Leaf and petiole explants of kiwifruit were cultured on MT basal medium supplimented with 2,4-D, kinetin, NAA, and BA. Higher organogenic callus formation was observed on the media with NAA + BA than on the media added with 2,4-D + kinetin. Adventitious buds were formed only on media with NAA and BA. Leaf was better explant than petiole. When callus and adventitious buds were subcultured, shoot formation responsed best on medium with 0.1 mg/L NAA + 2.0 mg/L zeatin. When shoots were cultured on medium with 0.5 mg/L IAA + 0.1 mg/L BA after soaking for 1 hr at IBA solution, rooting was more effective than non-IBA treatment. Rooted shoots developed into normal plants.
When the leaves, roots and stem segments of seedling of Polygonatum odoratum were cultured on Murashige and Skoog medium with 2.0mg/l BAP, stem segments were the most efficient explants for adventitious shoot inductino. To observe the efficient combination of growth regulators on the adventitious shoot formation , stem segments were cultured on MS medium with various kinds of cytokinins (BAP, kinetin, zeatin). From this experiment, cytokinin treatement was prerequisite for theadventitious shoot formatino, especially BAP was the most effective. Auxin (NAA or IBA) in combination with cyotokinin highly enhanced the adventitious shoot formation. Twenty five percents of explants produced the adventitious shoots on medium with 2.0mg/l BAP solely, while 83% of explants produced the adventitious shoots on medium with 2.0mg/l BAP and 0.1mg/l IBA. Root formationform adventitious shoot was promoted after transfer to 1/2 MS medium supplemented with 0.1mg/l IBA and 0.5mg/l zeatin, thereafter the plantlets with shoots and roots were cultured on 1/2MS medium lacking growth regulators. When the stem segments were cultured to MS medium with 1.0mg/l 2,4 NAA and IBA , yellow and nodulous cali were formed from the stem segments which were developed into adventitious roots. These roots were actively grew after transferred to MS liquid medium lacking growth regulators.

InfiniBand is a switched-fabric architecture for next generation I/O systems and data centers. The InfiniBand Architecture (IBA) promises to replace bus-based architectures, such as PCI, with a switched-based fabric whose benefits include higher performance, higher RAS (reliability, availability, scalability), and the ability to create modular networks of servers and shared I/O devices. The switched-fabric InfiniBand consists of InfiniBand subnets with channel adapters, switches, and routers. In order to fully grasp the operational characteristics of InfiniBand architecture (IBA) and use them in ongoing design specification, simulation of subnet management of IBA is inevitable. In this paper, thus, we implement an IBA simulator and test some practical sample networks using it. The simulator shows the flow of operation by which the correctness and effectiveness of the system can be verified.
Poplar trees from the Salicaceae family over the years have been utilized for various reasons which include prevention of deforestation as well as phytoremediation. This study aims to determine the optimal pre-treatment and soil conditions required for propagation of poplar cuttings for increased initial adaptability and survival rate. Five poplar clones (Hanan, 110, 107, DN-34, 52-225) were selected for IBA, soil composition treatments on propagation. IBA pre-treatment of cuttings were utilized 0, 10, and 100 mg l-1 concentrations. Soil compositions were amended with TKS-2+perlite 2:1 (v:v) and sandy clay loam mixed with artificial soil. According to the greenhouse results 10 mg l-1 of IBA showed a significant increase in plant height whereas 100 mg l-1 inhibited plant growth except in clone 110. Soil composition severely affected root growth and hence overall growth of the clones. Sandy clay loam soil had poor to stunted growth compared to TKS-2+perlite.

This study investigates the nexus among the South Asian economies. Effects of shocks in the equity market of one country on the equity market of the other country are examined. For empirical analysis, the time series monthly data is used for the period from February 2013 to August 2019. The study focuses on the four larger economies of the region, namely, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. To investigate for asymmetric effects of positive and negative shocks, EGARCH model is used. The findings show the mix nature of the spillovers between the various pairs of countries. The equity market of Pakistan has two-way spillover effects with the equity market of Bangladesh, but has no association with the equity markets of India and Sri Lanka. The volatility in the equity market of India significantly influences the volatility of the financial markets of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Similarly, the capital market of Sri Lanka has a negative association with the equity market of India as well as Bangladesh, but does not affect the equity market of any other country. These findings validate the argument in the literature that geographic location influences the nexus among equity markets. The findings are important for policy-makers and investors.
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of growth regulators and medium composition on the growth of each stage in apical meristem culture for mass propagation of Zanthoxylum piperitum var. inerme Makino. The source material, shoot tip segments were taken from three-years old graft trees. Apical meristems were cultured in vitro on basal MS, GD, WS, half strength MS(1/2MS) and half strength GD(1/2GD) media supplemented with various concentrations for growth regulators(BA, IBA) and inorganic nutrients. The results summarized are as follows: 1. In culture establishment stage, ratio of culture establishment was 96.7% and the best resuit was obtained using MS medium supplemented with 1.0mg/l BA and 0.2mg/l IBA. 2. In shoot multitication stage, both shoot multiplication and growth were achieved in average 5.6cm. These results were obtained on in MS medium supplemented with 1.0mg/l BA and 0.2mg/l IBA. 3. In roothing stage, phloroglucinol(PG) acted as IBA synergist in root initiation. The most faverable combinations for root development was half-strength MS medium supplemented with 162mg/l PG and 0.2mg/l IBA, and ratio of rooting was 58.0%. 4. In Vitro formed plantlets were transplanted to paper pots in greenhouse with 85% of relative humidity. 96% of survival rate was obtained from artificial soil mix having same volume of sand, vermiculite, peat, and soil.
