  • The Paper presents theoretical and experimental investigation of plunger type water hydraulic pump (plunger pump). An analysis of Crank shaft for plunger pump is carried out. With this results, the optimal dimensions of plunger pump are determined. And performance test results about slide resistance, hydraulic leak test, efficiency-pressure. and flow-speed and flow-pressure are presented.

  • The failures such as leakage and burst stemmed from the repetitive motions of bending and stretching of the assembly of hydraulic hose in construction machines, agriculture machines, vehicles, and industrial heavy machines can induce big troubles. Therefore, the hydraulic hose itself eventually requires an estimation of life to operate the hydraulic system safely. In this research, we have qualitatively selected the efficient test items by the analysis of the life and potential failures of hydraulic hose. We have used more than seven of hydraulic hoses simultaneously for the research. We have applied impulse pressure and half omega flexing motions to the accelerated life testing Test results have been expressed by employing weibull plot.

  • 연소 중 고압의 환경에 노출되는 밸브의 구조적 강도를 평가하기 위해 수압시험을 수행하였다. 수압 시험에서의 보증압력은 MEOP의 1.05배를 적용하였다. 총 2조의 밸브로 수압시험을 수행하였으며, 시험 시 가압조건에 따른 밸브의 변형률 계측결과를 유한요소해석 결과와 비교 검증하였다. 유한요소해석과 수압시험 결과의 오차는 약 20%이내이며, 소성변형은 발생하지 않았다.

대형제방실험을 통한 Hydraulic well의 효용성 검증 (Verification of the Effectiveness of Hydraulic well through Large-scale Embankment Test)

  • 본 논문은 하천 제방의 침투방지공법으로 일본 미쓰야마 하천 국도 사무소에서 제시한 월륜 공법에 대한 효용성을 연구한 것으로, Hydraulic well의 현장 적용성과 시공성 개선, 침투압 분포 특성을 파악하기 위하여 대형 제방실험과 침투 해석을 수행하였다. 대형제방실험의 방법은 제외지 수위를 재현하여 제방을 포화시킨 후 제방의 간극수압계 변화를 감지, hydraulic well의 내부 수위를 0.1 m ~ 0.7m로 변화하고 이때 간극수압계를 통해 측정된 간극수압을 비교하여 침투압의 변화를 확인하였다. 대형 제방실험은 hydraulic well의 설치 지점에 따라 두 가지 방법으로 수행하였다. 대형 제방실험결과, hydraulic well의 내부 수위 변화에 따라 최대 37%의 침투압 저감 현상이 발생하는 것으로 평가되었다. 대형 제방실험과 침투 해석의 간극수압을 비교한 결과 거의 유사한 경향이 나타났다. hydraulic well의 내부 수위 변화와 산정된 간극수압의 변화도 비슷한 양상을 보였으나, 심도가 깊어짐에 따라 대형 제방실험결과보다 침투 해석의 간극수압이 더 크게 산정되었다.

유압모터 길들이기 자동시험 제어기 개발 (Development of the Auto-Aging Test Controller for a Hydraulic Motor)

  • Because heavy-duty construction vehicles such as excavators are required for good engine-room cooling capacity, a hydraulic gear motor is adopted in the cooling fan drive mechanism to actively control the output speed, instead of adopting the conventional ON/OFF type belt drive. While gear motors are normally limited to 140bars of operating pressure, those for the cooling fan are capable of operating at continuous pressures of up to 220bars. After assembly, all gear motors for high pressure must pass an aging test which is a kind of the wearing process between the gear teeth and motor housing. During the aging process with gradual pressure increments, gear sticking sometimes occurs due to abnormal wear, resulting in defects. This paper focuses on a gear-sticking free aging test controller that is designed together with the knowledge of an experienced operator and the analysis results of experimental data of the gear jamming phenomenon. From the aging experiment, it is demonstrated that the developed controller that can alter the setting pressure of the load pump is effective for stabilizing the abrupt increase in the motor input pressure, thus preventing the hydraulic motor from stopping. This is expected to be helpful for the reduction of defects and increase in productivity.

