Consumer Dissatisfaction Regarding Imported Famous Brand Goods - focused on age 20 - 30 female consumers -

  • This study provides references to reduce consumer dissatisfaction by identifying the level of consumer dissatisfaction after the purchase and use of imported famous brand goods. In addition, it was aimed to provide basic materials for consumer education programs that will induce the rational consumption of imported famous brand goods. The survey was conducted on females in their 20s and 30s. A total of 483 questionnaires were used for the analysis. The results were as follows:(1) Consumer dissatisfaction with the purchase and use of imported famous brand goods showed a slightly higher level than the median and, (2) consumers had a lower level of consumer dissatisfaction when they had a higher ability to use internet information, greater financial stress, a higher educational level, and a greater availability of consumer education through newspapers and magazines. Additionally, consumers had a higher level of consumer dissatisfaction when they had greater holdings of imported famous brand goods, greater monthly income, and more experiences with overseas travel.

The Consumption Value of Goods Effect on Purchase Intention of Corporate Brand Products: Study According to The Type of Goods (굿즈의 소비가치가 기업브랜드 제품 구매의도에 미치는 영향: 굿즈의 종류에 따른 연구)

  • In this study, in order to analyze the effect of the consumption value of goods on the purchase intention of corporate brand products, the model was tested using SPSS 21.0 and Smart PLS 3.0 by receiving questionnaires from 457 men and women who have purchased goods. After examining the consumption values of goods, such as limited, functional, aesthetic, hedonistic, innovative, and social ego values, and product satisfaction, the effect on purchase intention of corporate brand products was analyzed. All were found to be significant except for innovative value, and product satisfaction had a significant effect on brand attachment and purchase intention of corporate brand products. We have recently redefine goods according to the trend of the times, and put an academic significance on the first classification of goods into four categories: human brand goods, brand goods, tourism goods, and character goods. It was confirmed that there was a partial difference in consumption value and satisfaction according to the type of goods. Through research, it is intended to broaden the understanding of goods and suggest the possibility of effective and useful marketing by suggesting planning and development directions according to the target.

  • This study conducted a online survey (URL), DM, , E-mail, etc. were used to sample 371 people using the standard convenience sampling method, and 320 valid samples excluding 51 unfaithful respondents were analyzed by applying causality (SEM). First, the hypothesis was adopted with the influence of positive (+) on the emotional response of the human brand's goods value. Second, the hypothesis was adopted that emotional response has a positive (+) effect on consumption behavior. Third, the human brand's goods value has a positive (+) effect on consumption behavior, and the hypothesis was partially adopted. Finally, the indirect effect of emotional response in the relationship between goods value and consumption behavior was found to be statistically significant.

The Study on Goods Attributes and Brand Attitude by Fashion Brand (패션브랜드에 따른 상품속성과 브랜드 태도에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to 1) understand the importance of brands, which are known as one of the key purchasing points to consumers today; 2) 10 clearly clarify the various attributes of goods well-known to consumers; 3) to research the effect of the goods attributes on brand attitude. We examined 465 consumers to understand a purchase or a shopping habit with national and non-brand. The study used SPSS 11.0 package for a data analysis. Then using varimax rotation, we employed a factor analysis to analyze the data and obtain Cronbach ${\alpha}$ value. For more specific data analysis, we conducted t-test, regression analysis, and x2 analysis. The results are as followings: 1. The goods attribute is classified into product attribute, shop attribute, and price attribute. The product attribute is divided into wearability, labeling of size and quality, aesthetic expression, brand expression-harmony, textile-suitability, manageability and product assortment. The shop attribute is into shop environment, shopping convenience, promotion, salesperson service, convenience of location, shop's reputation. The price attribute is into price reasonability, price value, price economy, and price information. 2. The product attribute is different, by national and non-brands, in wearability, labeling of size and quality, brand expression-harmony, textile-suitability, manageability. The shop attribute had a significant difference in environment of shop and its reputation, and the price attribute had one only in price economy. 3. The brand attitude was affected by wearability, aesthetic expression, shop environment, price value, and price information. 4. Also, there exists a difference by demographic variables(age, job, academic background, marriage, income level) in brand attitude. For example, national brands have its consumers with the following variables: higher education, higher income, professional job, over 20s, and married.

Qualitative Study on the Benefit Sought and Brand Loyalty by Product Category of the Luxury Goods Through In-depth Interviews with Professionals in Fashion Industry

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the benefits sought by luxury good customers contingent on product category, and to understand the relationship between the benefits sought and brand loyalty. A qualitative approach was used; therefore in-depth interviews were conducted with seven panels of professionals in the luxury industry. The findings are as follows: 1) Handbag customers mainly seek the social benefits in order to express their social status by purchasing well-known, easily-recognizable brands. 2) Shoe customers primarily seek the practical-functional benefits, which are comfort and function. 3) Small Leather Goods customers seek the social benefits for themselves and as gifts for others. 4) Brand loyalty for handbag customers is reported to be low, as their primary goals are the social benefits. Rather than devoting themselves to one specific brand, handbag customers prefer to purchase from various brands. 5) Shoe customers have reportedly higher brand loyalty, as they tend to come back to brands when they are satisfied with the benefits they pursue. The findings of this study provide more information on the practical implications of luxury good customer purchasing habits. Firstly, customers pursue different benefits depending on product category, and secondly, brand loyalty differs by customers' benefits.

