The growth effects of newly developed recombinant human growth hormone (rHGH), were compared with those of Biotropine. For the effective evaluation, we examined the increasing rate of body weight and the thickness of tibial epiphysis as criteria of growth effects on hypophysectomised female rats treated with varing concentration of rHGH for 4 days. rHGH treated groups showed significant body weight gain which was less evident in Biotropine and vehicle treatment group. In tibial epiphyseal test, rHGH also showed clear effects compared to Biotropine and vehicle treatment group. Above findings indicate that newly developed rHGH has better effects of growth stimulation on female rats than Biotropine does.

This paper consider the effects of the human-body stiffness on the response of the footbridge to ground shaking by an earthquake. A mass-spring, suggested by Tianjian Ji(1999), describing the stiffness of the human body and an inert mass specified in the Code as the appropriate human whole-body model are used and the responses of the structure in both cases to ground shaking are were compared. Finally this paper ascertains whether the consideration of the human body as a mass is safe in the aseismic design.

Non-verbal information plays an important role not only in human-to-human communications but also in human computer interaction. In this paper, we examine effects of human-like agent's primitive movements on user's impression, where the human-like agent's primitive movements include eye, mouth, and head. SD (Semantic Differential) method was used for evaluation, and two factors were extracted as a result of the factor analysis. It is found that the first factor influenced the user's impression particularly.

The immune system is not fully developed in human neonates and infants; breastfeeding is important in this stage as the bioactive components of human breast milk are known to have anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory effects, and can therefore contribute to an infant's immunity against allergies, asthma, autoimmune diseases, and inflammatory bowel disease. Herein, the positive effect on the immune system by human colostrum and milk are reviewed.

This paper introduces new approaches attempted to evaluate quantitatively the effects of repeated shocks exposed to human. This attempt, by the members of ISO TC 108 / CS4, has been made to add a standardised draft of ISO 2631 Part 1 which covers newly the human response to repeated shocks. It contains the review of previous work related to shocks responses to human and suggests a mathematical model to predict the three-axis lumbar spine accelerations from the measured seat accelerations. The predicted accelerations are used to evaluate the vibration dose to the spine. The evaluated dose values are shown to enable the assessment of adverse health effects.

This paper analyzes the economic effects of the S&T Innovation, R&D, human resources and investment on the economic growth using 18 countries. We have obtained the somewhat mixed results on the existence of unit root roots in variables. While most of Pedroni cointegration tests show that there are no panel cointegration among the variables, Kao cointegration test shows that there is the panel cointegration among the variables such as GDP, human capital, R&D investment and patent. Kao cointegration test result shows that human capital, R&D investment, patent economic growth seem to have the panel cointegration or the long-run relationship among them as a whole. The estimation results of individual OLS and panel estimation show that the human capital, R&D investment and technology innovation or patent had positively significant effects on economic growth or GDP.

Recently, immersive VR/AR contents have actively increased, and various services related to VR/AR allow users to experience remote places. For example, if failure situations occur frequently in factory of the remote site, mixed reality (MR) with a synthetic virtual human expert in reconstructed remote location can help immediate maintenance task with interaction between the operator and the virtual expert. In this paper, we present a technique for synthesizing the virtual human after capturing a 360-degree panorama of a remote environment, and analyze the effects to apply a method of guiding virtual human by interaction types. According to this paper, it was shown that co-presence level significantly increased when verbal, facial expression, and non-verbal animation of the virtual human was all expressed.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is an immune disorder that is becoming increasingly prevalent throughout the world. The exact etiology of AD remains unknown, and a cure for AD is not currently available. The hypothesis that appropriate early microbial stimulation contributes to the establishment of a balanced immune system in terms of T helper type Th1, Th2, and regulatory T cell (Treg) responses has led to the use of probiotics for the prevention and treatment of AD in light of various human clinical studies and animal experiments. Meta-analysis data suggests that probiotics can alleviate the symptoms of AD in infants. The effects of balancing Th1/Th2 immunity and enhancing Treg activity via the interaction of probiotics with dendritic cells have been described in vitro and in animal models, although such an effect has not been demonstrated in human studies. In this review, we present some highlights of the immunomodulatory effects of probiotics in humans and animal studies with regard to their effects on the prevention of AD.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of discrimination abuser experiences and discrimination victim experiences on the human rights consciousness of children in community children, In order to understand the role of self-esteem as a mediating role between these two variables, And to find practical and policy implications. For this purpose, we selected 662 elementary school sixth graders who participated in the second panel of the community children's center, the third year (2016), as the sample and used the structural equation model validation method. As a result of this study: First, the experience of discrimination abuser against children in the community children's center has negative effects on self - esteem. Second, the self-esteem of children in the community children's center showed a statistically significant effect on human rights consciousness. Third, the experiences of child discrimination abuse and discrimination of local children's centers showed significant influence on children's consciousness of human rights through self - esteem. In conclusion, we proposed practical use measures to promote positive emotional development and human rights consciousness of children in community children's centers.

The registration of a pesticide for use in the gardens or a farmer's field requires assessment of the potential negative effects of that pesticide on human health. To anticipate how a pesticide might impact human health, laboratory animals such as mice and rats are exposed to varying dosages in their foods -from very minimal to extremely high levels. Toxicologists then evaluate the observable effect(s) of consuming known quantities of that specific pesticide on acute, subchronic, chronic, mutational, reproduction and neurological effects. Information gained from such test is evaluated by toxicologists and medical experts to determine potential human effects
