Multi-line display 제품의 메뉴 설계 방안

  • Menu-driven interfaces are frequently employed for user -system interfaces on many electronic products. Due to the space and budget constraint, a single or multi-line display is used to show menu items. Single or Multi-line display present 8 .approx. 21 characters on an LCD screen and users select items using a series of button pushes. Multi-line displays are different from the single-line ones in the following aspects. First, they can present multiple menu items at the same time. Second, they can present menu items in a various way, for example, same-depth presentation, sub-depth presentation, previous selection, etc. In this study, a human factors experiment is being conducted to examine the effects of three independent variables on the design of a multi-line display. Factors investigated include menu structure, number of lines on the display, item presentation methodl. Usability of the multi-line display is being measured quantitatively in terms of four different aspects: task completion time, accuracy, inefficiency, user preference. A set of design guidelines will be drawn from this study which can be applied to usef-system interfaces of a various types of consumer products.

인적 요인을 중심으로 하는 산업재해 평가 모델에 대한 연구 (An Evaluation Model for Human Attributes of Industrial Accidents)

  • The intensity of industrial accidents has been increased while the number of industrial accidents has been decreased in theses days. It represents that we need safety guidelines based on personal attributes as well as physical attributes. This study tries to identify major causative factors for industrial accidents and to suggest an evaluation model based on personal attributes. Specifically, relationship between self-efficacy belief associated with industrial safety and other relative personal attributes has been analyzed. First, FGI(Focus Group Interview) was conducted to identify important personal attributes of industrial accidents. The questionnaire was prepared based on the results of FGI and was applied to identifying personal attributes. The relationship between personal attributes identified in this study and self-efficacy belief was assessed using fuzzy logic and fault tree analysis. The results of the assessment showed that self-efficacy belief was closely associated with industrial accidents. Specifically, workers with accident experience had higher level of self-efficacy beliefs than workers without accident experience.

Causal relationship among quality factors, emotional responses, and satisfaction of school food service in Henan province, China

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: School food service has played an important role in promoting the health and physical condition of students by providing students with a balanced and nutritious diet. Therefore, boosting the quality of school food service and improving the students' satisfaction is critical. For this purpose, this study examined the structural causal relationship among the quality of school food service factors, emotional responses, and satisfaction in China. SUBJECTS/METHODS: This study was conducted with 4th-6th-grade students from 6 junior high schools in Henan province of China, with 590 questionnaire responses (87.3%) collected and statistically analyzed. RESULTS: The school food service quality factors (including menu management, dietary education, facilities management, price and food distribution management, and personal hygiene during meals) must be enhanced to boost the students' satisfaction. In addition, the study used questionnaire survey data to validate the full mediation of students' emotional responses between school food service quality factors and student satisfaction. CONCLUSIONS: Students' emotions also play an important role in influencing the quality of school food service, all of which affect the emotional responses of students. Therefore, students' positive emotions are an important indicator for improving the quality of school food service. A national support policy is necessary for the ongoing maintenance and development of various programs that drive students' satisfaction and promote the adoption of education guidelines for school food service in China.

고속도로 유출지점 경로안내용 도로전광표지의 설치위치 산정방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Developing Discriminant Model for VMS installation Considering Human Factors)

