피복구성학적 인체계측과 집낙구조분석 ( I ) (Anthropometry for clothing construction and cluster analysis ( I ))

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze 'the natural groupings' of subjects in order to classify highly similar somatotype for clothing construction. The sample for the study was drawn randomly out of senior high school boys in Seoul urban area. The sample size was 425 boys between age 16 and 18. Cluster analysis was more concerned with finding the hierarchical structure of subjects by three dimensional distance of stature. bust girth and sleeve length. The groups forming a partition can be subdivided into 5 and 6 sets by the hierarchical tree of the given subjects. Ward's Minimum Variance Method was applied after extraction of distance matrix by the Standardized Euclidean Distance. All of the above data was analyzed by the computer installed at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. The major findings, take for instance, of 16 age group can be summarized as follows. The results of cluster analysis of this study: 1. Cluster 1 (32 persons means $18.29\%$ of the total) is characterized with smaller bust girth than that of cluster 5, but stature and sleeve length of the cluster 1 are the largest group. 2. Cluster 2 (18 Persons means $10.29\%$ of the total) is characterized with the group of the smallest stature and sleeve length, but bust girth larger than that of cluster 3. 3. Cluster 3(35persons means $20\%$ of the total) is classified with the smallest group of all the stature, bust girth and sleeve length. 4. Cluster 4(60 persons means $34.29\%$ of the total) is grouped with the same value of sleeve length with the mean value of 16 age group, but the stature and bust girth is smaller than the mean value of this age group. 5. Cluster 5(30 persons means $17.14\%$ of the total) is characterized with smaller stature than that of cluster 1, and with larger bust girth than that of cluster 1, but with the same value of the sleeve length with the mean value of the 16 age group.

  • 분산 공간 데이터베이스 시스템들 사이에서 빈번히 수행되는 공간 죠인 질의는 공간 데이터의 대용량성과 그 복잡성으로 인하여 공간 연산 수행 시 서버에 CPU 및 디스크 I/O 상의 부하를 일으킨다. 본 논문은 이러한 분산 공간 데이터베이스 시스템에서 수행 비용이 많이 드는 원격 사이트간의 공간 죠인 질의를 병렬적으로 수행하는 기법을 제안한다. 본 기법은 죠인에 참여하는 릴레이션들 중 하나를 이등분하는 방법으로 공간 죠인 연산을 분리한 후, 질의 수행에 참여하는 두 서버에게 죠인 연산을 분배한다. 각 서버는 분할된 공간 죠인 연산을 동시에 연쇄적으로 처리하고 결과를 병합하여 최종 죠인 결과를 생성한다. 본 기법은 릴레이션을 효율적으로 분할하여 죠인을 수행함으로써 공간 연산에 참여하는 객체의 수를 절반으로 줄이며 R-Tree 등 공간 인덱스의 탐색 횟수와 그 범위를 감소시킨다. 또한 릴레이션을 영역단위로 분할하여 객체의 수를 줄이고 참여 객체를 군집화 시킴으로써 죠인 연산시에 디스크와 버퍼의 사용 효율을 높인다.

  • 토양/대수층 처리(Soil Aquifer Treatment, SAT)는 하수처리장으로부터의 2차 또는 3차 처리수를 대수층으로 침투시켜, 토양 매질에서 일어나는 물리적/생화학적 반응에 의해 재처리하는 용수 재이용 기술이다. SAT에서의 주요 관심 대상은 유기물과 질소화합물의 제거와 이송에 있다. 본 연구에서는 암모늄의 질산화 반응, 질소산회물의 탈질 반응, 그리고 유기물의 산화반응을 고려하여 SAT에서 일어나는 반응 메커니즘을 규명하고 이를 지하수 흐름과 이송 모렐 에 접목시킴으로써 SAT 모델링 시스템을 구현하고자 하였다. 실험실 일차원 불포화 토양 컬럼 실험을 통한 모델 검증에서 암모늄, 질산성 질소, DOC, 용존산소 모두 일정한 농도 범위 안에서 일치하였다. 모델 변수에 대한 민감도 분석에서, 암모늄 분배계수는 유출부의 암모늄 농도에, 용존산소 저해상수는 유출부의 유기물 농도에, 그리고 미생물 감쇄계수는 유출부의 용존산소 농도에 영향을 주었다.

