Preisach 모델을 이용한 MR 유체의 히스테리시스 특성 고찰 (Hysterisis Investigation of Magnetorheological Fluid Using Preisach Model)

  • This paper presents a new approach for hysteresis modeling of a magnetorheological (MR) fluid. The field-dependent hysteresis of MR fluid is investigated using the Preisach model. The commercial MR Product (MRF-132LD, Lord Corporation) is employed. Its field-dependent shear stress is then obtained using a rheometer (MCR 300, Physica). In order to show the applicability of the Preisach model to the MR fluid, two significant Properties; the minor loop property and the wiping-out property are experimentally examined. Subsequently, the Preisach model for the MR fluid is identified using experimental first order descending (FOD) curves in discrete manner. The effectiveness of the identified hysteresis model is verified in the time domain by comparing the predicted field-dependent shear stress with the measured one. In addition, the hysteresis model proposed in this work is compared to Bingham model.

  • A new model of dynamic hysteresis loops is presented. The model is a TSK fuzzy model and can be identified by using input-output data obtained from hysteresis loop systems. The model is shown to exhibit an increase in area of the loop with frequency, which is a hysteretic property.

  • A piezoelectric actuator yields hysteresis effect due to its composed ferroelectric. Hysteresis nonlinearty is neglected when a piezoelectric actuator moves with short stroke. However when it moves with long stroke and high frequency, the hysteresis nonlinearty can not be neglected. The hysteresis nonlinearty of piezoelectric actuator degrades the control performance in precision position control. In this paper, in order to improve the control performance of piezoelectric actuator, an inverse modeling scheme is proposed to compensate the hysteresis nonlinearty problem.   • In hysteresis simulation, the Preisach model is most widely used as the reliability. However, since the first-order transition curves used in the conventional Preisach model are very inconvenient for actual measurement, many researches have been made to simplify them. In this study, the minor loops obtained along the initial magnetization curve are used to obtain the Everett function used in the Preisach model. In other words, The Everett table is constructed by using the minor loops, and are applied to the magnetization dependent Preisach model to reconstruct the Everett table. In order to minimize the error, the spline interpolation method is used to complete the final Everett table and the hysteresis loop simulation is performed with the Everett table. Furthermore, it is applied to the inductor analysis to perform not only sinusoidal wave and square wave drive but also PWM wave drive considering hysteresis. The validity of the proposed method is confirmed by comparison with simulation and experiment.

  • This paper presents hysteresis models of damping forces of a magneto-rheological (MR) damper which is applicable to a middle-sized passenger vehicle. After manufacturing a cylindrical type of the MR damper, its field-dependant damping force and hysteresis behavior are experimentally evaluated. Three different models ; Bingham model, Bouc-Wen model and Polynomial model are provided to predict the hysteretic damping force. The damping force characteristics predicted from three different models are compared with the measured results under various excitation conditions.

  • To evaluate the seismic performance of multistory building structures use an equivalent SDOF model. This paper presents a method of converting a MDOF system into an equivalent SDOF model. The principal objective of this investigation is to evaluate appropriateness of converting method through perform nonlinear time history analysis of a multistory building structures and an equivalent SDOF model. The hysteresis rules to be used an equivalent SDOF model is obtained from the pushover analysis. The conclusion of this study is following; A method of converting a MDOF system into an equivalent SDOF model through the nonlinear time history response analysis is valid. The representative lateral displacement of a moment resisting reinforced concrete frames is close to the height of the first modal participation vector $_1$$\beta$$_1$u}=1. It can be found that the hysteresis rule of an equivalent SDOF model have influence on the time history response. Therefore, it is necessary for selecting hysteresis rules to consider hysteresis characteristics of a moment resisting reinforced concrete frames.

  • Piezoelectric actuators exhibit limited accuracy in tracking control due to their hysteresis nonlinearity. In this study a digital tracking control approach for a piezoelectric actuator based on incorporating a feedback linearization loop with a PID feedback controller is presented. The hysteresis nonlinearity of the piezoelectric actuator is modeled in the feedback compensation loop using the Maxwell slip model. Experiments were performed on a piezoelectric 2-axis linear positioner for tracking linearly decaying sinusoidal waveforms and circles. The experimental results show that the tracking control performance is noticeably improved by augmenting the feedback loop with a model of hysteresis in the feedback compensation loop.

승용차 동력전달계의 히스테리시스 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Hysteresis Effects on a Passenger Car Driveline)

  • A friction damper is installed in the passenger car driveline in order to dissipate the torsional vibration energy. The frictional damping hysteresis has considerable influences on the driveline vibration characteristics and, therefore, it is one of the most important parameters in the damper design. To investigate the hysteresis effects on the driveline vibration, a dynamic model of the passenger car driveline with manual transmission has developed, and simulations were executed on the several different driving conditions for various hysteresis values. To verify the model, vehicle tests are preformed and the test data were compared with the simulations results. The simulation and test results show good agreements and the model could be used to determine the optimal hyteresis values in early design stage of the damper.

  • In this paper, we proposed an inverse hysteresis model to cancel the nonlinear hysteresis phenomenon of a piezoelectric actuator and design a feedback control system based on the inverse hysteresis model. The piezoelectric actuator performs much better in open-loop response. However, the nonlinear hysteresis phenomenon should be linearized and the closed-loop control should be executed to get the required performance in the area, where high-speed and high-accuracy are required. Thus, it is shown by simulation that a good position tracking performance can be obtained for the repetitive desired position trajectory.

  • This paper presents hydraulic model which can capture the hysteric damping force behavior of ER damper. A flow mode rue ER damper is manufactured, and its field-dependent damping forces are measured. Newly proposed hydraulic model which derived from physical hydro-mechanical parameters of ER damper are conventional Bingham model are investigated to represent the field-dependent damping force characteristics of ER damper. After principal parameters of two models are estimated from the measured damping forces data, the force vs velocity hysteresis cycles are then reconstructed. The results show that the proposed hydraulic model can capture the hysteresis behavior of ER damper accurately.
