The Effects of Subjective Class Perception on Suicidal Ideation in Children of Single-Parent Families: Verification of Multiple Mediating Effects of Depression and Subjective Health Perceptions (한부모가정 자녀들이 인식하는 주관적 계층인식이 자살 충동에 미치는 영향: 우울과 주관적 건강인식의 매개효과)

  • This study aims to examine how subjective class perception of children from single-parent families affects suicidal thoughts and to verify the mediated effects of depression and subjective health perception. To this end, the analysis data used the 2020 Korean Children and Youth Human Rights Survey conducted by the Korea Youth Policy Institute, and 618 children from single-parent families who responded to the survey were selected and analyzed as study subjects. As a result of the analysis, first, it was found that the higher the subjective class perception, the lower the suicidal impulse. Second, depression was found to be completely mediated in the relationship between subjective class perception and suicide impulse. Third, subjective health awareness was found to be completely mediated in the relationship between subjective class perception and suicidal thoughts. Based on these research results, we proposed policy and practical measures to reduce suicidal impulses according to the subjective class perception of children of single-parent families.

Analysis of the Factors Influencing the Management Characteristics of Tech SMEs in Determination of High-growth Firms: Focusing on Fourth Industrial Revolution Related Businesses and General SMEs (기술 중소기업의 경영 특성에 대한 고성장 기업 결정 영향 요인분석: 4차 산업혁명기업과 일반 중소기업을 중심으로)

  • This study categorized 3,214 companies out of the tech firms supported by the Korea Technology Finance Corporation's "technology guarantee scheme" through technology assessment from 2017 to 2019 into Fourth Industrial Revolution-related companies and general SMEs. The impact of the management characteristics of these 1,752 tech firms on the determination of high-growth firms was then empirically analyzed. This study used the OECD(2007) definition to define a "high-growth firm" as "an enterprise with average revenue growth greater than 20% per annum, over a two-year period." As the two sample groups showed non-normal distribution, this study conducted the Mann-Whitney U test, a nonparametric test, to analyze the mean differences and bivariate logistic regression in which the normality assumption is less stringent. The independent variables include fundamental characteristics; a regional dummy; a technological level dummy; and the capabilities of company representatives, human capital, and technological innovation. The corresponding sub-variables are representatives' level of education and experience in the same industry, full-time workers, research personnel, the extent of intellectual property rights, investment in research and development, firm age, total assets, region_metropolitan area, region_central region, technological level_high technology, and technological level_medium technology. As a result, the research hypothesis about representatives' level of experience in the same industry, full-time workers, total assets, and technological level_high technology was supported for the Fourth Industrial Revolution-related companies. For the general SMEs, the research hypothesis about representatives' level of experience in the same industry, research personnel, total assets, and region_metropolitan area was supported.

  • This study analyzed Japan's three-dimensional road system as part of a study on urban regeneration plans through the three-dimensional use of road space. The three-dimensional road system integrates the Road Act, Urban Planning Act, and the Building Standard Act. The advantage of the three-dimensional road system is that landowners can freely use the space above and below the road so that they can live and operate sustainably, and road managers have the advantage of reducing the land acquisition costs because they only acquire rights to the road. In terms of type, it is applied to a variety of integrated and separated structures in elevated roads, underpasses, free passages, parking lots, and monorails. In addition, in the case of development methods, the degree of freedom of development plans is improved by enabling integrated maintenance of roads and buildings. Management stability is improved by applying management and law-based authority according to the Road Act. In this way, the three-dimensional road system provides support to maximize the use of limited available land through the three-dimensional use of road space, and to develop sustainable and good urban areas in development areas.

Exposure Assessment of Biological Monitoring by Urinary Bromide Ion in Methyl Bromide Fumigation Workers (메틸브로마이드 훈증제 작업자의 요 중 브로마이드 이온을 이용한 생물학적 노출평가)

  • Objective: Methyl bromide (MB) fumigant has been shown to be fatal to human when was exposed. However, it were still used the significant amount in quarantine disinfection sites. The purposes of this study were to assess the MB exposure status and characteristics by fumigation-related workers and to provide supporting data for management plan. Methods: For this study, the three groups related to fumigation work were composed. A total of 107 workers were directly exposed, 20 field inspectors were indirect, and 20 general quarantines were not exposed. The urinary bromide ion concentrations in each group were analyzed by using HPLC/ICP-MS, and the working characteristics were identified using the structured questionnaire. Results: The urinary bromide ion concentration in the exposed group of fumigation workers was higher than the indirect and non-exposed groups. In the work characteristics of workers, there was a significant tendency to increase urinary bromide ion concentrations with higher fumigation work years (≤4 years: 2.84 (1.13-7.11) mg/g cr, >4-15 years: 5.36 (4.37-6.57) mg/g cr, >15-37 years: 6.69 (5.27-8.49) mg/g cr, p=0.034). In the comparison of the average number of working days per month, the more working days, the higher the urinary bromide ion concentration was statistically significant (≤12.5 days: 2.59 (1.19-5.65) mg/g cr, >12.5-19.25 days: 5.46 (4.62-6.44) mg/g cr, >19.25-27.25 days: 7.93 (5.93-10.59) mg/g cr, p=0.002). Conclusion: This study was the first nationwide survey including biological monitoring in workers exposed to methyl bromide. The results of this study were expected to be used as a reference for workers' health rights in relation to fumigation, prevention of addiction accidents, and safe management plan.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a curriculum for international social workers. Due to the changed circumstances of social welfare agencies, the demand for international social welfare and the need for suitable training for social welfare education agencies has increased. This study explored the job competency of international social welfare and suggested a competency-based curriculum for international social welfare. Researchers analyzed the social welfare NCS, social welfare curriculum and job of international development cooperation agencies and presented a combined curriculum for international development cooperation and social welfare.   • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the development of information technology brought various benefits, but it also increased social interest in privacy issues. As the possibility of personal privacy violation by big data increases, academic discussion about privacy management has begun to be active. While the traditional view of privacy has been defined at various levels as the basic human rights, most of the recent research trends are mainly concerned only with the information privacy of online privacy protection. This limited discussion can distort the theoretical concept and the actual perception, making the academic and social consensus of the concept of privacy more difficult. In this study, we analyze the privacy concept that is exposed on the internet based on 12,000 news data of the portal site for the past one year and compare the difference between the theoretical concept and the socially accepted concept. This empirical approach is expected to provide an understanding of the changing concept of privacy and a research direction for the conceptualization of privacy for current situations.

