A Robotcar-based Proof of Concept Model System for Dilemma Zone Decision Support Service (딜레마구간 의사결정 지원 서비스를 위한 로봇카 기반의 개념검증 모형 시스템)

  • Recently, research activities to develop services for providing safety information to the drivers in fast moving vehicles based on various wireless network technologies such as DSRC (Dedicated Short Range Communication), IEEE 802.11p WAVE (Wireless Access for Vehicular Environment) are widely being carried out. This paper presents a proof-of-concept model based on a robot-car for Dilemma Zone Decision Assistant Service using the wireless LAN technology. The proposed model system consists of a robot-car based on an embedded Linux OS equipped with a WiFi interface and an on-board unit emulator, an Android-based remote controller to model a human driver interface, a laptop computer to run a model traffic signal controller and signal lights, and a WiFi access point to model a road-side unit.

  • 국내외적으로 지능형 차량 및 텔레매틱스/ITS 연구 개발을 통해서 차량에 IT 기술 접목을 위한 노력을 가속화하고 있다. 우리나라의 경우 산업자원부가 미래 10대 전략품목으로 자동차 부분에서 지능형 차량을 선정하였으며, 정보통신부는 u-IT839의 핵심서비스로 텔레매틱스/ITS 서비스를 추진하고 있다. EU는 i2010 Flagship에서 intelligentcar initiative 프로젝트를 통해 지능형 차량 및 보안을 위한 전략 수립과 세부과제를 수행하고 있다. 또한, IEEE 802.11p/P1609(WAVE)와 ISO TC204/WG16CALM에서는 차량 통신 보안 및 서비스에 대해서 고려하고 있다. 현재 지능형 차량과 관련하여서는 다양한 사업 모델이 제시되고 있으며, 자동차 업계의 BM과 이동통신 업계의 AM이 동반 성장하고 있다. 본 기고문은 지능형 차량 및 텔레매틱스/ITS와 관련한 보안 기술 동향을 살펴본다.

차량통신 국제 표준화 동향

  • 산업화, 도시화가 이루어지면서 자동차가 현대인의 필수품으로 자리잡았다. 그러나 차량 소유가 증가함에 따라 도로를 포함한 사회 인프라 구축에 한계를 드러내고 있으며, 이로 인한 교통 혼잡 등의 문제가 사회적으로 대두되고 있다. 또한 기계 장치 및 센서 디바이스 등 기존의 자차의 정보만을 이용한 차량 안전 서비스에서 한계를 드러내고 있다. 따라서 주변 차량 정보를 활용한 교통 및 안전 서비스를 개발하기 위해서는 차량 통신기술이 필수적이다. 이를 위한 국제적인 표준화 활동이 활발히 진행되고 있으며, 대표적인 국제단체로 ISO와 IEEE가 있다. 이곳에서 각각 CALM(Communications Access for Land Mobiles) 및 WAVE(Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments) 통신 기술에 대한 표준이 제정되고 있으며, 다양한 프로젝트를 통해 관련 기술과 서비스가 제시되고 검증되고 있다. 따라서 차량 통신을 활용한 ITS(Intelligent Transport System) 분야의 새로운 시장확대와 경제적 효과를 선점하기 위해서는 이러한 표준동향을 주시하고 참여할 필요가 있다. 본고에서는 차량 통신에 대한 최신 국제 표준화 현황 및 민간 표준화 기구에 대해 살펴보고 전망을 제시한다.

A High Performance Three-Phase Telecom Supply Incorporating a HF Switched Mode Rectifier with a Phase Shifted PWM Controller

  • Telecom supplies need to conform to low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and high Power Factor (PF) as per IEC 61000-3-2 and IEEE 519-1992 standards. These high rating power supplies use a three phase utility in which low THD and high PF are realized via various passive and active wave shaping schemes. In this paper, a new design for three phase telecom power supplies is presented with circuit parameter values optimized for high performance in terms of a low THD, high PF, low ripple and high line and load regulation using a suitable combination of various strategies. The performance of the power supply is validated by extensive simulations.

  • In this paper, a transceiver using waveguide modules for 60 GHz band wireless LAN is implemented and analyzed. The characteristics of millimeter-wave transmitter are 0 dbm output power, 10.5 dB gain and 38 dBc spurious emition. The receiver's are 3.16 dB noise figure, 8.8 dB gain, -86dBm sensitivity. Maximum communication distance is more than loom. Intermediate frequency comply with IEEE 802.11b. The transfer of multimedia files is performed. The transceiver's data rate can vary with intermediate frequency bandwidth and the transceiver is designed more than 200 Mbps.

  • In this study, the shielding properties of concrete with conductive materials as shielding material for electromagne- tic pulse(EMP) within 10kHz~18GHz were investigated. The shielding effectiveness of specimens were compared with different entrained materials. The shielding effectiveness were determined according to MIL-STD-188-125-1, IEEE-STD-299 at 28 days of concrete curing. The results of shielding effectiveness did not meet the criteria(80dB) severely.

  • This paper discussed for hal·monic analysis in AC electric arc furnace. The arc furnace system is designed by a harmonic current source with considering voltage stabilizer. In this paper, an adequate example is shown for the IEEE harmonic limits when a tuned filter is installed. The simulation established by HI_WAVE of SKM.

  • We herein analyze and study the shielding effectiveness characteristic of an open conveyor-belt-type microwave dryer that is widely used in industry. In particular, the electromagnetic wave leakage problem of the open-type conveyor belt dryer using a general-purpose 2.45-GHz magnetron was improved by applying the corrugated rectangular waveguide. We conducted the electromagnetic simulation of the optimal shielding effectiveness characteristic with regard to the proposed waveguide structure to analyze the attenuation characteristics of the corrugated rectangular waveguide. To verify the shielding effectiveness characteristic of the fabricated corrugated rectangular waveguide by IEEE standard 299, we achieved the shielding effectiveness of more than 30 dB in the practical microwave dryer with the proposed corrugated rectangular waveguide.

  • Wireless LAN(wireless Local Area Network) is constructed network environment by radio in indoors or outdoors environment and that to use electric wave or light instead of wire to client such as PC(Personal Computer), notebook, PDA in hub(Hub) in technological side. Now, among IEEE 802.11 WG(Working Group), there is TGf(Task Group F) that develop standard protocol between AP's(Access Point). In this group, proposed IAPP(Inter Access Point Protocol) to secure interoperability between AP producing in different manufacturer, this offers seamless connectivity between STA by sharing Security Context information or Layer 2 forwarding information between AP without passing through re-authentication process when STAs(Station) move by protocol to secure mobility between AP that differ in equal serve network. In this paper, I wish to suggest method that change avenue of communication of message to block information leakage that can occur at security message or WEP Key transmission between above AP, and uses public key to offer wireless area security little more.

  • Recently, wireless communication systems have been developed and the circuits which operate with the broad-band for multiband uses were introduced. However, broad-band circuits have problems that inevitably increase the size. Dual-band circuit operates only two frequency, therefore, it will be able to miniaturize through unnecessary decreased elements. The Wilkinson power divider is the one of the most commonly used components in wireless communication system for power division. Nowaday, the Wilkinson power divider is also demanded dual-band. In this paper, I propose miniaturized dual-band Wilkinson power divider operating at 2.45 GHz and 5.2 GHz for IEEE 802.11n standard. Proposed dual-band Wilkinson power divider is used in parallel stub line. The design is accomplished by transforming the electrical length and impedance of the quarter wave sections of the conventional Wilkinson power divider into dual band ${\pi}$-shaped sections.
