  • It is well known that the sexagesimal cycle(干支) has been playing very important role in ordinary human affairs including astrology and almanacs and the arts of divination(術數). Yin-Yang school related the cycle with the sixty four hexagrams and the system of five notes(五音) and twelve pitch-pipes(十二律), and the processes to relate them are called respectively NaJia(納甲) and NaYin(納音) and quoted in Shen Kuo's Meng qi bi tan(夢溪筆談, 1095). Yang Hui obtained the process NaYin in the context of mathematics. In this paper we show that Yang Hui introduced the concept and notion of functions and then using congruences and the composite of functions, he could succeed to describe perfectly the process in his Xu gu zhai qi suan fa(續古摘奇算法, 1275). We also note that his concept and notion of functions are the earliest ones in the history of mathematics.

It is dominated by yugajeok worldview by streamlining the whole Chinese society to build a modern society and the country was a critical task. However, multi-cultural life of Lin, Hui-yin and Ling, Shu-hua in the history of the world's attention to the shrine was worried attention to soils, rather than East-West dualism law by taking a mixture of both women in modern Chinese literature and Western literature from the center of efforts to overcome the traditional point hayeotdaneun feminist literature that may be different. Lin, Hui-yin and Ling, Shu-hua to overcome the Western-oriented culture really the true dream of China's globalization and localization could be regarded. She naesewotdeon the banner of feminist literature in the traditional 'anti feudal', 'free personality' silcheondoen under such slogans as well as women's liberation from traditional, male-oriented perspective away from the women's unique experiences and new understanding of the value of the superiority the concept of a woman, and was to create. In particular, the femininity of these women who traditionally associated with women and the unique culture - the creation of a new consciousness, a re-evaluation of traditional feminine skills and talents was to try to.

  • Objectives: To compare symptoms and characteristics among patients diagnosed with Hwabyung according to their yin-yang personality types. Methods: A structured clinical interview was conducted to diagnose Hwabyung, followed by a cross-sectional study involving a total of 118 Hwabyung patients (95 females). Various measures including the Sasang Personality Questionnaire (SPQ), Hwabyung Comprehensive Test (HCT), HwaByung Scale (HBS), State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory (STAXI), Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), Eogul Scale (ES), and Patient Health Questionnaire-15 (PHQ-15) were administered. Results: SPQ-total showed significant negative correlations with HBS-personality and STAXI-control, and a significant positive correlation with STAXI-out. SPQ-behavior showed significant positive correlations with HBS-symptom, STAXI-trait, STAXI-in, STAXI-out, BDI-II, BAI, ES, and PHQ-15. SPQ-cognition exhibited significant negative correlations with HBS-personality, STAXI-control, and ES. SPQ-emotion had significant negative correlations with HBS-personality and STAXI-in and a significant positive correlation with STAXI-out. SPQ-Yin demonstrated a significantly higher HBS-personality than SPQ-Yang. SPQ-Yang exhibited significantly higher STAXI-out than SPQ-Yin, whereas SPQ-Yin showed significantly higher STAXI-control and STAXI-in than SPQ-Yang. Although differences in depression, anxiety, resentment, and physical symptoms between yin and yang were not statistically significant, variations in interpretation criteria were observed. Conclusions: Anger expression patterns and physical/psychological symptoms among Hwabyung patients are different based on their yin-yang personality types. These findings can inform the prediction of symptoms in Hwabyung patients according to their yin-yang personality types and aid in establishing appropriate treatment plans.