Studies were carried out to standardize and develop a suitable macro-propagation technology for large scale production of superior clonal stock through stem cuttings in Commiphora wightii Arnott (Bhandari), a data deficient medicinal plant of arid region. For the purpose, three experiments were conducted. The first experiment was tried to elucidate the impact of various cutting diameters (0.50-0.75 cm, 0.75-1.00 cm, 1.00-1.50 cm, and >1.50 cm) in combination with varying growing conditions (sunlight, shade house and mist chamber) on shoot sprouting and rooting without using exogenous plant growth regulators. Cutting diameter (size 0.75-1.00 cm) in mist chamber has shown maximum sprouting (90.00%) and rooting (73.33%), primary root (6.67) and secondary root (16.67) followed by 1.00-1.51 cm in mist chamber. Minimum sprouting (40.00%), rooting (33.33%), number of shoot (1.33), primary root (1.00) and number of secondary root (1.00) was recorded in cutting diameter (size >1.50 cm) in sunlight. Second experiment was performed to find out optimum growth regulator concentration of rooting hormone (100, 200, 500 and 1000 ppm) of Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and Indole-3-butyric Acid (IBA) on adventitious root formation on cuttings diameter (size 0.25-0.50 cm) in comparison to control. Maximum rooting percentage (93.33%) was recorded in 200 ppm followed by 500 ppm (86.66%) of IBA as compared to control, which showed only 60 per cent sprouting. Third experiment was performed with newly formed juvenile micro-cuttings treated with varying concentrations of IAA and IBA. The juvenile cuttings (size 6-10 cm, basal dia <0.25 cm) were selected as micro-cuttings. The cuttings treated with IBA (500 ppm) showed 64.30% rooting as compared to other treatments. Results of above experiments indicate that cuttings (size 0.75-1.00 cm dia) may be developed in mist chamber for better performance. While using heavier cuttings, no growth promoting hormones is required however; growth regulator 200 ppm concentration of IBA rooting hormone was observed optimum for promoting macro-propagation in stem cuttings of lower diameter class (0.25-0.50 cm).
This study was established to investigate the effects of Ca application on fruit mineral nutrients, quality, and browning of 'Fuyu' sweet persimmon (Diospyros kaki). Ca foliar application at 40ml/20L/tree had a greater fruit Ca concentration than did control, Ca fertigation (40ml/20L/tree), and Ca foliar application (40ml/20L/tree) coupled with IBA fertigation (40ml/20L/tree). Fruit mineral nutrient concentrations for Mg, B, and Mn were similar or lower in the foliar treatment compared to other treatments. Fruit color was not affected. Ca treatment, whether foliar applied or fertigated, was effective in maintaining fruit firmness and in decreasing the browning symptom in fruit after MA storage at $0^{\circ}C$ for 60 and 100 days. Although Ca foliar application + IBA fertigation treatment improved fruit firmness, the positive effect on the browning and decay occurrences in fruit was not shown.
We micropropagated pear (Pyrus species) using shoot tips and nodal explants from three pear genotypes. The ability to establish shoot tip cultures, proliferate shoots, induce rooting, and acclimatize the resulting plantlets are all elements of in vitro micropropagation. Shoots were induced from shoot tips on Murashige and Skoog medium (MS) with five different plant growth regulator combinations. The highest shoot formation rates were achieved for the three genotypes using MS supplemented with 1.0 mg/L N6-benzyladenine (BA) and 0.1 mg/L gibberellic acid (GA3). The maximum shoot number and shoot length for the three cultivars were recorded with 2.0 mg/L BA and 0.2 mg/L indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) in multiplication medium using nodal explants produced from microshoots. Nodal explants with one or two axillary buds cultured for three weeks initiated roots on medium supplemented with various concentrations of 1-naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) or/and IBA in half-strength MS medium for adventitious rooting. The highest rooting response was with the combination of 0.2 mg/L NAA and 0.2 mg/L IBA. A combination of NAA and IBA resulted in a significant increase in the rooting ratio over NAA or IBA alone. In this medium, the root formation rate according to ranged from 68.9% for the BaeYun No. 3 genotype to 51.8% for the Hwanggeum genotype. We also investigated the influence of the concentration the polyamine phloroglucinol in rooting medium. For all three genotypes, the highest rooting ratio, longest root length, and greatest root number were observed in the treatments with 75-150 mg/L phloroglucinol. Most rooted plants were acclimatized successfully.
Some nickel(II) complexes have been derived from the condensation of isonitrosobenzoylacetone and diamine(ethylenediamine and propylenediamine) in the presence of metal ion. It is suggested that an isonitroso group(=N-O) of the ligand coordinates to metal through nitrogen atom to form a five-membered ring while other =N-O coordinates to metal through oxygen atom to form a six-membered ring in Ni(IBN)$_2$-en ((IBA)$_2$-en = N,N'-propylenebis(isonitrosobenzoylacetone imino)). But both isonitroso groups of the ligand coordinate to metal through nitrogen atoms to form five-membered rings in Ni(IBA)$_2$-pn ((IBA)$_2$-pn = N,N'-propylenebis(isonitrosobenzoylacetone imino)).