  • 본 연구는 지방부 고속도로 상에서 유출지점용 도로전광표지의 적정 설치지점을 도출하기 위하여, 차량시뮬레이터 실험 자료를 변수로 운전자가 도로전광표지의 교통정보를 판독한 후 고소고도로 유출시설로 우회가 가능한지 여부를 판단할 수 있는 판별식(Discriminant Model for VMS installation : DMV식)을 개발하는 것이다. 연구결과로는 (첫째), 차량시뮬레이터 실험을 통하여 도로전광표지 설치지점을 변경시키면서 운전자의 인적, 행태적 자료를 수집하고, 이를 근거로 도로전광표지 설치지점에 따라 우회 가능성을 판단할 수 있는 DMV식을 개발하였다. (둘째) 우회가능성은 도로전광표지 설치지점이 멀수록, 운전자경력이 많을수록 고속도로 운전경험이 많을수록, 차량속도가 낮을수록 높아지는 것으로 나타났으며, 우회가능성에 큰 영향을 미치는 변수는 도로전광표지 설치지점, 고속도로 경험, 운전경력, 차량속도 순으로 나타났다. (셋째), 개발된 DMV식의 예측력을 검증한 결과, 개별 운전자가 도로전광표지의 교통정보를 판독하고 이에 대응하여 우회가능성을 정확하게 예측하였다. (넷째) DMV식을 이용하여 설치지점에 대한 우회가능성의 민감도분석을 수행한 결과, 지방부 고속도로에서 운전자의 85%이상이 도로전광표지로부터 교통정보를 판독하고 유출지점으로 진입하기 위해서는 유출지점으로부터 최소한 3.2km의 이격거리가 필요한 것으로 분석되었다. 이는 피실험자가 20, 30대 운전자로 대표성에 한계가 있음을 감안하더라도 유출지점으로부터 건설교통부 지침에서 제시한 3.0Km이상의 이격거리가 필요하다는 것을 시사한다 하겠다.

A Classification Model for Predicting the Injured Body Part in Construction Accidents in Korea

  • It is difficult to predict industrial accidents in the construction industry because many accident factors, such as human-related factors and environment-related factors, affect the accidents. Many studies have analyzed the severity of injuries and types of accidents; however, there were few studies on the prediction of injured body parts. This study aims to develop a classification model to predict the part of the injured body based on accident-related factors. Construction accident cases from June 2018 to July 2021 provided by the Korea Construction Safety Management Integrated Information were collected through web crawling and then preprocessed. A naïve Bayes classifier, one of the supervised learning algorithms, was employed to construct a classification model of the injured body part, which has four categories: 1) torso, 2) upper extremity, 3) head, and 4) lower extremity. The predictor variables are accident type, type of work, facility type, injury source, and activity type. As a result, the average accuracy for each injured body part was 50.4%. The accuracy of the upper extremity and lower extremity was relatively higher than the cases of the torso and head. Unlike the other classifications, such as spam mail filtering, a naïve Bayes classifier does not provide a good classification performance in construction accidents. The reasons are discussed in the study. Based on the results of this study, more detailed guidelines for construction safety management can be provided, which help establish safety measures at the construction site.

냉장고 설계의 인간요소와 인간공학적 평가방법 (Human Factors and Evaluation methods of Refrigerator Design)

  • Designers often hesitate to decide the shape, size, and layout of a product. Though ergonomic principles and data are absolutely needed in this process, they don't have enough guidelines to refer. For the refrigerator designers, they also are not convinced of their decision: the vertical position of the freezing and refrigerating rooms, the height of shelves, the shape of door-handle, and etc. To support the refrigerator design, we applied several ergonomic methods to the evaluation of a refrigerator. EMG measurement was used to evaluate the load of user's lumbar muscle. Based upon the experimental EMG data, we developed a model to predict the relative load according to the height of refrigerator shelves. Two different layouts of a refrigerator, R/F and F/R style, were compared with the model. A three-dimenaional motion analysis method was used to evaluate the user's motion of using a refrigerator. Ten door-handles with the different shapes and positions were evaluated by tracking the rotations of the user's arm. Video protocol analysis was used to evaluate the user interface of a control panel in a refrigerator. Finally, we made several ergonomic design guidelines based on the facts found in this research and the anthropometric data of the Korean adults. The results of this study can be applied to the ergonomic design of a refrigerator.

전자식 절차서 시스템의 원전제어적합성 확인 및 검증절차 (Validation and Verification Process for the Computerized Procedure System in Nuclear Power Plant Control Room)

  • The analog or partly digital typed interface of main control room in nuclear power plant (NPP) is gradually being replaced to the totally digitalized interface suitable for the digital environment. SKN 3,4 Nuclear Power Plant is currently developed in such a way to employ advanced displays and controls such as computerized procedure system(CPS), large display panel(LDP), and Soft control. According to the developed design process, the main control room (MCR) of the SKN3,4 was aesthetically designed based on a design concept of the health and sustainability and technically evaluated with human factors guidelines, which somehow lack of the confidence on the evaluation for the rapidly changing digital environment. The suitable review guideline for the digitalized interface and the environment was developed such as the guideline for CPS with information displays on VDU. For the guideline development, tremendous guidelines and technical papers related to evaluation issues of digital environment has been collected, analyzed and transformed to electric database forms and then built on database management system, called Design Review Supporting System to retrieve the appropriate issues for the practical usage of evaluators-in-field.

