대학생의 애착과 심리적 안녕감과의 관계: 공감능력과 우울의 매개효과 (Relationship between Adult Attachment and Psychological Well-Being of University Students: The Mediating Effects of Empathic Ability and Depression)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of empathic ability and depression on the relationship between adult attachment and psychological well-being of university students. We conducted a survey on 318 university students in Cheongju-si and Hongseong gun. The data were analyzed by Pearson' productive correlation, hierarchical regression analysis and Sobel test. The results were as follows: Firstly, anxiety attachment, empathic ability and depression were significant predictors of the psychological well-being of university students. Depression was the strongest predictors psychological well-being. Secondly, depression mediated partially the relationship between anxiety attachment and psychological well-being, and empathic ability and depression mediated partially the relationship between avoidance attachment and psychological well-being. In conclusion, the empathic ability and depression mediate the effects of adult attachment on psychological well-being of university students. The implications and limitations of this study were discussed.

소비자의 웰빙태도 및 웰빙상품에 대한 만족도 : 기대-불일치 패러다임을 중심으로 (Consumer Attitude and Satisfaction with Well-being Products: A Focus on the Expectation-disconfirmation Paradigm)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the well-being attitude and use the expectation-disconfirmation model to assess consumer satisfaction with well-being products. The consumer expectations, performance and disconfirmation scales were composed of 7 items of 5-likert scales. Consumer satisfaction with well-being products was measured with one-item-measurement scale. The results of this study are as follows. 1. The well-being attitude consists of 4 factors. : consumption of the well-being products, pursuit of mental well-being, criticism of commercial fashion, and pursuit of harmony with natural life. 2. Well-being attitude influences the consumers' expectation, performance, and satisfaction with well-being products. 3. Consumer expectation for well-being products has no influence on satisfaction, but performance and disconfirmation have a high degree of influence on satisfaction.

  • This paper is an attempt to discuss theoretical and empirical issues embedded in a rapidly dispersing well-being lifestyle in Korea. Increase of people's interests in health and well-being reflects the fact that Korea has been developed socially and economically to the level for common people to pursue the quality of life beyond survival or basic standards of life. The term, well-being life style, was first constructed and has been dispersed through mass media. Media contributes to popularize health issues and to deliver the importance of lifestyle for health promotion to the general public. Well-being lifestyle, initiated by media and joined with commercialism, however, reveal certain negative sides as well. Health or healthy lifestyle in Western societies has been rooted theoretically in the change of health paradigm and the political emphasis on the lifestyle for health promotion in policy implications. Well-being lifestyle in Korea, in lack of theoretical and institutional foundations, is being substantially formed into distorted consumerism. Based on the sociological theories of stratification, it might be necessary to discuss the well-being consumerism in respect of tension among people with different consuming power and the destruction of solid market principles. Considering well-being consumerism as a risk factor to societal well-being, it is also necessary to examine conflicting or misleading information about well-being and to explore the scientific knowledge and principles. All these discussions and examination need to be done with interdisciplinary efforts. Especially, tasks for developing application principles for everyday life are on hands of researchers in living sciences.

  • 인간의 생명은 죽음을 맞이하는 한정된 시간을 갖는다. 이러한 시간에서 어떻게 살 것인가에 대한 고민을 하지 않을 수 없다. 그러면서 인간 삶의 목적은 행복을 지향하고 있다. 행복을 위한 고민은 웰빙의 문화적 흐름을 낳았다. 웰빙은 일상적인 의미에서 잘 먹고, 잘 사는 것을 느끼면 개인이 하고 싶은 것을 하면서 지내는 것을 의미한다. 하지만 현대의 이러한 흐름들은 현재 살고 인간 삶이 더욱 어려워 졌다는 것을 의미한기도 한다. 여기에 진정한 웰빙이 무엇인지 고민하지 않을 수 없다. 무엇보다 웰빙이 행복을 위한 방법이라면 그 원인을 파악함으로써 가능할 것이다. 이에 논자는 욕망의 문제에 집중하여 살펴보았다. 욕망은 인간 삶의 결핍과 장애로서 극복되어지거나 제거되어야 하지만 다른 측면에서는 삶의 동력으로서 작용한다. 욕망의 조절을 통해 진정한 웰빙의 의미를 찾을 수 있으며 행복은 실현될 수 있는 것이다. 무엇보다도 진정한 웰빙은 욕망을 어떻게 조절하고 사용함으로 행복과 불행으로 나아갈 수 있으며, 여기에는 도덕적인 입장을 반영할 때 진정한 웰빙의 흐름이 문화적으로 지속되리라 본다. 결국 웰빙이라는 것은 행복의 목적을 지향한다. 이러한 웰빙은 목표를 이루고자 하는 도전의 과정을 통해 성취하고 만족하는 삶으로 나와 타인에 대해 도덕적 가치를 갖는 삶을 의미한다. 이를 위해서는 인간의 삶에서 나와 관계된 모든 것들과의 균형을 유지하고, 안분지족하는 삶이라고 하겠다.

웰빙 라이프 스타일 관심과 한지 섬유 이미지 지각의 상관관계 연구 (A Study on the Relationship Between the Concern about Well-being Lifestyle and the Perceived Image of Hanji Fiber)

  • This study examines the relationship between the concern about well-being lifestyle and the perceived image of Hanji fiber. A survey was conducted among male and female consumers aged 20 and over in Jeonju and Daejon from January 4th to 11th, 2008. A total of 168 responses were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and ANOVA via the SPSS ver. 12. As a result, four factors were determined in the concern for a well-being lifestyle; product consumption, enjoying culture, using therapy and managing the household. The perceived image of Hanji fiber were classified into four elements; traditional, high-quality, functional and popular images. Among the factors of the concern for a well-being lifestyle and the perceived image of Hanji fibers, a partial relationship was observed. There is a positive relationship, especially between the product consumption factor of a well-being lifestyle and the high-quality and functional image of Hanji fiber. Also, there was a positive relationship between the factor of managing the household and the traditional image of Hanji fiber. However, the therapy interest factor of a well-being lifestyle was negatively related to the traditional image of Hanji fiber.

