Synthesis and in vitro Assay of New Triazole Linked Decursinol Derivatives Showing Inhibitory Activity against Cholinesterase for Alzheimer’s Disease Therapeutics

  • With the goal of developing Alzheimer’s disease therapeutics, we have designed and synthesized new triazole linked decursinol derivatives having potency inhibitory activities against cholinesterase [acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BuChE)]. Since inhibition of cholinesterase (ChE) is still considered to be one of the most effective targets to treat AD patients, many new classes of ChE inhibitors have been synthesized. In an effort of identifying new type of cholinergic drug, decursinol derivatives 11-17 have been synthesized between decursinol and other biological interesting compounds such as lipoic acid, polyphenols, etc by using the click reaction and then evaluated their biological activities. Compound 12 (IC50 = 5.89 ± 0.31 mM against BuChE) showed more effective inhibitory activity against BuChE than galantamine (IC50 = 9.4 ± 2.5 mM). Decursinol derivatives can be considered a new class inhibitor for BuChE and can be applied to be a novel drug candidate to treat AD patients.

  • 최근 정보통신 국제표준을 세계 시장을 선점하기 위한 필수적인 전략으로 인식하여 선진 각국 및 기업 간의 국제표준화 경쟁이 심화되고 있다. 또한 정보통신 기술의 융 복합화가 통신과 방송의 융합은 물론이고 타 산업과 정보통신 기술 간의 융합으로 새로운 영역의 기술 분야가 대두되고 있으며, 이는 표준화의 중요성 및 영역의 확대를 가져오고 있다. 따라서 21세기 스마트 정보사회에서 우리나라가 세계 정보통신 시장에서 주도적인 위치를 확보하기 위해서는 정보통신시장을 주도할 미래핵심 기술에 대한 국제 표준화를 추진할 수 있는 정보통신 표준화 전략의 수립 및 체계적인 추진이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 정보통신 동향 및 표준화 환경을 분석하여 향후 바람직한 표준화 추진 전략을 모색하고자 한다.

  • We designed and fabricated microstrip line fed QMSAs(Quarter-Wavelength Microstrip Antenna) for 850〔MHz〕 band on the CGP-500 Copper-clad Laminates substrate (CHUKOH company) with $\varepsilon$$_{r}$=2.6, H=1.6〔mm〕( $\pm$0.08), where the width of the radiation patch is identical with that of the ground plane. The resonant frequencies and the return losses were measured by reducing the PSW(Partially Shorted Width) to 0〔mm〕, step by step, when the microstrip line width was 1.47〔mm〕, 2.93〔mm〕and 4.4〔mm〕separately. As a result, a good characterized antenna with a 11% reduced resonant length and a return loss -29.44〔㏈〕 was obtained when the total PSW was in the range of 70% of radiated patch width, compared to the conventional QMSA.A.

초정밀 박육 플라스틱 제품 성형기술- II. 냉간 절단 공정 활용 사이드 게이트 제거기술 (Injection Molding Technology for Thin Wall Plastic Part - II. Side Gate Removal Technology Using Cold Press Cutting Process)

  • In the semiconductor industry the memory and chip were developed to high density memory and high performance chip, so circuit design was also high integrated and the test bed was needed to be thin and fine pitch socket. LGA(Land Grid Array) IC socket with thin wall thickness was designed to satisfy this requirement. The LGA IC socket plastic part was manufacture by injection molding process, it was needed accuracy, stiffness and suit resin with high flowability. After injection molding process the side gates were needed to remove for further assembly process. ln this study, the cold press cutting process was applied to remove the gates. For design of punch and die, the cold press cutting analysis was implemented by$DEFORM-2D^{TM}$ ln consideration of the simulation results, an adequate punch and die was designed and made for the cutting unit. In order to verify the performance of cutting process, the roughness of cutting section of the part was measured and was satisfied in requirement.

높은 역률을 가지는 단순 구조 LED 구동 전력컨버터 (Simple Structure LED-Driving Power Converter with High Power Factor)