지식경영의 핵심요인이 조직유효성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 건설산업을 중심으로 - (A Empirical Study on the Influences of Core Factor of Knowledge Management on Organizational Effectiveness - Focus on Construction Industry -)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between core factor of Knowledge Management(KM) and organizational effectiveness. The objects of study are middle manager in hosing construction and civil engineering and construction industry, and the sample size is 228. The core factor of KM and indicator of organizational effectiveness are drawn by literature survey. The core factors are classified into human capital, organizational capital, structural capital, (to put it concretely), job capability, human relation, strategy, information technology, process, sharing culture, leadership, measurement. The indicator of organizational effectiveness are measured by job satisfaction, organization loyalty, competitiveness. The main results of this study can be summarized as the following. 1) The core factor of KM has a positive relationship to organizational effectiveness. Especially, the core factor of sharing culture and leadership are strongly relationship with organizational effectiveness. 2) There was a high positive correlation between job satisfaction and organization loyalty. 3) Human, structural, and structural capital had a different affect on organizational effectiveness. 4) The more job position and educational level high, the more they recognized that KM is necessary for their organization. 5) Among the success factor in KM, the factor of job capability was well perceived to respondent. According to this study, we can analyzed the relationship between success factor and organizational effectiveness, and drawn the most influence success factor on organizational effectiveness. Concurrently, the results of this study will be useful guidelines for shaping the KM operation framework in construction industry.

