QUANTITATIVE ANALYSES USING 4D MODELS - AN EXPLORATIVE STUDY

  • 4D models help construction planners to develop and evaluate construction plans. However, current analyses using 4D models are mainly visual and limit the quantitative comparison of construction alternatives. This paper explores the usefulness of extracting quantitative information from 4D models to support time-space analyses. We use two 4D models of an industry test case to illustrate how to analyze 4D content quantitatively (i.e., work space areas and distances between concurrent activities). This paper shows how these two types of 4D content can be extracted from 4D models to support 4D-based-analysis and novel presentation of construction planning information. We suggest further research to formalize the content of 4D models to enable comparative quantitative analyses of construction planning alternatives. Formalized 4D content will enable the development of reasoning mechanisms that automate 4D-model-based analyses and provide the information content for informative presentations of construction planning information.

  • 농업혁명, 산업혁명, 정보혁명과 맞먹는 제4의 혁명이 바로 유비쿼터스(Ubiquitous) 혁명이다. 과거의 농업혁명이나 산업혁명은 인류문명의 기반인 물리 공간의 혁명이었고, 월드와이드웹 서비스가 확대되면서 절정기를 맞은 정보화 혁명은 사이버 공간(Cyber Space)의 혁명이었다. 이에 반해 유비쿼터스 혁명은 물리 공간과 사이버 공간의 지능적 결합을 통한 온라인과 오프라인 공간이 통합된 공간에서 이뤄진다. 사이버 공간은 자연스럽게 생활공간과 결합되어 새로운 통합 공간을 창출한다. 그 공간은 아직까지 인류가 경험하지 못한 미지의 세계이자 무한한 기회 공간이다. 본 연구는 현재 진행 중인 유비쿼터스 기술의 개념과 현황 살펴본다. 또한 유비궈터스를 미용분야에 적용할 때의 문제점을 도출해보고 각 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 특히 모든 기기간의 무선통신이 가능한 세상에서는 개인의 프라이버시에 대한 침해가 많이 발생할 소지가 많다. 이에 대한 정책적 기술적 해결방안을 제시함으로 향후 미용분야에 도래할 유비쿼터스 세상에 대한 철저한 준비에 유용한 자료가 될 것으로 사료된다.

Rotational and Observational Properties of NEA and Asteroid Family

  • The rotation of asteroids can help reveal not only the fundamental characteristics of asteroids but also the origin and evolution of our Solar System. From the photometric observations for NEA 162173 (1999 JU3) and Maria family asteroids using 0.5 m- to 2 m- class telescopes at 10 observatories in the northern hemisphere, I obtained a total of 260 lightcurves for 97 asteroids and derived synodic rotational periods for 51 objects, including newly obtained periods of 34 asteroids. For the sake of efficiency, I developed an observation scheduler, SMART (Scheduler for Measuring Asteroid RoTation) and a photometric analysis software subsystem, ASAP (Asteroid Spin Analysis Package). Based on the lightcurve analysis of NEA 162173 (1999 JU3) and Maria family asteroids, 1) I present the rotational and observational characteristics of 1999 JU3 and provided the Hayabusa-2 Science team with the information on pole orientations, 2) I investigated correlations among rotational periods, amplitudes of lightcurves, and sizes, and conclude that the rotational properties of old-type family asteroids have been changed considerably by the YORP effect. 3) Finally, I found the Yarkovsky footprints on the Maria asteroid family and estimated that approximately 37 to 75 Maria family asteroids larger than 1 km have entered the near-Earth space every 100 Myr. This study should reveal the collisional history and transport route of the members from the resonance region to the near Earth space, for the first time.

