Ponies were administered at the level of 0.1mg per kg of body weight of acetylpromazine malate through the jugular vein. Sedative effect, clinical signs such as body temperature, and changes of red blood cell counts and serum glucose concentration were investigated. Sedation was induced 5 to 6 minutes after injection of acepromazine and sedative effect was lasted for 30 to 40 minutes. Responsive reactions, however, to external stimuli were remained. Change of body temperature was not observed and heart beat was increased at the stage of induction and respiratory rate was decreased during the sedative period. Red blood cell count was considerably decreased during sedation, and concentration of serum glucose showed a tendency to increase gradually from the induction.

A case of leiomyosarcoma is reported in a 9-year-old female Jin Do. The dog has been suffered from 1 week history of abdominal distension, dyspnea, depression and anorexia. On routine physical examination, radiology and ultrasound, a large occupying mass was noted in the reptroperitoneum. Due to poor prognosis, the uterine mass removed by ovariohystrectomy and submitted to pathology department for diagnosis. Grossly, the mass was firm, tan and contained several areas that were necrotic and hemorrhagic. (omitted)

N. caninum infections have been associated with neonatal paresis as well as abortion around the world. Bovine abortion induced by N. caninum was first reported in 1997 in Korea. Diagnosis of N. caninum infection is usually based on histopathology and immunohistochemical detection of organism. However, often the tissues having lesion suggestive of N. caninum infection were negative on immunohistochemistry. (omitted)

The fusion rates of nuclear transplant embryos with various DC voltage were 55.6-79.2%. The significantly higher fusion rates of nuclear transplant embryos were achieved at the electric field strenght of DC 1.0-2.0kV/cm(72.0-79.2%) than DC 0.75kV/cm(55.6%, P<0.05). No significant differences in the percentage of embryos that cleaved(48.1, 55.4 and 42.6% respectively) and the percentage of cleaved embryos that developed to morulae/blastocyst(1.9, 5.3 and 1.9% respectively) could be found among the three types of in vitro culture system (Granulosa cell, BOEC co-culture and SOF, P>0.01). The age of the recipient cytoplast(30 vs 40hr) had no effect on the fusion rates and the rates of cleavage development(36.9 vs 44.1%, P>0.01).

Fortress 언어는 고성능 컴퓨팅을 대상으로 개발되었으며, 성능과 확장성이 뛰어난 프로그램을 편리하게 작성할 수 있게 하는 특징이 많이 있다. Fortress 언어는 암시적 병렬성을 제공하는데, 이는 프로그램의 대표적인 언어 구조와 자료 구조가 기본적으로 병렬 수행되도록 설계되었음을 의미한다. Fortress 구현은 병렬 수행을 지원하기 위해 스케줄링과 병행성 제어 기법을 제공한다. 우리는 SAT 문제 해결에 널리 쓰이는 알고리듬인 DPLL 알고리듬을 Fortress 언어로 구현하였고, 여러 상황에서 성능을 측정하였다. 실험결과 Fortress 언어를 이용하면 병렬 수행을 쉽게 구현할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었으며, 문제 유형, 구현기법, 성능 사이의 관계를 찾을 수 있었다.

For high-accuracy position control of a linear motor, it has been proposed a nonlinear controller including a synchronization algorithm. Linear motors are easily affected by force ripple, friction, and parameter variations because there is no mechanical transmission to reduce the effects of model uncertainties and external disturbances. Synchronization error is also caused by skew motion, model uncertainties, and force disturbance on each axis. Nonlinear effects such as friction and ripple force are estimated and compensated for. The synchronization algorithm is used to reduce the synchronous error of the two side pillars. The performance of the controller is evaluated by computer simulations.
