Human Resource Competency, Economic Potential, and Village-Based Enterprises' Productivity: The Mediating Role of Governance

  • This study aims to investigate the relationship between human resource competency, economic potential, and productivity of village-based enterprises, as well as understand the role of governance in mediating this relationship. This study was conducted in several village-based enterprises in Bali, Indonesia and the data were collected using questionnaires. Furthermore, the collected data were analyzed quantitatively using partial least analysis to confirm the relationship between variables. The findings indicate that human resource competency has an impact on governance, but it failed to explain the productivity of village-based enterprises. In addition, economic potential can have an impact on the governance and productivity of village-based enterprises in Bali, Indonesia. This study also showed a robust link between governance and productivity. Lastly, based on the statistical analysis, it was found that governance can mediate the relationship between human resource competency, economic potential, and productivity of village-based enterprises.

The effect of Adversity Index Perceived by Organizational Members on Entrepreneurial Orientation and Organizational Learning Competency

  • We study confirmed the relationship between the adversity index, entrepreneurial orientation, and organizational learning competency perceived by organizational members as follows. First, the adversity index showed a positive (+) effect on entrepreneurial orientation (hypothesis 1) and organizational learning competency (hypothesis 2). Second, the entrepreneurial orientation was statistically significant in organizational learning competency (hypothesis 3). Third, the partial mediating role of entrepreneurial orientation (Hypothesis 4) was confirmed in the process of the adversity index affecting organizational learning competency. Meanwhile, the main implications of this study are as follows. First, it is the aspect that provides additional theoretical implications in the reality that studies on the adversity index and entrepreneurial orientation that affect organizational learning competency are lacking. Second, it is the aspect that the importance of adversity index and start-up orientation was confirmed in improving organizational learning competency based on securing differentiated competitiveness for the advancement of the organization's sustainability management system. In addition, it is the aspect of drawing practical implications for strategic human resource management and human resource development to systematically improve it.

SI 프로젝트에 있어서 프로젝트 관리자의 정보화 역량과 관리 역량이 프로젝트 성공도에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 : 프로젝트 규모의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Effect of the Project Managers' IT Competency and Managerial Competency on the Success of SI Projects : Focusing on the Moderating Effect of Project Size)

  • Information Systems have played a strategic role in achieving business goal and become an essential tool in today's business environment. Thus, the number of developing SI project has increased and it becomes complex and sophisticated. It is known that project manager's leadership could lead the project success. In this study, project manager's competencies are divided into two types, information competency(information-oriented mind, information utilization competency, information development competency) and managerial competency(project management, human relationship, project expertise. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of information competency and managerial competency on the SI project success and to find out the moderating effect of project size. The result of this study reveals that information utilization competency, project management competency and human relationship have a strong relationship with both customers and suppliers side of projet success. Moreover, the relationship between managers' competencies and project success is shown to be different by project size. The result of this study implies that each managers' competencies has to be developed and applied according to project's complexity and size.

  • 본 논문에서는 급격히 변화하는 환경에서 생존하기 위한 기업 역량의 영향요인들을 전략적 인적자원관리의 관점을 통하여 해석하였다. 역량 중심의 전략적 인적자원관리에서는 인적자원역량을 증대하기 위하여 인적자원관리(HRM)와 기업전략과의 연계를 통한 학습기반의 형성이 중요함을 언급하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기업 경쟁우위의 핵심 결정요소인 기업역량 구축 과정을 인적자원역량과 대 고객 역량과의 연계과정으로 실증 검증하였다. 본 연구는 직업능력개발원의 인적 자본 기업패널자료 2차년도 데이터를 기반으로 분석하였으며, 가설검증을 위하여 구조방정식 모형을 이용하였다. 분석 결과, 인사부서의 전략적 참여와 정보시스템(IS) 활용능력은 인적자원역량에 모두 유의한 수준에서 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 인적자원역량은 대 고객 역량에 매우 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 검증되었다. 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구의 논의와 시사점을 제시하였다.