  • To assess its suitability as a prodrug of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), 1-glycyloxymethyl-5-FU HCl (GFU), a 5-fluorouracil derivative having a glycyloxymethyl group at the N-l position was synthetized. Its physicochemical properties and hydrolysis kinetics, in aqueous solution of pH $1{\sim}10$ and in the presence of human plasma or rat liver homogenate were studied. Its acute toxicity and antitumor activity against sarcoma 180 were also examined, GFU showed higher lipid/water partition coefficient than 5-FU. The calculated $pK_{\alpha}$ values of 5-FU and GFU were 8.02 and 7,20, respectively. The decomposition rates of GFU in aqueous solution showed a pH-dependence over the pH range used, which could be ascribed to solvent catalysed hydrolysis reaction at pH lower than 4,16 and to specific hydroxide ion hydrolysis reaction at pH higher than 4,16, The half-life of GFU was 6,9 min in 80% human plasma solution and less than 3 min in rat liver homogenate at $37^{\circ}C$, The $LD_{50}$ value of 5-FU was 240 mg/kg while that of GFU was 440.6 mg/kg (226 mg as 5-FU). Both of 5FU and GFU showed a strong antitumor activity, Therapeutic ratios of 5-FU and GFU were 3.07 and 3.55, respectively.

Characterization of Physicochemical Properties of Ferulic Acid

  • Ferulic acid (3-methoxy, 4-hydroxy cinnamic acid) is a flavoid component possessing antioxidant property. The compound is currently under development as a new drug candidate for the treatment of the dementia. The objective of this preformulation study was to determine the physicochemical properties of ferulic acid. The n-octanol to water partition coefficients of ferulic acid were 0.375 and 0.489 at the pHs of 3 and 10, respectively. Accelerated stability study for ferulic acid indicated that the t 90 value for the drug was estimated to be 459 days at $25^{\circ}C$. Ferulic acid was also found to be unstable under the relative humidity of more than 76%, probably because of the hygroscopic nature of the drug. In order to study compatibility of ferulic acid with typical excipients, potential change in differential scanning calorimetry spectrum was studied in 1: 1 binary mixtures of ferulic acid and typical pharmaceutical excipients (e.g., Aerosil, Avicel, CMC, Eudragit, lactose, PEG, PVP, starch and talc). Avicel, CMC, PVP and starch were found to be incompatible with ferulic acid, indicating the addition of these excipients may complicate the manufacturing of the formulation for the drug. Particle size distribution of ferulic acid powder was in the size range of 10-190 $\mu$m with the mean particle size of 61 $\mu$m. The flowability of ferulic acid was apparently inadequate, indicating the granulation may be necessary for the processing of the drug to solid dosage forms. Two polymorphic forms were obtained by recrystallization from various solvents used in formulation. New polymorphic form of ferulic acid, Form II, was obtained by recrystallization from 1,4-dioxane. The equilibrium solubility for Form I was approximately twice of that for Form II. The dissolution rate of Form II was higher than that of Form I in the early phase (<6 min). Therefore, these physicochemical information has to be taken in the consideration for the formulation of ferulic acid.

사람 섬유아세포에서 전호(Anthriscus sylvestris Hoffmann)추출물이 콜라겐 생합성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Anthriscus sylvestris Hoffmann Extract on the Biosynthesis of Collagen in Human Dermal Fibroblasts)

  • 본 연구에서는 전호추출물의 주름개선에 대한 효능을 측정하기 위하여 인간의 섬유아세포에 전호추출물을 처리하여 총콜라겐과 type I procollagen, MMP-1의 생합성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 전호추출물을 인간 섬유아세포에 처리 시 콜라겐의 생합성은 증가시켰지만, MMP-1의 발현에 대해서는 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 이는 전호추출물이 자외선에 의해 영향을 받는 광노화보다는, 노화에 의해 콜라겐 생합성율이 감소되는 내인성노화에 훨씬 유효함을 시사한다. 전호추출물을 처리시 95% EtOH 추출물의 경우 25%까지 총콜라겐의 생합성을 증가시켰고, EtOAc층은 28%, EtOAc의 E6 소분획의 경우 50% 증가시켰으므로, 콜라겐 생합성에 영향을 미치는 유효성분은 EtOAc층에 대부분 함유되어 있을 것으로 사료되고, 이는 확인되지 않은 미지의 효능 성분이 존재하거나, 다양한 활성 성분들의 상호 작용에 의한 것으로 판단된다. 결론적으로 전호추출물은 콜라겐 생합성을 촉진함으로 내인성노화에 의한 주름생성 및 탄력저하를 개선할 수 있는 천연 유용자원으로 이용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • The methanol extract of the seed of Myristica fragrans (myristicaceae) demonstrated a potent inhibition on the proliferation of cultured human tumor cells such as A549 (non small cell lung), SK-OV-3 (ovary), SK-MEL-2(melanoma), XF498 (central nerve system) and HCT-15(colon). The MeOH extract was fractionated into three portions by serial solvent partition i,e., EtOAc soluble part, BuOH soluble part and remaining water layer. Among them, the EtOAc soluble part of the extract demonstrated a potent inhibition on the proliferation of cultured human tumor cells, Bioassay-guided fractionation of the EtOAc soluble part led to the isolation of six lignan constituents, i.e., safrole(1), machilin A (2), licarin B (3), macelignan (4), mesodihydroguaiaretic acid (5) and myristargenol A (6) as well as a large amount of myristic acid as active ingredients. Structures of the isolated active components (1-6) were established by chemical and spectroscopic means.

