멀티칩 기술을 이용한 ATM 교환기용 Switch 모듈 제작 (Fabrication of Switch Module for ATM Exchange System using MCM Technology)

  • We fabricated switch module of ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) exchange system with MCM-C(MultiChip Module Co-fired) technology and measured its electrical characteristics. Green tape was used as substrate and Au/Ag paste was used to form the interconnect layers. The via holes were made by drill and filled with metal paste usign screen method. After manufacturing the substrate, chips and passive components were assembled on the substrate. In electrical test, the module showed the output signal of 46.9MHz synchronized with input signal. In the view of substrate size reduction, the area of MCM switch module was 35% of conventional hybrid switch module.

ATM스위치의 쎌 손실율 추정을 위한 Hybrid 시뮬레이션 기법 (A Hybrid Simulation Technique for Cell Loss Probability Estimation of ATM Switch)

  • An ATM switch must deal with various kinds of input sources having different traffic characteristics and it must guarantee very small value of cel loss probability, about 10$^{8}$ -10$^{12}$ , to deal with loss-sensitive traffics. In order to estimate such a rate event probability with simulation procedure, a variance reduction technique is essential for obtaining an appropriate level of precision with reduced cost. In this paper, we propose a hybrid simulation technique to achieve reduction of variance of cell loss probability estimator, where hybrid means the combination of analytical method and simulation procedure. A discrete time queueing model with multiple input sources and a finite shared buffer is considered, where the arrival process at an input source and a finite shared buffer is considered, where the arrival process at an input source is governed by an Interrupted Bernoulli Process and the service rate is constant. We deal with heterogeneous input sources as well as homogeneous case. The performance of the proposed hybrid simulation estimator is compared with those of the raw simulation estimator and the importance sampling estimator in terms of variance reduction ratios.

  • 모바일 멀티미디어 서비스에서는 핸드오프의 효율적인 처리를 통한 QoS를 보장하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 기존 핸드오프 기법의 경로 최적화, 회선의 재활용률, 핸드오프 수행시간 등의 문제점을 개선을 위해 Crossover Switch(CX)탐색 기법에 적용되는 기존의 Loose select, Prior path knowledge와 제안한 Hybrid CX 탐색 알고리즘의 성능분석을 위해 C#을 사용하여 시뮬레이터를 구현하고 회선 재이용률, 경로 최적화 정도를 비교분석하였다. 실험결과 제안한 Hybrid CX 탐색 알고리즘이 우수하다는 것을 확인하였다.

양자 논리회로의 정보 가역성에 대한 고찰 (A Study on the Information Reversibility of Quantum Logic Circuits)

  • 양자논리회로의 가역성은 정보 가역적 및 에너지 가역적 회로라는 두 가지 가역 조건을 만족할 때 실현될 수 있다. 본 논문은 다치 양자논리 회로에서 원래상태로의 정보가역성 회복에 필요한 연산 사이클을 모델링하였다. 모델링을 위해 유니터리 스위치를 산술 멱승 스위치로 사용하는 함수 임베딩 방법을 사용하였다. 양자논리회로에서 수반게이트 쌍이 대칭이면 유니터리 스위치함수가 균형함수 특성을 보임으로써 원래상태의 정보 가역성 회복에 1 사이클 연산이 소요되었다. 반대로 비대칭 구조이면 상수 함수에 의해 2 사이클 연산이 소요되었다. 본 논문은 ternary M-S 게이트로 hybrid MCT 게이트를 실현할 경우의 비대칭 구조에 따른 2 사이클 복원 문제는 비대칭 구조의 수반게이트들을 대칭구조의 수반게이트로 등가 변환하여 해결할 수 있음을 밝혔다.

입출력버퍼형 ATM 교환기의 셀 폐기 방법에 대한 새로운 기준 제안 및 성능 분석 (A New Criterion of Cell Discard in an ATM Switch with Input and Output Buffers)

  • An input-output buffering switch operates in either of tow different cell loss modes; Backpressure mode and Queueloss mode. In the previous studies, the Backpressrue mode is more effective at low traffic loads, and the Queueloss mode performs better at high traffic. We propose a new operation mode, called Hybrid mode, which adopts the advantages of he Backpressure and the Queueloss mode. Backpressure and Queueloss modes are distinguished from whether a cell loss occurs at the output buffer or not when output buffer overflows, irrespective of input buffer status. In order to simply combine Backpressure and Queueloss mode, the change of input traffic load must be measured. However, in the Hybrid mode, simply both of the input and output buffer overflow and checked out to determine the cell discard. The performance of the Hybrid mode is compared with those of the Backpressure and the Queueloss mode under random and bursty traffic. This paper show that the Hybrid mode always gives the best performance results for most ranges of load values.