  • 본 논문에서는 높은 역률을 가지는 단순 구조 LED 구동 직류 전력컨버터를 제안한다. 제안한 전력컨버터는 PFC 부스트 컨버터와 전통적인 플라이백 컨버터를 오직 하나의 전력변환 회로로 병합함으로써 LED 구동 전력컨버터의 구조를 단순화한다. 그리하여 제안한 컨버터는 오직 하나의 PWM 제어기 IC를 이용하여 제어되고 높은 역률과 정출력 전압/전류 및 제작비용의 효율성을 달성한다. 따라서 제안한 컨버터는 LED 조명시스템의 산업 생산과 이용에 적합하다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 컨버터의 동작분석과 설계예시를 간단하게 설명한다. 또한 설계된 회로파라미터들에 근거하여 제작된 프로토타입의 실험결과를 통하여 제안한 컨버터의 동작특성을 입증한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 각종 산업 현장의 라인에 긴급 정지 장치로 병설되는 풀 코드 스위치의 동작위치를 판별하는 시스템에 대하여 다룬다. 특히, 된 논문에서는 전력선 통신 기술을 사용하여 복잡한 케이블 포설 없이도 기존의 2선만을 사용하여 동작된 풀 코드 스위치의 위치를 인식하는 방법을 제시한다. 또한 전력선 통신 IC의 제어 기능을 사용하여 스위치 제어 인식장치에서 각 스위치를 리셋하는 신호를 전송할 수 있도록 구성한다. 끝으로, 논문에서는 제안된 전력선 방식의 풀 코드 스위치 동작위치 인식장치를 제작하고 전력선을 통하여 전달된 신호 및 반응시간 관찰함으로써 풀 코드 스위치의 위치인식 시스템으로 실제로 적용이 가능함을 확인하였다.

Machine Learning Based Variation Modeling and Optimization for 3D ICs

  • Three-dimensional integrated circuits (3D ICs) experience die-to-die variations in addition to the already challenging within-die variations. This adds an additional design complexity and makes variation estimation and full-chip optimization even more challenging. In this paper, we show that the industry standard on-chip variation (AOCV) tables cannot be applied directly to 3D paths that are spanning multiple dies. We develop a new machine learning-based model and methodology for an accurate variation estimation of logic paths in 3D designs. Our model makes use of key parameters extracted from existing GDSII 3D IC design and sign-off simulation database. Thus, it requires no runtime overhead when compared to AOCV analysis while achieving an average accuracy of 90% in variation evaluation. By using our model in a full-chip variation-aware 3D IC physical design flow, we obtain up to 16% improvement in critical path delay under variations, which is verified with detailed Monte Carlo simulations.

Gamnamoside, a Phenylpropanoid Glycoside from Persimmon Leaves (Diospyros kaki) with an Inhibitory Effect against an Alcohol Metabolizing Enzyme

  • Phytochemical investigation of the methanolic extract of Diospyros kaki leaves led to the isolation of osmanthuside H (1) and a new phenol glycoside, named gamnamoside [4-(3-hydroxypropyl)-2-methoxyphenol $\beta$-D-apiofuranosyl( 1 $\rightarrow$ 6)$\beta$-D-glucopyranoside] (2) along with (-) catechin (3) through a series of reversed phase column chromatography and preparative C18 HPLC. The structures of the isolates were determined by spectroscopic methods including IR, UV, HRTOFMS, and 2D NMR. Compounds 1, 2, and 3, showed good inhibitory activities ($IC_{50}$) of 175.4, 94.4, and 126.6 ${\mu}g/mL$ respectively, whereas a reversible ADH inhibitor, 4-methylpyrazole, showed the $IC_{50}$ of 326.6 ${\mu}g/mL$ against alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH).

  • 1-(2-cyclohexylmethoxy-6-hydroxyphenyl)-3-(4-hydroxymethylphenyl)-propenone의 미백 효능 및 작용기전의 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 1.Propenone은 ${\alpha}$-MSH와 protoporphyrin IX 자극에 의하여 증가한 멜라닌 생성을 농도 의존적으로 억제하였으며, $IC_{50}$$6-8{\mu}M$이었다. 이것은 양성대조군으로 사용한 kojic acid와 비교하여 약 5-7배 정도로 억제 효과가 우수하였다. 2. Propenone은 생성된 멜라닌에는 탈색효과가 없었다. 3. Propenone은 mouse melanoma B16 세포에 대하여 $100{\mu}M$ 이상에 독성이 관찰되었다.

The burning test of memory and chip was implemented in reliability for all of parts. The memory and chip were developed to high density memory and high performance chip, so circuit design was also high integrated and the test bed was needed to be thin and fine pitch socket. LGA(Land Grid Array) IC socket with thin wall thickness was designed to satisfy this requirement. The LGA IC socket plastic part was manufacture by injection molding process, it was needed accuracy, stiffness and suit resin with high flowability. In this study, injection molding process analysis was executed for 2 and 4 cavities moldings with runner, gate and sprue. The warpage analysis was also implemented for further gate removal process. Through the analyses the total deformations of the moldings were predicted within maximum 0.05mm deformation. Finally in consideration of these results, 2 and 4 cavities molds were designed and made and tested in injection molding process.