An Exploratory Study on the Clothing Purchasing Motives of Male Consumers in Multi-brand Fashion Stores (남성 편집매장 소비자의 의복구매동기에 대한 탐색적 연구)

  • This study identified the internal motives for the purchase behavior of Korean male consumers in multi-brand fashion stores by conducting in-depth interviews with 8 men in their 20s and 30s. All respondents had significant experience with this type of store. Data were analyzed in an inductive way and compared with Bohemianism to interpret and described the results as a recent phenomenon of men's fashion. The five internal motives were extracted from analysis: the pursuit of freedom of expression, the counter-cultural resistance to department stores and domestic fashion brands, which tend to copy designs from international brands, the pursuit of mobility and adventure for trying to search and wear a new fashion style, the pursuit of pleasure through store experience, and the pursuit of artistic value by considering goods purchased in multi-brand fashion stores as artistic and cultural goods.

Brand Relaionship Quality(BRQ) Perceived by Fashion Product Consumers and Its Performance Variables for Fashion Product Types (패션 상품군별 소비자가 인식하는 상표관계본질(BRQ)과 성과요인 간의 인과모형 차이)

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the difference of Structural Equation Model which shows the path between BRQ and its performance variables according to purchase product types-fashion brand types, clothing item groups. The subjects were women in their 20s to 40s living in Seoul and Metropolitan areas, and 482 copies of questionnaire were analyzed. Multi-Group Analysis of AMOS 5.0 Package was used to investigate structural equation model according to fashion brand types and clothing item groups. The results of this study were as follows. As for fashion brand types, there appeared to be significant differences between high price brand type and medium-low price brand type for three paths, namely brand satisfaction to brand loyalty, BRQ to brand attitude, and brand attitude to brand loyalty. However the verification of structural equation model according to clothing item groups showed no significant differences between formal wear and informal wear. Consequently, BRQ was proved to affect brand satisfaction and brand loyalty, and brand satisfaction was the important intermediate variable between BRQ and brand loyalty. As consumers were likely to show the difference of structural equation model according to the price of purchase goods, differencial marketing strategy would be suggested.

A Study of Minimalism in Environment-Friendly Fashion (환경 친화적 시각에서 본 패션 미니멀리즘에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze minimalism in the environment-friendly aspect and to suggest methodology of environment-friendly fashion design. The results of this study are as follows. First, it is possible to create newly fashion-designed goods by re-arranging used goods. This method is environment-friendly, in that it recycles resources and simplifies production process. It can also meet the sense of beauty of consumers by reviving the intrinsic beauty of the used goods. Second, When we produce brand new fashion-designed goods with used goods as raw materials, the new ones reflect specific characters of the used goods which originate from their own times and regions. In this way, this method can be a fashion design which accommodate multi-cultural trends. Third, it is possible to produce goods designed by inspiration from a human body. This fashion-design method includes several ways, such as usage of human body silhouette, composition of colors using natural dyeing, and usage of natural materials. Recognizing a human being as a creature interacting with the nature can broaden range of imagination in design methodology.

Male Consumers' Behaviour in a High-Priced Clothing Market - Based on Depth Interviews for Brand Image Evaluation -

  • Since the Korean economic crisis in 1997, consumers are selecting goods that are more economical and more reasonably priced. Markets for wealthy people, however, have seldom been influenced by economic conditions. Consequently, 'noble marketing' is a new term that marketers should become acquainted with (Kim, 1998). The continuously expanding 'noble market' that generates high profit for marketers needs to be explored, especially the men's wear market. This study adopted a qualitative method (i.e., in-depth interview) with 16 male consumers each. These men who spent more than 3,600,000 won on apparel goods in 2000 and each man had purchased at least one item-suit, jacket, trousers, or coat-from a list of high-priced brands that were selected by the researcher. Findings imply that material or functional benefit of the high-priced apparel were not a critical determinant for choosing the brand. Rather, a socially well-established image for the brand name, especially in terms of psychological/symbolic appeal, played a more important role. This finding supported previous studies. Therefore, for high-priced men s wear, the role of promotion, including advertising or word of mouth, is critical; the image that advertisers should promote is one that characterizes the clothing, and ultimately the wearers, as dignified, legitimate, traditional, and upper class.

Consciousness and Purchasing Attitude of Fashion Luxury -Focused on the College Students in Daejeon - (패션 명품에 대한 의식 및 구매 태도 -대전지역 대학생을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine consciousness of purchasing fashion luxury and to investigate the extent of post-purchase satisfaction among young college students. 400 consumers living in Daejeon were surveyed for the purpose. We used, for a data analysis, descriptive statistics, frequency and ANOVA. The results are as follows: 1) There were significant differences in consciousness of purchasing fashion luxury by demographic variables, such as sex, age, and major. Females with a clothing & textiles major marked higher scores in both interest and preference for fashion luxury. They regarded it as the goods with high price, high brand, and high quality. 2) One of the best items of fashion luxury goods was a watch for the students. Cosmetics was also one of them. Yet, the students were unsatisfied with shoes, bags, apparels, sunglasses, cosmetics, and accessories. 3) Most of college students were willing to purchase bags. The purchasing motives of fashion luxury were to be self conspicuousness, self satisfaction and fashion brand image. 4) Well-known luxury brands were Channel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Burburry and Prada. They were also preferred.
