이용행태조사를 통한 아파트 외부공간 계획방안에 관한 연구 (Planning Guidelines for Outdoor Space in the Apartment Complex by Investigating Usage Behavior)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the outdoor space of the recent built apartment complex in Ulsan and to provide the basic information for planning and apartment outdoor space. Multiple methods were utilized such as questionnaire, observation, behavior-mapping, and photography. The sample consisted of 382 residents living in four apartment complex in Ulsan. data were analyzed by frequency and percentage using SPSS PC+. The observation was performed in seven outdoor space, i.e., green area, road area, exercise area, play area, parking area, and approach area. According to the findings of this study, residents did not actively involve in outdoor activities and seldom use the outdoor space. Various changes and erosions were observed as a trace, especially near fence and grass area because of unplanned location of entrances. Finally this study suggested several planning guidelines for outdoor space in apartment complex.

  • 본 논문은 LZSS 압축 알고리즘을 변형하여 임베디드 리눅스 운영체제 파일 시스템으로 사용할 수 있도록 설계한다. 본 논문에서는 PDA 임베디드 리눅스 파일 시스템에 변형된 LZSS 압축 알고리즘을 적용하여 저장 공간의 효율적인 관리를 할수 있도록 하였다. 임베디드 리눅스 기반의 PDA 시스템에 대한 압축 파일 시스템 설계는 메모리 사용을 극대화시킬 수 있다. 이와같이 임베디드 시스템에 압축 파일 시스템을 제공함으로써 임베디드 시스템의 한계였던 소량의 저장 공간 문제를 해결하도록 해준다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 압축 파일 시스템을 사용할 경우 저장 공간을 늘리지 않고 저장 공간을 늘리는 효과를 낼 수 있도록 해준다.

클러스터 컴퓨터를 위한 단일 I/O 공간 서비스의 구현 및 성능분석 (Implementation and Performance Analysis of Single I/O Space Service for Cluster Computers)

  • 클러스터 컴퓨터에 있어서 I/O 중심적인 응용을 효과적으로 처리하기 위해서는 통합 I/O 하부 구조를 지원하는 단일 I/O 공간(SIOS)이 필수적으로 구현되어야 한다. SIOS 서비스는 클러스터 컴퓨터 내의 어느 노드에서든지 자신 혹은 원격 노드에 위치한 주변기기 및 하드 디스크들을 직접 액세스할 수 있도록 전역 I/O 주소 공간을 구축해준다. 본 논문에서는 리눅스 클러스터에서 프리웨어들만을 이용하여 SIOS를 구현하는 방법을 제안하였다. 이 방법은 ENBD를 이용한 디바이스 드라이버 레벨과 S/W RAID 및 NFS를 이용한 파일 시스템 레벨에서 구현되었다. 이 방법의 주요 장점은 프리웨어들만을 이용하기 때문에 구현이 용이하고 비용이 거의 들지 않는다는 것이다. 또한 본 연구에서 사용한 프리웨어들은 공개 소스이기 때문에 다른 플랫폼에서도 약간의 수정을 통하여 적용이 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 이러한 장점을 가지면서도 실험 결과에서 나타난 I/O 처리율은 커널 수준에서 별도로 개발된 디바이스 드라이버를 사용하는 CDD보다 쓰기 동작에서는 최대 5.5배, 읽기 동작에서는 2.3배정도 더 높게 나타났다.

  • We present the update information on the International Radio Astronomy Observatory Suffa project and describe the original design of new 70-m radiotelescope RT-70 for millimeter astronomy as well. Some oreographic, seeing and climatic features of Suffa are also given.

  • In 21st century, mankind greets an era of ubiquitous computing where physical and virtual space are merged through the innovation of digital and IT(Information Technology), meanwhile ubiquitous computing and network paradigm suggest a new direction which our future educational system should head for. A society where people, computers, and objects can be connected with each other anytime and anywhere, that is, a society of ubiquitous computing where everything in our living space are interconnected by a immense network system may bring a variety of changes into our educational environment in schools. In this study I analysed the forecast of school educational orientation and ubiquitous educational environment and facilities in developed countries, and on the basis of the result, I performed a fundamental work for formation of a ubiquitous classroom environment which is feasible in Korea. In the section of conclusion, I present a model of ubiquitous classroom as a scenario based on ubiquitous computing technology applicable to future classroom environment.

  • This study attempts to fiugure out how residents differentially perceive the storage according to the housing types and sizes. The major findings are as follows: 1) The residents in the tenement house dissatisfy the storage space more than those in the detached house. 2) It is the arrangement that is considered as the most important factor while storaging. 3) It is non-daily goods that is the most difficult item to store. 4) Most information about storage is obtained form mass media.