The Causality Analysis of the Impact of a Hotel Chief's Competency on Job Satisfaction and Customer Orientation : Focusing on Control Impact of Organization Concentration

  • Purpose - The purpose is to identify a structural effect relationship among a hotel chef's personal competency, job satisfaction and customer orientation. Moreover, this research tries to provide implications regarding effective human resource management strategies based on competency to strengthen job satisfaction and customer orientation by testifying the effect relationship of job satisfaction with the relationship between personal competency and guest orientation. Research design, data, methodology By targeting chefs working in five starred hotels in Seoul, the surveys have been distributed from April 1st of 2017 to April 20th of 2017 (approximately 20 days). Out of 300 distributed surveys, 250 were collected, and 246 were used, excepting 4, unhonestly answered. Results - It has been analyzed that a hotel chef's personal competency, self-control ability, customer orientation competency, interpersonal relation competency, gumption, and professional competency has a significant effect on job satisfaction, however, it has been identified that gumption has no impact on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has a significant impact on customer orientation. Lastly, there is a control effect on job satisfaction and customer orientation by organizational commitment Conclusions - It is able to propose the solutions to improve customer orientation, job satisfaction and organizational commitment of a hotel chef and the ways for human resource management.

국제 성인역량측정 프로그램에 나타난 성인역량 콘텐츠 분석 (Analyses of Contents of Adult Competency in PIAAC)

  • 실제 작업현장에서 요구되는 실천능력이 중요하다는 최근 이슈에 부응하여 OECD에서는 국제 성인역량 측정 프로그램(PIAAC)을 개발하여 24개국 15만 7천 명 성인의 역량을 측정한 바 있다. 이 연구는 성인역량의 구체적인 개발 전략 수립에 앞서 성인역량 측정 프로그램에 나타난 성인역량 콘텐츠의 타당성을 검토할 필요가 있다는 문제의식에서 PIAAC에 나타난 성인역량 콘텐츠를 비판적으로 검토한다. 문헌을 활용한 개념적 분석을 통해 이 연구는 첫째, PIAAC의 핵심역량 콘텐츠는 성인의 인지적 능력뿐만 아니라 실천력을 측정하기에 타당성이 부족함을 지적한다. 둘째, 성인역량은 상호관련성을 가지고 총체적인 능력임에도 불구하고, PIAAC의 핵심역량 콘텐츠는 관찰 가능하고 측정 가능한 개별 지식이나 기능의 측면만을 강조한다. 셋째, PIAAC의 핵심역량 콘텐츠는 가시적인 행동요소를 중심으로 인간능력을 평가함으로써 인간의 인격적 속성을 배제하고 있다. 따라서 우리나라 맥락에 맞는 총체적이고 통합적인 성인역량에 대한 규정이 필요하고, 이를 측정하기에 타당성 있는 콘텐츠를 엄밀히 검토하는 일이 필요하다.

아동의 개인 및 가족 변인과 교실의 심리사회적 환경이 유능감에 미치는 영향 (Individual and Family Variables and Classroom Environment that Affect Children's Perceived Competency)

  • This study examined different individual, family factors and classroom environment that affect children's perceived competency. For an analysis, achievement motivation, intrinsic locus of control and anxiety were included in individual variables. For family factors, parental support and marital conflict were examined. For classroom psycho-social environment, teacher support, peer relations, classroom involvement and teacher control were used. The sample consisted of 565 fifth and sixth grade children. Statistics and methods used for the data analysis were Cronbach's alpha, Factor analysis, frequency, percentage, t-test, Pearson's correlation, and Hierarchical Regression. Several major results were found from the analysis. First, boy's perceived academic competency was higher than girl's. And no sex difference was in children's social and athletic competency. Second, boy's and girl's perceived academic and social competency and boy's perceived athletic competency had a positive correlation with achievement motivation, intrinsic locus of control, parental support, teacher support, peer relations and classroom involvement. And girl's perceived athletic competency had a positive correlation with achievement motivation, intrinsic locus of control, parental support and peer relations. But boy's and girl's perceived academic and social competency and boy's perceived athletic competency had a negative correlation with anxiety and parental marital conflict. Third, the most important variable predicting boy's and girl's perceived academic competency was achievement motivation. The most important variable predicting boy's and girl's perceived social competency was peer relations. And the most important variable predicting boy's perceived athletic competency was peer relations. On the other hand, the most important variable predicting girl's perceived athletic competency was father's support.