능동 현가시스템의 성능평가를 위한 유압식 시험기의 설계 및 제어에 관한 연구 (A study on design and control of hydraulic test rig for performance evaluation of active suspension system)

  • To evaluate of active suspension, it is necessary for special equipment - so called Test Rig which can perfectly realize the road condition and the impact from the road. And most of the test rig systems controlling force accurately and rapidly consist of electro-hydraulic servo mechanism, and they need robust controller which can endure outer road change. But in the case of PID controller, we should choose its best gains by trial and error method, and once its gains are fixed, they cannot get changed, so we should reset PID controller gains respectively when the road is changed. Therefore based on the load pressure feedback compensation method, our aim at constructing electro-hydraulic test rig is not affected by various road disturbance.

증기발생기 세관 수압확관부 비파괴검사 방법론 (Methodology of Non-Destructive Examinations on Hydraulic Expansion Region of Steam Generator Tubes)

  • As the measures of nuclear power plant utilities and manufacturers to reduce the defects of tube expansion region during manufacturing steam generators, many types of NDEs(Non-Destructive Examinations) are conducted to inspect the expansion region. The expansion region of tube is subject to degrade because of stress concentration induced by tube expansion, sludge pile and high temperature. So the inspections for tube expansion region have been reinforced. Liquid penetrant test, helium leak test, Bobbin profile test and hydraulic test are performed to confirm the integrity of tube expanded by hydraulic expansion method. Liquid penetrant test and helium leak test are used to inspect seal weld region on tubesheet end part. Bobbin Profile test is used to inspect fully the expanded region of steam generator tube. Hydraulic test finally verifies the integrity of seal weld region on tubesheet end part.

Delayed Operation Characteristics of Power Shuttle According to Hydraulic Oil Temperature in the Hydraulic Circuit of Agricultural Tractor

  • Purpose: During the start-up period, the response time of a hydraulic system increases in the winter because of the increased oil viscosity caused by the cold weather. The problems of delayed tractor starting and excessive wear of the clutch disk occur for these reasons. Therefore, this study develops an analysis model using the commercial hydraulic analysis program AMESim to examine the characteristics of delays in power shuttle starting at different oil temperatures. Methods: In the experiment, a tractor was stationary on a flat surface with the engine running at a constant speed of 1,080 rpm. The forward lever was then pressed to activate the power shuttle at three different oil temperatures, and the pressure changes were measured. The pressure on the forward clutch control valve was measured by a pressure gauge installed on the hydraulic line supplied to the transmission from the main valve. An analysis model was also developed and verified with actual tests. Results: The trend of the simulated pressures of the power shuttle is similar to that of the measured pressures, and a constant modulation period was observed in both the simulation and test results. However, the difference found between the simulation and test results was the initial pressure required to overcome the initial force of the clutch spring. Conclusions: This study also examines the characteristics of the delayed startup of the power shuttle at different oil temperatures through simulations.

초고압 시스템의 안전성 확보에 대한 연구 (A Study of Safety Acquirement for an Assessment of Ultra High Pressure System)

  • Ultra high pressure system, which can be generally increased over 1,000bar, needs to have sealing mechanism to protect leakage and selection of the materials used in the intensifier. Components such as pressure vessel, hydraulic hose assembly, accumulator, hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic valve, pipe, etc., are tested under the impulse-pressure conditions. Components need to be tested under 1.5 to 3 times of rated pressure to check the tolerance even though rated pressure range of these components are not ultra high pressure. So, the ultra high pressure system needs to be equiped to test components. In this study, safety assessments of ultra high pressure system which are using failure analysis of components, changing the types of the control system, and finite element analysis with static condition, are investigated.

건설차량용 반자동 변속기 유압제어계의 성능 개선 (Performance Improvement of Clutch Actuating Hydraulic Control System at Semi-Automatic Transmission for Construction Vehicles)

  • In this study, as a strategy to improve shift characteristics, the authors developed a new style pressure modulator which can reduce shock torque during power shift by modulating the pattern of pressure increase in the cylinder for actuating the clutch. The remarkable merits of this new pressure modulator lie in its structural simplicity and durability, because the modulator is only composed of a poppet type valve and a few orifices. The usefulness of the new pressure modulator is confirmed by experiments and numerical analyses on a clutch control hydraulic system simplified for easy test. Also, the excellency of the transmission with the new pressure modulator is verified by experiments on a test bench for simulating the running power train of an excavator.
