A Study on the Remodeling for Improvement of Acoustic Performance at Indoor Swimming Pool (실내수영장 음향성능 개선을 위한 리모델링에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, in accordance with the interesting on well-being as well as the revitalization of living athletics, it is current tendency that people who use the swimming pools are on increasing. However, because the most of indoor swimming pools have ever used the reflection finishing materials likely as the tile due to the property of its hydrophilic space, the inside of indoor swimming pool is vibrating too much, and some problem which the voice and music do not delivering clearly is occurring when swimming lessons or underwater aerobics(synchronized swimming) and swimming game. Based on such viewpoint, locating the object on actually built indoor swimming pool, this Study has ever grasped its physical acoustic property, and finally designed the indoor swimming pool that contains an optimum acoustic condition, by remodelling it through an acoustic simulation. It is considered that such study result could be utilized as the useful materials when constructing the similar indoor swimming pool, hereafter.

  • 본 논문에서는 질화갈륨 (GaN) 표면에 나노-스피어 리소그라피를 가능하게 하기 위하여 친수성으로 개질을 시도하였다. 플라즈마 처리 공정 변수인 공정 파워, 처리시간을 변화시키면서 표면을 개질하였으며, 친수성 개질을 확인하기 위하여 접촉각 및 표면 자유 에너지 변화를 측정 계산하였다. 또한 FT-IR 분석을 통하여 표면 작용기를 확인하였다. 최종적으로 본 실험의 결과로 얻어진 친수성이 질화갈륨 표면의 나노-스피어 리소그라피에 얼마나 큰 영향을 주는지 표면 모폴리지를 SEM을 이용하여 관찰하였다.

  • Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) is a representative hydrophilic and water-soluble polymer and widely employed in various applications such as fibers for clothes and industries, films, membranes, medicines for drug delivery system, and cancer cell-killing embolic materials. Moreover, PVA fibers, gels, and films are potentially high-performance materials because they have high tensile and impact strengths, high tensile modulus, high abrasion resistance, excellent alkali resistance, and oxygen barrier property which are superior to those of any known polymers[1,2].   • This study is undertaken to investigate the effect of positive charge on the premeation characteristics of quaternary ammonium polysulfone (AMPS) membrane. AMPS membrane having a hydrophilic property was less fouled than PSf membrane. AMPS membrane had a positive charge and was thought to be able to expel charged solutes, such as basic dyes, proteins and amino acids, having same sign as the membrane surface.

  • The BON thin films were grown on the Si substrate by the RF-PECVD method. When stored at the room temperature, the phase separation or transition of BON thin films occurred on the surface, due to the hydrophilic property of BON. The oxidation of BON thin films occurred mainly by the evaporation of B, O and N. The oxidized BON thin films consisted of an amorphous phase and a bit of the polycrystalline phase.

  • Sorption/desorption studies were conducted to determine sorption/desorption characteristics of phenolic compounds (phenol and 4-chlorophenol) in organically modified natural bentonite. The cationic exchange capacity (CEC) of bentonite was exchanged with a cationic surfactant, hexadecyltrimethylammonium (HDTMA), to enhance the removal capacity of organic phenol contaminants dissolved in aqueous solution. This modification produces a change of the surface property of bentonite from hydrophilic to organophilic. The single-solute and bi-solute competitive adsorptions were performed In batch mode to investigate the removal of two toxic organic Phenols, chlorophenol and 4-chlorophenol on the HDTMA-bentonite. The adsorption affinity of the 4-chlorophenol was higher than phenol due to higher octanol:water partition coefficient (Kow). The single-solute and bi-solute competitive desorptions were also performed investigate the competitive desorption of the phenolic compounds from HDTMA-bentonite. Freundlich model was used to analyze the single-solute adsorption/desorption results, while the IAST model predicted the hi-solute adsorption/desorption equilibria. The IAST model well predicted hi-solute competitive adsorption/desorption behaviors.

  • The hardening system of polyurethanes has usually caused by air pollution. bad working condition and fire hazard according to using orgarnic solvents. Therefore there have been researched on emulsion, water soluble and colloid-dispersion based water soluble instead of using organic solvents recently. This study synthesized polyurethane dispersing particle by means of mixing precursor and neutralized emulsion method. In the first step, polyurethane was preparated from isophorone diisocyanate and poly (ethylene-adipate) glycol, and got precursor by introducing dimethyl propionic acid as a hydrophilic group. Synthesized polyurethane was bonded to the surface of fiber and crosslinked as a anti-static agent, and then looked for the change of color and softening property.

Influence of the Type and Blending Ratio of Binders on Ink-jet Printing Properties (바인더의 종류 및 배합비율이 잉크제트 인쇄특성에 미치는 영향)

  • In this paper, PVA(polyvinylalcohol), oxidized starch and SBR latex were used as binders for ink-jet printing papers, and their effects of the type and blending ratio of binders on ink-jet printing properties were compared. In case of coating color using PVA mainly used for a binder in ink-jet printing, spreading of printed letters decreased and excellent images were manifested resulting from strong hydrophilic of PVA. However, increasing solids content of coating color was somewhat limited because of the interaction of PVA and functional groups in silica as well as high molecular weight of PVA. When oxidized starch and SBR latex were mixed with PVA at desirable ratio to solve these problems, runnability in coating process was improved and good printing properties were shown. Gloss was improved when latex was used along with PVA as a binder because of the thermoplastic property of the latex. From this result, possibilities of high solids content and high gloss ink-jet printing papers were investigated.

Structure of Water Molecules inside Nanotubes with Varying Hydrophobicity Using Mole cular Dynamics Simulation (분자동역학 기법을 이용한 나노튜브의 소수성 또는 친수성에 의한 내부 물 분자의 구조 연구)

  • Nanotubes fabricated with diverse materials show different hydrophobic properties. The hydrophobic property is one of key properties for possible applications to ion channels due to their affinity. This study focuses on the structures of water molecules inside nanotubes with varying hydrophobicity using molecular dynamics simulation. Hydrophobicity here is determined by varying the attraction term in Lennard-Jones potential. The number of water molecules inside hydrophilic nanotubes increase, as expected, and their mobilities also increase. This trend is rather discrete with increasing number of water molecules and this discreteness is attributed to hydrogen bond. We plan to perform energy analysis to understand these structural results.
