Major developed countries are seriously considering smart factories to increase their manufacturing competitiveness. Smart factory is a customized factory that incorporates ICT in the entire process from product planning to design, distribution and sales. This can reduce production costs and respond flexibly to the consumer market. The smart factory converts physical signals into digital signals, connects machines, parts, factories, manufacturing processes, people, and supply chain partners in the factory to each other, and uses the collected data to enable the smart factory platform to operate intelligently. Enhancing personalized value is the key. Therefore, it can be said that the success or failure of a smart factory depends on whether big data is secured and utilized. Standardized communication and collaboration are required to smoothly acquire big data inside and outside the factory in the smart factory, and the use of big data can be maximized through big data analysis. This study examines big data analysis and standardization in smart factory. Manufacturing innovation by country, smart factory construction framework, smart factory implementation key elements, big data analysis and visualization, etc. will be reviewed first. Through this, we propose services such as big data infrastructure construction process, big data platform components, big data modeling, big data quality management components, big data standardization, and big data implementation consulting that can be suggested when building big data infrastructure in smart factories. It is expected that this proposal can be a guide for building big data infrastructure for companies that want to introduce a smart factory.
The global trade environment is rapidly changing. The spread of COVID-19 promotes digitalization, and online transactions are becoming the new normal. Currently, Korea is actively introducing information and communication technology (ICT) that uses the internet of things (IoT) in relation to agriculture. However, few studies have analyzed the impact of digitalization on trade in the agricultural sector. Thus, the purpose of this study is to examine how the introduction of digital technology can affect the economy and trade of Korea. In this study, we estimate the impact of introducing digital technologies using the computable general equilibrium (CGE) model. The results of this analysis indicate that the GDP could increase by 3.82% to 10.53%. Also, agricultural production and trade according to the model will significantly increase to 8.67% and 5.72%, respectively, through a productivity increase from Blockchain, IoT, and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, despite logistics inefficiencies. Although the effects of digitalization could be significant, farmers are still struggling to introduce digital technologies, stemming from the fact that government support systems are concentrated in only a few sub-sectors. In this regard, support in this area must be expanded and diversified according to the current environment of agriculture in Korea.

In this paper, by applying LTCC substrate, the library of the passive elements is implemented. And it can be used in 24 GHz circuits. Depending on how to use it to the circuit, it is required large value by designing the basic structures such as electrode capacitor and spiral inductor. However they are not available in high-frequency domain, because their SRF(Self-Resonant Frequency) is lower than the frequency of 24-GHz. By solving the limit, this paper devised passive elements classified for the DC and the high-frequency domain. The basic structure is suitable for low frequency under 1~2 GHz like DC. The microstrip λ/8 length stub structure is proposed to use for high-frequency like 24-GHz. The open and short stub structure operate as a capacitor and inductor respectively, also they have their impedances. Through their impedances, we can extract the value with the impedance-related equation. In this paper, the proposed passive elements are produced with the permittivity 7.5 LTCC substrate, the basic structure which are available in the DC constituted a library of capacitance of 2.35 to 30.44 pF and inductance of 0.75 to 5.45 nH, measured respectively. The stub structure available in the high-frequency domain were built libraries of capacitance of 0.44 to 2.89 pF and inductance of 0.71 to 1.56 nH, calculated respectively. The measurements have proven how to diversify value, so libraries can be built more variously. It will be an alternative to the passive elements that it is possible to integrate with the operation circuit of radar module for the frequency 24-GHz.

In this paper, by applying LCP substrate, the capacitor and inductor are implemented with a variety of value that can be used in 35 GHz circuits. Depending on how to apply it to the circuit, it is required high value by designing the basic structures such as electrode capacitor and spiral inductor. However they are not available in high-frequency domain, because their SRF(Self-Resonant Frequency) is lower than the frequency of 35-GHz. The basic structure is suitable for DC and microstrip λ/8 length stub structure can be used for high-frequency. The open and short stub structure operate as a capacitor and inductor respectively in the frequency of 35 GHz. If their impedance is known, it is possible to extract the value through the impedance-related equation. By producing with the permittivity 2.9 LCP substrate, the basic structure which are available in the DC constituted a library of capacitance of 1.12 to 13.9 pF and inductance of 0.96 to 4.69 nH, measured respectively. The stub structure available in the high-frequency domain were built libraries of capacitance of 0.07 to 2.88 pF and inductance of 0.34 to 1.27 nH, calculated respectively. The measurements have proven how to diversify value, so libraries can be built more variously. It is possible to integrate with the operation circuit of TRM(Transmit-Receive Module) for the frequency 35-GHz, it will be an alternative to the passive devices that can be properly utilized in the circuit.

Recently, the on-board equipments of vessels are getting diversifications with high technologies. With changing the trends, the shipboard network is turning to the light-weight ethernet architecture for integrated data management. For that necessity, this paper covers a development of the gateway system which gathers and processes the measured analog or NMEA data from loaded equipments to convert the messages based on IEC 61162-450 (standard for light-weight ethernet network of ships) in engine parts of small vessel. To do this, we analyzed the requirements for standardization of ship's equipments and related studies. To solve the problems of existing equipments, we defined the additional data formats (sentence formatter), developed the gateway system, and verified the utility of the developed system. Consequently, we established an interfacing framework for management and application of the generated data based on the ethernet in vessel.
The aim of this paper is to evaluate policy impact of Inno-biz verification and Venture verification, especially focusing on the complementarity effect according to the overlapped support in Korean ICT industry. Alongside the implementation of various government innovation policies, discussions regarding evaluations of such policies have been consistently undertaken in economics, because it is very important to evaluate whether public policies have played a proper role. However, one of the distinguished point of this research from previous studies is that this paper not only includes evaluations of a single policy, but also the discussion about interaction between different innovation policies. The main result of this paper is that, in the case of overlapping homogeneous policies such as Inno-biz and venture verification, the complementarity effect is negative. Compared with previous studies, the uniqueness of this research is as follows. First, deviating from the view of previous studies that focused on the evaluation of a single policy, this paper has considered interactions and the complementarity effect of innovation policy through "policy mix," an economic term. Second, based on this concept, the paper suggests an analysis framework for the evaluation of interactions and the complementarity effect of innovation policy.
The Headquarters for Earthquake Research Promotion (HERP) represents the upper-most level of Japan's earthquake disaster prevention governance. Its policy committee establishes the national earthquake investigation research promotion plan. The earthquake investigation committee of HERP collects survey geo-data and evaluates the research results of each earthquake disaster prevention agency. The establishment of an earthquake-related geo-resilience research strategy is both necessary and desirable for Korea. The concept of geo-resilience entails the ability to improve disaster resilience through the application of research results and the convergence of geoscience with science and technology (S&T) including the humanities and social sciences. The achievement of geo-resilience requires a national long-term roadmap and strategy for earthquake prediction research, the development of earthquake disaster prediction and prevention technology, Geo-ICT convergence technology development, implementation of a geocyber physics system (Geo-CPS), the use of geo-mimetics, and geoscientific R&D as it relates to local communities. Through such efforts, the national research institutes of Korea will be able to develop earthquake prediction capacities in relevant fields, reinforce proactive response capabilities, enhance community-level confidence in geodata and its research results, foster next-generation geoscientific manpower, and expand geoscientific infrastructure.
