  • In conventional probability-based quality evaluation of products with qualitative characteristics, many factors that affect the evaluation are not easily represented quantitatively, because the relation between reliability of human evaluator and each of these factors is not clear. In order to evaluate the quality of product with qualitative characteristics quantitatively, in this paper, the relation is represented as the shape of possibility distribution function of fuzzy set on the interval [0,1]. Furthermore, fuzzy reasoning is used to obtain the estimates of quality characteristics. And, it is supposed that many quality characteristics affected by the above factors are connected with the final characteristic through hierarchical structures. Finally, using the estimates gained from the final evaluation, qualitative characteristics are evaluated by use of concept of pattern recognition.

  • Adaptation of infections and hosts has resulted in several metabolic mechanisms adopted by intracellular pathogens to combat the defense responses and the lack of fuel during infection. Human tuberculosis caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) is the world's first cause of mortality tied to a single disease. This study aims to characterize and anticipate potential antigen characteristics for promising vaccine candidates for the hypothetical protein of MTB through computational strategies. The protein is associated with the catalyzation of dithiol oxidation and/or disulfide reduction because of the protein's anticipated disulfide oxidoreductase properties. This investigation analyzed the protein's physicochemical characteristics, protein-protein interactions, subcellular locations, anticipated active sites, secondary and tertiary structures, allergenicity, antigenicity, and toxicity properties. The protein has significant active amino acid residues with no allergenicity, elevated antigenicity, and no toxicity.

  • p73 is a structural and functional homologue of the p53 tumor suppressor protein. Like p53, p73 induces apoptosis and cell cycle arrest and transactivates p53-responsive genes, conferring its tumor suppressive activity. In addition, p73 has unique roles in neuronal development and differentiation. The importance of p73-induced apoptosis lies in its capability to substitute the pro-apoptotic activity of p53 in various human cancer cells in which p53 is mutated or inactive. Despite the great importance of p73-induced apoptosis in cancer therapy, little is known about the molecular basis of p73-induced apoptosis. In this review, we discuss the p73 structures reported to date, detailed structural comparisons between p73 and p53, and current understanding of the transcription-dependent and -independent mechanisms of p73-induced apoptosis.

  • Highly reliable and versatile methods artificial intelligence (AI) have found multiple application in the different fields of science, engineering and health care system. In the present study, we aim to utilize AI method to investigated vibrations in the human leg bone. In this regard, the bone geometry is simplified as a thick cylindrical shell structure. The deep neural network (DNN) is selected for prediction of natural frequency and critical buckling load of the bone cylindrical model. Training of the network is conducted with results of the numerical solution of the governing equations of the bone structure. A suitable optimization algorithm is selected for minimizing the loss function of the DNN. Generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM), and Hamilton's principle are used for solving and obtaining the governing equations of the system. As well as this, in the results section, with the aid of AI some predictions for improving the behaviors of the various sport systems will be given in detail.

  • With the help of technical development in the electronic industries, the electronic devices employing the cutting-edged technology are spread in all the area requiring electromagnetic communications. Especially, because of the presence of electronic devices in a variety of research fields like automotive vehicle, train, and aircraft, the research area such as the malfunction and critical damage of the internal system and microwave devices due to the unexpected radiated high-powered EM effects are very important even for the possible occurrence of human damage. In this paper, the effects of electromagnetic fields into the cable connecting the electronic devices and many sensors inside the target structure is treated because of potential malfunction or hardware disorders. In addition, correlation function and transmission line theory have been employed for the analysis of the induced current on the cable inside an electrically large resonant structure.

  • Multimedia is a ubiquitous and indispensable part of our daily life and learning such as audio, image, and video. Objective and subjective quality evaluations play an important role in various multimedia applications. Blind image quality assessment (BIQA) is used to indicate the perceptual quality of a distorted image, while its reference image is not considered and used. Blur is one of the common image distortions. In this paper, we propose a novel BIQA index for Gaussian blur distortion based on the fact that images with different blur degree will have different changes through the same blur. We describe this discrimination from three aspects: color, edge, and structure. For color, we adopt color histogram; for edge, we use edge intensity map, and saliency map is used as the weighting function to be consistent with human visual system (HVS); for structure, we use structure tensor and structural similarity (SSIM) index. Numerous experiments based on four benchmark databases show that our proposed index is highly consistent with the subjective quality assessment.

  • With its history of two thousand years of studying the human mind, Confucianism may be applied to contemporary emotional science for its unique perspectives and methodologies in understanding the origin of the human mind. By examining the Confucian understanding of human mind according to general Confucian ideas as well as the scholar, LEE Whang's, an idea similar to contemporary 'emotion' in Confucianism was discovered. Importance of the sentiment was not in the resulting goodness originating from one's fundamental nature, but rather its goodness was only achieved when human nature manifested itself without any distortion. This good emotion, namely 'sensibility', presents the essential difference Confucian understanding bears in comparison to the contemporary concept. And the system for grasping the human mind was considered to be the viewpoint of examining the contents and subject of function than a formal system of functioning human mind. It assumes the stance of looking into thehuman mind from the general and synthetic view of contemporary cognitive, emotional, biological and philosophical perspectives. Overall, the researchconcludes that there existed a long history of high-level research into the human mind in Confucianism that may satisfactorily provide partial reference and understanding as well as consequent perspectives and knowledge for discovering the common denominator with the emotional science.

  • P23, a translationally controlled turner protein is involved in the interleukin-4 secretion from human basophils and is also known to be an IgE-dependent histamine-releasing factor. However, the precise physiological function and structure of P23 have not been elucidated. In the current study, we constructed the optimal expression and purification protocol of P23 and investigated the secondary structure and structural stability in various conditions. Circular dichroism (CD) investigation showed that the secondary structure of P23 adopts mainly a P-sheet conformation. CD spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry revealed that P23 is fairly stable in the pH range of neutral and mild-basic conditions and in the temperature range of 10 - 50$\^{C}$. Since the thermal stability and the P-sheet content of P23 were decreased by the addition of Ca$\^$2+/ ion, it could be suggested that Ca$\^$2+/ion induces structural change by partially destabilizing the structure of P23. In addition various H experiments were monitored to solve the aggregation of P23. Den results will provide the preliminary structural information about P23.

  • The human baby appears to be born with preexistent knowledge of language. This specialized neural structure in the brain awaits auditory experience with language to trigger it into functioning. The auditory-linked acquisition of language is a time-locked function related to early maturational periods in the infant's life. The longer auditory language stimulation is delayed, the less efficient the language facility will be. It is for these reasons that it is urgent to fight the hearing problems of children with all the skill, knowledge and insights of which we are capable, the so called 'rehabilitative process'. An understanding of the timetable and the origin of prenatal to early life development of auditory mechanism will help in planning the aural rehabilitation. Further interests and studies are needed to establish the systematic structure of rehabilitative audiology.