I. 아동의 외부활동을 위한 공간으로서 대구시 단독주택지 주거환경과 거주자 의식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Housing Environment of Detached Housing Area and Resident's Consciousness as the Space for Children's Outdoor Activities in Daegu)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the information about improvement method of the detached housing area for children's outdoor activities. This study was accomplished by two research methods; the evaluation of physical environment of two detached housing areas, and the analyzation of satisfaction & consciousness of 190 residents. Outdoor spaces of detached housing area were divided into 6 areas (play space, education facility, commercial facility, green space, street space, and empty space & parking lot). And then, 6 outdoor spaces were evaluated about the physical characters such as accessibility, network, safety, variety, functional, natural elements. Also, the survey for resident's satisfaction and consciousness was used the Likert scale. According to the result of this study, many parts of the detached housing area were not good for children's outdoor activities, and the resident's satisfaction was low. In the sample detached housing areas, negative factors were car and motorcycle. And many residents pointed out the lack of natural elements, variety, and safety of outdoor space in dwelling area. Finally, this study suggested the several constitution method for the children's activities based on the results of evaluation and survey.

  • Recently, housing consumers are demanding new types of residential housing and environmentally friendly housing. I think that the related issues and problems can be solved by introducing various types of independent housing. Garden is an important space for single family housing, providing calmness and restfulness etc. Furthermore, it provides a green space for our city. According to the result of this paper, I would like to suggest some important conclusions. 1) Residents in single family housing want sufficiently large garden space and they need good design of planting. 2) They are interested in gardening. They also want to have various ideas and information for gardening and need useful skills to prevent their garden from insects and diseases from the garden maintenance companies. 3) Generally, they want to design their garden for the usage of their relaxation and ornamental enjoyment.

  • 국내 최초의 과학위성인 과학기술위성 1호(STSAT-1)의 주 탑재체 원자외선분광기(FIMS; Far-utraviolet IMaging Spectrograph)는 2003년 9월 발사된 이후로, 다양한 관측을 수행하고 있으나 위성체에서 제공하는 자세정보의 시각오차의 문제점이 발견되어 시각오차를 보정하기 위한 연구가 수행되었다. 시각오차의 보정 후에 잘 알려진 천체의 관측결과를 이용하여 FIMS와 위성체 좌표계 사이의 기계적인 정렬오차에 의해 발행하는 FIMS의 시선방향과 위성체에서 제공하는 자세의 차이를 단파장대와 장파장대에 대하여 각각 계산하였다. 또한, 자세정보의 월별 상태 및 정밀도를 조사하였다. FIMS의 관측방법의 특성상 FIMS로부터 얻어진 영상은 위치별로 서로 다른 노출시간을 갖는다. 이러한 노출시간을 보정하는 방법을 기술하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 FIMS 자료분석을 위해 반드시 필요한 내용이며 추후 좀 더 정밀한 자세정보 보정을 위한 참고 자료로 활용될 것이다.

Angular Effect of Virtual Vertices Inserted to Treat The Boundary Edges on an Infinite Conducting Surface

  • This study presents the angular effects of virtual vertices inserted for effective treatment of the boundary edge laid on an infinite conducting surface in a half-space scattering problem. We investigated the angular effects of virtual vertices by first computing the radar cross section (RCS) of a specific scatterer; i.e., a tilted conducting plate in contact with the ground surface, by inserting the virtual vertex in half-space. Here, the electric field integral equation is used to solve this problem with various virtual vertex angles (${\theta}_{\nu}$) and conducting plate inclination angles (${\theta}_r$) ranging from $0^{\circ}$ to $180^{\circ}$. The effects of the angles ${\theta}_{\nu}$ and ${\theta}_r$ on the RCS computation are clearly shown with numerical results with and without the virtual vertices in free- and half-spaces.

