전자화폐의 국내외 동향과 전망

  • 최근 전자상거래의 급격한 발전은 새로운 비즈니스 패러다임을 가져오고 있다. 이러한 디지털 비즈니스 체제로의 성공적인 진입을 위한 지불 수단으로서 전자화폐의 필요성은 갈수록 증대되고 있다. 실용화된 전자화폐를 경제적으로 사용할 수 있는 경제 체제가 확립되면서 전자지불 산업계의 움직임도 활발해지고 있다. 특히, IC카드를 전자 지갑으로써 이용하는 If카드형 전자화폐가 세계적인 규모로 실용화되고 있으며 전자화폐의 업계 표준을 둘러싼 경쟁이 격화되고 있다. 전자화폐의 이용분야도 백화점, 편의점, 체인점, 주유소, 자동판매기 등 유통부문은 물론 버스, 지하철, 주차장, 고속도로 톨게이트 등의 교통 부문으로 확대되고 있다 또한 고궁, 박물관, 관공서 수수료 등 공공서비스 부문에서도 사용할 수 있는 등 일상생활과 밀접한 소액 지불시장에서 이용이 가능하게 되었다. 한편, 디지털 데이터인 전자화폐를 보호하기 위한 보안기술의 개발과 다양한 전자화폐의 상호 호환성을 제공하기 위한 표준의 확립 등이 시급히 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전자지불 산업계의 활발한 움직임에 맞추어 전자화폐의 실용화, 보급을 지원하는 입장에서 전자화폐의 개념과 분류, 국내외 동향을 살펴보고, 향후 발전 전망에 대해 논하고자 한다.

LED Driver by the Low Cost DSP (저가형 DSP를 이용한 LED 구동회로)

  • Due to improvement of the semiconductor technology, the LED replaces the conventional lighting source and LED drivers have been studied and developed. The LED is driven by the constant current control method according to its characteristics. For the constant current control method, the linear regulator and the switching regulator is used. The switching regulator is usually used to LED drivers because it has specific characteristics as the wide input dynamic range and the high efficiency. In this paper, we have described the principle and the implement of the switching regulator, using the drive IC and the low cost DSP chip. Also, both methods have been implemented and its electrical characteristics had almost same experimental results in the steady state and the transient state.

  • This study examined the validity and reliability of the thermal safety design, in order to maintain the heat generated from integrated circuit (IC) chips in the converter, condenser, resistor, and transistor (which are considered as heat sources for thermoelectric devices with a printed circuit board) below target levels during the process of developing a control board and a main power board. The study analyzed the heat generation and dissipation characteristics of the entire printed circuit board (PCB) model to examine its thermal safety.

Antioxidant properties of brownish natural dyeing agents from medicinal plant (갈색계 천연색소 추출물의 항산화 특성)

  • The antioxidant activities of brownish natural dyeing agents, extracted from seven kinds of plants, were tested. Total polyphenol content, DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities, and singlet oxygen quenching effect were determined for hot water extracts and floral waters of plants. DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activites increased with increasing amounts of the extracts from Uncaria gambir R. and Terminalia chebula R. displayed remarkable scavenging effects at concentrations below 0.1 mg/mL, in comparison with the positive control, ascorbic acid. However, antioxidant effects of the floral water, obtained from steam distillation of tested plants, were inefficient at concentration below 0.2 mg/mL. In particular, the natural dyeing agent effectively suppressed singlet oxygen induced by photosensitizer in in vitro assay systems. The concentrations ($IC_{50}$) required to exert 50% of singlet oxygen were 120 and $190{\mu}g/mL$ for hot water extracts from Uncaria gambir R. and Phellinus linteus, respectively. Among all the tested samples, the Uncaria gambir R. and Phellinus linteus extracts contained higher amount of total phenolic contents. The results suggest that naturally occurring dyeing agents are beneficial as natural antioxidants, encouraging further extensive studies.

