수소충전소와 수소전기차간의 안전통신을 위한 WiFi 프로토콜 비교 (Comparison of WiFi Protocols for Safety Communication Between Hydrogen Refueling Station and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle)

  • 수소충전소와 수소전기차 간의 통신 프로토콜인 SAE J2601과 SAE J2799는 수소 충전에 관련된 내용만을 다루고 있다. 본 논문에서는 수소전기차의 수소검출, 전류, 전압을 측정하여, 수소충전소로 WiFi 프로토콜을 변화시켜 가면서 센서 데이터를 전송한다. 수소전기차의 센싱, 제어 및 센서 데이터 전송을 위해, 라즈베리파이를 이용하여 소규모 실험실 모델을 만들었다. 센서 데이터를 수소충전소의 데이터베이스에 저장하였고, 저장된 데이터 분석을 위해 그라파나를 이용하여 대쉬보드를 구성하였다. 수소가 검출되면 수소충전소의 디스펜서 밸브를 잠근다. 그리고 WiFi 프로토콜에 따른 평균 전송 지연을 측정하였다. 전송 지연 측정 결과, 수소충전소와 수소전기차간의 센서 데이터 전송을 위한 WiFi 프로토콜은 IEEE 802.11a가 가장 적합하였다.

수소 취급설비의 폭발위험장소에 관한 연구 (A Study on Explosive Hazardous Areas in Hydrogen Handling Facility)

  • Safety of hydrogen handling facilities is needed as supply of hydrogen cars has been expanded recently. In this study, the adequacy of safety regulations of hydrogen handling facilities and the risk of damage with hydrogen leakage were studied. The range of explosion hazard location of the hydrogen filling plant was investigated using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method, Explosive hazardous area is influenced by leakage type, hole size and sectional area. When the conditions of KS standard are applied, range explosive hazardous area is expanded 7.05 m, maximum. It is about 7 times larger than exceptional standard of hydrogen station. Meanwhile, distance from leakage point to 25% LEL of hydrogen is investigated 1.6 m. Considering the shape of charging hose, regulation of hydrogen station is appropriate.

  • UAE is first country in Middle East to approve UN Paris Climate Agreement. Ministry of Climate Change and Environment of UAE announced National Climate Change Plan for carbon reduction to replace 24% by clean energy. Dubai open its first hydrogen station in UAE and Middle East in 2017, and Abu Dhabi planed to open second hydrogen station in 2019 but not realized. Korean government announced hydrogen economy roadmap in 2019 and various hydrogen cooperation are realized between UAE, Korea, Germany, USA, and Japan. MOU between Ministry of State of UAE and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Korea in 2019 for the cooperation of hydrogen city. This study propose strategies for the 'Hydrogen Based Public Transport in UAE' by the support of Korea government considering various stakeholder.

  • Recently, a hydrogen charging station-related memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between Korea Transport Institute and United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Transport in Abu Dhabi, creating a foundation for exporting green hydrogen charging stations and hydrogen powered public transit buses developed with Korean technology to Abu Dhabi. Reliable construction and operation of the charging stations require a thorough review on associated standards and legal requirements. In particular, it is essential to analyze currently effective standards related to hydrogen production, hydrogen vehicle charging, and hydrogen charging stations. This paper specifically focuses on comparative analysis of hydrogen-related standards in the UAE and the Republic of Korea. Similar to UAE, Korean hydrogen charging station-related standards follow International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards. From real-life experiences in developing and operating charging stations, even more essence of ISO standards have been adopted in Korean standards than UAE. In particular, ISO standards related to fire prevention are additionally included in Korea. This paper also suggests procedural and administrative strategies for enabling application of Korean hydrogen charging station-related standards in UAE.

수소충전소 및 수소자동차의 사고 시나리오 개발 (Development of Accident Scenarios for Hydrogen Refueling Station and Fuel Cell Vehicle)

  • The registration rate of eco-friendly vehicles, such as hydrogen vehicles, is increasing rapidly, however, few first responders have experienced related accidents. Accident scenarios at hydrogen refueling stations and hydrogen vehicles on a road were investigated, and the relative importance of each scenario was analyzed using AHP analysis. Leakage, jet flame, and explosion that occurred inside and outside the hydrogen refueling station were reviewed, and the hydrogen gas explosion in the compartment showed the highest importance value. In case of the hydrogen vehicle, traffic accident statistics and actual accidents were used. It was analyzed that the hydrogen vessel explosion on the road due to the failure of TPRD and the leakage in the underground parking area were difficult to respond. The developed accident scenarios are expected to be used for first responder training.

