Relevance of Outsourcing S/W Process Quality and Product Quality with IT Adoption Factors (IT 도입요소를 고려한 외주 S/W 프로세스품질과 제품품질)

  • Due to the deterioration of the business environment, many companies become more interested in IT adoption to strengthen their internal competence. The recent expansion of the ERP adoption in the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can be interpreted as an example for this. However there are still a number of questions over the outsourcing effectiveness and its performance of IT adoption by characteristics of SMEs. This study aims to investigate the relationship between the software process quality and the product quality, and additionally the moderating effect of IT adoption factors, from the case of SMEs' ERP adoption by the outsourcing. For this purpose, the empirical analysis through the structural equation model has been carried out, based on the software quality model defined in ISO/IEC 15504 and ISO/IEC 9126. The result of analysis shows that the acquisition process quality can affect the product quality characteristics, currently applied in the national software quality certification, and this supports the practical usefulness of the ISO standard of software engineering. But another result shows that there is little moderating effect by IT adoption factors, in contrast to the expectation, and this can be explained due to the inappropriate measurement and the data constraint such as short duration-time of IT adoption. These can be used as an informative reference for continuing studies of the quality model application and the effect of IT adoption factors in SMEs.

  • According to the evolving of IT technologies, the amount of data we are facing increasing exponentially. Thus, the technique for managing and analyzing these vast data that has emerged is a distributed processing system of big data. A quality evaluation for the existing distributed processing systems has been proceeded by the structured data environment. Thus, if we apply this to the evaluation of distributed processing systems of big data which has to focus on the analysis of the unstructured data, a precise quality assessment cannot be made. Therefore, a study of the quality evaluation model for the distributed processing systems is needed, which considers the environment of the analysis of big data. In this paper, we propose a new quality evaluation model by deriving the quality evaluation elements based on the ISO/IEC9126 which is the international standard on software quality, and defining metrics for validating the elements.

  • This paper is thing for a quantitive quality evaluation in national Defense Human Resource Management Information S/W system development. Apply a quantitive quality evaluation way to be based on an international standard to admonish at ISO/IEC 9126. Proposed 6 basis of count, and set up sub 27 items detailed functionality, reliability, use anger, efficiency, maintenance anger, a transplant result, and inspection of quality table wrote the Matrix measured S/W quality to a chart. Studied a quantitive evaluation plan of a Defense Human Resource Management Information S/W system to see weight by the priority order that reflected a characteristic of a national defense business to a Purpose of a subject user, and Presented. It is 80% in quantitive quality evaluation application satisfied under 8, Very Satisfied 7(87.5%) Satisfied 1(12.5%) of Defense Human Resource Managers and judgment worked as marked so that satisfaction of reliability and a user regarding functionality was high and there will be contribute to an elevation of defense capabilities as analyze efficient national defense S/W use and effect.

  • Recently, International Maritime Organization has been developing e-navigation implementation strategy plan, which is focused on various services for vessel safety navigation. Then, different kinds of software will be developed in maritime area and with this, the quality issues are to be expected becoming more important. In this paper, we adopt software refactoring techniques to reduce the complexity of structure on source code level. It makes software program more effective to understand and modify, without any change of outward behavior. The existing AIS broadcast server program is used as an example for our trial, and calculating coupling and cohesion metric are introduced to analyze the refactoring effect, taking account of the maintainability of IEC/ISO9126 software quality standards.

  • The global warming has been recognized as a serious problem. To solve this problem, the country of all the world have conducted techniques such as energy saving and reduction of greenhouse gas. The 30% of total energy is being consumed by buildings domestically and BAS/BEMS are being operated for the management of building energy. But, BEMS is unsatisfactory condition to manage the energy efficiently. In this study, We investigate real application on Chamsaem elementary school as a target buildings and develop 3D Web Browser platform. The spatial information of target buildings is described with used BIM and the energy information is presented for facilities operation and electricity consumption in floor and facility. We perform the quantitative evaluation based on ISO/IEC 9126 and operate this system for two months. in result, energy decreased by about 16%. We expect that the proposed 3D Web Browser system will bring operating efficiency improvement of the current BEMS.

The research which it sees it leads and it induces it is quantitative/that there is a possibility of being sufficient it sees the quality increase of Middleware software and the demand which is qualitative.

  • Conventional middleware is software providing services between clients and servers efficiently, but it is not applicable to RFID systems because of low consistency due to the absence of context awareness function, and problems in the management of meaning, security system, etc. Accordingly, we need a quality selection process and a quality evaluation method for selecting RFID middleware based on new criteria. This Paper proposed a new selection process based on international standard ISO/IEC 14598, and extracted and selected optimal quality factors through the proposed process. The selected quality factors were mapped to the quality characteristics of standard quality model ISO/IEC 9126, and to quality factors of RFID middleware of SUN, Microsoft, EPCglobal, IBM, etc. The results of these works showed that the quality factors extracted and selected through the proposed process were fair and adequate for evaluating the quality of RFID middleware.

  • Recently, software quality evaluation based on ISO/IEC 9126 and ISO/IEC 14598 has been widely accepted in various areas. However, these standards for software quality do not provide practical guidelines to apply the quality model and the evaluation process of software product=5. And the qualify management in most software projects has been conducted by managing defects without applying the standards for software qualify. Thus, we present a quantitative quality evaluation approach of artifacts in the Component Based Development (CBD). Particularly, our evaluation approach allows most of the standard evaluation process and adopts a quantitative quality model which uses the weights of quality characteristics obtained through carefully selected questionnaires for stakeholder and Analytic Hierarchical Process(AHP). Moreover, we have also examined the proposed evaluation approach with applying the checklists for the artifacts of the CBD to a small-scale software project. As a result, we believe that the proposed approach will be helpful for acquiring the high quality software.

At this time, it's inspired an evaluation and measurement of software quality to have within industrial equipment, and it's forming the research and development by the inside and outside of the country. For this, it's constructed a valuation metric to be based on ISO/IEC 12119, the International Standard for general the terms desired of quality of software and ISO/IEC 9126-2, the International Standard of the terms valuation of qualify for evaluation and measure, and for this accomplishment, It has been designed and developed industrial software international standard compatible approval system which approve a quality based on quality test result of industrial software using the ISO/IEC 14598-6 that international standard for organization of evaluation module.

  • Educational games offer an opportunity to engage and inspire students to take an interest in every subject material in school. The "fun" obtain when playing games become a trigger for the use of games in learning. However, there are doubts whether the players actually learn while they are having fun. Vidyanusa is an Online Mathematics Education Game being developed by Crayonpedia Education Ecosystem in Indonesia. The learning goal of Vidyanusa is to engage junior high school students in learning mathematics. In this paper, we design the Vidyanusa game material Functions and Relations by using Balanced Design Approach. This approach has three models in succession; the Content Model outlines the purpose of the game, the Task Model maps out the mission, and the Evidence Model outlines student measurement. This paper will then discusses the quality of games produced in term of Usability factor for effective results and objective. The measurement of the game was carried out based on International Standard ISO/IEC 9126-1 FDIS about Software Quality Product.
