An Ontology Population Model based on ISO/IEC 11179 (ISO/IEC 11179 기반의 온톨로지 확장 모델)

  • This paper proposes an ontology population model based on ISO/IEC 11179. Much research has recently been done on harmonizing Web 2.0 and the Semantic Web, and the harmonization is defined as Web 3.0. The most important issues for realizing Web 3.0 include defining ontology schemas and populating instances for ontologies. To resolve the issue, Web ontology schemas should be precisely defined, and a method for populating Web ontology from Web resources should be developed. This paper proposes a Web ontology population model based on ISO/IEC 11179 - Metadata Registry (MDR), which is the international standard, developed to manage and use common standard concepts.

  • This paper describes ISO/IEC TR 24029-1, an international standard to evaluate the performance of artificial intelligence systems. ISO/IEC TR 24029-1 defines the performance measures of artificial intelligence systems in two categories, i.e. interpolation and classificiation. Performance measures in the interpolation categories mean how much the predicted values of the artificial intelligence system is close to the real values. Performance measures in the classification categories mean how much the predicted classes of the artificial intelligence system is equal to the real classes. Based on these performance measures, performance of artificial intelligence systems can be evaluated and performance of different artificial intelligence systems can be compared.

  • Fieldbus is the real-time communication network for process control and manufacturing automation systems. IEC/ISA fieldbus was proposed as an international standard of fieldbus network. This protocol is operated on the basis of token-passing and scheduling mechanism. In this paper, we analyze the performance characteristics of the 1996 version of IEC/ISA fieldbus systems.

  • This paper analyzes how to calculate the three phase short-circuit currents for ac electrical system and select the high & low voltage circuit breaker based on IEC60609, IEC60056 and IEC60947-2 standards. We proposed the multiplying factor considering system time constant and circuit breaker rating to select circuit breaker accurately.

  • Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS) introduces a new standard for test and calibration laboratories to operate management system and to produce valid results in accordance with the requirements of KS Q ISO/IEC 17025. The standard is based on the national standard law for the accreditation of test, inspection and calibration laboratories. International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) has recently established its new criteria. The accredited test and calibration laboratories should complete the transition of their management system by November 2020 following KS Q ISO/IEC 17025:2017. A total of 899 of test, inspection and calibration laboratories in Korea are influenced by the transition policy. This paper summarized general requirements for a competence of laboratory management system.

  • The substation automation is a system to remote-monitor and control electric power flow. And in line with electrification of railway, an interest in electric railway substation automation is increasing. IEC standardized IEC 61850, IEC 61968 and IEC 61970 communication protocol for the telecommunication standardization of the electric power automation industry. The recent SCADA systems in managed electric railway substations are have the problem about the compatibility with the products which fit to the international standard specification afterward. In this paper, the model of electric railway substation automation based on IEC 61850 and IEC 61970 is presented. And the method supporting the compatibility between the equipment is proposed.

Design and Implementation of IEC 61162-4 based TLI Protocol for e-Navigation on Ship (선박의 통합정보처리를 위한 IEC 61162-4 기반 TLI 프로토콜 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, we propose a transmission algorithm of the TLI protocol of the IEC 61162-4 standard to perform the e-Navigation on ship, and we design and implement the TLI protocol according to the proposed algorithm. The implemented protocol is a TCP/IP based protocol, and is a network protocol with the MAU and LNA components proposed in the IEC 61162-4 standard. In addition, it makes a data transmission over the network architecture based on client/server network model. In the implemented protocol, there are a communication between the MAU and the LNA in one host, and also a communication between the LNA and the LNA in each other hosts. In order to provide a variety of service in a host, every client host has a LNA and multiple MAUs. According to the standard specification and the proposed transmission algorithm, we designed and implemented the TLI protocol using object-oriented mechanism. We carried out the experiment under a simple network model similar to real ship environment, and confirmed that it successfully transmits and receives data between the hosts.

  • More than 25% of software copyright evaluations commissioned to the Korea Copyright Commission are software completeness-defective evaluations. Most of the existing software completeness-defective evaluation cases were made to ensure that the requirements contained in the contract or customer's desired requirements were implemented and able to run, limited to the functionality of the software. This paper proposes a more systematic and reasonable maturity-correction technique to meet software completeness definitions. The ISO / IEC 9241.10 standard is a design standard for improving software quality. The ISO / IEC 9241.10 standard specifies seven items that must be complied with and requires functional integrity for work and operational integrity for work efficiency. The software completeness-defective methodology presented in this paper complements the existing function's implementation-functioning methodology with completeness evaluation on the quality of software.

  • A role of Distribution Automation System(DAS) is required to be changed from observing and control to complex and various new system including functions which monitoring, control, prediction, operation and management of EMS type according to be gradually Smart Grid of distribution operation system for development of further power system industrial. IEC(International Electrotechnical Commission) published communication standards which interface and data model of distribution operation system to IEC 61968 and of host system like EMS(Energy Management System) to IEC 61970. So far, each standards are emphasizing themselves, but if they are applied by designed integration of the standards, it could be more efficiency system. So, in this paper, integration application of IEC standards and structure of further distribution operation system to use them are proposed by gradually increasing importance of communication protocols, functions and roles in further distribution management system considering Smart Grid.
