface modules, CCTV, IP-PBX, and HF-radio communication modules were developed for system implementation. Protocol and data design and screen design were followed by framework development and introduction of the automatic satellite communication function.

이 연구는 정보유통시스템으로 컴퓨터통신망에서 파일저장 장치의 보안과 인증시스템으로 설계하고 연구하려는 것으로 컴퓨터 정보처리에 이용되고 활용되어야 할 암호화된 정보와 데이터 파일 저장장치에 대한 보안을 유지되도록 사용자 이용권한(access)을 시스템적 접근 문제로 해결하려는 인증네트워크 시스템으로서, 1회용 암호와 네트워크 IP Tracking을 이용한 인증시스템의 설계를 연구하였다.

본 논문은 TCP/IP 기반 지역 망 내에서 개인용 컴퓨터의 사용에 있어 인터넷 프로토콜의 주소 충돌 해결 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 현재 컴퓨터의 수는 계속해서 늘고 있지만 사용자는 IP 주소에 대한 지식이 없음으로 인해 고의나 실수로 자신의 것이 아닌 다른 사람의 IP 주소를 사용할 수 있고, 이로 인해 원래 사용자가 네트웍을 사용할 수 없게 된다. 본 논문은 사전에 지역 망 내의 관리 대상 컴퓨터들의 주소정보를 수집하여 현재 사용하는 주소 정보가 저장된 정보와 같은 지를 Web Browser를 통하여 검사하는 방법으로 IP 주소 충돌 검출 시스템설계를 제시하였다.