The Effects of Levelers on Electroplating of Thin Copper Foil for FCCL (전기도금법을 이용한 FCCL용 구리박막 제조시 레벨러의 영향 연구)

  • In recent days, the wire width of IC is narrowed and the degree of integration of IC is increased to obtain the higher capacity of the devices in electronic industry. And then the surface quality of FCCL(Flexible Copper Clad Laminate) became increasingly important. Surface defects on FCCL are bump, scratch, dent and so on. In particular, bumps cause low reliability of the products. Even though there are bumps on the surface, if leveling characteristic of plating solution is good, it does not develop significant bump. In this study, the leveling characteristics of additives are investigated. The objective of study is to improve the leveling characteristic and reduce the surface step through additives and plating conditions. The additives in the electrodeposition bath are critical to obtain flat surface and free of defects. In order to form flat copper surface, accelerator, suppressor and leveler are added to the stock solution. The reason for the addition of leveler is planarization surface and inhibition of the formation of micro-bump. Levelers (SO(Safranin O), MV(Methylene Violet), AB(Alcian Blue), JGB(Janus Green B), DB(Diazine Black) and PVP(Polyvinyl Pyrrolidone) are used in copper plating solution to enhance the morphology of electroplated copper. In this study, the nucleation and growth behavior of copper with variation of additives are studied. The leveling characteristics are analyzed on artificially fabricated Ni bumps.

Validation of analytical method and antioxidant properties of Eriobotrya japonica Lindl. Leaf extract according to extraction solvent (추출용매 조건에 따른 비파 잎 추출물의 항산화 활성 및 유효성분의 분석법 밸리데이션)

  • The antioxidant properties of Eriobotrya japonica leaf extract were investigated using DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging assay. The 80% ethanol extract of leaves ($IC_{50}$ values for DPPH and ABTS were 13.9 and $10.9{\mu}g/mL$, respectively) and young leaves ($IC_{50}$ values for DPPH and ABTS were 20.7 and $17.3{\mu}g/mL$, respectively) showed high radical scavenging activity. Additionally, the quantitative method for estimation of ellagic acid and chlorogenic acid from E. japonica leaves was optimized by HPLC/DAD. This method showed high linearity of the calibration curve with a coefficient of correlation ($R^2$) equal to 0.999. The LOD values for ellagic acid and chlorogenic acid were 2.35 and $0.73{\mu}g/mL$, respectively, whereas LOQ values were 7.13 and $2.22{\mu}g/mL$, respectively. Recovery of the two compounds was 99.7-108.0% with RSD values less than 5.31%. These results suggest that 80% ethanol extract of E. japonica leaves could serve as a potential source of natural antioxidant for us in various industrial applications.

Functional and Emulsifying Properties of Balloonflower Seeds Oil Extracted by Supercritical Carbon Dioxide (초임계 이산화탄소 추출로 얻은 도라지 종자유의 기능성 및 에멀젼 특성)

  • In this study, functional and emulsifying properties of oil extracted by supercritical carbon dioxide from balloonflower(Platycodon grandiflorum A. DC) seeds were investigated. The oil was lower in total polyphenol content(8 mg/100 g), but higher in ${\alpha}$-tocopherol(14.15 mg/100 g), ${\beta}$-sitosterol(116 mg/100 g) and stigmasterol(8 mg/100 g) contents than seeds. Based on DPPH radical scavenging activity, the oil($IC_{50}=1235.5{\mu}g/mL$) showed similar antioxidant activity to the seeds($IC_{50}=1138.2{\mu}g/mL$). At 1%(w/w) lecithin, O/W emulsion with balloonflower seeds oil had turbidity, microscopic image, mean particle size and emulsion stability similar to emulsion with soybean oil, but had lower turbidity and emulsion stability and larger mean particle size than emulsion with perilla seeds oil. Its surface tension was similar to perilla oil emulsion.

