  • In this paper, I tried to analyse the recent trend of Korean translation of Chinese novels. I categorized the korean translation into several types, and tried to reveal the meaning of the "Hiding of Chinese element" phenomenon that has recently emerged in the translation of Internet novels. KOCM has been translating quite a fewChinese Internet novels. One of the publisher's translations, , which has gained considerable popularity in Korea, will be a focus of the analysis. The localization strategy of is quite damaging to the original work. At the same time, however, it also makes it easier for readers to consume novels without experiencing cultural discounts. Therefore, could be considered as a experiment to overcome the cultural gap between the two countries.

  • In this paper, the general electromagnetic design process of a 10-MW-class high-temperature superconducting (HTS) synchronous generator that is intended to be utilized for large scale offshore wind generator is discussed. This paper presents three-dimensional (3D) electromagnetic design proposal and electrical characteristic analysis results of a 10-MW-class HTS synchronous generator for wind power. For more detailed design by reducing the errors of a two-dimensional (2D) design owing to leakage flux in air-gap, we redesign and analyze the 2D conceptual electromagnetic design model of the HTS synchronous generator using 3D finite element analysis (FEA) software. Then electrical characteristics which include the no-load and full-load voltage of generator, harmonic contents of these two load conditions, voltage regulation and losses of generator are analyzed by commercial 3D FEA software.

  • As the housing market is changing, there's a trend that the brand marketing through the TV-CM is increasing. Thus, this study purposes to identify the characteristics and the limit of the marketing on the housing market by analyzing the elements of marketing on TV-CM in the 2000's and comparing the representative business enterprises with each other. In the case of television advertisement, it is dominated by the emotional advertisement which is sensitive and image-oriented than the rational one. In addition, 1 pointed out some problems resulted from the transitional feature of the television advertisement and the gap between the real apartment and its brand image appeared on the advertisement, then I will present corresponding solutions.

  • Magnetization distribution in the ring magnet for BLDC motor is generally nonuniform because the structure of mutipole magnetizer is not symmetry and the air gap is not uniform. In this paper, the effect of the nonuniform magnetization on characteristics of the motor such as torque ripple, unbalanced force and current is examined. Time stepped finite element method is used for electromagnetic field analysis.

  • I employ search-and-matching to a multi-country and multi-sector Ricardian model with input-output linkages, trade in intermediate goods, and sectoral heterogeneity, in order to quantify the welfare effects from tariff changes. The paper shows that labor market frictions can be a source of comparative advantage in the sense that better labor market conditions contribute to lower cost in production. Labor market frictions play a critical role in determining the probability of exporting goods to trading partners, and interact with bilateral trade share, price, expenditures, etc. Unemployment and changes in unemployment rates due to tariff reductions contribute welfare changes across countries, implying that welfare effects based on quantitative trade models with full-employment are likely to be biased. I confirm the biased welfare effects by revisiting Caliendo and Parro (2015), who conduct an analysis of the welfare effects from the NAFTA from 1993 to 2005. I show that the welfare gap between theirs and mine has a positive correlation with changes in observed unemployment rates across countries. With the constructed model, I further conduct counterfactual exercises by asking what would happen if China's tariffs remain unchanged from 2006 to 2015. It turns out that there are mild welfare effects to trading partners in the world trading system.

  • The hydroforming processing is a relatively new technology in comparison with conventional stamping process. The hydroforming processing makes torsion beam in rear suspension of automobile. The durability of torsion beam is very important characteristic that operate in an automobile. In order to optimize the hydroforming process and satisfy the durability, the hydroforming simulation which could control an axial compression and high internal pressure with computer simulation has to be operated. This paper is about an optimum design to improve the kinematic and compliance characteristics of a torsion-beam of suspension system. The result from finite element analysis shows that the forming and the durability are optimized. If there is effect of First pressure in hydroforming processing that gap is in the die tool, the prototype of tube is not satisfied on the durability test.

  • The onset of instability induced by impulsive spin-down of the rigid-body flow placed in the gap between two coaxial cylinders is analyzed by using the energy method. In the present stability analysis the growth rate of the kinetic energy of the base state and also that of disturbances are taken into consideration. In the present system the primary flow is a transient, laminar one. But for the Reynolds number equal or larger than a certain one, i.e. $Re{\geq}Re_G$ secondary motion sets in, starting at a certain time. For $Re{\geq}Re_G$ the dimensionless critical time to mark the onset of vortex instabilities, ${\tau}_c$, is here presented as a function of the Reynolds number Re and the radius ratio ${\eta}$. For the wide gap case of small ${\eta}$, the transient instability is possible in the range of $Re_G{\leq}Re{\leq}Re_S$. It is found that the predicted ${\tau}_c$-value is much smaller than experimental detection time of first observable secondary motion. It seems evident that small disturbances initiated at ${\tau}_c$ require some growth period until they are detected experimentally.

  • Using a CFD (computational fluid dynamics) simulation tool, we have offered a design guideline of a slot-die head having a simple T-shaped cavity through an analysis of the fluid dynamics in terms of cavity pressure and outlet velocity, which affect the uniformity of coated thin films. We have visualized the fluid flow with a transparent slot-die head where poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(4-styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) is injected. We have shown that the fluid dynamics inside the slot-die head depends sensitively on the cavity depth, cavity length, land length, and channel gap (i.e., shim thickness). Of those, the channel gap is the most critical parameter that determines the uniformity of the pressure and velocity distributions. A pressure drop inside the cavity is shown to be reduced with decreasing shim thickness. To quantify it, we have also calculated the coefficient of variation (CV). In accordance with Hagen-Poiseuille's laws and electron-hydraulic analogy, the CV value is decreased with increasing cavity depth, cavity length, and land length.

  • Two-directional functionally graded materials (2D-FGMs) show extraordinary physical properties which makes them ideal candidates for designing smart micro-switches. Pull-in instability is one of the most critical challenges in the design of electrostatically-actuated microswitches. The present research aims to bridge the gap in the static pull-in instability analysis of microswitches composed of 2D-FGM. Euler-Bernoulli beam theory with geometrical nonlinearity effect (i.e. von-Karman nonlinearity) in conjunction with the modified couple stress theory (MCST) are employed for mathematical formulation. The micro-switch is subjected to electrostatic actuation with fringing field effect and Casimir force. Hamilton's principle is utilized to derive the governing equations of the system and corresponding boundary conditions. Due to the extreme nonlinear coupling of the governing equations and boundary conditions as well as the existence of terms with variable coefficients, it was difficult to solve the obtained equations analytically. Therefore, differential quadrature method (DQM) is hired to discretize the obtained nonlinear coupled equations and non-classical boundary conditions. The result is a system of nonlinear coupled algebraic equations, which are solved via Newton-Raphson method. A parametric study is then implemented for clamped-clamped and cantilever switches to explore the static pull-in response of the system. The influences of the FG indexes in two directions, length scale parameter, and initial gap are discussed in detail.

  • This paper present a general computation taking into account the slotting effect on the magnetic field due to permanent magnet in surface mounted permanent magnet machine. The analytical method is based on the solution of Laplace's and Poisson's equations (by the separation of variables technique) for each subdomain, i.e., magnets, air gap, and slots. The general solution is obtained using boundary and continuity conditions. The analytical results are in very good agreement with those obtained by the FEA, considering both amplitude and waveform.