Algebraic Analysis for Partitioning Root and Stem Lodging in Rice Plant

  • Lodging is classified as root lodging caused by the loss of supporting force in the root, bending caused by the deformation of the stem and breaking where the stem breaks down as loads exceeding critical elasticity were applied. This research excluded breaking which is not in a state of equilibrium and tried to partition the level of lodging using an algebraic model in root lodging and stem lodging, or bending. When a vertical load was applied, the deformation of the stem of rice plant showed the form of a quadratic equation. The trace of the panicle neck in the process of lodging was an ellipse-shape. When loading was pure root lodging, the trace of the panicle neck became a circle of which culm length is the radius. When it was a pure stem lodging, the trace of the panicle neck is an ellipse of which major axis is culm length and minor axis is 0.64* culm length. When both stem lodging and root lodging occurred in a natural setting, the partitioning of lodging can be calculated by a formula using eccentricity of an ellipse, S=e*100/0.768(S is the ratio of stem lodging in the whole lodging, e is eccentricity of the ellipse). This method is expected to be useful in simple lodging partitioning. We could also calculate the partitioning of stem lodging and root lodging as units of angles as an accuracy method, by using a straight line calculated by differentiating a quadratic equation of stem deformation at the origin of the coordinates. These two methods for dividing root and stem lodging showed different values. However, each of them showed almost same values with different lodging degree in one plant.

  • 식물유(植物油)의 트리-글리세리드의 조성(組成)을 밝히기 위하여 목화씨기름을 시료(試料)로 하여 TLC로써 트리-글리세리드를 분리하고 HPLC에 의하여 PN별(別)로 분획(分劃)하였으며, 각 획분(劃分)을 분취(分取)하여 GLC로 acyl탄소수별(別)로 분획(分劃) 하였다. 또한 PN별(別) 분획(分劃)을 GLC로 지방산 조성을 분석하였다. 이들 결과(結果)로부터 트리-글리세리드 조성을 산정하였는데, 목화씨기름에 있어서는 37종류이었다. 시료유(試料油)의 주요(主要) 트리-글리세리드를 들면 목화씨기름에 있어서는 25.8%$(C_{16:0},\;C_{18:2},\;C_{18:2})$, 15.5%$(C_{18:2},\;C_{18:2},\;C_{18:2})$, 13.8%$(C_{16:0},\;C_{18:2},\;C_{16:0})$, 8.3%$(C_{18:2},\;C_{18:1},\;C_{18:2}$), 6.2%($C_{18:2},\;C_{18:1},\;C_{18:1})$, 4.1%$(C_{18:1},\;C_{18:1},\;C_{14:0})$, 3.4%$(C_{16:0},\;C_{18:1},\;C_{16:0})$), 2.3%$(C_{18:1},\;C_{18:2},\;C_{16:0}$), 2.2%($C_{18:1},\;C_{18:1},\;C_{18:1})$, 1.0%$(C_{14:0},\;C_{18:2},\;C_{18:1})$이었다.

  • 수용액에서 ${\sigma}-MnO_2$(s)에 대한 다염소치환페놀류의 흡착과 산활를 조사하였다. 제안된 메카니즘중에서 ${\sigma}-MnO_2$(s)에 대한 염소치환페놀류의 흡착반응은 용액의 pH와 염소치환페놀의 농도에 의존하였다. 흡착등온선은 Langmuir등온선의 형태이었다. 흡착분배계수의 pH의존성과 염소치환페놀의 옥타놀-물 분배계수와의 직선적인 관계로부터 흡착은 연소치환페놀류의 hydrophobicity에 지배되는 것으로 보였다. ${\sigma}-MnO_2$(s)의 환원성 용해속도로부터 구한 전자전이 반응속도는 염소치환페놀류의 농도와 매질의 pH에 거의 직선적으로 의존하였다. Meta위치 염소치환페놀류의 실험적인 속도상수($K_0$)는 염소치환페녹시 라디칼의 공명효과 때문에 ortho 및 para위치는 치환체보다 크게 작았다. 이것은 흡착반응 중 이 라디칼이 생성되며, 전자전이반응이 곧 속도결정단계임을 나타내는 것이다.
