We have concentrated on the performance improvement of each part for durability, safety and cost of high pressure storage system for fuel cell vehicle so far. But for the mass production of fuel cell vehicle, it is necessary to evaluate durability and safety in system module. We built the standard to evaluate and collision safety of high pressure storage system for fuel cell vehicle, and could verify reliability of high pressure storage system.
A fuel cell vehicle has the hydrogen detection sensors for checking the hydrogen leakage because it use hydrogen for its fuel and can't use a odorant to protect the fuel cell stack. To verify the hydrogen safety of leakage we select the high possible leak points of fittings in hydrogen storage system and test the leaking behavior at them. The hydrogen leakage flow rate is 10, 40, 118 NL/min and the criterion for maximum hydrogen leakage is based on allowing an equivalent release of combustion energy as permitted by gasoline vehicles in FMVSS301. There are total 18EA hydrogen leakage detection sensors installed in test system. we acquire the hydrogen leakage detection time and determine the ranking. Hydrogen leakage detection time decrease when hydrogen leakage flow rate increase. The minimum hydrogen leakage detection time is about 3 seconds when the flow rate is 118NL/min. In this study, we optimize hydrogen sensor position in fuel cell vehicle and verify the hydrogen leakage safety because there is no inflow inside the vehicle.
This study focuses on the performance of hydrogen energy based hybrid system in terms of system reliability of electricity generation. With this aim to evaluate the off-grid system of photovoltaic (PV), wind turbine, electrolyzer, fuelcell, $H_2$ tank and storage batteries, 14 different sites in South Korea are simulated using HOMER. Performance analysis includes simulation on the different sites, verification of operational behaviors on regional and seasonal basis, and comparison among a control group. The result shows that the generation performance of hydrogen powered fuelcell is greatly affected by geographical change rather than seasonal effect. In addition, as the latitude of the hybrid systems location decrease, renewable power output and penetration ratio (%) increase under constant electrical load. Therefore, the hydrogen based hybrid system creates the stability of electricity generation, which best suits in the southern part of South Korea.

Hydrogen, as a future energy source, is thought as an alternative of fossil fuel in view of environment and energy security. Hydrogen has the properties of both fuel and electricity so that it can make the energy paradigm shift in the future. Therefore, researches on hydrogen in power system area are essential and urgent due to their huge effects on current paradigm. In this paper, the visions and technical challenges of hydrogen in power system are reviewed as energy storage, dispersed generation (DG), DC generator, and combined heat and power (CHP).
In this paper, a three-dimensional hydrogen desorption model is developed to precisely study the hydrogen desorption kinetics and resultant heat and mass transport phenomena in metal hydride hydrogen storage vessels. The metal hydride hydrogen desorption model, i.e. governed by the conservation of mass, momentum, and thermal energy is first experimentally validated against the temperature evolution data measured on a cylindrical $LaNi_5$ metal hydride vessel. The equilibrium pressure used for hydrogen desorption simulations is derived as a function of H/M atomic ratio and temperature based on the experimental data in the literature. The numerical simulation results agree well with experimental data and the 3D desorption model successfully captures key experimental trends during hydrogen desorption process. Both the simulation and experiment display an initial sharp decrease in the temperature mainly caused by relatively slow heat supply rate from the vessel external wall. On the other hand, the effect of heat supply becomes influential at the latter stages, leading to smooth increase in the vessel temperature in both simulation and experiment. This numerical study provides the fundamental understanding of detailed heat and mass transfer phenomena during hydrogen desorption process and further indicates that efficient design of storage vessel and heating system is critical to achieve fast hydrogen discharging performance.
Thermal decomposition of Ammonia Borane have been investigated with various analytical methods including TGA, TP-MS, DSC. By-products such as aminoborane and borazine were identified during hydrogen release by TGA, TP-MS analysis. $H_2$ release amount was measured at each temperature isothermally, which resulted in 7 wt% $H_2$ release at 130$^{\circ}C$. Moreover, higher temperature enhanced hydrogen release kinetics leading to shortened induction period from 20 min at 95$^{\circ}C$ to 0 min at 130$^{\circ}C$. Melting and decomposition at close temperature (4$^{\circ}C$ difference) caused the formation of thin foam during hydrogen release. Suppression of by-products and thin foam formation during hydrogen release is suggested as critical issues to realize chemical hydrogen storage system with ammonia borane.
As the application of multirotor grows, the demands for multirotor that can fly longer and load more are increasing. Hydrogen has a high energy density, so it can satisfy these demands when used in multirotor. In order to design hydrogen fueled multirotor that satisfies the desired flight time and payload, it is important to calculate the specifications of a fuel cell, battery, and hydrogen storage system. This paper contains detailed information on various energy systems used in multirotor and fuel cell powered multirotor research trends. This study proposed a sizing calculation method that meets the target flight time and payload using thrust and power equations. It has been explained how the two equations derive the particular specifications. The specifications of the multirotor were derived by assuming a payload of 50 kg and a flight time of 1 hour. In addition, the effects of the values of the fuel cell, hydrogen storage system, and motor propeller were analyzed.

Recently, the ever-increasing use of fossil fuels for rapid industrial development and population significantly caused an environment pollution and global warming such as climate change. So research and development of sustainable and eco-friendly energy have been performed. Especially the interest in nuclear fusion fuel was significantly increased from the developed countries. The system of fusion energy production was tritium separation, storage and delivery, and purification. Republic of Korea is in charge of Storage and Delivery System (SDS) in the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER). Welding part of the SDS bottles for storing the tritium is known to be susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement. In this study, conducted a study for the relaxation of the stability and hydrogen embrittlement of the weld area. The hydrogen heat treatment was processed through the Pressure-Composition-Temperature (PCT) device according to the time variation. Also mechanical properties such as impact test and hardness test according to using the alkaline cleaning liquid for hydrogen embrittlement relief and the fracture was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) after the mechanical properties evaluation.