혼합현실공간(MRS)의 미디어환경 특성연구 (Study on the Characteristics of Media Environment of MRS)

  • 최근 공간디자인은 온 라인과 오프라인이 융합된 혼합현실 공간으로 진화하고 있다. 그러나 혼합현실 공간의 기준과 척도는 제시된 바 없으며 융합체계로서의 미디어환경과 표현방법 또한 연구가 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 미디어환경 특성 연구는 유비쿼터스 기술 기반, 혼합현실 공간에서의 임계점으로서 중요한 위치를 차지하는 동시에 다양한 체험공간의 구축방법으로서 혼합현실 공간적 분별을 위한 기준점으로서 네 가지 미디어 환경과 표현특성을 제안하고자 한다. 1)현실공간은 인간의 시 지각에만 의존하여 보여지는 미디어환경으로 디지털 기술기반의 새로운 소재와 LED 등을 이용한 표현방법으로 발전하고 있다. 2)증강현실공간은 정보기기를 이용한 보여 지는 미디어환경으로 다양한 2D, 3D 콘텐츠가 증강되어 표현된다. 3)가상공간은 미디어 기기에 완전히 의존하여 구현되는 환경으로 공간적, 물리적 제약 없이 완벽한 그래픽정보로 표현된다. 4)증강가상공간은 가상의 스튜디오를 구성, 디스플레이를 통해서만 시청할 수 있는 환경으로 실제의 사물과 그래픽정보가 융합되어 표현된다. 혼합현실공간의 미디어 환경과 표현특성은 체험의 목적에 따라 융합, 혼합, 조합되어 공간적, 시간적, 정보적으로 제약 없이 체험 가능한 지능형정보공간으로 구현 가능하다는 것이다. 향후 미디어환경 특성에 따른 콘텐츠의 유형적 특성 연구가 필요시된다.

  • In smart era, concept of User experience has been an important issue both in academic and practical areas in recent years. Interactive space became one of the major design paradigms. For elevating the interactive effect, we need user?centered design methodology which uses the influential factors on the interactivity. As, well developed information technology made a lot of changes to various fields of our society, interactive space with the concept of HCI became a big issue in environmental design field. In this interactive space, various types of informative factors of the given space are sent using sensor and computer networking technology to the main system. So, a user's movement in the space in more than just a movement itself-user's movement now forms a important spatial structure that leads the narrative of the space. in this research, I will come up with the problems that the interactive space has right now, and analyze what the public space must have, and combine them with interactive space by HCI theory. architecture space is not the old space adapting digital technology. In order to take the role as new space paradigm. environment and technology, it has to develop technology continuously and experimental space at the same time. It must have co-evolution of architecture space field and others through organic network. by that, the evolution of space will be in the way that combines space which is responded to human emotion and user centric human friendly.

공간정보의 탐색과정에 나타난 시각정보획득특성에 관한 연구 - 지하철 홀 공간의 주시실험을 대상으로 - (A Study on the Features of Visual-Information Acquirement Shown at Searching of Spatial Information - With the Experiment of Observing the Space of Hall in Subway Station -)

  • This study has analyzed the meaning of observation time in the course of acquiring the information of subjects who observed the space of hall in subway stations to figure out the process of spatial information excluded and the features of intensive searching. The followings are the results from the analysis of searching process with the interpretation of the process for information acquirement through the interpretation of observation area and time. First, based on the general definition of observation time, the reason for analyzing the features of acquiring spatial information according to the subjects' observation time has been established. The feature of decreased analysis data reflected that of observation time in the process of perceiving and recognizing spatial information, which showed that the observation was focused on the enter of the space during the time spent in the process of observing the space and the spent time with considerable exclusion of bottom end (in particular, right bottom end). Second, while the subjects were observing the space of hall in subway stations, they focused on the top of the left center and the signs on the right exit the most, which was followed by the focus on the both side horizontally and the clock on the top. Third, the analysis of consecutive observation frequency enabled the comparison of the changes to the observation concentration by area. The difference of time by area produced the data with which the change to the contents of spatial searching in the process of searching space could be known. Fourth, as the observation frequency in the area of I changed [three times -> six times -> 9 times], the observation time included in the area increased, which showed the process for the change from perception to recognition of information with the concentration of attention through visual information. It makes it possible to understand that more time was spent on the information to be acquired with the exclusion of the unnecessary information around.

A Design-related Information Processing Model for Brand Communication in Retail Spaces

  • Purpose: This research presents a practical tool aimed at increasing collaboration between designers and marketers for effective retail space branding. We present a design-related information processing model (DIP Model), which is a schematic map that includes cognitive theories which have design applications to retail space branding. Research design, data and methodology: Through literature review and practitioner opinion survey, 43 theories pertaining to the brand communication in retail spaces were selected, and design applications of the theories were analysed through field trips to stores of global brands. Results: The DIP Model consists of two axes: the information processing axis (i.e., encoding vsretrieval) and the regulatory focus axis(i.e., promotion vs prevention). Theories related to information processing axis are theories that facilitate the encoding and retrieval of information as intended by the company. Theories related to regulatory focus axis are theories that reinforce positive cognition and prevent negative cognition regarding the brand. Conclusions: The DIP Model is developed as a tool to categorise cognitive theories that are applicable to the design of brand communication in retail spaces. As such, the model can provide a better understanding of the role of behavioural design, with the aim of building stronger brands in retail spaces.