어린이 영양지수와 어린이 및 어머니의 식생활지침 실천도와의 관련성 (Relationships between children's Nutrition Quotient and the practice of the Dietary Guidelines of elementary school students and their mothers)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 고학년 어린이에서 어린이 NQ와 어린이와 어머니 식생활지침 실천도가 어떤지, 이들 간에 어떠한 상관관계가 있는지 또한 어린이와 어머니의 어떤 특성이 이들에 영향을 끼치는지 알아보고자 광주광역시 소재 초등학교 4~6학년 어린이 281명을 대상으로 실시되었으며 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 조사대상 어린이의 NQ는 $66.8{\pm}14.2$로 보통 (3등급)에 해당하였고, 절제와 다양요인 점수는 우수 (2등급)이었으나 규칙, 실천 및 균형요인 점수는 보통 (3등급)이었다. 어린이 NQ는 학년별, 성별 및 체중군별로 다르지 않았다. 그러나 몇몇 요인의 점수는 다소 차이를 보였는바, 학년별로 절제와 규칙요인의 점수가 달랐으나 일관성은 없었으며, 여자 어린이가 남자 어린이에 비해 규칙요인 점수가 높았고, 과체중군이 기타 체중군에 비해 절제요인 점수가 높았다. 한편 어머니의 일반사항에 따라 어린이 NQ는 상당한 차이를 나타냈는데, 비취업 상태인 경우 취업상태에 비해 어린이 NQ와 균형요인 점수가 높았고, 연령이 40대 이상이면 40대 미만에 비해 다양요인 점수가 높았으며, 학력이 대졸 이상이면 고등학교 졸 이하에 비해 규칙요인 점수가 높았고, 이외에 가정의 월수입이 400만 원 미만이면 400만원 이상에 비해 절제요인 점수가 높았다. 어린이의 식생활지침 실천도는 $78.8{\pm}10.5$로 양호인 편이었으며, 어머니가 비취업상태인 경우 취업상태인 경우보다 높았다. 어머니의 식생활지침 실천도는 $80.6{\pm}9.4$로 양호했으며, 비취업상태의 어머니가 취업상태인 경우보다 또한 연령이 40대 이상인 어머니가 40대 미만인 경우보다 높았다. 어린이 NQ는 어린이 자신의 식생활지침 실천도와는 물론 어머니의 식생활지침 실천도와도 유의적인 양의 상관성을 보였으며, 어린이와 어머니의 식생활지침 실천도 간에도 유의한 양의 관련성이 있었다. 이러한 본 연구결과는 초등학교 고학년 어린이의 식생활이 어머니의 영향을 크게 받는다는 점을 시사한다. 따라서 어린이의 식생활을 개선하기 위해서는 어린이를 대상으로 한 영양교육은 물론 어머니를 대상으로 한 식생활 교육도 필요하다는 점을 알려준다. 구체적으로 어린이에게는 콩이나 콩 제품의 영양적 우수성, 가공식품을 살 때 영양성분 등 식품표시 확인, 우유 섭취의 필요성, 짠 음식, 단 음식, 기름진 음식의 섭취 제한, 표준체중 알기 및 TV 시청과 컴퓨터 게임 시간 제한하기 등에 관한 내용을 강조해야 할 필요성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 어머니의 경우는 특히 취업상태이거나, 비교적 젊거나, 학력이 낮거나, 가족의 월수입이 높은 가정의 어머니에 초점을 맞추어 다양한 채소 섭취하기, 간식으로 유제품 섭취하기, 신체 활동량 늘리기와 함께 어린이가 나타낸 문제점에 관한 내용을 다룰 필요성이 있음을 알려주었다. 본 연구에서 어머니의 취업 여부와 연령, 학력 및 가정의 월수입에 따라 어린이 NQ는 물론 식생활지침 실천도가 유의적인 차이를 보이는 점이 확인되었으나, 조사대상자의 수가 많지 않았고, 광주광역시 소재 1개교에 국한되었으며 또한 고학년만을 대상으로 삼았다는 제한점이 있으므로, 앞으로 보다 큰 규모의 체계적인 연구를 통해 이러한 요인들이 어린이 NQ 및 어린이와 어머니의 식생활지침 실천도에 어떠한 영향을 끼치는지 규명할 필요성이 있다고 생각된다. 본 연구결과가 어린이와 어머니에게 어떠한 내용의 영양교육이 필요한지를 알리고, 어린이들이 올바른 식습관을 실천하고 또한 어머니들이 자신과 자녀의 식생활을 바람직하게 관리하도록 지도하고 교육하는데 있어 기초자료로 활용됨으로써 어린이 NQ를 높이는데 기여할 수 있기를 바란다.

ERP시스템 구축단계 별 주요성공요인에 관한 실증적 연구 (An Empirical Study on Critical Success Factors in Implementing ERP System)

  • The purpose of this stuffy is to derive critical success factors for ERP system implementation by integrating managerial, technical. human resource and organizational culture factors welch have been proposed as influencing factors for the performance of ERP system implementation in previous studios. Especially, this stuffy divides ERP system implementation process into preparation stave, implement stage and settle-down and stabilization stave, and then derives critical success factors in each stage. The data for empirical analysis of the research model are collected from 64 companies and the respondents for questionnaire consist of ERP system implementation project managers and user department managers in companies which have already operated it after ERP system installation. The main results of this study are as follows. First, it derives 27 success factors through comprehensive review of various factors which may affect ERP system implementation performance, and categorizes them into one of three stapes preparation stave, implement stage, and settle-down and stabilization stage. Second, the relationship between many success factors at each stave (preparation stave, implement stage, and settle-down and stabilization stave) and performance variables is tested. As a result, the significant correlations between many success factors at each stage and ERP system implementation performance are found, and the difference among success factors in the degree of influencing the system performance is significantly shown. finally, the relationship between process-oriented performance variables and result-oriented performance ones is tested. As a result, it is found that there is significant correlation between process-oriented performance variables except for one variable-project resource management appropriateness - and result-oriented performance ones. The theoretical contribution of this study is to derive a comprehensive model of critical success factors for implementing ERP system project from the system deve1opment life cycle perspective, and empirically test it through field survey with a wide range of data collection. And, the practical implication of this study is to present the desirable guidelines for performing ERP system implementation project successfully.
