  • This study examines the emotional undercurrents of individual investors. Earlier finance theory was based on the assumption that investors would act rationally. According to the findings, it is the investors' collective expectations and anxieties that have an impact on their investment fortunes. This necessitates a high level of emotional stability on the side of the investors. Investors must have a firm foundation in financial literacy to have the requisite level of emotional stability. This study aims to add to existing theory and practice by analyzing whether investors who have received business-related education are less emotional than those who have not. For the survey inquiry of individual investors, 'fear' and 'love' are considered among the emotional undercurrents of individual investors. The research is based on a survey of 875 individual investors in India, 342 of whom had a business background and the others have none. It has been discovered that no investor, regardless of their level of business education, is emotion-free. Investors with and without a business education display emotional stability in many behavioral aspects of fear and love to varying degrees.

  • In this study, the most suitable sampling methods for the bimodal mass distribution characteristics and individual particle analysis of atmospheric aerosols were investigated. Samples collected in Quartz, Teflon, and Nuclepore filters were analyzed for individual particles using scanning electron microscopy with an energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometer (SEM/EDS). Then, the pore diameter of the filter and the collection flow rate were determined using the theoretical collection efficiency calculation formula for two-stage separation sample collection of coarse and fine particles. The Nuclepore filter was found to be the most suitable filter for identifying the physical and chemical characteristics of atmospheric aerosols since it was able to separate the sample and count the different sized particles better than either Quartz or Teflon. Nuclepore filters with 8.0 ㎛ and 0.4 ㎛ pores were connected in series and exposed to a flow rate of 16.7 L/min for two-stage separation sampling. The results show that it is possible to separate and collect both coarse and fine particles. We expect that the proposed methodology will be used for future individual particle analysis of atmospheric aerosols and related research.

  • In recent times, STEM graduates are confronting a decline in employment rates influenced by economic, social, cultural, and policy-related factors. Career decisions are closely linked to education, college experiences, and university settings. To comprehend the reasons behind the decline in STEM employment, it is essential to explore the relationships among these factors. This study aims to comprehensively examine differences in career motivation and career exploration behavior among 2,393 STEM undergraduates in Korea. Additionally, factors affecting career motivation and career exploration behavior were investigated. The findings indicate significant differences in perceived career motivation and career exploration behavior based on individual backgrounds and university characteristics. And analyzing the data, 37.8% of career motivation is explained by contextual supports, career barriers, individual backgrounds (grade, GPA), university characteristics (major fields, location), field to enter after graduation, and timing of job preparation. For career exploration behavior, 30.1% is explained by contextual supports, career barriers, individual backgrounds (gender, grade, GPA), university characteristics (major field, location), field to enter after graduation, and timing of job preparation. Practical implications underscore the need for tailored educational and policy support, considering individual backgrounds and university characteristics, to effectively address challenges faced by STEM graduates in the evolving employment landscape.

  • Fields of domestic construction supervision are divided into architecture, electricity, information and communication and fire by the individual laws. Between each supervision are lack of relationship. So it bring about performance degradation, supervision fee increasing and dispute. The purpose of this basic research is to suggest the integration method of each supervision.

  • This hypothesis of this study was that individual risk variables (behavior problems) compounded by social risk variables (peer rejection) would place children at risk for victimization by peers. Subjects were 385 boys and girls in 3rd and 5th grade. Data were collected with questionnaires. As predicted, behavior problems (both internalizing and externalizing) were more strongly related to victimization when children were rejected by peers than when they were accepted. These results illustrate the principle that individual risk variables depend on social context.

  • This study examines the effects of information and communication technologies on individual performance. The literature has paid a considerable amount of attention to social influence as a determinant of individual behavior. We combine task-technology fit with concepts from adaptive structuration theory to specify social influence. In our model, we suggest that individuals should receive support from proper social construction to have additional performance improvement. Empirical data from 317 individuals across 43 teams in 10 companies is used to assess the theoretical model. Our theoretical model received support from the data.

  • Based on customer information and financing processes in capital market, we derived individual models by applying multi-layered perceptrons, MDA, and decision tree. Further, the results from the existing single models were compared with the results from the integrated model that was developed using genetic algorithm. This study contributes not only to verifying the existing individual models and but also to overcoming the limitations of the existing approaches. We have depended upon the approaches that compare individual models and search for the best-fit model. However, this study presents a methodology to build an integrated data mining model using genetic algorithm.

  • This paper examines individual and social strategies to form profitable cooperation networks. These two types of strategies measure network stability and efficiency that may not meet in a single network. We apply restrictions on knowledge flows (R&D spillovers) and links formation to integrate these benefits into structures that ensure high outcomes for both strategies. The results suggest that linking the spillovers to the firms' positions and restricting cooperation contribute to reducing the conflict between the individual and social strategies in the development of cooperative networks.

  • Arrangement of individual atoms and molecules with atomic precision and understanding the resulting properties at the molecular level are ultimate goals of chemistry, biology, and materials science. For the past three decades, scanning probe microscopy has made strides towards these goals through the direct observation of individual atoms and molecules, enabling the discovery of new and unexpected phenomena. This talk will discuss the origin of forces governing motion of small organic molecules and their extended self-assembly into two-dimensional surface structures by direct observation of individual molecules using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM).
