For a large organization such as a military service which can foresee future growths in its manpower requirements, a systematic tool that can provide analysis of its present manpower structure and policies in terms of meeting the future requirements, is in order today. This paper proposes a network model for such a purpose. The ROK Navy officer corps manpower system is studied and formulated as a network model, which may be expressed as a linear programming problem of minimizing total cost. An appropriate cost concept is developed and the out-of-kilter algorithm of Ford and Fulkerson is computer programmed to be used as a solution procedure for this network problem. A case study is conducted with a set of hypothetical data on a possible Navy combat-line specialty manpower problem.

The meso-scale microstructure of the $Ni-Ni_3Al- Ni_3V$ system is crucial to obtain both high strength and high toughness. Its evolution may be predicted with the aid of computer simulation of the compositional separation for heat-treated alloys. In this study, computer simulations of the hypothetical A-B-C ternary system, which is similar to the $Ni-Ni_3Al- Ni_3V$ system in terms of phase equilibria, have been performed using the kinetic modeling. Simulated morphologies were changed with nominal compositions and model parameters. It was showed the current model was useful and the more realistic model was proposed.

In this paper, a three-dimensional eco-epidemiological model with delay is considered. The stability of the two equilibria, the existence of Hopf bifurcation and the permanence are investigated. It is found that Hopf bifurcation occurs when the delay ${\tau}$ passes though a sequence of critical values. The estimation of the length of delay to preserve stability has also been calculated. Numerical simulation with a hypothetical set of data has been done to support the analytical findings.

In this study, a novel parallel wavefront correction system architecture is proposed, and a model-based tabu search (MBTS) algorithm is introduced for this new system to compensate wavefront aberration caused by atmospheric turbulence in a free-space optical (FSO) communication system. The algorithm flowchart is presented, and a simple hypothetical design for the parallel correction system with multiple adaptive optical (AO) subsystems is given. The simulated performance of MBTS for an AO-FSO system is analyzed. The results indicate that the proposed algorithm offers better performance in wavefront aberration compensation, coupling efficiency, and convergence speed than a stochastic parallel gradient descent (SPGD) algorithm.

본 연구에서는 earth dam의 파괴로부터 야기되는 유출수문곡선을 유도하고, 홍수파가 자연하도를 통하여 하류로 전파되어 나가는 과정을 추적하기 위하여 dynamic wave equation을 구성하고, 이 식을 Preissmann scheme과 double sweep법을 이용하여 해석하는 DBF(Dam Break Floodwave) 요형을 개발하였다. 본 모형을 Teton dam에 적용하여 댐 파괴로 인한 홍수파의 첨두수위, 청두유량, 도달시간 및 범람 범위 등을 계산하였고, 실측자료와의 비교검토를 통하여 본 모형의 적용성을 입증하였다.

The relationship between areal total phosphorus(TP) and areal hydraulic loading was identified and used as defining the trophic state of the reservoir. And three simple, conceptual TP models were tested against the measured in-reservoir TP concentration. The analyses were based on water quality data measured in the Ki Heung reservoir for two years. The results showed that Ki Heung reservoir has undergone eutrophic state, and Dillon's and Vollenweider's TP models were in close agreement with the measured annual mean TP concentration. However, the OECD's model understimated the measured annual mean TP concentration in the Ki Heung reservor. A discussion is given for the hypothetical application of TP loading plot which might be useful for establishing the TP control program in the resavoirs/lakes.

After the successful extension of the rotating planar waveguide model to Wave Optics, where a clear identification between the angular velocity of one hypothetical waveguide and the phase differences between two points on the path of one bounded mode was found, an application of the model to explain the interference theory is presented. We demonstrate that, for two bounded modes to create an interference pattern, a constrain to the relative parameters among both is imposed by the fiber optics. This result, not reported in the literature up to date, provides a new horizon to understand the interaction light-light when propagated within optical fibers.

The subject of sediment transport has been studied for centuries by engineers and river morpohologists. Many of the complex aspects of sediment transport are yet to be understood, and remain among the challenging subject for future studies. In this study, the finite element model is applied to various hypothetical channels. On the basis of the flow analysis results, sediment transport analysis is conducted using 3-different optional equations, and the results are compared with experimental results. For the purpose of predicting the sediment movements in natural river, RMA model is applied to Geum-River. It turned out to be very effective tool to predict various aspects of river evolution and the effects of hydraulic structures. The simulation results are also linked to the Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Purpose: This study examined the fitness of a path model for the relationship among daily life stress, problem of life, social support, depression, and suicidal ideation in adolescents. Methods: The subjects consisted of 247 adolescents. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires. The data were analyzed by the SPSS and AMOS programs. Results: Daily life stress, problem of life, social support, and depression showed direct effects on suicidal ideation in adolescents, while daily life stress and problem of life showed indirect effects on suicidal ideation in adolescents. Daily life stress and problem of life showed direct effects on social support and depression in adolescents. The hypothetical path model of adolescents' suicidal ideation was proven correct. Conclusion: Based on the outcomes of this study, it is necessary to design an intervention program that emphasizes the reduction of daily life stress, problem of life, depression and enhancement social support in order to prevention adolescents' suicidal ideation.

With the huge tendency of users toward online web sites, many issues regarding the user behavior interacting with these websites are yet still underestimated and not addressed in all aspects from software developers or business organizations. In this paper, we solely focus on the usability analysis of social network websites to enhance and improve the use of these social websites for more effective and motivational interaction. We use T-Model procedure as a mechanism of this research. Subjects with variation of expertise are contributed to the research of this paper. Minor quantitative analysis will be employed to test the hypothetical of this research in the further research. Result and its implications will be discussed profoundly at the end of this research.