  • The use of fossil is causing enviromental all over the world. So hydrogen energy is attracting attention as one of the alternative. The government announced that 30% of the air pollution is because of the Internal Combustion Engine Vehicle. In addition, they plans to reduce Internal Combustion Engine Vehicles by 2030 and increase (electric vehicles, EV) or (fuel cell vehicle, FCV). The FCV is evaluated as a next-generation green car because it has a long driving distance and short charging time. However, the hydrogen industry is not able to expand due to the lack of refueling infrastrucutre. This paper predicts the site of hydrogen refueling stations for the expansion of the hydrogen industry and proposes a method to supply hydrogen multi energy filling stations.

  • In this study, $20Nm^3/hr$ scale compact hydrogen generator which can be apply to the hydrogen station was tested for hydrogen station application. $20Nm^3/hr$ scale compact hydrogen generator was developed by upgrading concept of stacking plate reactor from former $20Nm^3/hr$ scale plate hydrogen generator. concepts for improving system efficiency and performance include such as idea of heat recovery from the exhaust, exhaust duct which is especially design for plate type reactor reinforcement of insulation, enlargement of heat exchange area of reactor, introduction of desulphurizer reactor and PROX rector in a compact design, introduction of back fire protection structure of plate burner and so on, We can learn that final prototype of scale-up $20Nm^3/hr$ scale compact hydrogen generator can be operated steadily in 100% road at which over 94% of methane conversion(S/C=3.75) was obtained. In case of making up the weak point, we expect that it is possible to apply to hydrogen station by way of showing an example.

  • After reviewing the current status of hydrogen buses and hydrogen charging stations in the United States, as well as related laws and programs, it was found that the federal and state governments supported the supports of hydrogen buses and the deployment of hydrogen charging infrastructure through various policies and programs. In order to promote the spread of domestic and overseas hydrogen buses and hydrogen charging infrastructure, it is necessary to develop and apply various legal systems and programs that can provide incentives to hydrogen bus manufacturers, hydrogen charging station installers, hydrogen bus operating organizations and entities.   • 본 연구에서는 수소충전소에 대한 교육 및 가상체험 프로그램을 구축하였으며, 수소와 안전모듈, 수소 충전소 모듈, 가상현실 체험공간 모듈 및 전문가 그룹을 대상으로 한 사고 시나리오 모듈 4가지로 구성되었다. 본 프로그램을 통해 사용자는 수소충전소 이론과 운전상태를 간접적으로 체험하고, 수소충전소 관련 정보를 습득할 수 있다. 또한 수소충전소에서 발생이 가능한 다양한 유형의 사고 시나리오 체험과 수소충전소의 안전운전과 사고대응을 위한 emergency response plan 및 standard operating procedure를 습득하여 관련 종사자에게 실질적인 사고발생 메커니즘과 그에 따른 대응방안에 대한 교육 및 안전홍보가 가능하다. 본 연구를 통하여 개발된 버츄얼리얼리티 프로그램은 수소에너지 시장도입에 필수적인 수소충전소 기술개발 및 건설 활성화에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

수소-LPG 복합충전소 정량적 위험성평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Quantitative Risk Assessment of Hydrogen-LPG Combined Refueling Station)

  • 본 연구에서는 수소 복합충전소에 대하여 정량적 위험성 평가를 실시하였다. 평가대상의 복합충전소는 수소-LPG이며 각 충전소의 설비 구성을 분석하고 위험도를 평가하였다. 최종 위험도는 피해영향과 사고빈도를 고려한 개인적 위험성과 사회적 위험성으로 평가한다. 본 연구의 대상이 된 수소-LPG 충전소에 대한 개인적 위험도 산출 결과, 수소-LPG 형태의 복합충전소는 HSE에서 제안하고 있는 허용 불가수준의 위험지역(> 1×10E-3)은 나타나고 있지 않으며, 작업자와 일반인에 대한 개인적 위험수준이 모두 허용범위 내에 분포하고 있다. 그리고 사회적 위험도 평가에서는 해석대상 모델이 허용 가능한 범위(ALARP, As Low As Reasonably Practicable)의 위험도 분포를 보이고 있다. 보다 향상된 안전성 확보를 위해 위험도 순위화 결과에서 높은 위험도를 보이고 있는 수소 저장용기, 디스펜서, 튜브트레일러 누출 및 LPG의 Vapour 회수 라인 등에 대한 정기적인 점검 및 확인을 권장한다.