Current Limiting and Interrupting Operation of Hybrid Self-Excited Type Superconducting DCCB

  • Currently, the development of industry makes needs larger electric supply. Providers must consider the efficiency about losses and reliability of the system. In this case, DC power system can save electrical energy; long-distance transmission line losses. Relevance to switch technology with a voltage-source converter (VSC) in AC-DC conversion system have been researched. But, protection device of DC-link against fault current is still needed to study much. VSC DC power system is vulnerable to DC-cable short-circuit and ground faults, because DC-link has a huge size of capacitor filter which releases extremely large current during DC faults. Furthermore, DC has a fatal flaw that current zero crossing is nonexistence. To interrupt the DC, several methods which make a zero crossing is used; parallel connecting self-excited series LC circuit with main switch, LC circuit with power electronic device called hybrid DC circuit breaker. Meanwhile, self-excited oscillator needs a huge size capacitor that produces big oscillation current which makes zero crossing. This capacitor has a quite effective on the price of DCCB. In this paper, hybrid self-excited type superconducting DCCB which are using AC circuit breaker system is studied by simulation tool PSCAD/EMTDC.

난류가열 쎄타핀치의 고전압 펄스 발생에 관한 연구 (Study on the High Voltage Pulse Profile Characteristics of a Turbulently Heated Theta Pinch)

  • The fast-rising high-voltage pulse generation circuit system of a theta pinch is both theoretically and experimentally investigated. The idealized model of this circuit system is a hybrid circuit system composed of three parts: a lumped circuit part being consisted of a capacitor bank and a spark switch connected in series, another lumped circuit part being consisted of the Blumlein transmission line, whose end load is the pinch coil. the voltage difference between two ends of the pinch coil is formulated by analyzing this hybrid circuit system by means of the law of the signal propagation in the transmission line and Kirchhoff's laws. The expedient numerical method for computer calculation is developed to generate the pulse profile of the voltage difference across the pinch coil. The period of the experimentally measured main pulse is a fourth of the theoretical one neglecting the resistance of the pinch coil. We attribute this discrepancy to the modelling in the theoretical calculation that hte resistance and inductance of the spark switch and capacitor bank are assumed to be constant through discharge. Therefore, we can see that the rise time of the imploding magnetic-field pulse is mainly dependent on the spark switch and capacitor bank.

시분할 통신 시스템을 위한 새로운 구조의 스위칭회로 설계 (Design of New Switching Structure for Time Division Duplex system)

  • 본 논문은 시분할 송수신 시스템에 사용될 수 있는 새로운 구조의 스위칭회로를 제안한다. 기존의 시분할 송수신 시스템에 사용되는 스위칭 회로의 경우 안테나, 송신단 그리고 수신단을 서큘레이터로 각 단자를 분리하였다. 이러한 기존의 방법은 서큘레이터 사용으로 인하여 회로전체의 가격을 증가시키는 원인이 되며, 원치 않는 상호 변복조 성분이 만들어져 전체 시스템의 악화로 이어지게 된다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 회로는 비선형 소자인 서큘레이터를 사용하지 않고 기본적인 가지선로 결합기의 한 쪽 선로를 결합선로로 등가 모델링하여 응용한 회로이다. 이 회로는 등가 모델링 된 결합선로의 격리 포트를 개방/단락의 종단조건을 이용하여 신호의 흐름을 제어하는 새로운 구조의 스위칭회로이다. 본 논문에서는 제시한 설계법의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 Wibro 서비스 주파수대역인 2.3GHz에서 제작 및 측정하였다.

High Step-Up Converter with Hybrid Structure Based on One Switch

  • A novel high step-up converter is presented herein, which combines the conventional buck-boost converter, the charge pump capacitor and the coupling inductor. By doing so, a quite high voltage conversion ratio due to not only the turns ratio but also the duty cycle, so as to increase design feasibility. It is noted that the denominator of the voltage conversion ratio is the square of one minus duty cycle. Above all, there is no voltage spike across the switch due to the leakage inductance and hence no passive or active snubber is needed, and furthermore, the used switch is driven without isolation and hence the gate driving circuit is relatively simple, thereby upgrading the industrial application capability of this converter. In this paper, the basic operating principles and the associated mathematical deductions are firstly described in detail, and finally some experimental results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed high step-up converter.

반주기 이후 동작 하이브리드 초전도 전류제한기와 보호기기 협조 분석 (Analysis on the Protective Coordination with Hybrid Superconducting Fault Current Limiter)

  • The fault current has increased due to the large power demand in power distribution system and network distribution system. To protect the power system effectively from the increased fault current, the superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) has been notified. However, the conventional SFCL has some problems such as cost, operation, recovery, loss. To solve some problems, the hybrid superconducting fault current limiter using the fast switch was proposed. However, hybrid SFCL also has a problem that is protection coordination in power distribution system with hybrid SFCL. In this paper, the fault current limiting characteristics of hybrid SFCL with first half cycle non-limiting operation according to the fault angle, the resistance of superconducting element, and the magnitude of Current Limit Resistor (CLR) which are the components of hybrid SFCL were analyzed through the experiments.