지식경영과 인적자원개발의 연계: 역량/정력 개발과의 연계 사례들을 중심으로 (Linking between Knowledge Management and Human Resource Development: Cases Focused on the Competency/Career Development)

  • 지식경영은 조직의 지식 역량을 강화시킴으로써 궁극적으로 조직 경쟁력을 향상시키고자 하는 혁신 패러다임이다. 지식경영을 도입한 조직들은 조직의 지식 역량을 강화시키는 과정에서 나름대로 많은 어려움 들을 겪고 있으며 그 해결 방안을 찾기 위해 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 이러한 문제를 효과적으로 해결하기 위한 하나의 접근방법으로 지식경영과 인적자원개발 간의 연계를 고려할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 지식경 영을 인적자원개발의 주요 영역인 역량 개발 및 경력 개발과 연계하여 운영한 두 개의 사례들을 소개하고, 이 사례들이 포함하고 있는 중요한 원리들을 보다 구조화된 형태로 정립한 모델을 제시하였다. 이 모델은 지식경영과 조직 구성원들의 역량 개발간의 시너지 효과가 창출되는 메커니즘을 제공하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있다. 본 연구의 사례와 모델은 조직의 역량 강화와 지식경영성과 향상에 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

유아의 조기영어교육과 이중언어발달에 영향을 주는 요인 (Children's Early English Education and the Factors on their Bilingual Language Development)

  • The study purposes to explore the effects of individual characteristics and home environments of children on their bilingual language aquisition, that is, to examine whether their English language competency is different from their Korean language competency depending on those variables. Thus English or Korean language competency of children who had had early exposure in English learning were studied in terms of child's individual characteristics such as age, gender, exposure period to English, intelligence, and experiences of visiting English-speaking countries, and home environments such as parental age, educational level, income level, their perceived English competency, their perceived significance of English and Korean language, and the frequency of using English at home. 72 children who went to English kindergarten were tested with Peabody Pictures Vocabulary Test-Revised (PPVT-R) in Korean version and in English version respectively. The results show that child's intelligence and experiences of visiting English-speaking countries influence their Korean language competency. Also child's age, exposure period to English and experiences of visiting English-speaking countries influence their English language competency. Moreover their mother's educational background, father's English fluency, mothers' English fluency, and the frequency of using English at home influence child's English language competency, whereas any variables did not influence child's Korean language competency. Accordingly, child's English and Korean language competencies are related to each other.

RI-Biomics 기술 직무역량 개발을 위한 역량모델 재정립 및 활용 (Competency Re-modelling & Application Plans for Development of Job Competency in RI-Biomics)

  • RI-Biomics technology is advanced convergence technologies that can be measured in real time and track in vivo behavior and metabolism of substances using characteristics of the radioactive isotope. Its application fields are increasing such as drug development, agriculture, development of new materials and their utilization, etc. In addition, according to domestic and international developments and changes in the RI-Biomics environment, RI-Biomics professionals are needed to train continuously. To develop systematic human resources basement and competency-based curriculum, we perform competency modeling of pedagogical perspective to targeted at high-performance on RI-Biomics. Furthermore, we redefine the competency model and verified by industry experts with focus group interviews. In the result, two general competencies and three professional competencies were extracted by interview. Each competencies are organized six sub-competencies and nine sub-competencies. In the finial steps, the same procedures were repeated to obtain the consensus of experts on derived competencies and behavioral objectives. The results of the study are applicable to enhance human resource management and to develop the curriculum for RI-Biomics expert training. It is expected to be used as reference material of long term-planning for RI-Biomics professional.