초등학생의 여가참여유형이 여가만족도와 심리적 행복감에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Different Types of Leisure Activities' on the Satisfaction and Psychological Well-being of Primary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of different types of leisure activities' on the satisfaction and psychological well-being of primary school students. The subjects of this study consisted of 467(boys=191, girls=276) primary school students. The data was analyzed by one way ANOVA, factor analysis, Chi-square analysis, correlation analysis and multi-regression analysis. The main findings of this were as follows: first, there were statistically significant differences in the kinds of activities participated in according to gender. Second, among of the subscale of leisure satisfaction, boys showed higher scores in more education and physical satisfaction than girls, and in the subscale of psychological well-being, boys indicated a higher score in flow and happiness than girls. Third, there were significant differences in leisure satisfaction and psychological well-being in the types of leisure activity. Fourth, the participation motivation of leisure activity statistically influenced psychological well-being. Fifth, leisure satisfaction partially influenced on psychological well-being. Social and environmental satisfaction significantly influenced flow. Education and social satisfaction significantly influenced happiness and psychological well-being.

자활근로여성의 삶의 질 향상과 우울감소를 위한 집단미술치료 효과 연구 (A study on the effects of Group Art Therapy on inceasing Women's Well-being and on decreasing their depression in Self-supporting Recipients)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of group art therapy on increasing Self-Supporting Recipients Women's well-being and on decreasing their depression. This group art therapy program model was developed based on problem -solving theory and art therapy theory. This program was consisted of 15 session with 9 women focused on self understanding through perception of multiple problems of self-supporting recipients women. Dependent variables were index of well-being and depression. The results were as follows. This program showed the significant differences between post-test and pre-test scores in the scale of well-being and depression. Also that showed the significant difference between follow-up and post test score in the scales of well-being, but there is no difference between follow-up and post test. In Conclusion, group art therapy employed for this study have significant effects of increasing well-being and decreasing depression.

맞벌이 부모의 직장보육에 대한 긍정적.부정적 태도와 복지향상 기대 (Attitudes and Expectations of Well-being Improvement toward the Employer-supported Day Care Service of Dual-earner Parents)

  • This study examined the relations between dual-earner parents' attitudes toward the employer-supported day care service and their expectations of well-being improvement. The data of this study were collected from 271 dual-earner couples. The main results of this study were as follows: 1) Dual-earner parents showed more positive attitudes toward the employer-supported day care service. 2) Significant difference by sex was observed in dual-earner parents' attitudes toward the service: Mothers displayed more positive attitudes than fathers. Also, either being positive or negative in the attitude differed according to the respondents' income and job. 3) Parents' attitude toward the day care service was significantly correlated with expectations of well-being improvement. The more positive attitudes they showed about the service, the more expectations of well-being improvement they reported, and vice versa. 4) Positive (employers, parents, children) and negative (parents) attitudes were significant variables predicting parents' expectations of well-being improvement.

Dark Sides of Engaging in Fan Community of Human Brand

  • People enthusiastic about human brands eagerly engage in fan communities to share their common interests with others. Although sharing one's enthusiasm towards the same celebrities can give thempositive senses of we-ness (in-group identity, togetherness, camaraderie) and belongingness, negative sides also exist such as schadenfreude and trash talk. Even though the studies addressing the negative sides of fan community are gaining significance, no prior studies formally examined the negative consequences of engaging in a fan community and their effect on one's well-being. Therefore, this current study aims to investigate how engaging in fan community negatively affects members' psychological well-being through schadenfreude and trash talk. Structural equation modeling analysis revealed that engaging highly in a fan community leads members to feel malicious pleasure at rivals' misfortunes and share negative opinions of rival human brands and fan communities. These negative consequences of fan community engagement ultimately lead to a lower level of psychological wellbeing, especially in the area of personal growth whereas fan community engagement has a direct positive effect on personal growth. By showing the negative influences of engaging in fan communities on members' well-being through schadenfreude and trash talk, the results of this study are expected to add depth to the existing literature.

Effects of Adult Children's Divorce on Parental Well-being, and Intergenerational Relationships: An Exploratory Study among Korean Families

  • Although the prevalence of divorce in South Korea has greatly increased since late 1990s, the impact of divorce on the parents of adult children in Korean families has received very little attention. This is particularly unfortunate because of the emphasis in Korean culture on family cohesion and obligations. To address these issues, we explored in our study the well-being of the parents of divorced adult children as well as intergenerational relationships among the members of Korean families. Total 113 parents participated (39 males and 74 females), age ranged from 46 to 65. Of the total participants surveyed, 29% were parents of divorced children (N=33), with the remainder having children in intact marriages (N=80). The measures examined four areas: (1) demographics, (2) parental psychological well-being, (3) intergeneration relationships, and (3) parental perception of their adult child's marital experience. A series of MANOVA and hierarchical regression analyses were conducted. Our findings indicate important differences between parents of divorced children and parents of non-divorced children on overall well-being, interpersonal relationships, and parental perception, which is consistent with previous studies. Parents of divorced children in this study also reported lower level of intergenerational relationships compared to parents of nondivorced children. Parent-grandchild relationships seem to be particularly important for parental well-being. In addition, we found an unexpected association between parents and their relationship with their former children inlaws. More detailed discussion was discussed.