효율적 의사결정을 위한 빅데이터 활용 스마트 스페이스 플랫폼 연구 (Smart Space based on Platform using Big Data for Efficient Decision-making)

  • 전 세계 4차 산업혁명의 도래에 맞춰 한국은 적극적으로 국가적 대응계획 I-Korea 4.0을 수립하여 2017년 11월에 발표하였다. 이 계획은 국가성장을 위한 산업혁신과 사회문제 해결을 목표로 하고 있다. 부동산산업도 예외는 아니며 산업혁신을 위해서는 스마트환경에서 주거, 상업, 업무, 복합 등 다양한 가용공간의 효과적 활용이 선행되어야 한다. 이를 위해서는 효율적 의사결정이 필요하고 이는 공간수요자 행태의 실시간 정보와 정확한 예측이 이루어 질 때 가능하다. 이에, 본 연구는 빅데이터 기반 스마트 스페이스 플랫폼을 제안하고 플랫폼의 구조와 서비스를 구체화 시키고자 한다. 스마트 스페이스 플랫폼도 스마트 트래픽, 스마트 시티, 스마트 헬스 등 다양한 스마트환경 적용사례처럼 급속히 발전하고 있는 정보통신기술(ICT)을 이용해 빅데이터의 효율적 저장, 접근, 분석, 활용이 가능하다. 스마트 스페이스 플랫폼의 구조는 6개 레이어 즉, Collection layer, Transfer layer, Storage layer, Service layer, Application layer, Management layer로 구성된다. 이 플랫폼은 의사결정자들이 행위기반(activity-based), 시장기반(market-based), 정책기반(policy-based) 빅데이터를 Searching, Mining, Integrating, Storing, Analyzing, Visualizing 할 수 있는 서비스체계를 가지고 있다.

홈 스마트 미러의 효율적 활용을 위한 사용자 행태 및 니즈 분석 연구 (A Study on Analysis of User Behavior and Needs for Efficient Use of a Home Smart Mirror)

  • Rapid changes to the paradigm of smart media have created a communication environment through merging with various media such as IoT technology, which is internet of things. Among them, user' need for a start home, which is one of people living conditions, has been growing and values of the communication environment in a living space using a smart mirror have been growing. However, studies on figuring out behavior and analyzing needs of family members who actually use the living space are insufficient. This study is to draw the service system of the home smart mirror by analysis of behavior and needs of users of the living space. For a research method for analysis of behavior of family members, I wrote two kinds of user's experience maps, which are frequency of use of a quantitative space of a living space and space's important value scales by persona study and depth interview. Through this, applied spaces of the home smart mirror (living room, bathroom, powder room, dress room, porch, kitchen, room) and the types of user needs (type of providing information, entertainment type, control type, service type) have been drawn and statistical analysis methodology has been utilized for a research of user preferences in regard to correlation between living spaces and types of user needs based on a survey. As a result of analysis of ages and gender, types of user needs by space have been drawn and the service system of the home smart mirror has been drawn. It would be utilized as a basic material for various contents development and design using the smart mirror in the future.

카페공간에서 방문의도성과 대상체의 유무에 따른 관심영역 분석 (An Analyzed the Area of Interest based on the Visiting Intention and Existence of People in Cafe Space)

  • To determine "how humans move in space, what they want, and through which visual information they act and choose," this study aims to define in which sense space is preferred in gaze. The ultimate goal is to extract data of human visual awareness and preference in space. This study analyzed the observation characteristics perceived through observation frequency and time depending on the purpose cafe customers to understand what intension of visiting the space has on the observation characteristics which are the results obtained as information through visual perception. This research methods are as follows. First, the areas of preference in $caf{\acute{e}}$ space gazed by visual concentration are analyzed by divided into 12 by 12 grid A and B images separated depends on existence of people. Second, eye-tracking visual path in conscious gaze is analyzed to examine. Third, though the higher section frequency is likely to have more observation time, the interest area of I(3sec/180), II(6sec/360) and III(9sec/540) had higher frequency of Intention. The followings are the results of this study. First, the time range for searching or wandering and the observation characteristics could be estimated by the meaning of observation time by grade with the time-range out of the distribution of sections. Second, at the time distribution by section, when there was intention, the observation time was found to have higher occupation. In conclusion, this study is to determine the correlation of human concentration gazing at space images. It is an exploratory research on research methodologies, and aims to develop methodologies and provide basic data to plan attractive spaces in light of the subconscious of consumers in the future by interpreting gaze data related to concentration.
