  • The retrodirective array antenna system is operated faster than existing techniques of beamforming due to its less complexity. Therefore, it is effective for beam tracking in the environment of fast vehicle. On the other hand, it also has difficulty in estimating AOA according to multipath environment or multiuser signals. To improve the certainty of estimating AOA), this article proposes hybrid digital retrodirective array antenna systme combined with MUSIC algorithm. In this paper, the digital retrodirective array antenna system is designed according to the number of antenna array by using only one digital PLL which finds angle of delayed phase. And we evaluate the performance of the digital retrodirective array antenna for the high speed tracking application. Performance is studied by simulink when the speed of mobile is 300km/h and the distance between transmitter and receiver is 100m and then we have to confirm the performance of the system in multi path environment. As a result, the mean of AOA (Angle Of Arrival) error is $4.2^{\circ}$ when SNR is 10dB and it is $1.3^{\circ}$ when SNR is 20dB. Consequently, the digital RDA shows very good performance for high speed tracking due to the simple calculation and realization.

  • An Eulerian-Lagrangian hybrid modeling system to analyze physical and chemical processes during the transport of air parcels was developed. The Backward-tracking Model Analyzer (BMA) was designed to take advantages of both Eulerian and Lagrangian modeling approaches. Simulated trajectories from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration HYSPLIT model were combined with the US Environmental Protection Agency Community Multi-scale Air Quality (CMAQ)-simulated concentrations and additional diagnostic analyses. In this study, we first introduced a generalized methodology to seamlessly match polylines (HYSPLIT) and threedimensional polygons (CMAQ), which enables mass-conservative analyses of physio-chemical processes of transporting air parcels. Two applications of the BMA were conducted: (1) a long-range transport case of pollutant plume across the Yellow Sea using CMAQ Integrated Process Rate analyses, and (2) a domestic circulation of pollutants within (and near) the South Korea based on the sulfate tracking analyzer. The first episode demonstrated a secondary formation of nitrate and ammonium during the transport over the Yellow Sea while sulfate is mostly transported after being formed over the China, and the second episode demonstrated a dominant impact of boundary condition with active sulfate formation from gas-phase oxidation near the Seoul Metropolitan Area.

  • In this paper, we propose a hybrid target tracking algorithm which combine the conventional Kalman filter algorithm and the fuzzy neural network. Conventional methods are degraded in the presence of uncertanties and the environmental noise. These problems can be resolved by the proposed method. The training data for the proposed target tracker is obtained by the off-line simulation. Unlike other target trackers usging fuzzy inference system, our method can be easily integrated into the existing system. A numerical simulation is included to show the effectiveness and the feasibility of the proposed method.

  • This paper presents a rotating ann test for assessment of an underwater hybrid navigation system for a semi-autonomous underwater vehicle. The navigation system consists of an inertial measurement unit (IMU), an ultra-short baseline (USBL) acoustic navigation sensor and a doppler velocity log (DVL) accompanying a magnetic compass. The errors of inertial measurement units increase with time due to the bias errors of gyros and accelerometers. A navigational system model is derived to include the error model of the USBL acoustic navigation sensor and the scale effect and bias errors of the DVL, of which the state equation composed of the navigation states and sensor parameters is 25 in the order. The conventional extended Kalman filter was used to propagate the error covariance, update the measurement errors and correct the state equation when the measurements are available. The rotating ann tests are conducted in the Ocean Engineering Basin of KRISO, KORDI to generate circular motion in laboratory, where the USBL system was absent in the basin. The hybrid underwater navigation system shows good tracking performance against the circular planar motion. Additionally this paper checked the effects of the sampling ratio of the navigation system and the possibility of the dead reckoning with the DVL and the magnetic compass to estimate the position of the vehicle.

  • Due to the rapid advancement in smart phones, numerous new specifications are developed for variety of applications ranging from health monitoring to navigations and tracking. The word indoor navigation means location identification, however, where GPS signals are not available, accurate indoor localization is a challenging task due to variation in the received signals which directly affect distance estimation process. This paper proposes a hybrid approach which integrates fingerprinting based K-Nearest Neighbors (K-NN) and lateration based MinMax position estimation technique. The novel idea behind this hybrid approach is to use Euclidian distance formulation for distance estimates instead of indoor radio channel modeling which is used to convert the received signal to distance estimates. Due to unpredictable behavior of the received signal, modeling indoor environment for distance estimates is a challenging task which ultimately results in distance estimation error and hence affects position estimation process. Our proposed idea is indoor position estimation technique using Bluetooth enabled smart phones which is independent of the radio channels. Experimental results conclude that, our proposed hybrid approach performs better in terms of mean error compared to Trilateration, MinMax, K-NN, and existing Hybrid approach.

  • Cospas-Sarsat, an international satellite system for search and rescue, started operating in early 1980's and has been credited with saving thousands of lives since then. Hundreds of thousands of aviators, mariners and land users worldwide are equipped with Cospas-Sarsat distress beacons, which could help save their lives in emergency situations anywhere in the world. This paper outlines the evolution of the system and describes how satellites are constantly circling the globe monitoring for rescue signals, while tracking stations on six continents receive the satellite signals, compute the locations of the distress events and forward the calls for help to the appropriate rescue authorities. Therefore, this paper points out the importance of developing of technologies of Hybrid Aviation Wireless SAR Equipment and also proposes to make it localized.

  • This paper presents an underwater hybrid navigation system for a semi-autonomous underwater vehicle (SAUV). Simulation was performed with the 6-d.o.f. equations of motion of SAUV in a lawn-mowing survey mode. The hybrid underwater navigation system shows good tracking performance by updating the error covariance and correcting the system's states with the measurement errors from a DVL, a magnetic compass and a depth senor. The error of the estimated position still slowly drifts in horizontal plane about 3.5m for 500 seconds, which could be eliminated with the help of additional USBL information.

  • In this paper, we modeled the devices used easily in PV system circuits. In addition, for full operation of the photovoltaic system, a complete operation system for the DC-DC buck-boost converter and the MPPT control system was modeled and simulated to confirm good operation. we were constructed an actual system with the same conditions in the simulation and experimented. The purpose is to confirm the stable power supply through the load leveling by presenting the PCS considering ESS of photovoltaic power generation. we will do study to apply hybrid capacitors that have high energy density to the same size compared to the EDLC to DVR. • In this paper, we present binocular augmented reality system with smartphones. With improvements of performance and resolution of recent smartphones, various virtual reality devices using smartphones and applications are appearing in the market. But the augmented reality system with smartphones are not that popular because of the lack of required technologies. In our work, we discuss about 3D mapping and tracking using computer vision. Also, we provide hybrid tracking using sensors in the smartphone which can handle the computer vision failure cases. Bare hand 3D interaction method in our system will be also presented.