The Effects of Cadmium on Seed Germination and Growth of Sunflower and Rape (카드뮴이 해바라기와 유채 발아 및 성장에 미치는 영향)

  • Sunflower (Sunking4505) and Rape (Sunmang) are oil-seeds containing high oleic acid, and these are used for the production materials of bio-diesel and applying for phytoremediation. The effect of cadmium on germination rate and the growth of the plants is evaluated. Object seeds were placed in Cd (0, 1.5, 4, 12, 30, 60, 100, 150, 300, 500 mg/L) solutions for seven days, and germination rate, root length, shoot length, seedling length, and dry weight were observed. $IC_{50}$, seedling vigor index, and tolerance indices were computed, and data were statistically analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Germination rate as well as root, shoot, and seedling length decreased as the cadmium concentration increased except dry weight. The $IC_{50}$ of sunflower and rape are 112 and 10 mg-Cd/L, respectively. Only one of the sunflower seeds is germinated at 500 mg-Cd/L whereas rape seeds are not germinated more than 150 mg-Cd/L solution. Root has higher cadmium sensitivity than shoot, and sunflower has higher germination rate, growth, and seedling vigor index than rape. In case of tolerance indices, sunflower has lower value than rape at relatively low concentration, but has higher value at high concentration.

Types & Characteristics of Chemical Substances used in the LCD Panel Manufacturing Process (LCD 제조공정에서 사용되는 화학물질의 종류 및 특성)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate types and characteristics of chemical substances used in LCD(Liquid crystal display) panel manufacturing process. Methods: The LCD panel manufacturing process is divided into the fabrication(fab) process and module process. The use of chemical substances by process was investigated at four fab processes and two module processes at two domestic TFT-LCD(Thin film transistor-Liquid crystal display) panel manufacturing sites. Results: LCD panels are manufactured through various unit processes such as sputtering, chemical vapor deposition(CVD), etching, and photolithography, and a range of chemicals are used in each process. Metal target materials including copper, aluminum, and indium tin oxide are used in the sputtering process, and gaseous materials such as phosphine, silane, and chlorine are used in CVD and dry etching processes. Inorganic acids such as hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid are used in wet etching process, and photoresist and developer are used in photolithography process. Chemical substances for the alignment of liquid crystal, such as polyimides, liquid crystals, and sealants are used in a liquid crystal process. Adhesives and hardeners for adhesion of driver IC and printed circuit board(PCB) to the LCD panel are used in the module process. Conclusions: LCD panels are produced through dozens of unit processes using various types of chemical substances in clean room facilities. Hazardous substances such as organic solvents, reactive gases, irritants, and toxic substances are used in the manufacturing processes, but periodic workplace monitoring applies only to certain chemical substances by law. Therefore, efforts should be made to minimize worker exposure to chemical substances used in LCD panel manufacturing process.

CM Prospects and Strategies Based on Contract Statistics : 1997 through 2014 (CM산업 수주실적 분석을 통한 CM기업의 발전 방안 - 1997년 ~ 2014년 실적자료 기반 -)

  • CM services have been focused on the advancement of the CM industry and expansion to overseas market based on CM capabilities. However, there has been lack of quantitative and comprehensive research to investigate current CM trends and prospects for improving competitiveness. In this sense, the purpose of this study is to statistically analyze total of 3,453 CM service contracts over the past 18 years (between 1997 and 2014) in term of market type, contract size, owner's type, commodity type. Finding of this research reveal that 1) compared to 2005, CM market size in 2015 increased as much as 2.5 times, and that 2) domestic CM projects count for 87.5%, architectural project 88.4%, less than 1 billion won small contracts 75%, respectively. Also, recently as CM company are developing capability and competitiveness, 1) overseas CM market share has grown up to 20% among total CM contract amount, and 2) CM contracts by private owners has increased 3 times demanding the total management services based on high technical capability. Additionally, the result of this paper supports the growth path model proposed by Jung et al. (2014), where a path from Domestic Public (DP3) and Domestic Private (DC2) CM projects towards the expansion to International Private (IC5) contracts was quantitatively analyzed. Implications for other practical issues are also briefly discussed.