A Case Study on the Effectiveness of the Cooperative Management by Leading of Forest Owners and Its Extension System - A demonstrational cooperative management in the private forest guided by the Korean German Forest Management Project - (산주주도형(山主主導型) 협업경영사업(協業經營事業)과 그 지도체계(指導體系)의 효과(效果)에 대한 사례연구(事例硏究) -한독기구(韓獨機構) 사유림협업경영(私有林協業經營) 시범사업(示範事業)을 중심(中心)으로-)

  • The Yangsan Forest Management Station (YFMS) of Korean German Forest Management Project (KGFMP), working with the 6 legal villages of Uljugun, Kyongnam, led the forest owners in the area to organize the Forest Management Cooperative (FMC) voluntairily for improvement of private forest management and fostered it as a model from May 1975 to Apr. 1984. YFMS sent out FMC a forest manager as a forestry expert carrying out the leading extension program at the equal position with forest owners and gave FMC financial, administrative and technical assitances. During the 6 years from 1977 to 1982, 4 FMC were founded and are being operated democratically. 228 forest owners have taken the membership of their own free will and the forestland of the members covers 2,567 ha equivalent to 57% of the total private forest in the area. During the period the total area of the planting and tending is 4,185 ha, this means that a member executed 3.1 ha of forest operations per year in average, showing the high willingness on forest operations. In addition the joint works have resulted in the joint properties equivalent to 27 million Won and it will be an important foundation for operation of FMC which is a forest owners's cooperative organization for improvement of private forest management in this area. The total expenditure spent for the fostering of FMC amounted to 497,587 thousand Won and 58% of them were charged from KGFMP funds, 27% from the forest owners and 15% from public funds. The expenditure for investment was 273,104 thousand Won and 59% of the sum were appropriated as subsidies at the national level. The forest owners charged 43% of that and this means that each member invested approximately 100 thousand Won to his forestland per year in average. For the extension program 169,503 thousand Won were spent and it can be explained that 5,885 Won were spent per ha a year. The organization of FMC operated autonomously in a democratic way and the horizontal and leading extension system, which aspects the human rights, were very much effective in fostering the cooperative organization of forest owners for improvement of private forest management.

Status of the Constitutional Court Records Management and Improvement (헌법재판소 기록관리현황과 개선방안)

  • This study aims, by paying attention to the special values of records of Constitutional Court, to discuss the characteristics of them and figuring out their present state, and to suggest some measures for improvement in the records management. First of all, I defined the concept of the records of Constitutional Court and its scope, and made an effort to comprehend their types and distinct features, and on the basis of which I tried to grasp the characteristics of the records. Put simply, the records of Constitutional Court are essential records indispensible to the application of Constitutional Court's documentation strategy of them, and they are valuable particularly at the level of the taking-root of democracy and the guarantee of human rights in a country. Owing to their characteristics of handling nationally important events, also, the context of the records is far-reaching to the records of other constitutional institutions and administrations, etc. In the second place, I analyzed Records Management Present State. At a division stage, I grasped the present state of creation, registration, and classification system of records. At an archives repository stage, I made efforts to figure out specifically the perseveration of records and the present of state of using them. On the basis of such figuring-outs of the present situation of records of Constitutional Court, I pointed at problems in how to manage them and suggested some measures to improve it in accordance with the problems, by dividing its process into four, Infrastructure, Process, Opening to the public and Application. In the infrastructure process, after revealing problems in its system, facilities, and human power, I presented some ways to improve it. In terms of its process, by focusing on classification and appraisal, I pointed out problems in them and suggested alternatives. In classification, I suggested to change the classification structure of trial records; in appraisal, I insisted on reconsidering the method of appropriating the retention periods of administration records, for it is not correspondent with reality in which, even in an file of a event, there are several different retention periods so it is likely for the context of the event worryingly to be segmented. In opening to the public and application, I pointed at problems in information disclosure at first, and made a suggestion of the establishment of a wide information disclosure law applicable to all sort of records. In application, I contended the expansion of the possibility of application of records and the scope of them through cooperation with other related-institutions.

  • The purpose of this study was to present ways and tasks for the successful settlement of community care that the korea government recently aimed to convert the care system of the vulnerable from the center of institutional care to the community-based care system. As a research method, we tried to find out the community care policies for foreign developmental disabilities and explore major issues and problems in the process. As a result of the study, de-institutionalization and maintenance and enactment of laws related to community-based care systems, the division of subjects and tasks in policy implementation, and above all, it is necessary to specify necessary financial estimation, procurement plan, and budget securing method. In addition, sincere deliberation on the form of living space for people with developmental disabilities after de-institution and clarification of the subjectivity of using the services provided Establish reliable statistics on the characteristics and degree of disability of people with developmental disabilities, worry about human rights violation factors that can occur in community residential facilities that will be provided after de-facility, and create consensus in the community was also analyzed as an important factor. I think it is a key factor to secure the success of the community care policy by carrying out the above multiple tasks simultaneously.
